Its such a travesty that i have not written them yet but they are the dynamic i go batshit insane over. The Parallels. the. The Difference in. In how they mask. Their hearts. Their kindness. Its so similar. to eachother. mafuyus little "i havent seen you in a while... im glad" with her little smile. Mizuki saying that it'd just be the four of them at scramble fan festa so mafuyu wouldnt have to mask the entire time i fucking LOVE them

even like on a surface level theyre so freaking cute. girl whos like :D and guy whos like o_o (I love it when they transmasc mafuyu its wonderful) I just love them so terribly. I need them to hug i need them. to kiss eachother maybe.

In terms of what i wantfor them down the line... i'd love to see a sort of thing after ena5 maybe where. Mizukis not been to school in a WHILE and has a lot of stuff to catch up on so mafuyu sits with her and helps her. and mizukis like. kind of low energy but mafuyu doenst question it, just lets her sit there, just helps her with the equations a bit. mafuyu chan. GOD WHERE DO I EVEN BEGIN. WITH THEM? I feel like ... i feel like a lot of Nene's attitude. toward everyone near the beginning of the wxs story. And toward herself really. It's just a big. Culmination of self hatred. She hates herself because she can't even talk to anyone without shaking, can't go on stage, lets people down... and she's bitter toward Rui because she hated that she couldn't do anything about their relationship. Letting people down.

i wanna draw attention to the way she talks about him near the beginning vs after her talk with tsukasa:

Do you see the difference? "he just has to try it out. people avoid him. heres the things hes done" vs "he gets absorbed in his work, and he's alone but i dont think he wants that". One is pointed, the other is sympathetic.

DO I THINK NENE HATES RUI. NO. But that's the thing with her. Her self hatred. she projects it onto others. Like in smile of a dreamer when she snapped at Tsukasa. And rui knows this behavior because he's immediately like "oh you must be worried about emu". because she didnt know what to do.

But then they grow together, and nenes attitude toward herself becomes kinder, and gradually her problems can be shared with them and it all just. becomes better. They Grow. And that's what i love about them. Rui "i've never seen nene shine like that before" kamishiro. Nene "i like your shows" kusanagi. I just i love them so much.

Ruinene i also consume both platonically and romantically but with like. a veer toward romantic. the way i write them is like if theyre dating but i rarely ever establish that fact (like i'll never have them outright say it) unless i'm writing with Explicit Polysho. I jjust. I love them so bad. I write the most for them i. draw the most for them. I love them.

Prologue, I love my not so normal life

In the busy city of Seoul, Korea.. the sun hits the earth, greeting it with a warm light as citizens begin waking up from their slumber, woking to a new day and a new start. 

The sunray hits the bedroom window of a young woman, seemingly in her early age as she sleeps peacefully, not noticing how her mother shouts from the kitchen for the 10th time that morning. 

“Sohee! Wake up, it's time for school! You are gonna be late…” The mother said in a frantic manner, before sighing as she turned to call her husband for help. “Jinwoo! Your daughter isn’t waking up!” The father in question laughs off as he shakes his head in a friendly manner before turning the door knob entering his daughter’s room. “Sohee, wake up, sarang it’s time to go to school, wakey wakey now..”

A groan was heard in response, “Mhhh 5 more minutes…. dad…” the girl answered with her bed voice. “No sweetheart, your mommy is gonna get us killed if you dont wake up right now…” the father chuckled as he hold his daughter’s head gently. “Come on now sohe-” before the father could finish his sentence, a young boy came storming to the room busting out the door leaving a loud sound of the door hitting the wall “Sohee have you seen my soccer ball???” A young boy seemingly not far from the young girl’s age, the girl in the bed whines in anger as she grabs her pillow throwing it right towards the boy’s head before speaking in a low voice. 

“Sung Suho, you have exactly five seconds to run… 1…2…3…4…” the father turns towards his son, “Suhoo, what did i tell you about knocking the door..?” “Uhm aha i think, i forgot something…oops nevermind forget about my soccer ba-” as the boy finishes his sentence, the girl speaks as she runs chasing the poor boy, “..5!” “Ack! wait Sohee I’m sorry!!!” The boy shouts as he runs down the hallway frantically. The father sighs as he returns back to the kitchen helping his wife prepare breakfast and lunch for the kids.

“Looks like Sohee woke up already..” the mother sighed as she continued packing her kids lunch, “Chaotic as always, huh?” The father just laughs in satisfaction before planting a kiss on his wife’s forehead in a gentle manner, before hearing his son’s complaints. “Dad!! Sohee is abusing me again!” “Did, Not!” “Did so!” “Did, Not!” as the kids continue to argue.

Hey guys! i know i haven't updated the jinwoo acheron fic and robin fic but i got a brand new idea from reading solo leveling special chapters...so here i am, pouring out a scenario where jinwoo had two kids, suhoo and soohe (the oc) and for this, i'll go into more details abt soohe!!

what if project sekai x aikatsu collaboration is real??????

okay so ujm my head keeps thinking what if a pjsk x aikatsu collab happen like what songs they would cover and possible cards, sooo i decided to make this little kinda "what if" post! I will imagine what songs units will cover, possible duets and more!!! (also note im just doing ogkatsu ichigo-akari gen cuz i havent rly watched much of the others, plus im most familiar with ogkatsu)

Lets start with imagining this collab is a big collab, and it has cards featuring aikatsu characters and all (i will explain this at the end of the music discussion!) its such a big collab that it lasts two weeks or perhaps two events (one for ichigo gen, and the other for akari gen maybe) which means there should be 10 collab cards, three gacha cards and two event cards for each event (the usual pjsk 2* will be replaced with a 3*) as for the songs, lets say each unit release 1 unit cover, 1 unit duet and 5 cross duet with unique characters which means 15 songs!!! and there might be dupe songs where it appears in 2 units or more... thats just be struggling to decide who should cover it lols

music discussion!!

before i start doing the music let me tell you how it works! I will seperate the covers into 3 categories: Unit cover, a song sang by the unit (no vocaloids). Unit duet, 1-2 from the same unit sings together with the original singer of the song, ex: minori x akari with song A or minori, haruka x akari, sumire with song B. And lastly crossover duet/crossduets! Its a duet between 2 characters from a different unit with the original singer of the song, something like the cup noodle collab songs that was sung by the siblings from different units! ex: mafuyu, emu x yurika, kaede with song C. I will mostly pay attention to how the songs fits the characters/units aesthetic and how much their voice match the song! I wont be basing them off the lyrics much though. i will be listing 3 possible songs for unitcover and unitduet, while the crossduet will most likely be random thoughts. Now lets start :3

The first character I first fell in love with: mafuyu. instant love. and i've loved his precious floof son for over 2 years now. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: honestly??? kasai. like i was meh on her but i do enjoy her character and it lowkey does annoy me how ppl still focus on chapter 6 but ignore chapters 7 and 12 and were like what??? at chapter 43 now??? come on. The character everyone else loves that I don’t: i thoroughly find the entire cast of given interesting and like each one to a certain degree. so for each cast member i do have a bit of love but if i were to name one i don't feel as much for is... yuki. and like i find the guy super hecking interesting and his importance to mafuyu's life, but there's just so little info on the guy that makes it difficult to know what he was really like. all we know that's concise is he was the centre of the childhood friend group, he was mafuyu's boyfriend and first friend, he and mafuyu were hella codependent, at a point he spent all his free time with the band and doing jobs so had zero time for mafuyu, and ofc he isn't around anymore. i want to know more abt him but most of what we've gotten is from either the rumours from jr high or hiiragi and shizu's pov and both had polarizing views of him. the best take we could get is from mafuyu but he hadn't opened up about him much at all so henceforth he's a mystery. i'm intrigued but the combination of lack of proper info on him and his fanbase being highkey really hecking toxic i just feel wary. The character I love that everyone else hates: kasai. please can we move past her telling ritsuka abt the rumours about yuki and idk look at her apologizing and even being the reason ritsuka went to visit mafuyu while sick instead? like she's the one who suggested it. The character I used to love but don’t any longer: uhhhh i like every character. i guess maybe... my favour for shizu has kinda faltered a tad bc of current events. though i also feel utmost concern for him bc he just seems like he's not in a good or healthy headspace rn and i worry. plus the guy's one of the youngest of the cast so he has room to grow too. The character I would totally smooch: i would smooch p much the entire cast but most importantly i would smooch the living daylights out of kedama. best floofer. deserves more love honestly. The character I’d want to be like: stopping to look at the cast uhhh... probably a die between the uenoyama siblings. ritsuka is honestly such a good guy who looks out for everyone and wears his heart on his sleeve and even helps out those who aren't that nice to him. yayoi for her empathy and honestly??? ability to just be open abt feelings and stuff. i'm shy as heck let me not be shy pls. The character I’d slap: in a loving way i'd slap ritsuka to tell him it's okay to let others know he's hurting and to stop overworking himself. the poor guy is wasting away bc he's doing all-nighters and is blaming himself for everything like pls boy stop. it's not your fault. A pairing that I love: ritsumafu is my brainrot haha. i love the pairing so much why else have they been my artistic muse as of late? i also love the other canon pairs in given and also have a soft spot for yayoi and aki haha. A pairing that I despise: any pairing that has ritsuka paired with anyone that isn't mafuyu and similarly any pairing that puts mafuyu with anyone that isn't yuki or ritsuka. i just... the thought of that makes me uncomfortable. it's not for me.

I’m torn because... on one hand, I want to give proper mythology and such for like--anything that’d be put into the show, but on the other, I liked the idea that Alix’s brother was just sort of a conspiracy who thought of stupid stuff (which is why I kept the concept for MC Jalil Kubdel).

Zoe did it really well in Scarlet Lady where Alix knew the actual mythology and started blurting it out whenever Jalil got it wrong.

Considering “Ikari Gozen,” I imagine Alya and Kagami don’t get along as well. I agree with basically everyone that Marinette and Kagami not getting along is bad, but Alya and Kagami not really getting along makes more sense and is more tolerable.

Since Alya is Marinette’s “““BFF”““ (supposedly), I could see her kind of being like, “You’re competing with my girl over the same guy,” and keeping Kagami at arm’s length, worried that keeping Kagami close will allow Kagami to be closer to Adrien since Adrien is an extension of their friend group (kinda, sorta, not really, but Marinette calling him a friend so technically--)

You know, Alya trying to be a good friend and help Marinette with Adrien in more subtle ways. It’s the wrong way to go about it but she’s trying.

LUKANETTE IS AMAZING IN TERMS OF PROGRESSION KDJNGJDFG, I ADORE IT. Every episode they share together, we either learn something new about them or see more details on their relationship.

I think I was already all-in before “Silencer,” but man, that episode just sealed it even more. I was like well dang, why does the love square even EXIST???

Ugggggh, the worst part is that I have the same exact fear that they really are going to be like yeah Ladybug you silly fool Chat Noir has been with you since the beginning!

I mean, we’re already basically getting that with the New York special; Chat was supposed to protect Paris and then didn’t tell Ladybug that he “had to” leave for New York (and the New York thing is inadvertently Marinette’s fault and parts of the fandom actually did blame her for it even though it was Chat’s choice not to say anything), then Ladybug gets upset with him when she discovers it mid-battle, which leads to Chat being distracted and Cataclysming someone (another thing that Ladybug can be “inadvertently” blamed for), then Chat gives up his miraculous so Ladybug isn’t even allowed to be angry and cue the later line of “I can’t imagine being Ladybug without... him.”

So clearly that’s saying something. Adrien doesn’t get anything close to that level and Marinette is chewed out for not asking him to stay when Nino had already asked him too.

It’s like--Marinette chooses to go after Adrien and then gets either nothing in return, or humiliated by the narrative, and then in the New York special, she decides to do nothing and everything still goes wrong while Alya yells at her for it. The “damned if she does, damned if she don’t,” on display is stunning. The girl tries to confess and it’s like, “no, not allowed, but Chat is allowed to confess.”

I still don’t understand this logic of his overarching plot but also “there’s not much of a timeline.” I think the only solid thing we’ve ever gotten was something about all the episodes in one season coming after all the episodes in a previous one, but there are still things that don’t add up? The only thing the season 3 production order will give is making sure the hero debuts work out (so no Viperion or Pegase before “Party Crasher,” for example).

It’s not really reliable. I mean, like--I’ve been experimenting with timelines for a while, and stuff like “Miraculer” baffles me. It’s basically non-canon with no value whatsoever. All it does is make “Heart Hunter” look even more confusing and treats Marinette even more horribly for not picking Chloe when she explicitly told Chloe that she wasn’t getting it back.

I’m not familiar with that one! Is it any good?

And yeah, I’m not really capable of not analyzing shows. There are some small exceptions, but they’re usually not full shows in the normal sense. If there’s an ongoing plot, my mind tends to be working at all times.

In terms of Miraculous, Season 1 was harmless enough where I was bothered but pretty quiet about it, but then it just got progressively worse. It really feels like one of those things you can’t unsee when it finally hits you, y’know?

1 - Yeah, the whole thing with Homura not “being able” to save everyone... kinda questionable, and I didn’t really buy the arguments they used to explain it away. I think there was this one PSP game or something with Madoka Magica where you could kind of choose what happened (like, there were bad ends where Sayaka didn’t get her soul gem back in time and her body was partially decayed; ick) and I think there’s a good end where Homura saves everyone but--yeah, not canon.

I just don’t care for twisted stories like that unless there is actually a good end on the horizon (and I mean like “Everyone Lives and is Happy” good end). Angst is just so exhausting so the second I saw Mami’s head being bitten I was just like, “Ah, okay, so we’re doing this then.”

2 - Eugh, the sexism thing. It’s so... yeah, and especially this because the whole “girls are emotional” thing, I don’t really care whether or not the show is trying to “subvert” or “explain” anything, it just feels like poor taste and I don’t like it. (I also didn’t know about that Death Note thing because I didn’t watch it, but geez.)

3 - Wow, I’ve been away from the show for so long that I forgot what Mami’s wish was; I thought it was to “not be alone” or something (or maybe not die alone?? I really don’t remember), but either way, the fact that it follows some sort of genie wish logic is just--*sigh*--they’re teenage girls, come on (plus, the “genie wish logic” is really overdone to me anyway).

4 - The other thing about Sayaka is that it’s really predictable that she’d “die so quickly.” Basically everything was pointing to her just being annihilated at some point, and being Madoka’s best friend, it was pretty inevitable that she’d go.

I think the main ship from Given (Mafuyu and Ritsuka) is really adorable (you might’ve seen the amusing video of their love being mutual before), and while I would’ve said the same thing for the kinda-sorta side ship, it gets--uh... really bad during the movie/rest of the manga, I’ll just say that much.

Inuyasha kinda? Though Inuyasha and Kagome are definitely not the kind of romantic chemistry that I lean towards (I find “the bickering couple” to be rather exhausting). Plus, Cardcaptor Sakura did the “male tsundere” better than Inuyasha did (though the Clear Card Arc was terrible, at least it’s not canon kinda-sorta? idk it seems like a mix of the anime and manga so...).

I mean, there’s probably a couple more examples somewhere, but--yeah, I’ve got nothing. Maybe if I thought back to all the generic children shows I watched when I was little (like those old Disney live-action shows; I had no taste when I was younger), there might’ve been something that satisfied kid me but idk.

My main issue is Aang’s attitude about the whole thing. I’m not saying it was right of Katara to go out and get “revenge via murder” exactly, but I also think that Zuko had the right idea with allowing her to go and face the man who killed her mother so she could get some form of closure (also note that Zuko doesn’t express any sort of opinion when Katara decides not to kill him; he just wanted her to have whatever she thought she needed to heal).

It’s also the episode where Zuko directly confronts Aang on his “violence isn’t the answer” rhetoric which then goes completely ignored as Aang lionturtles his way out of the conflict. Aang is also not confronted on his point of “forgiveness is the first step to healing” (when Katara has a right not to forgive and Aang isn’t challenged outside of Katara commenting on it) and was permitted to ride his high horse when Katara “steals” Appa like, “It's okay, because I forgive you... that give you any ideas?” which is just--

reaaaaaally "holier than thou”-esque when Aang is like, ten, and Katara is a sort of motherly figure to him. The episode even has Sokka praise Aang for how “wise” he is and I groaned through the entire thing.

Another smaller thing is that it sort of makes the air kingdom look way too “perfect” by having Aang be the “source of wisedom,” especially when it’s like “violence isn’t the answer” while all the other airbenders are dead.

Man, I’ve had it with Shinshokan’s small-ass covers. 😂

What more do I have to say? 

This was perfect in all honesty. Ever since I saw the cast, I knew that it’ll go off without a hitch. These two were born to play these roles, so good on Shinshokan for recognizing that and maximizing on it. What am I saying? I know how much they love Saitou Souma and Maeno bc of their prior work with them. 😂 I’m so excited for Saitou Souma in Love Nest! Also, I don’t think Shinshokan has messed up in the VA department yet. All them other companies better take some notes.

They spared no expense on this BLCD because not only did they get some more dialogues in, everyone you see in the manga that has a dialogue was voiced! And they all delivered! I really loved Marie and comp. And ooh! I can’t believe they got Lounsbery Arthur to voice Yuzuru! Just as I was going: “yo, this guy’s got a good voice”, I find out that it was Arthur! Damnnnn. OH AND KIYO-SAN, MY PRECIOUS BEAN, PROTECT HIM AT ALL COST!

Back to our main VAs, GOD! Saitou Souma is a chameleon, I tell you! There are some parts where I could almost hear Mafuyu, Yamamoto, and Theo, but they were so brief. More importantly, OH MY GOD?!?!?!?! HE’S SUCH A QUEEN!!! I know it’s weird to say this, but when he sucked Sei-san off in Chapter 3 page 135-139, it really sounded like he was giving a blow job in real life???!!!! WHAT KIND OF WORKSHOPS HAVE YOU BEEN GOING TO, SAITOU SOUMA?! I WANNA KNOW AND I WANNA JOIN!!! Also, let Eguchi on your secrets. I know you two are close. The level of believability he has is just out of this world, I tell you. He also did a comedic role back in XL Saizu, but while XL Saizu’s comedy was more unintended (since the characters are oblivious to it), the comedy here was more meant, so there really is a considerable difference. But that was nothing to Saitou Souma because he did Misumi’s changes in tone effortlessly! He could be screaming one second and then making you scream the next—all that without a hint of his Yamamoto, too! If anything, he sounded more like Honda-san most of the time. 😂 What a talented, talented man. I was right when I said that he was 2019′s Queen of Queens. 😌 #BLESS I really gotta thank Saitou Souma for all that he’s taught me because I got to apply them in real life. 😂 I can only dream to be this level of sluttery.

Moving on to Maeno Tomoaki—boy used his Kudo voice I died. Sei-san was already super attractive in the manga, but Maeno Tomoaki made him sex on legs!!! Although it wasn’t Yasumoto Hiroki level feels, Maeno sent me squealing into my bed, too! Mama, I want to be spoiled by this handsome man, too. 😭😭😭 I missed him so much. It’s been a while since I’ve listened to him in a BLCD (Escape Journey’s looks like it’s escaping to nowhere). AND OH MY GOD, OKITSU’S COMING IN NEXT!!! Lord, I want them to have at least one more pairing before I die. I feel like Shinshokan was just looking for an excuse to pair these two up because I don’t think they have yet. 😂 But despite that, their chemistry was off the charts! When I say I want shteamy mattress mambos, this is what I meant! 🔥🔥🔥

But I’m not gonna lie, though I was hyped up about this ever since it was announced, that dissipated with time (this is true with Kanawanu, too). I think I’d still feel the same even if I listened to this earlier. Idk. For me, the BLCD and the manga just dragged on a little bit too long for my liking considering that it wasn’t even that dramatic (the BLCD has two disks btw). But I guess this is all down to personal preference.

There were a considerable amount of added dialogues, though, so that is my only concern. I mean, I’m not saying that beginners couldn’t catch up, but I think it’ll be harder for them to. But do still listen to this if you’re a fan of the series because there’s great pacing, plot execution, and bomb-ass voice acting!!!

hi, so i just finished watching Given after finding about it like a few hours ago and my trash heart decided to get highkey invested in ugetsu and akihiko (versus haruki/akihiko) because evidently i love suffering aaand why no one is shipping them? they feel so intense? i am thinking about reading the manga idk if i am ready to handle all the angst there's seems to be (also them not being endgame?) but i really want to know what their whole deal is. sorry the randomness but i needed to say this

omg don’t apologize I honestly love any opportunity to examine the hell out of these characters because JESUS did miss natsuki kizu go tf off

A couple of things I should disclose before getting into this:

1. yes, you should absolutely read the manga I 100% recommend it

2. haruki bores the hell out of me (always has, idk why) and therefore, so does akiharu (so I’m not really gonna talk about them much here but it’s not hate)

3. I always knew akigetsu wouldn’t be endgame and I’m glad for it

Let’s get into it.

THE THING ABOUT UGETSU IS:He’s such a damn near perfect example of his character type.  Brooding artist, self-destructive, passionate, beautiful, terrible, volatile.  Above it all, he’s selfish.  Oh, childishly selfish!  “This is my toy!  I don’t want it, but neither can you.”

Life is art, art is suffering, so does suffering = life.  It’s not a theory to him, it’s the foundation of his reality.  He truly believes his music is/was being negatively affected by his happiness re:Akihiko.  He became complacent, tame, dull; satisfied.  What is satisfaction when you are always hungering for strife?  It’s the end.  It’s your downfall.  So, he put an end to it, because to Ugetsu, his music takes priority above all else, including himself, including his love.  To lose music is to lose his entire purpose... his reason for being alive.

THE THING ABOUT AKIHIKO IS:He is the human embodiment of a dry leaf in the breeze.  He doesn’t understand true passion.  He’s been half-assing his whole damn life. Half-assed studies, half-assed relationships, half-assed break-ups.  Someone like him could never fully understand a person like Ugetsu, and that infuriates him.  Let’s just be happy, he says, really meaning: Let’s be enough for each other.  But no-one will ever be enough for Ugetsu.  That’s what caught Akihiko’s attention in the first place, wasn’t it?  Aki is a child, too.  He likes all the same parts of Ugetsu that he hates.  “I love you, change yourself.”  

He doesn’t understand that by asking Ugetsu to stay with him he’s asking him to leave his art, or basically, to die.  Or maybe he understands, he just doesn’t care.

THE THING ABOUT AKI/GETSU IS:They are awful for each other.  They’re a nasty, festering, wound in each other and they won’t leave the scabs alone.  They yell, and scream, and breakup, and makeup.  How many times have they raised hands to one another?  In canon, twice.  Who knows about the other times, not to mention the non-physical ways they constantly try to hurt each other.  Ugetsu in particular, does it on purpose (not that Aki is a saint, but given the choice, he’d want things to work out, so most of the instigation comes from Ugetsu’s side).  He's always saying, “Oh, let’s breakup.”  He brings home guys when he and Aki are on the mend, but you see in that scene with Mafuyu that he’s always expecting it not to take.  He’s always hoping Aki will “defy” him and come home.  He wants Aki to choose him without having to choose Aki back.

It’s not cute.  It’s an incredible, fascinating, complicated dynamic that really adds a lot to the story, but it’s clear that this relationship is a catastrophe, a cyclical disaster.  It’s never going to change, and therefore never going to work.  The only way either of these characters will experience any growth and move the story forward it to somehow break the chain, and that means that at some point they break up for good.  Personally, I think it was handled really well.  I’m definitely satisfied with how this storyline unfolded.  You’ll have to decide that for yourself.

tl;drAll of this was basically a long-winded way of telling you to a) read the manga because it honestly adds so much depth and b) the reason people don’t really ship Ugetsu/Aki together endgame is because they were already sinking from the start.
