LSpeaking of speedsters, it reminded me of how CW Flash constantly forgets that super speed is EXTREMELY useful for CQC. A punch at that speed is gonna FLATTEN the average Joe.

Above is from Madvocate's "The Flash Is Insufferably Inconsistent - Season 1" video, highlighting the mechanical/balancing implications of your average speedster.

Add that onto Ruby, who as noted above absolutely HAS been shown to do things like land a WHALLOP on her sister without even being in a solid position to throw a punch, atop the fact that she would absolutely be holding back in this context...

Hell, the strength to handle Crescent Rose in either form while standing firm. When in the air she can POGO WITH THE RECOIL.

man i think this borders on nitpicky but they really shoulda made "she sucks if you manage to disarm her" a WEISS combat flaw like just also establish that she needs her weapon as a "focus" to help her use her Semblance as like a downside of/tradeoff for how complex and multi-faceted it is, and the fact that she can trigger it at a distance, and there you go. meanwhile Ruby's Semblance actually seems like one of the best an unarmed fighter could ask for, it gives you ridiculous maneuverability and dodging prowess, and super-speed strikes should logically translate into doing more damage.
