BACKGROUND

The twins were born a few years after their parents got married. Initially, their mother Jas was very cautious with them, not wanting to take them out in the city unless it was in the daytime & they were glamoured. They were allowed to read about any subject, Shadow World or mundane & their combat training started at 12, but they weren't allowed out on patrol until they were 14. Because of this, the twins have always been close--especially with each other, but also with their family. Parent-wise, Aaren is closest to their mom & Ciara their dad. They both came out to their parents during their teens.

APPEARANCE

(FC is Frank Dillane) He is a tall (5'10") man in good shape for his age and height. Aaren is noticeably toned, due to his Shadowhunter training. He appears to have a "natural tan". His eyes are dark brown with flecks of gold in them. His wavy, messy night blue hair is kept level with his shoulders. He has a nose piercing. Aaren wears boho clothes: mostly low-collared shirts with scarves & relaxed cuffed pants (often jeans).

PERSONALITY

Aaren is very reserved. He's introverted, opting to either spend time with just a few people at once or go do his own thing (which is usually singing, reading about mundane history, or metalworking). While hunting, he is very careful with his attacks, choosing to look for his opponent's weak points rather than go all in at once. He works hard at everything he does, especially when it comes to taking care of his sister & training for combat. Unfortunately, if something or someone ticks him off, he'll be moody for a while, keeping to himself rather than spending time with a loved one. He fears that he won't ever be as good as his parents are at hunting; in other words, Aaren doesn't think much of himself & he feels like he has a lot to prove.

APPEARANCE

(FC is Madison Bailey) She is a (5'5") woman in good shape for her age and height. Ciara is reasonably toned due to her Shadowhunter training. She appears to have a "natural tan". Her eyes are dark brown with flecks of gold in them. She wears her dark brown, wavy hair in a pixie cut. Her earlobes are pierced. Ciara is a grunge girl: cue the flannels, faded t-shirts & ripped jeans worn with boots. Sometimes she wears her Uncle Alec's sweaters (assuming they haven't fallen apart).

PERSONALITY

Ciara is a very energetic person. Some say she has her father's extra angel blood in her because of how fast she is--whether she's fighting or running around the Institute. She's responsible, making sure to take care of her weapons while balancing her schedule with training & socializing (speaking of, she loves going clubbing). Ciara has no problem flirting with someone to get what she wants; she's beautiful & she knows it. She even learned French partially to use the accent on unsuspecting targets. Finally, she tends to be petty, being a sore loser when she wins competitions or playing her parents against each other when she wants something. But her worst attribute is her jealous nature; since her parents have always doted on she & her brother, she feels slighted when those close to her aren't constantly checking on her.
