On Tuesday, April 18, the high school track team participates in the Falls City Sacred Heart track meet at Syracuse. There were 14 teams competing at this event. Overall, the boys team placed 4th and the girls team placed 6th.

It had been a long day, and I had been needing to hold myself together all day and “be strong”...but Alexis doesn’t make you feel that way. She encourages the idea that strength comes from vulnerability and being honest about where you’re at (even if where you’re at is straight up WEEPING on her kitchen floor). If you’ve been on this app longer than twelve seconds, you probably know about how beautiful she is. But you might not know about how she asks “have you eaten today?” when she sees you. Or how she brings you juice when you’re feeling under the weather. Or how she’ll FaceTime you while your family is in surgery. Through twelve years (?!?!?!) of knowing each other, she’s never once made me feel like I should try to be anything other than myself.
