Today, the police zeroed in on the autorickshaw driver.The police said the survivor is stable after surgery, but they have not taken a statement yet since she is incoherent. She is unable to tell where she is from, who are her parents or any other relative, a police officer said. However, a complaint was already filed in another district of Madhya Pradesh after a girl went missing. Whether she is that same girl is under investigation. She has a grandmother and a brother.CCTV footage show a man shooing away the young girl, who was half naked after the assault. She finally got help at an ashram, where a priest gave her his clothes and called the police. Twenty minutes later, the cops came, and she was rushed to a hospital.Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra have reported the highest number of cases of disappearance of women and girls between 2019 and 2021.Also, Madhya Pradesh reported the most incidents of rapes in the country in 2021- 6,462 - as per the National Crime Records Bureau data. MP man held as girlfriend accuses him of raping, forcing her to convert after watching 'The Kerala Story'

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on charges of raping his girlfriend and pressuring her to convert her religion. The woman filed the FIR against the accused following an altercation after watching 'The Kerala Story'.

A 23-year-old man was arrested in Indore for allegedly raping his live-in partner and pressuring her to change her religion. The woman had filed an FIR following an argument with the man after watching 'The Kerala Story', police said.

The man was arrested under provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Freedom of Religion Act 2021, which prohibits conversion by force or cheating, and the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Khajrana police station in-charge Dinesh Verma told reporters.

The woman filed the FIR against the man "after she fell into the trap of love under the pretext of marriage", Dinesh Verma said, adding that she was living with the accused, news agency PTI reported.

In her complaint, the woman accused the man of mentally harassing her and pressuring her to change her religion.

"The woman said she and the man recently went to watch 'The Kerala Story'. After watching the film, the duo argued and the man left her after assaulting her. She approached the police on May 19 and lodged an FIR," the police officer said.

The accused is a 12th pass and unemployed while the victim is highly educated and is employed with a private company. The police officer said the woman had met the man while studying in a coaching institute four years ago.

"All the allegations are being thoroughly investigated," Dinesh Verma further said.

'The Kerala Story', which was released in theatre halls on May 5, claims that women from Kerala were forced to convert to Islam and recruited by the terror group Islamic State (IS).

The movie, which had already generated controversy over its content even before its release, was banned in West Bengal on May 8, fearing tension among communities. Theatres in Tamil Nadu had decided to stop the movie's screening from May 7 onwards due to poor audience turnout and the law and order situation.

On May 18, the Supreme Court stayed the West Bengal government's order banning the film in the state and asked Tamil Nadu to ensure the safety of the moviegoers.

The movie has been declared tax-free in the BJP-ruled states of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Uttarakhand.

The Myanmar woman alleged that she was made unconscious and abducted by an auto-rickshaw driver in the Kalindi Kunj area before being gang raped.

New Delhi: A Myanmarese woman was allegedly gang-raped by four people in the national capital, informed Delhi Police today.

The Myanmar woman alleged that she was made unconscious and abducted by an auto-rickshaw driver in the Kalindi Kunj area before being gang raped.

According to Delhi Police officials, the woman is a registered refugee.

"A case has been registered by the police following her complaint," a police officer said.

According to the complaint, she was visiting somewhere in Southeast Delhi, along with her husband, for the treatment of their daughter, when the auto driver abducted her and took her to an isolated location.

"We registered a case on February 25 under IPC sections 365, 368, 376d,323, and 506," said a police official.

An investigation is underway, police informed further.

Earlier, on February 3, a three-year-old was allegedly gang-raped by two persons in Delhi's Fatehpur Beri area.

A woman reached Delhi's Fatehpur Beri Police Station along with her daughter aged about three years, stating that her daughter had gone missing.

She said she was looking for her daughter when her neighbour, Rani, informed her that she had seen her daughter walking near the jungle area.

The neighbour claimed further that she had also seen two persons going in the same direction, towards the Jungle area.

According to the mother, they searched the area and found the child crying and bleeding from her private part. When the mother enquired about what had happened, the child kept crying.

The child was taken for her medical examination to a hospital.

Following the complaint, the police swung into action and apprehended the accused.

The accused were iidentified as Ramniwas Panika (27) and Shaktiman Singh (22). Both belong to Sidhi district in Madhya Pradesh, officers said, adding that they were booked.
