Hi!!!
Could maybe write a Mary from Kakegurui fic where Mary doesn't like reader at all and then the reader starts dating Yumeko and all. After some time they broke up and Mary starts being protective of the reader during games and just in general. A confession at the end and maybe so kiss. It's okay if you don't want to write it.
She/her pronouns.
A Revelation
Mary Saotome x She/Her Reader (Yumeko Jabami x Reader at first, but Mary is endgame)
A/N: Heyyo, thanks for the request. Hope you like the result! Word Count: 2,946
Mary did not like (Y/n). Not that it was an achievement or anything, there were a lot of people that Mary didn’t like. Most of whom, came from her own class. Mary would not soon forget the treatment she had received upon first transferring to Hyakkaou last year.
(Y/n) may not have been one of the students to actively help Kokoro cheat her, but she hadn’t helped Mary either so of course the following year when Yumeko first invited (Y/n) into their little group for the debt swapping game, Mary made sure to let her displeasure be known. She didn’t trust (Y/n) as far as she could throw her, or Yumeko either for that matter. However, she didn’t really have much of a choice in the matter. All she really wanted, what she needed, was to get rid of the debt Yumeko and Yuriko put her in.
Fortunately, their plan worked flawlessly and Jun was the one left with millions in debt. Mary thought that would be the end of it, but no. Somehow gambling with Yumeko once made them all the best of friends. Over time, Mary could admit Yumeko had grown on her, like a cancer, sure, but she grew on her nevertheless.
(Y/n) only seemed to make Mary more exasperated the more she got to know her. She was an awful gambler, she couldn’t even predict the simplest probabilities or see through the most half-baked schemes of her competitors. Yumeko loved the thrill, but it only served to stress Mary out. (Y/n) was naïve, resigned to her station on the lower end of the school hierarchy just a few steps above a house pet. Mary wondered how she even managed to survive as long as she did without Yumeko and herself to drag her around like Ryota.
It was probably because she was so trusting. No matter the ridiculous idea Yumeko came up with, no matter what Mary told her to do, (Y/n) trusted their judgement even if at the time it looked like they were trying to throw her under the bus. That trust was probably the only thing Mary would begrudgingly admit she liked about her classmate. It reminded her of Tsuzura.
Mary rolled her eyes when she walked into the classroom that morning. Yumeko had pressed her desk against (Y/n)’s so she could cling to her. Not unusual Yumeko behavior, but it seemed excessive even for her.
“What are you idiots up to?” Mary grumbled.
“Mary! I asked (Y/n) if she would be my girlfriend and she agreed. Isn’t it wonderful?” Yumeko gushed, hugging (Y/n) tighter.
(Y/n) met Mary’s unimpressed stare and though she was already flustered from the attention Yumeko was giving her, she shied away, flicking her eyes to look anywhere else.
“Figures.” Mary scoffed as if she saw this coming from miles away. She didn’t really, but sure acted as if she did. “Just don’t let this get in the way of our gambles, got it?”
“Wouldn’t dream of it!” Yumeko beamed, rocking (Y/n) in her chair.
Mary didn’t think they could get any more annoying before they started dating, but once Yumeko and (Y/n) had gotten together, Mary could hardly stand them. Sometimes she swears she’d rather play Russian roulette in Midari’s murder basement than be stuck listening to Yumeko sweet talk (Y/n) all day.
And then there was all of the touching.
Yumeko couldn’t seem to keep her hands to herself. If Mary didn’t know better, she’d say her hands were permanently superglued to (Y/n)’s body. Mary had wished on more than one occasion that she could chainsaw Yumeko’s arms off. But perhaps what made her angrier than the touching, was how affected she was by it all. She shouldn’t give a damn what those two did, but seeing them together all the time pissed her off on a more personal level for some reason. Whatever reason that was, she refused to delve into it. She would scowl and bear it, but if she had accidentally walked in on them kissing one more time, she would rip their lips off with her bare hands.
Surprisingly, Mary didn’t have to put up with their relationship for terribly long. After two months, she walked into the classroom to find Yumeko sitting at her desk alone.
“Where is (Y/n)? I almost forgot that you weren’t literally joined at the hip.“
Yumeko sighed, resting her head on her knuckles she smiled sadly.
“I broke up with (Y/n) last night.” She informed.
“Huh?” Mary almost thought she didn’t heard her correctly.
First, there was no way they had broken up. They were so sweet, they made Mary feel the need to reschedule her dentist appointment to an earlier date. Second, when she accepted that yes indeed they had broken up, she couldn’t believe that it was Yumeko, touchy, clingy Yumeko, who initiated the break up.
Mary thought that if they ever broke up, it would be because (Y/n) finally got tired of Yumeko’s suffocating affection.
“Mhm, I realized that after we partook in a gamble last night, that our reasons for gambling are really quite different,” Yumeko explained, “while I gamble because I love gambling, (Y/n) gambles to help those see feels close to. So I realized, it just wasn’t fair to keep her tethered to me, because she only wants to gamble for my sake, not because she genuinely enjoys the thrill.”
“That sounds stupid.” Mary deadpanned. “But whatever, I’m glad I don’t have to watch you two be gross anymore.”
“Mary, that’s so mean!” Yumeko pouted.
Mary rolled her eyes, unmoved, and hung her bag on her desk hook.
“So is (Y/n) sulking at home or is she going to show up, because we were issued a gambling challenge yesterday that we need taken care of today.”
“I did see her this morning by the fountain, but she wasn’t feeling very talkative.”
“I wonder why.” Mary said dryly.
“We agreed to still be friends, but I guess she just needs a little time to herself before things go back to normal. She might skip class this morning. Hm? Mary, where are you going?”
“None of your business. Why don’t you go bother Ryota.”
“Huh?” Ryota turned in his chair, clueless as ever.
Mary walked out of the classroom, not sparing either of them another glance. She wasn’t sure why, but she suddenly felt the need for some fresh air and the fountain just happened to be the best place for that.
There she found (Y/n), sitting on the fountain’s edge with her knees brought up to her chest. Her cheek rested atop her knees as she watched the granite sculpture expel water endlessly.
“Hey.” Mary spoke gruffly, awkwardly.
(Y/n) rose her head, slowly turning towards Mary. She gave her a twitch of a smile, “Hey.”
“God, you look awful. Suck it up,” Mary sat down on the fountain’s edge near (Y/n), “You should be happy. You dodged a bullet. Two months delayed, but you dodged it.”
“Does it really count as dodging when I had to be pushed away?” (Y/n) mumbled.
She didn’t have it in her to get angry at Mary. She could tell that she was trying to cheer her up in that unique and not always helpful Mary sort of way—
“Ow!”
Mary reached out to pinch (Y/n)’s cheeks, a scowl on her face, “Just because you’re sad, it doesn’t mean you can talk back to me! Got it?”
“Got it!” (Y/n) rubbed her tender cheeks once Mary let go.
“We still have that gamble after school, are you gonna have your head in the game, or do we have to try to get out of it?” Mary asked.
“I can handle it.”
“Can you really?” Mary leaned in, scrutinizing (Y/n)’s expression.
“Really!”
“Good,” Mary stood up and brushed off the back of her skirt, “now, if we’re skipping class, we might as well do something worthwhile. I’m getting breakfast. Let’s go.”
“Okay.” (Y/n) smiled a bit more noticeably as she matched Mary’s pace and left the school campus together.
***
Mary only grew more considerate and protective after the breakup, which surprised (Y/n). She knew that Mary was actually quite the softy at heart, but she never had expected to be on the receiving end of Mary’s kindness. It was not something the girl gave out freely.
When Mary had taken her out to breakfast after Yumeko had broken up with her, (Y/n) thought that would be the extent of it. A very kind, one time gesture from a good friend because Mary wasn’t a coddler. (Y/n) was sure Mary had done it as a one time favor, to try to cheer (Y/n) up before their gamble later that afternoon, but Mary continued to check in on her.
When she was in a tough spot while gambling, Mary was always there to help her and if she wasn’t, she’d rush in as soon as she found out. When (Y/n) would mention how rough the school work had been lately, Mary would pull out her notes and help her make improvements. Once after an all-nighter, (Y/n) had accidentally fallen asleep on Mary’s shoulder and Mary didn’t push her off, she let her sleep!
And now a month later, (Y/n) couldn’t deny that she had developed feelings for Mary, and it kind of terrified her. Loving Yumeko had been easy. She was always so soft and warm like a puppy. Mary’s temperament on the other hand, was more like an old, distrustful dog that would snap if you reached into its personal space.
Sure (Y/n) had seemed to earn Mary’s favor, but would bringing up romantic feelings ruin it? Would it make Mary step away, or close herself off entirely?
(Y/n) was too afraid to find out, so she just did her best to bury her feelings deep down where no one could see them, but in a school where reading people was one of the biggest assets one could have, Yumeko took notice and it didn’t take her long to figure out what was going on.
“You should ask Mary out!” She had suggested excitedly, nearly making (Y/n) inhale the swig of water she took from her water bottle.
“What are-“ a cough, “what are you talking about?”
“You would be good together, and you want to be, don’t even try to deny it.”
(Y/n) twirled the bottle in her hands, watching it spin, “Mary doesn’t like me like that. She’s just, that’s how she is when…” words began to allude (Y/n), so she gestured vaguely with her hand making Yumeko laugh.
“…When she likes people.” Yumeko finished for her. “It’s an exclusive club, but I think you are on a higher tier than Ryota, Ririka and I are.”
“I am not.” (Y/n) denied.
“I disagree.” Yumeko grinned. “You definitely get extra special treatment.”
“Yumeko, I do not.” (Y/n) insisted.
“Yes you do!”
“I do not!”
“How about we review some of the things that she only does with you,” Yumeko held up a finger, “one, she holds your hand to pull you around wherever you need to go. I try to hold her hand and she swipes it away from me and threatens violence. Two, she sometimes makes you snacks and gives you thoughtful little gifts. Three, if someone tries to take advantage of you, she’s there to scare them away. Four, she invited you to her house. I am still so jealous about that! Do you need me to keep going?”
“I’m sure there are very logical, platonic reasons for all of that.” (Y/n) argued halfheartedly.
“Oh (Y/n),” Yumeko hugged her, patting her head like a child, “how did we even get to the dating stage?”
“Uh, you told me you wanted to take me on a date?” (Y/n) recalled.
“Oh yeah.”
“What’s happening here?”
(Y/n) and Yumeko turned to find Mary scowling at them.
“Mary, good morning!” Yumeko made the move to jump from (Y/n) to Mary, arms outstretched, but Mary threw out her palm and pushed against her forehead, stopping her from getting too close.
Mary’s hard stare locked onto (Y/n), making her tense up. What did she look so angry for?
“(Y/n),” Mary took her hand away from Yumeko’s forehead suddenly, almost causing her to fall face first into the ground. She grabbed on to (Y/n)’s wrist, pulling her out of the classroom, “come with me.”
“Where are we going?” Yumeko asked.
“You. Stay. Here.” Mary poked Yumeko hard in the chest with each deliberate word.
“Oh,” Yumeko smiled at (Y/n) almost mischievously, “I wonder where Mary is taking you this time, (Y/n). Alone together…”
Mary slid the classroom door shut in Yumeko’s face, nearly snipping off her nose. Then she continued leading (Y/n) away by the hand. When the halls filled with students thinned to nothing the further they went, Mary spoke,
“You aren’t thinking about getting back together with her, right?” She asked.
“Huh? No.” Yumeko was sweet, but once (Y/n) had time to reflect after their breakup, she realized that Yumeko was a big source of stress when it came to her extreme gambling addiction. But why would Mary care so much about the idea of them getting back together anyway?
“Keep it that way.”
“Mary?”
“We’re going to get coffee. I didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Okay.”
And when Mary continued to hold (Y/n)’s hand until they made it to the coffee shop and sat beside her on the same side of the booth they had claimed, (Y/n) thought that just maybe, Yumeko was on to something.
***
Two weeks later, (Y/n) asked Mary to meet her in the library. It was quiet there and kind of like a big maze. So if Mary rejected her, she could just lose herself in the shelves and never be heard from again. She couldn’t believe she was actually going to confess. Her heart pounded as she took note of the time. Mary would be there any minute.
“What’s going on, you look kind of sick.”
(Y/n) whipped her head up to find Mary standing on the other side of the study table. She quickly stood, hitting her thigh against the edge of the table.
“Hey! Be careful.” Mary scolded, coming around the table, “You didn’t hurt yourself did you?”
“No, I’m okay.”
“Now what is this about? Is someone giving you trouble?” Mary already looked like she was blazing a warpath with the look in her eyes alone, but (Y/n) reached out to take her hand.
“No, no one is giving me any trouble. There is just something I wanted to tell you and I’m nervous.”
“Well, unless you did something stupid, you don’t have to be nervous.”
That was Mary for you. So comforting. (Y/n) took a deep breath in through her nose. She could do this. Only a sentence.
“Mary, I really like you and I was wondering if you would want to go on a date with me some time.”
(Y/n) shyly looked around the library, getting more nervous the longer Mary stayed quiet. When she finally gained the courage to face Mary again, she found that she was pleasantly pink, but her expression also conveyed that she might have believed that (Y/n) was the dumbest person in the world.
“What?!” (Y/n) squeaked self-consciously.
“Have,” Mary cleared her throat, “Have we not been going on dates for weeks now?”
“Have we?”
“You’re being serious?”
“Are you? Have we been dating? Since when?”
“Since when—“ Mary was too exasperated to even be angry. “I took you to meet my parents! You think I’d let any of those other dumbasses into the sanctuary my home provides from this insane school?”
“But— I don’t remember— when did you ask me to be your girlfriend?”
Mary’s mouth formed a tight line and she was quiet for a long moment. Then, she slowly turned on her heel to look out the window.
“…I thought it was just kind of a nonverbal understanding. It went without being said.”
(Y/n) was speechless. She honestly didn’t know what else to say. Yumeko had been right, Mary did like her. She liked her enough to consider them girlfriends. A warmth fluttered in her chest and she couldn’t help but laugh.
Mary’s hand shot out to cover her mouth, her cheeks still painted with red when she turned to face (Y/n) once more.
“Don’t you dare laugh. I don’t see what’s so funny about this.”
(Y/n) pried Mary’s hand from her lips, but kept their hands tethered together, shyly intertwining their fingers.
“You’re right. I’m sorry I didn’t understand your intentions sooner, but now at least we will be on the same page. If you still want me, anyway.”
“Of course I still want you.” Mary huffed. “Even if you are the densest fool I know.”
“Hey, at least I actually confessed my feelings directly instead of making assumptions.” (Y/n) grinned.
Mary pursed her lips and clenched her fists. This actually answered quite a few questions she had about the dynamics of their relationship and one of her most pressing questions about why (Y/n) hadn’t tried to kiss her once in the last several weeks. She saw that teasing grin (Y/n) wore now and wanted nothing more than to make it disappear.
“Well then, now that we are on the same page. Can I kiss you?”
“You want to? Already?” The smirk fell from (Y/n)’s lips and her face grew warmer as Mary stepped closer.
“I have been trying for weeks actually. You were really starting to drive me crazy. So, can I?”
(Y/n)’s voice eluded her as Mary got even closer, her brown eyes consuming (Y/n)’s entire vision. She nodded and was swiftly pulled in.

RWRB Study Guide: Chapter 10
Hi y’all! I’m going through Casey McQuiston’s Red, White & Royal Blue and defining/explaining references! Feel free to follow along, or block the tag #rwrbStudyGuide if you’re not interested!
Earl Grey (267): Earl Grey tea is an incredibly common caffeinated tea. It is the base of a London fog.
Hamilton to Laurens, “you should not have taken advantage of my sensibility to steal into my affections without my consent” (267): This quote is from an April 1779 letter and is immediately followed by “But, as you have done it, and as we are generally indulgent to those we love, I shall not scruple to pardon the fraud you have committed, on one condition; that for my sake, of not your own, you will always continue to merit the partiality, which you have so artfully instilled into me”. Essentially, “you were rude to me, but I love you so much I forgive you as long as you look after yourself”. Just before it, Hamilton’s like “you taught me what it means to love”. (You can find it here)
Pyramus and Thisbe (268): The pair of lovers whose story inspired Romeo and Juliet, they were separated and could only talk through a wall between their houses (I’ve written a very in-depth analysis of this myth, which you can find here).
Dulles International to Heathrow (268): Dulles International is the airport in Washington, DC, and Heathrow is the classy airport in London.
John Cusack (270): An American actor largely known for his roles in the 1980s. This line in particular likely references Say Anything..., a romantic comedy known in part for a scene where Cusack’s character stands outside a girl’s window and plays music from a boombox.
Y’all had to marry your cousins (270): A reference to the royal tradition of only marrying other royals, which led to a whole lot of inbreeding.
Consummation (275): To consummate a marriage is to have sex for the first time, therefore making it “official”.
Wilde’s complete works (276): Oscar Wilde is an Irish author famous for writing satires and also defining gay culture in the late 1800s.
Fit of pique (277): If someone does something in a fit of pique, they do it spontaneously and out of anger at being wronged.
Mr. Darcy brooding at Pemberley (278): In Austen’s Pride and Prejudice (spoilers, though it’s been out for 207 years), after Elizabeth rejects Darcy’s first marriage proposal (which is essentially “your family sucks but you’re hot; marry me”), he goes back to the house his family owns and thinks about it and misses her.
Anmer Hall (278): A house owned by the Crown in Norfolk, England; it is currently home to Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.
Mel and Sue (280): A comedy duo and hosts of The Great British Bake Off. Sue was outed in 2002, but claims that “being a lesbian is only about the 47th most interesting thing about me”.
South Kensington (284): A district of West London known for its high density of museums and cultural landmarks.
Prince Consort Road (284): Prince Consort Road is a street in London named after Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria. A consort is a royal’s spouse or partner (hence Alex laughing at the idea of his being a prince’s consort)
Ferris Bueller/ Sloane (284-285): Ferris Bueller’s Day Off is a popular movie from the 1980s about Ferris, who skips school for a day of wild shenanigans in Chicago. Sloane is his girlfriend who’s roped in for the ride.
Victoria and Albert Museum* (285): The Victoria and Albert Museum, often abbreviated “V&A”, is the world’s largest museum of applied and decorative art and design. (you can explore their collections here)
Renaissance City (285): Room 50a of the V&A is full of Renaissance sculptures. (photo here)
Seated Buddha in black stone (285): The V&A has a bunch of Buddha sculptures, but this one is the only one I saw that’s in black stone.
John the Baptist nude and in bronze (285): Possibly this piece from 1881 by French sculptor Auguste Rodin and is in the V&A’s collection.
Tipu’s Tiger (285): A nearly life-sized semi-automaton that shows a tiger mauling a man in European clothes. The tiger makes growling sounds and the man screams and waves his hand when a handle on the side is turned; it also contains a small pipe organ on the inside and was created to show the power that the Tipu Sultan of India held over invading Brits. The “give it back” that Catherine argues for is officially called repatriation, it would mean that (Western) museums have to give back stolen objects; British museums are famously bad at doing this. (see Tipu’s Tiger here)
Westminster (286): Westminster Abbey, a church in London where royals are crowned and buried. It is covered with intricate carvings and beautiful stained glass.
The Great Bed of Ware (286): A bed made by Hans Vredeman de Vries from the 1590s; it is ten feet wide and made of oak. (see it here)
Twelfth Night (286): A Shakespeare comedy full of chaos that includes a woman cross-dressing, then her twin brother being mistaken for her.
Epocoene (286): A 1609 play that includes a boy dressing as a woman to dupe a man into giving his son an acceptable inheritance.
Don Juan (286): A Spanish figure known for his powers for wooing women; the first text published about him was in the 1630s.
Florence (287): Florence is a city known for its art; it was the cultural center of the Italian renaissance.
Gothic choir screen in the V&A’s Renaissance City (287): This Roodloft, or choir screen, carved by Coenraed van Norenberch is in the back of the Renaissance City in the V&A. It’s a stunning piece; the link above has great pictures and a more in-depth description than I could give.
Zephyr statue by Francavilla (287): You can see this statue here; it was one of thirteen statues commissioned for the garden of a villa near Florence. According to Greek mythology, Zephyr (the west wind) was married to Chloris, goddess of flowers.
Narcissus (by Cioli) (287): This statue may have once been the centerpiece to a fountain with Narcissus looking into an actual pool; it depicts him in the moment he sees and is mesmerised by his reflection.
Pluto stealing Proserpina (287): Likely the statue “The Rape of Proserpina” by Vincenzo de' Rossi. I couldn’t find it on the V&A’s site, but there’s more info here.
Jason with the Golden Fleece (287): This is a sculpture of a very naked Jason, the Greek hero who stole the golden fleece. He was helped by its owner’s daughter, who was in love with him, but whom he later abandoned. You can see the statue here.
Samson Slaying a Philistine (287): You can see this statue here. Henry does a pretty good job of explaining the incredible history behind it; all I have to add from my (limited) research is that it is remarkable in part for the fact that there is no one point on it that draws the eye-- it demands to be looked at completely or not at all.
Victoria and sodomy laws (288): Queen Victoria famously instituted a whole lot of anti-sodomy laws.
Viau on James/George (288): A 1623 poem by Théophile de Viau:
“Apollo with his songs
Debauched young Hyacinthus
Just as Corydon fucked Amyntas,
So Caesar did not spurn boys.
One man fucks Monsieur le Grand de Bellegarde [a friend of Viau],
Another fucks the Comte de Tonnerre.
And it is well known that the King of England
Fucks the Duke of Buckingham.”
“Christ had John, and I have George” (288): This is an actual thing that James I/VI said to the heads of the church. Here’s the full quote, from wikipedia (emphasis is my own): “I, James, am neither a god nor an angel, but a man like any other. Therefore I act like a man and confess to loving those dear to me more than other men. You may be sure that I love the Earl of Buckingham more than anyone else, and more than you who are here, assembled. I wish to speak in my own behalf and not to have it thought to be a defect, for Jesus Christ did the same, and therefore I cannot be blamed. Christ had John, and I have George.”
George iii (289): George III was the king against whom the American colonies revolted. He was deeply religious and instituted laws declaring that royals could not marry without the approval of the court.
Convent church of Santa Chiara in Florence (290): This church is no longer a church, but the altar chapel is in an alcove in the V&A. It is the only Italian Renaissance chapel outside of Italy. (you can see photos of it here and here)
Santa Chiara and Saint Francis of Assisi (290): Saint Francis of Assisi founded a few different monastic orders and is one of the most celebrated saints; Saint Clare of Assisi founded a women’s monastic order and wrote the first set of monastic guidelines by a woman.
Blessed Mother (290): Mary, the mother of Jesus, one of the holiest figures in Catholicism.
“Come, hijo mío, de la miel, porque es Buena, and the honeycomb sweet to thy taste”** (290): “My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste. So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off” -- Proverbs 24:13-14, King James Version (yes, that King James. He translated the Bible to make the church stop hating him).
David and Jonathan (290): An aggressively gay couple from the Bible who have been presented as friends for centuries. Jonathan was a prince and David a shepherd, but God promised that David would be king one day. Rather than argue this or hate David for it, Jonathan welcomed David into his household and loved him despite the prophecy that he would one day usurp him. Following Jonathan’s death, David took in Jonathan’s son and looked after him.
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, amen (291): Many Christian prayers end with “in the name of the Father, the son, and of the Holy Spirit, amen”. It’s a way of celebrating the god who gives you all of the good things in your life while also giving up control to them.
------
A fill in from chapter 1, as requested by someone on AO3:
Deputy Chief of Staff (Zahra’s position, 23): The Deputy Chief of Staff is the top aide to the president’s top aide, and is responsible for ensuring that everything runs smoothly within the bureaucracy of the White House.
------
*This museum puts out books called “maker’s guides” that teach you how to make pieces based on things in their collections; they’re super duper cool.
**I’m not a theologian, but I am a pastor’s kid, and just... this gets me. This whole bit, but this Proverb especially. Like obviously there’s the “oh we’re kissing and I’m thinking about honey tasting sweet”, but verse 14 coming in with the “when you’ve found what’s right, you will be rewarded with the confidence of that rightness and you will have hope”? Just kill me outright next time. Don’t make me google my own murder weapon.
------
If there’s anything I missed or that you’d like more on, please let me know! And if you’d like to/are able, please consider buying me a ko-fi? I know not everyone can, and that’s fine, but these things take a lot of time/work and I’d really appreciate it!

Recent OC Summaries!
These are all for an urban fantasy or science fantasy setting, not sure yet. Several of them are or could be interconnected. A couple race descriptions may be thrown in. I also may have been inspired by Good Omens to do some angel/demon stuff?? Also i’m gonna add some gender/sexuality stuff not because it’s important but because it’s fun! Anyway here we go:
Race: Astomi
The astomi, originally from Greek/Roman mythology, are mouthless people who live off of sweet-smelling fruit and flowers. Bad smells weaken and can potentially kill these beings, and the pollution of a modern world has made them very few and far between. When one of the few astomi left attempts to warn the public of the very real danger this brings them, they are silenced.
Iovita | Aromantic, Asexual, Agender
Vita is a 20-year-old astomi. They wear a face mask to hide their lack of a mouth as well as shield their nose from the pollution they’re inevitably bathed in living in a city. They communicate using sign language, and their queerplatonic partner, Ashton, acts as their interpreter when necessary. The two work at a small office and art supply store, but also earn some money on the side doing non-criminal forgery. They won’t fake signatures or anything like that, but Vita uses their talent for forging handwriting to write letters, essays, and papers for anyone who’s willing to pay, and Ashton acts as their interpreter and, on occasion, bodyguard. Vita is very tired most of the time due to their weak condition, but they’re calm and observant. Sure, they’re willing to break most rules to get what they want, but they’ve got enough morality to not do anything too bad and enough sense to keep said rule-breaking minor enough to not get caught.
Ashton | Pansexual, Nonbinary
Ashton, a 20-year-old human, dropped out of magic college last year. They wanted to go into combat magic, specializing in fire magic (the coolest kind), but as it turns out, they were okay at plant magic and terrible with fire. This was not all bad though, since they could use it to help their best friend and eventual QPP! This isn’t a one-sided thing, though, since Vita’s survival instincts often help Ashton keep out of trouble. Ashton is very rebellious, and can be rather arrogant and rude at times, getting them into fights. While they’re not great at combat magic, they can certainly hold their own with their fists. If you can get past their somewhat annoying exterior, however, you’ll find an excitable person who’s fiercely supportive and protective of their friends. They also have a girlfriend from magic school named Mari.
Mari | Trans Woman, Bisexual (attracted to women and nb people)
Mari is a gifted elven wizard going to magic college for praecantology (the study of magic) and combat magic. She and Ashton had plans to start an adventuring party together since middle school, but when Ashton started having trouble with combat magic, Mari was the first to tell them they didn’t have to go that route. She would have loved to carry out a career with her partner, but if it wasn’t meant to be, it wasn’t meant to be. She still plans to be an adventurer, and they’ll have to figure out how to do a long-distance relationship when that time comes, but the for now she’s content renting an apartment with Ashton and Vita. Mari is an ambitious person, but she’s still got her fair share of caution. She does, however, have a bad habit of trying to fix other people’s problems. She doesn’t think she knows the best for anyone, but she can spend so much time worrying about issues that have nothing to do with her that she has barely enough energy to do things for herself. When she’s not in such a state, she’s quite responsible. She also bakes. Really well.
Races: Angels and Demons
Angels and demons are viewed as very different beings, and they come in many different forms, but they all share one thing in common: they are forged by gods. Angels are forged in the heat of stars by a god of order, while demons are forged in the depths of the earth by a god of chaos. They’re not as simple as good or evil, either. If the world is bathed in the chaos of war and disaster, angels are the ones to attempt to fix it, while strict regimes and stagnant societies are best fixed by the demons.
Devrim | Demiwoman, Aromantic
Devrim is a humanoid demon who thinks the mortals have gotten too boring for their own good. Sure, they’re not all filing taxes with their money from their 9-5 jobs, but there hasn’t been a revolution in like, four whole years. Not a serious one, anyway. And, even worse: not a single person has stepped up to even attempt the trials of godhood in a century. Even the kid who did it last time was an outlier who was seen as insane. To fix this problem and make those who believe they’re ‘in charge’ a bit less cozy, Dev has set aside her centuries of  notable protests, wild parties, and minor crimes to gather a group of mortals to shake the pantheon up a bit! She may seem like the irresponsible “they’ll figure it out for themselves” type, but she’s really the irresponsible “they’ll figure it out for themselves after I shove them in the right direction” type.
Declan | Agender, Aromantic
Declan is a humanoid angel with a poorly-disguised grudge against Devrim. They say everything they do is for the sake of order, and while order may be the lense through which they see everything else, it’s certainly not their only motivator. That other motivator is malice. They may not show it, but they thrive on getting in other people’s way. This is likely because this gets them praise from the higher-ups. Either way, Declan’s got some mysterious beef with Dev, and they’ll stop her with any lawful means possible.
Blaine | Trans Man, Demiromantic
Blaine is an absolute ray of sunshine, or, at least, he tries to be. You see, he’s been half-possessed by a demon rat sent by the chaos god themself for about a year now, and this rat’s intentions are a lot less ‘good’ than Devrim’s. The rat, who Blaine calls Pla, was sent to find a mortal to cause as much chaos as possible, and forcing a person like Blaine to do it was sure to get Pla some extra credit. While he’s not fully possessed all the time, Blaine must do Pla’s bidding, or else they’ll take over his body. The possession is terrifying and painful when it happens, and yields the same result either way, and after a month or two of trying to fight him off, he pretty much gave up and started hoping for someone to stop him. The tasks he is forced to carry out range from spreading panic-inducing rumors to murdering people and sending fake threats. Blaine refuses to let his anguish show, instead showing the world a happy, polite, and positive person when he can. He also tends to believe in other people more than he believes in himself.
Torny | Lesbian
Torny is in a similar situation to Blaine, but she’s certainly not having nearly as bad a time. As a chaotic person who does whatever she wants without any thought to the consequences, an cat-shaped angel whom she calls Peir has taken on the role of her magical therapist while also giving her ‘lessons’ by having her help people. Peir doesn’t control her unless she’s about to do something drastic like hit someone. Torny likes motorcycling, starting fights, and fantasy animal crossing punk rock.

Bad Intentions
Summary: You and Bucky have a date planned but will it ever come through?
Pairing: 30s/40s! Bucky x reader
Warnings: poor grammar, lots of dialogues, tiny angst if you squint, a couple of vulgarities describing a mans member, smut at the end, vaginal fingering, unprotected sex, pull out method (yeah we know it’s not necessarily safe but I don’t think in 1930s people knew that)
Words: 4,750k (I’m a wordy bitch you can’t stop me)
Notes:
It feels so strange to post something after a long hiatus but you can blame @jaamesbbarnes and her Two Punks in Love for inspiring me into this. You should go and check out it and as well her other works, Doriane is brilliant.
Also as you will read and see the fic takes place before WWII maybe it's 1938  so Bucky's 20 and the reader is his peer or she's younger than him.
I don’t know wheather people called or still call their parents mama and papa but I think it’s cute
Happy Single Day, Happy Valentine Day or whatever you are celebrating
If you spot any mistakes please blame my lack of education and Grammarly.
Feedback, comments are always more than welcome. Enjoy!
PS. I think I need a beta reader lol
Tumblr media
Bucky was swaggering in his best suit and his best shoes through the streets of Brooklyn to your house. A calla lilies bouquet in his hand, for you of course. He didn't know much about flowers but the lady at florist's said you'd like them and who he was to argue with a specialist?  He practiced once more the whole plan.
You'll greet him at the door and he will give you the flowers. He'll peck you on the cheek.
You'll invite him in and he will say hello to your parents (he would like to avoid this part especially the one when he has to shake your father's hand, he knew the man hated him)
You'll put the flowers into the vase and he will briefly talk with your folks maybe even with your brother Robbie if he'll catch him home.
You'll say you both had a date in the park and you'll say your goodbyes.
Instead of going to the park, you'll go to Bucky's place as you both planned to do this.
A year ago he wouldn't even think he will be dating his friend's Robbie sister, the one who brought her brother lunch to the factory where Bucky and your brother worked. The one who was smiling shyly at him and who blushed awkwardly when he flirted with you. You weren't interested in meeting him at all, excusing yourself with knowledge about Bucky's shenanigans with other girls. But after a 6th time, you gave in and said yes to a double date with Steve and your friend. Poor Steve. Such a shame nothing ever happened between Steve and your friend Mary but Bucky didn't want to think about Steve. All he had and wanted to think about was you and him at his place. Alone.
Bucky smiled at his bad intentions, he waited so long to finally have you but you didn't like it for the first time so you waited another couple weeks before you decided to try this again. Comparing you now to you he met a year ago it was like comparing two different persons. Sure, you still were polite and modest but only with Bucky by your side unchaperoned, you became more open and as he noticed, you loved kissing. And that was good because he loved kissing you and he was sure to give you lots and lots of kisses tonight.
His heart skipped a beat when he climbed to the stairs leading to your doors. He knocked and waited with a smile plastered on his face. Soon.
The door opened with a creak and Bucky wanted to greet you but instead of his beautiful girlfriend in the doorway stood your father with a frown on his face. Bucky was quick enough to hide the flowers behind his back.
"Barnes" your father stated and frowned even more "Robert's not home and I don't know when he'll come back"
"Mr. Y/L/N good afternoon!" Bucky greeted with a smile on his face but with 'you bastard' in his mind "I'm here for Y/N, we're supposed to go to the park. I'm sure your daughter told you about it"
Your father only pretended to think "No... I don't think she mentioned you at all" Bucky knew it was a lie, he knew from Robbie that you were twittering about your date for the last few days. "Sorry, pal. I don't think-"
"Papa!" your voice echoed through the corridor and soon you appeared beside your father catching the door which the ol' bastard wanted to close in front of Bucky "Papa, leave him alone" your father scoffed and turned to disappear behind the corner in your flat. Bucky took a moment to eyeball you. Your pretty face was wrapped in waves of your silky hair. The hairdo was called smooth pageboy or something like that. White blouse tuckered into a claret skirt and to Bucky, you couldn't look more beautiful.
"Bucky hi," you whispered and opened the door wider "Come on in". Moving slightly aside to make a room for him
"You look beautiful" Bucky breathed and smiled seeing you blush. He leaned down to kiss you. Forget the stupid, modest peck on the cheek, he wanted to kiss you on your plump lips, he wanted to be able to taste you, he wanted to-
"Who is it?" you mother's voice startled you both, you almost knocked down your late grandfather's mirror. But your mother beamed at Bucky. At least one of your parents liked him. "James! What a lovely surprise" your mother knowingly looked at you and if Bucky wouldn't know from Robbie that you told everyone at home he will be coming, he would know now.
"Hello Mrs. Y/L/N. Uh..." Bucky didn't know what he was doing, so his lifeline was the flowers and he moved his hand from behind his back "These are for you"
"Calla lilies! So beautiful! You are a sweet boy James. You have to stay for dinner" your mother said taking the flowers from Buck's hand
"No, that's-"
"Mama, we have a date and besides-"
"Yeah, and besides I already ate" Bucky tried to reason with your mother but she only raised her hand to shut you both up
"It's Sunday, we can have a meal together. It's almost ready so it won't take long and after that, you can go on your date. I won't take no for an answer" your mother turned to the corner from which she appeared earlier and Bucky turned to you not knowing what to do again. You only sighed and took his hand leading him to a small living room where your father was sitting and reading a paper. Bucky looked around the room. He was here once with Robbie and even then he noticed your family was wealthier than his or Steve's. No wonder with your father being a Great War veteran and still military working and your mother being an only good sewer in the area.
Your father scoffed as he read "Told you the war's coming" he yelled to your mother who was putting the flowers into the vase.
"I don't want to hear anything about the war today. We have a guest Richard, so behave yourself" your mother smiled sweetly at you and Bucky and he acknowledged from whom you inherited your smile. It was the same as your mother's.
"Mama, can I show Bucky the dress we made for Mrs. Wilson?" you asked and Bucky smiled. He knew your intentions. They were as bad as his. The dress was an excuse to sneak with him for kiss heavily.
"Honey I don't think James is interested in looking at some dress and I would use your help in the kitchen"
"But-" you tried to argue with your mother and Bucky squeezed your hand. Soon, sweet girl, we'll have all the time in the world for ourselves. "Alright" you sighed and motioned him to sit down.
"You want anything to drink?" you asked shyly and Bucky shook his head, the faster you'll both leave this house the faster he'll be alone with you.
"No, thank you sweetheart" he smiled at you and you nodded heading to the kitchen to help your mother. Bucky was looking after you, how your hips were swaying with every step you took.
"Sweetheart huh?" your father scoffed and Bucky felt his ears burn. He had been caught red-handed staring at you. He slowly turned to face your father and to his relief, the man wasn't looking anywhere but his newspaper.
"Excuse me?" Bucky asked confused, he really didn't know what he was talking about
"Don't pretend Barnes, you know what I mean. The real question is do you care about my daughter?" your father rolled the paper and put it away. Bucky felt his mouth went dry as the man before him folded his arms on his chest waiting for his answer
"Yeah, yes, of course, I care about her. Y/N is smart, kind and I care about her a lot, she-"
"Cut the bullshit, if you'd care about her how much you state you do, you would already put a ring on her instead of fooling her around" your father got up from his chair and stood in front of Bucky and Barnes felt as small as a child or Steve in the back alley.
"I get that" your father sighed "I get that man has to blow off steam but not with my daughter, she's too trusting"
"So, you'd rather want me to marry her than date her?"
"Trust me, son, the war is coming and it's better to be you and not some random guy she'd decide to marry in the heat of the moment"
The only thought that ran through Bucky's head was what? and maybe what the hell?. But when he thought about it deeper and your father was right. When or if the war will come when he will be ship and maybe having someone who will wait for him in New York wasn't a bad idea, but the thought that you could be with someone else angered him. But still, he thought you're both too young.
But was he really in somebody's else eyes fooling you around? You were in love with him and he also loved you. You were his girl and everybody knew that.
You came into the room and announced the dinner was ready. Bucky followed you and to his relief, Robbie came back so that meant Bucky would be placed beside you where he could hold your hand for a while under the table. Your father was sitting at the head of the table. Pride of place. The dinner was served, a meatloaf with baked potatoes and roasted asparagus. Bucky was confused. Your family always ate this way or only on Sundays or maybe because of him your mother buckled down to cooking. Were they expecting him to ask for a blessing on marrying you? Bucky went pale, he didn't have a whiskey to share with your father. The causerie earlier about you, maybe that's when he wanted Bucky to ask about the blessing?
Suddenly Bucky felt a hand on his knee and he realized you were speaking to him. When he asked you to repeat you only chuckled
"I asked you if you're okay"
"Yeah, yeah I'm fine" he intertwined your fingers with his and smiled at you but his smile didn't reach his eyes, he was too deep in his thoughts.
Your family was polite, Bucky was always included in the conversation, he noticed when Robbie was telling about something that included Bucky he asked for the latter to tell more or about more details because your brother 'forgot'.
When Bucky was feeling like he was about to burst after the diner your mother served chocolate pudding and there was no use in telling that he was full, your mother placed the bowl in front of him and sewed her mouth meaning she didn't want to hear a word of objection. Bucky briefly thought that your mother was fattening him but he quickly pulled this thought aside.
You were squirming beside Bucky, the more you were lingering with sitting in your house the less time you had for only the two of you.
"Mama, it was really delicious but we have to go" you said cautiously, your father looked at you and frowned
"Where?"
"We have a date in the park" your father turned around to look at the windows and you looked as well. It was dark outside. There was no way they were gonna let you leave the house alone, even if Bucky was with you.
"Honey it's late. Maybe next time" your mother said calmly and you felt your eyes water, you were pretty sure they did that on purpose. Bucky seeing in what state you were decided to he would go home. He thanked everyone for a nice afternoon, shook you father's and your brother's hand and moved to the doors.
"I will walk you" seeing your mother's terrified face you clarified "Just to the doors"
As soon as you were by the front doors you quickly buried your face in his chest. Bucky chuckled and wrapped his hands around you enveloping you in a warm embrace and his scent.
"We can wait till night and you can slip into my room" you whispered against his chest so no one but he could hear you. Bucky slowly took a step back and cupped your face in his hands, his thumbs were running up and down on your cheeks.
"Darling I- it's too risky, if you father catches me then I'm dead. We don't have to. It's enough I've spent Sunday with my beautiful girl" he leaned down to kiss you on the forehead but you took a step back for the nth time that day Bucky was confused
"My parents, they scared you off didn't they?" you asked with tears in your eyes, Bucky was quick enough to grab your hands and hold you in place
"Hey, hey they didn't scare me off, nothing can. I love you Y/N you know that right? Nothing in this world can deter me from you" Bucky was searching for any doubts on your face and he found many but for now, his declaration and a kiss would do. He leaned down once again and one of his hands made it's way to your chin to tilt it up. He gently placed his lips on yours and waited until you kissed him back. He didn't have to wait long. You moaned into the kiss and he smiled against your lips. God, you were wonderful a true angel in disguise. You placed your hands on his neck pulling him closer to you, Bucky chuckled at your eagerness
"Sweetheart we have to stop or your brother will see us and he'll be browbeating me," he said against your lips and you pulled back reluctantly. Bucky grabbed the handle and opened the door "I love you doll" he kissed you on the cheek and disappeared behind closed door leaving you alone to deal with your family and with their teases.
You were lying in your bed later at night listening to the sound of the silence. You were slowly drifting away when you heard a soft clatter on your window. It wasn't stopping so you moved to the window but you couldn't see anybody. Brushing it off you walked back to your bed when again you heard that strange sound. You saw the cause of it- somebody was throwing little rocks at your window. You quickly moved to the window and irritated opened it to yell at this stupid prankster.
"Ow!" as soon as the window was opened you got hit right on your forehead by one of those little rocks.
"Oh shit! Y/N don't scream it's me!" Bucky was standing on the ground with a handful of those rocks. He was speaking with a hushed voice for not to alarm anyone.
"Bucky? What the hell?"
"Y/N may I come in?" he threw the rocks behind himself now that he didn't need to catch your attention. You noticed he was looking like he had just run the marathon, his hair unkempt, his tie and jacket missing. He must've left them at home unless he had lost it on his way to your house.
"Go to the front doors, I'll open it"
"Nooooo, not the front doors, your father's gonna catch me and then I'm dead. I'll climb to the window" Was he slurring? Was he drunk? Did he come to you drunk?
"Bucky are you drunk?" the confirmation on your question was giggle and mumbling. Doors, you thought. Your doors don't have a lock. you quickly dragged one of the chairs and barricaded the doors with it. You looked around the room. What a shambles. On the day Bucky decided to walk into your room and it had to look like after the tornado. You grabbed one of your dresses and tossed it into your closet when you noticed several other dresses were hanging on the closet's door. You heard a grunt and turned around to see Bucky crawling up your window. "Bucky what were you thinking? You could've-"
"It's for you, doll" he interrupted you and in his outstretched hand, you saw a single dahlia. "I spent all my money on the bouquet but I gave it to your mother, I don't know why actually and then I was drinking with Steve and he was like 'You jerk! The flowers were for Y/N! How do you think she's feeling right now without her flowers?!' So when he passed out I took it from him and I came here to give you your flowers" Bucky looked at the flower in his hand "I must've broken the stalk on my way here" he mumbled
"Bucky," you moved to him and gently took the flower from his hand "You didn't have to give me flowers, it's not like I will die without them"
"Oh," Bucky was looking like he was thinking. Intensely. "So I broke the stalk for nothing?"
"No, no, no, it's really sweet of you. I like dahlias" you were looking at the flower and your fingers were stroking its orange petals. Bucky grinned at you
"You think I'm sweet?" you smiled at him and nodded
"Yes, especially when you're drunk" you yelped when Bucky suddenly hugged you and nuzzled his face in your neck peppering kisses on the skin
"I love you so much Y/N. Happy anniversary!" his lips moved from your neck to your jaw and then to your cheek and mouth, he then looked at your confused face "What? Exactly a year ago I met you" he hugged you one more time "You looked so cute in that cardigan with dragonflies on it. Oh wow! I think I can even see it among your clothes"
You pulled away from Bucky realizing he was aware of the total state in your room. "Bucky you should go home. I'm- there's such a mess in here, I don't want you to think I'm a slob" you plead him with your eyes and you saw a certain spark in his
"Alright, I'll go but I want a kiss" you sighed
"One kiss?" you asked and he smirked
"Yhm"
"And then you'll go?"
"Yes ma'am"
You put the flower you were still holding away and you moved to stand in front of Bucky tilting your head so you could capture his lips. Bucky placed his hands on your waist and pulled you closer to him. His kiss was gentle at the beginning reminding you the first time he had ever kissed you but then Bucky moaned and his grip on your waist tightened. He started moving you backwards until the back of your knees touched the edge of your bed. The air in your lungs left you when your back hit the mattress. But Bucky was looking smug, actually, he was looking like anything but worried about you.
You wanted to get up but pushed you on the bed once again sliding between your legs. "Bucky we-"
"We should Y/N" he interrupted you "Besides isn't it what we both wanted? What we both planned for tonight?" you hated that he was right and you hated that feeling in your core and you hated the fact that your breath hitched when he got rid of his suspenders
"Alright, Bucky but just be gentle" you were scared it was going to hurt like for the first time when you had to bite the bullet when Bucky was pushing inside you. Your boyfriend only stroked your cheek with his fingers and leaned to you
"Of course" his lips were brushing yours and you wanted to close the distance but every time you chased his lips he moved away "But as much as I like you in this nightgown I need you out of it"
"Yes sir but same to you" Bucky smirked and kissed you briefly before hopping out of your bed and getting rid of his shirt and trousers. He hastily took his undergarment mumbling 'holy shit' when he saw your naked breasts. He knew he would never get tired of that.
Instead of placing himself between your legs he lied down next to you and his hand traveled on your body. "Bucky what are you doing?" you frowned but soon his lips on your neck got you more and more relaxed
"Relax sweet thing, I just want to try something" his hand moved lower to the junction between your legs and you gasped "Relax" he murmured into your ear and you closed your eyes and let him do what he was doing. His fingers were running up and down your slit, a couple of times he circled the bundle of nerves at the top of your vulva. It did feel great but at the same time you were wondering where did he get to know it. "Does it feel good?" he smugly asked
"Yes but-"
"No buts. Just close your eyes and focus on the feeling" he slowly moved his fingers to your entrance and pushed one inside making your breath hitch. He started to move this finger in and out of you and you gripped tightly your bed sheets. Bucky chuckled, he was moving his finger faster than before and you felt the coil in your guts tighten "You want more sweetheart?" you only nodded not being able to arrange words into a coherent sentence. Bucky slid another finger beside the first one stretching you slightly. He was moving slowly letting you adjust. He had a front row ticket to the most incredible show of emotions playing on your face. He was watching as pleasure was swallowing you more and more and the thought that he was the source of your it was something to be proud of.
His neglected cock twitched when you moaned his name
"Bucky, Jesus please"
"What is it, girl? You want more?" he sped his fingers and your back arched. Who would have thought that only his fingers could bring you to the edge? Bucky started kissing and sucking on your neck, not too harsh, he didn't want to leave any hickeys. When he moved to your pulse point and nibbled at it you covered your mouth with your hand and screamed into it. Bucky felt your walls squeezing his fingers and he made a note to himself to make you squeeze his dick once he would be inside you.
Your breath was erratic, your chest moving up and down in rapid motion. Bucky smiled and kissed you on the cheek. He withdrew his fingers and moved to kneel between your legs
"O my God. That was-" you started but then your eyes narrowed at him "Where did you learn that?" Bucky only laughed
"Believe me, baby, you don't want to know it right now"
"Picture that I do"
Bucky knew only truth could save him. He knew it was looking like he had cheated on you where else he could learn something like that? "All right. Robbie told me about it" you frowned
"My brother told you about it? You were talking about this with my brother?" Bucky chuckled
"Told you-you wouldn't want to think about it" he leaned down to you and captured your lips in a kiss which you eagerly give back. Bucky tilted his head to the side deepening the kiss when one of his hands moved between your bodies to guide his member in. You gasped feeling his cock head at your entrance. Barnes moved his hips pushing into you slightly so that the head of his cock was inside you.
"Bucky" you moved your hands to grip his face and make him look at you "I love you" Bucky pushed a couple inches in and you squeezed your walls making him moan.
"Sweetheart am I hurting you?" he asked and placed his slightly dump forehead on your shoulder
"No, no, it's good. Please don't stop" you whimpered and squeezed again when he pushed inside and he chuckled
"You have to stop doing that. At least until I'm seated"
"I'll try" Bucky smirked at your reply. Again pride blossomed inside him that he was the one who was making you feel this way.
Truth to your words you were refraining yourself from squeezing him until he was seated to the hilt inside you. You wrapped your arms around his shoulders to hold onto something, anything. Bucky was waiting for some time letting you adjust before he started rocking his body into yours. You instinctively wrapped your legs around his waist and it made Bucky move faster. His lips were kissing every piece of your skin they could reach. Your own lips, your jaw, cheeks, and neck were covered with his kisses as he was praising you, telling you how good you felt and how right. Your back arched as the tip of his cock brushed against one spot in your body about which existence you didn't even know.
Bucky knew he wouldn't last long and neither did you with the way your walls were squeezing him, so he opted for one more thing Robbie told him about. He licked the pad of his thumb and move it between your bodies. Your body convulsed when he started to circle your bundle of nerves with his thumb. Bucky was moving frantically now focused on his pleasure as well as yours. He wanted to feel your wall tighten against him so he doubled his efforts on your clitoris. Several more strong pushes inside you and you brought him down to muffle your scream in his neck. Bucky was so lost in the sensation of your body clutching on him that he almost forgot about himself. When he felt he was on the edge of bursting he quickly withdrew his member from you and started stroking it in rapid motion. He emptied himself on your stomach and after that, he collapsed on the bed beside you. Neither of you caring about the mess.
When your breaths calmed down you looked at Bucky who was lying face down on your pillow "So," you had to cough to wake up your vocal cords "So, does your day went as you planned it would?" Bucky looked at you with a total bliss written on his face
"Of course it did. You got your flowers and I got laid" you opened your mouth in disbelief. Scolding  you slapped him on the arm
"Bucky! You're a jerk!"
"I am" he chuckled "And you love me"
"Sadly I do" Bucky smiled and moved to hold you in his arms but the semen on your skin was cooling down and it started to prickle your skin "Bucky it's getting cold, just-just give me five minutes to wash it off"
"Just wipe it with my clothes and get back to bed" you reluctantly did what he told you to and laid on your side with your back to Bucky and he wrapped his arm around you and nuzzled his face into your neck. "I have to thank your brother for his advice"
You shoot in your bed "No you won't!"
"Why not?"
"Because he will know he had sex and he will never let me live after that" you couldn't imagine how hard it would be to look into your brother's eyes after that
"All right. I won't tell him but you have to convince me. A kiss will do" Bucky grinned at you mischievously and you gulped
"Why am I feeling like I'm about to make a  pact  with the Devil?"
Bucky shrugged "You never know. Maybe my intentions are not as bad as yours" he was looking at you with innocent eyes and you scoffed
"You are really a jerk"
"I love you too Y/N, now try to sleep. I'm exhausted" he moved pulled you to his chest and you nuzzled your face into his neck breathing in his scent. It was true Bucky sometimes acted like a jerk but he was your jerk and you knew that nothing even your family couldn't stand between you two. No matter if he was poorer or wealthier than you, no matter if the war will come or not, Bucky loved you and you loved him and that was the most important thing.

In a year that has ended so dramatically off-stage, and during which so many people talked dismissively about “political theater” — but they didn’t mean anything actually happening in a work of art —  it’s good to celebrate the memorable moments  that happened nightly on New York stages.
These were moments that were memorable as a visual spectacle or a verbal tickle or an emotional punch, moments that meant something because of off-stage events, or meant nothing but stayed with you nevertheless. Some moments were memorable because they were lovely; some because they were ugly. There were enough memorable moments this year in so many shows (even some one might not otherwise have cared for) that the gallery below is just a sample — as was the one  last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. I’m forced to focus largely on the moments with human actors — leaving out the unforgettable moments involving a live goat, a rabbit, and most of the puppets  (I do mention one.)
Click on any photograph to see it enlarged and to read the extensive caption that explains each moment, which are more or less in the chronological order of the shows’ opening. Some of the moments on stage were so special that the production didn’t provide photographs of them; in such cases, I use a different photograph from that show.
Ruthie Ann Miles as Immigration Judge Craig Zerbe presided over The Courtroom, a re-enactment by Waterwell theater company of actual deportation proceedings, using the transcript. What made this an especially memorable moment was that it marked the Miles first performance in New York after a reckless driver last year killed her four-year-old daughter and caused the loss of her unborn baby.
“4.48 Psychosis,” an opera based on Sarah Kane’s play about her mental illness, featured this exchange, the words projected onto the back wall as the performers sang them: Have you made any plans? With the words projected onto the back wall, the psychiatrist had the following exchange with the patient: Have you made any plans? Take an overdose, slash my wrists then hang myself. All those things together? It couldn’t possibly be misconstrued as a cry for help.
In “Alice By Heart,” the entire colorfully-clad cast turned into a single giant caterpillar
In “The Cake,” Debra Jo Rupp portrayed Della, a good-natured Christian baker in North Carolina who refuses to bake a cake for a lesbian wedding, and then feels guilty about it. Late at night, in bed with her husband Tim, she tries to explore her conscience with him as sounding board. Tim doesn’t want to hear it. He thinks she was right to turn down the lesbians. Tim: It’s – it’s just not natural. Della: Well, neither is confectioner’s sugar!
In “Ain’t No Mo’,” the play by Jordan E. Cooper, making his Off-Broadway debut as both a playwright and an actor, African-American are leaving the United States en masse on flights to Africa. In the final scene, Cooper as pink-garbed stewardess Peaches is left behind. The final stream-of-consciousness monologue, accompanied by the voices of famous black Americans –Bessie and Billie, James Brown, James Baldwin, and Malcolm X — is a metaphor for the black experience in America, as Peaches can’t uproot the bag of black history, and is left defeated, stripped down to a bare black man, shouting “Give it back, give it back.”
“Ashes,” a haunting work of theatre that told the real-life story of an arsonist, was peopled with dozens of characters — all but the narrator are puppets. In one of many astounding moments of magic, the narrator’s father (a puppet) who is dying smokes a cigarette, and exhales the smoke, which then curls up into the air and magically forms the text: “The last thing I did to my father was lie to him.”
Ali Stroker as the fun-loving, oversexed Ado Annie in “Oklahoma!”, teases and kisses, flirts with and sings to the dim Will Parker (James Davis), — and most memorably swings with him gleefully on her wheelchair.
Andre De Shields commands the stage in Hadestown from the get-go. The show begins in complete silence as the rest of the cast watches Hermes, in his elegant, grey silk suit, slide across the stage, pause, and open a button to show a loud and splendid vest, before trombone player Briane Drye lets out a blast from jazz heaven and De Shields launches into the get-down “Road to Hell.” It’s the quietest, and most mesmerizing, opening of any show on Broadway.
“Dragon Spring Phoenix Rise” a kung-fu musical that was the inaugural show in the mammoth McCourt Theater during the inaugural season of The Shed, the arts center that’s part of the gleaming and sterile new Hudson Yards neighborhood. The musical took advantage of the space, when the performers soared up 80 feet in the air for aerial acrobatics and then back down again.
“Moulin Rouge” was thrilling from the moment you entered the theater… until about ten minutes after it began. That’s because the brightest star in this stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 movie musical is designer Derek McLane’s set. Before we even take our seats, it envelopes us in love, or at least in lots of red – a huge red neon “Moulin Rouge” sign above red lights in the shape of a half a dozen hearts nestled lovingly within each other, a full-sized, red windmill full of lights perched on the box seats above us to our left, a life-sized elephant (which, for variety, is purple) in the box seats to our right…
In an arresting moment in “Deluge,” a tall white dancer dressed in black tossed up a short black dancer dressed in red, accompanied by a score that included recordings of some of the most fulsome public comments by Donald Trump and other politicians (“These are animals…Pocahontas…legitimate rape…”) The dance company whose members wrote, choreographed and performed this remarkable piece is called Loco-Motion Dance Theater for Children, and they were performing as part of the 16th annual Rebel Verses Youth Arts Festival, an exciting and inspiring show presenting artists ages 13 to 19 from some dozen youth theater companies. The festival was almost as impressive for what was not on stage as for what was: There were no teenage cliques, no obsession with popularity. It was not the standard depiction of teenagers in even well-meaning shows on Broadway
“Sincerity Forever,” one of the five plays in Perfect Catatrophes, a festival of Mac Wellman plays, takes place in a fictional Southern town named Hillsbottom. Jesus H. Christ, a black woman, comes visiting and the town’s teenagers, dressed casually in Klu Klux Klan’s outfits, are oblivious. In the first of several memorable moments, two of the teens admit that they are ignorant – “I don’t know why the sky is blue, and I don’t know what ‘blue’ is, and I don’t know why I don’t know,” — but conclude that their ignorance must nonetheless somehow be God’s plan. “the most important thing is not what you know, but whether you’re sincere or not.”
At the end of “Novenas for a Lost Hospital,” which sweeps through the 161-year history of St. Vincent’s Hospital in Greenwich Village, focusing on the cholera and AIDS epidemics, Kathleen Chalfant as Mother Seton leads the audience down the narrow staircase to the street, and then the block and a half over to the so-called St. Vincent’s Triangle, a new park across the street from where the hospital once stood. It’s the site of the New York City AIDS Memorial. The audience stood in a circle for the epilogue, beneath the white steel triangle canopy of the memorial.
In “The Great Society,” which chronicles the final four years of LBJ’s presidency, we get out of the White House in just a handful of scenes. In the most memorable, Jimmy Lee Jackson, a 26-year-old Alabaman tries to register to vote, and is killed doing so, which leads to the confrontations between Civil Rights marchers and Alabama troops on the Edmund Pettus Bridge.
There is one spectacularly funny moment in “Scotland, PA” musical comedy version of “Macbeth,” which is based on Billy Morrissette’s 2001 movie, and is set in a fast-food restaurant in the “podunk town” of Scotland, Pennsylvania in 1975. After married couple Mac and Pat Kill Duncan, they take over his restaurant. All the fast-food workers are dressed in construction jumpsuits and the establishment is covered with canvas. Suddenly, all the workers strip off their outfit, and simultaneously all the canvas falls off, and we see red and gold costumes, red and gold décor, a huge yellow M sign, and the new name of the restaurant: McBeth’s. This is one of the two shows this year in New York that featured a funny scene involving McDonald’s. The other was Soft Power — which opened the same week!
At the end of Tina, The Tina Turner Musical, Adrienne Warner — dressed in trademark tight red leather mini-dress, highest of heels and tallest of wigs, ascending a staircase of flashing lights backed by a raucous band each in his own Hollywood Square — delivers Tina Turner’s greatest hits – Nutbush City Limits, Proud Mary ( “Rollin’, rollin’ rollin’ on the river…”) – and we all rise as one, ecstatic, and swoon.. I’m not sure what it says – but it says something – that this greatest moment in the musical’s nearly three hours occurs after the curtain call.
This sexy scene in The Inheritance is not actually the most memorable in the play. That comes at the end of the first part of this two-part play, when the young gay men who died during the peak of the AIDS epidemic walk from the back of the theater one by one to the stage to shake hands with the living.
In “You Oughta Know,” the exhilarating show-stopping number from Jagged Little Pill, Jo confronts her girlfriend Jackie, whom she had discovered in bed with a new boy in their high school named Phoenix: “Every time you speak his name, does he know how you told me you’d be there until you died. Til you died, but you’re still alive….you, you, you oughta know. You, you, you, you…” As Jo, Lauren Patten’s delivery of the song is so forceful and electric that it prompted a standing ovation.
Memorable Moments on Stage in 2019 In a year that has ended so dramatically off-stage, and during which so many people talked dismissively about "political theater" -- but they didn't mean anything actually happening in a work of art --  it's good to celebrate the memorable moments  that happened nightly on New York stages.

Back to the Frollo, Chapter 17
Warning: a teenager is treated like scum for picking up his siblings at a reasonable time.
Chapter Seventeen
"Jehan", I began, as I petted Snowball's nose, "what happened?" Jehan Frollo, obviously upset and concerned about the soldier's condition, replied, "I was in Paris Saturday; I had planned to visit my brother. When I learned he wasn't in town..." I said to Jehan, "Claude was with me, in my home." Jehan smiled; it was not as dazzling as Claude's, but warm and friendly. "I had a feeling he was with one of his ladies."
He has multiple ladies? Isn’t Jehan the deadbeat and Claude the hyper-religious one?
He continued to tell me how he had found the soldier, who was severely injured, perhaps dying. "I was on my way to the Chateau d'Arcy...you do remember...we had a wonderful Sunday afternoon...", His voice trailed off; he paused to collect his thoughts, then continued. "Apparently, the horse kicked him several times. He fell backwards down the embankment; it's very rocky down there. His head was...I'm glad my brother made you stay outside...all bruised and bloody." Jehan sat down on the ground; the recollection of the gravely injured man had clearly disturbed him. "There's also some internal damage ...at least I think so...I could hear blood...gurgling..."
Is that how head injures sound? And why is Frollo in there? What medical knowledge does he have? How could he ever hope to help this guy, and why would he?
Jehan's voice began to quaver as he continued. Even I began to feel a little queasy at Jehan's descriptions of the man's injuries. "I went for help at once. The caretaker's cottage was just a few miles away. We brought him back here", he nodded towards the small cottage. I then asked, "Jehan, where's the caretaker? Claude and I didn't see anyone, except the servant and two guards." Jehan replied, "The servant told me that the caretaker left for Paris several days ago, to search for his wife." I looked puzzled, then Jehan continued, "I knew to contact my brother because the man kept saying, 'I want to apologize to Minister Frollo...and to my cousin.'" Now, I was truly puzzled. I know what the man did to Claude...but....who's the cousin? It wouldn't dawn on me until....
Please don’t be Phoebus, please don’t be Phoebus…
Jehan sighed as he got to his feet. "Well....I guess I should go inside. Claude will thank me; at least, this time, his little brother did something right for a change." After Jehan went inside the cottage, I walked up to Snowball. I've always loved this massive, beautiful animal. I told the boy to run along; I'll watch the horse. I petted Snowball's nose and stroked his silky mane. Good old Snowball...I'm glad you're OK....you're a nice horse...want to go for a walk?... To keep myself occupied while Claude and company were dealing with that soldier, I recalled that day of the farewell party. It was an affair that everyone, especially Claude Frollo, would never forget.
Oh shut up. No one cares about your stupid party and your stupid relationship. ****** "My darling Nisha, you and your friends have truly outdone yourselves", said Claude Frollo as he surveyed the table laden with a variety of delicious food. We really knocked ourselves out to make this party a truly memorable experience. Fern and Kyle cooked mounds of barbequed ribs, chicken, and turkey (Kyle's idea -- to introduce medieval Parisians to native American foods). Jacki and I worked overtime, preparing salads and scrumptious desserts. I proudly pointed to the pecan cake. saying to Claude, "I baked this especially for you." Claude was truly pleased. "You remembered how much I like your American pecans," he said lovingly.
… and then everyone got sick from all this extensive, chemical-loaded, genetically modified American food, right? Right?
It was a glorious Saturday afternoon; the early August weather was extremely pleasant, nothing like the hot, sticky days back home. We had set up tables and chairs in the street; our block was wide enough to accommodate all our guests. Just as Claude had promised, he had his men block off the area to traffic; that way, we wouldn't be bothered with the entire populace of Paris swarming all over. There wouldn't be enough food anyway! Jehan, as usual, helped himself to everything, and asked, "What is this? What do you call that?" Upon tasting my potato salad and sugar cream pie, he favorably commented, "Mmm...delicious...you must make more of this before you leave."
We don’t need more unnecessary descriptions of random things. Food, clothes… it never ends.
Claude just smiled at his brother, then he leaned over and said to me, "Typical behavior...pay him no mind." Claude complimented Fern on the barbeque. I think it was then he developed a particular fondness for my sweet, spicy sauce. He then chuckled good-humoredly as he reached under the table and grasped my hand. I made sure I didn't mention our eventual parting; I wanted this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Everyone knows and no one cares.
Aunt Perle kept everyone entralled with stories of her childhood and her long career as a teacher. Claude said to Perle, "I hope you aren't too homesick, being without all your 20th Century conveniences." Perle just laughed and said, "Your Honor, I grew up in a two-room cabin. No running water, no electricity, no indoor plumbing. Staying at Marie-Louise's is almost like that - But a lot grander and more comfortable!" We all broke up in laughter; then, Jehan asked, "Why didn't you marry?" Aunt Perle explained that, back where she first taught, "schoolteachers weren't allowed to marry. or at least marriage was discouraged. Oh, I could have married, but I decided to devote my life to the children." Claude praised Perle's devotion to her chosen profession.
‘Cause Frollo’s just so kind and caring and feminist.
“Expunge this heathen gypsy whore- before we’re overrun, we must attack!” -Frollo in the song Esmeralda
Just before he could ask Aunt Perle more about her life, Fern excused herself from the table. She then turned to me and said, "You think you, Jacki and Shelli (Kyle's girlfriend, whom he invited to medieval Paris - this would be her SECOND trip!)
STOP INTRODUCING THESE RANDOM IDIOTS NO ONE CARES ABOUT.
can hold down the fort until I get back?" I looked at Fern with questioning eyes. Why does she have to leave? What's she up to?
[long passage about Danisha singing random accapela cut because I have no words other than “this sucks”]
Oooh Claude....I can feel you getting all steamed up...now, sugar, please keep yourself in check...this is definitely NOT the place nor the time!
It is never the time! No one wants to read this!
The crowd erupted in thunderous applause as soon as we finished. "We've never heard anything like this before! Sing more!", came the cries from the audience. But I could see Fern coming with a group of people, so we left the stage, but not before I introduced Fern.
And then everyone clapped and gave me %100$ and the President came and shook my hand…and his name was Albert Einstein! Paging r/thathappened.
Fern, her full-figure clad in a long, colorful gingham dress and white pinafore, looked more like a farmer's wife from Indiana than a stylish Parisianne. She was carrying what I knew was her autoharp. Fern stepped up onstage, faced the crowd, then proudly announced, "Ladies and gentleman, and distinguished guests", she nodded to Claude and Jehan Frollo. "First off, I'd like to thank y'all for coming out on this beautiful day. We truly hate to leave y'all but it's been a joyous summer. Good friends, good memories..." Her voice stopped as she glanced over at Claude and me. I was sitting next to him; we were holding hands. Then Fern, all smiles, announced, "It gives me great pleasure to introduce these good folks. I've known these guys ever since I was a young'un. Matter of fact, some of them taught me to play this thing," she held up the autoharp, "when I was still a-toddlin'." She laughed heartily, then continued, "Here, I'm wasting time, when we should be tappin' our toes, clappin' our hands, and singin' along. Good people of Paris, meet the Front Porch String Band!"
It’s like that part where Esmeralda dances and everyone throws money at her. Except Esmeralda had a beautiful voice and could actually dance and sing. And deserved the money she got because she was a good person in a disadvantaged position.
[yet another long passage about said spring band cut because, you guessed it, it’s stupid]
"Gonna start out with a little tune called, The Wabash Cannonball. OK, folks, let's go...one, two, three.." The whole block was filled with the rustic sounds of the American Heartland. I was somewhat apprehensive when Fern told me she was bringing the band; Parisians may be put off by 'hillbilly' music. I was wrong - our guests loved it! Especially Claude and Jehan, who were tapping their toes to the lively beat of the music.
Because they just love America so much! It’s totally not the author shoehorning in their own interests or anything!
The band continued to play many favorite numbers. Fern got up and danced with Ray to Redbird.
[long, immensely stupid passage in which Kyle dances and everyone loves it so much]
... I heard a sound from under the table. I pulled back the tablecloth and, to my surprise, stared directly into the eyes of Quasimodo. He was munching on cookies and drinking lemonade.
Oh, come on! Just leave the poor guy alone! He doesn’t have to be involved in this! Just let him be!
"Quasi! What are doing here? You're going to get into trouble!" Quasi shushed me and whispered, "I heard about your party, and I wanted to come. Please don't tell my master."
He still calls Frollo his master. Danisha, activist as she is, should be able to notice the parallels between this and slavery. Alas, she’s an idiot.
I thought for a few seconds, then decided not to tell Claude; after all, Quasi's my little buddy. Even though Claude and I were lovers, and told each other nearly everything, I wasn't about to inform him of this. Let Quasi have a little fun...what can it hurt? "Look, Quasi," I told him, "Keep out of sight, and promise me you'll go back to the cathedral. I don't want to risk falling out with Claude Frollo." Quasimodo promised me he would stay out of trouble.
So Frollo still abuses and keeps hidden this 20-something man. This is totally not messed up, at all!
"What took so long?", Kyle asked me as I returned with lemonade and cookies. I replied, "I had to make another batch of lemonade; these guys are really running through it." I'm not a good liar, but I thought everyone, especially Claude, bought it. Our party was winding down; the band played its final numbers as daylight was quickly fading. "Play Rocky Top!", called someone from the crowd. It was Perle Darcey. Everyone laughed as Fern said from her seat on the stage, "Miss Perle, this is especially for you!" And with that, the band launched into one of my favorites.
[long passage in which Danisha and Frollo dance and he cries because of course he does. Then they explain the telephone to Jehan, who is confused, and is treated like an idiot because of it despite that being a completely reasonable reaction on his part]
Why is Frollo such a crybaby all the time? It’s so annoying to read, and the image of him sobbing is gross.
Claude and I continued to embrace and kiss when, just then, we heard a rustling sound in the alley. "What was that? A rat?", I said somewhat alarmedly, for I HATE rats! "Hmmm...", Claude began, "I rather think it's the two-legged variety." At that moment, a young, blond-haired man rushed past us; I recognized him at once. "Claude", I said, "isn't that..." Claude Frollo declared, "Malus de Chateaupers...that damned boy! He must have gotten past the guards."
So we can already tell he’s an antagonist because Malus means bad. Because this author is subtle. Also, de Chateaupers? This guy is going to be Phoebus’s cousin, son or brother, I guarantee it.
Without hestitation, Claude summoned two of his men to arrest Malus for disorderly conduct, but Malus did not come to disrupt the party. Rather, he came to take his younger brother and sister home. These were Renée and Jules, aged ten and fourteen, respectively. They were part of the little group of children who took part in my playtimes; they were my particular favorites. The children protested going home so soon. I took Malus aside and said, "Can't you let them stay a little longer? We hadn't had ice cream yet. I'll see them home...promise." I glanced over at Jacki who was bringing out Aunt Perle's homemade ice cream. Jacki kept it frozen in a chest lined in dry ice. Malus shot me a withering look. I remember Claude telling me about this young man; he was nothing but trouble. He said nothing as he dragged his siblings away from the festivities; their protests were in vain.
How dare he pick up his siblings at a reasonable time from a festival run by strange drunken adults? How DARE he? Boy, Malus has some nerve!
"Claude, aren't you going to arrest him?" Claude Frollo replied, "Oh, don't worry, my dearest. I put a...what is that 20th Century expression...'tail'?...on young Malus de Chateaupers. I believe he was spying on us." I looked at Claude uncomfortably and said, "Spying...snooping?..." I felt a slight twinge of fear.
Yet another unnecessary subplot for drama. Why can’t this story just end?!
Why would Malus spy on us?...All he wanted to do was come get his siblings... Claude embraced me, warning me to, "stay away from that young man, my love." Then he sighed and said, "It's a pity he's not like his more illustrious cousin, Phoebus de Chateaupers."
CALLED IT. KNEW IT. BAM. TOLD YOU.
Phoebus.... I heard about him from some of our neighbors. Finally, I pushed all negative thoughts from my mind then said to Claude, "I thought we were supposed to have a good time. Besides, you don't want to miss out on ice cream." Claude grinned. "You're right...I can deal with juvenile delinquents another day." Then his eyes widened in anticipation. "Ice cream?", he began with a broad smile. "My mouth is literally watering in expectation."
He’s a delinquent and a spy… because he picked up his siblings. Talk about a Designated Villain.
That said, we enjoyed the waning hours of an unforgettable day.
You mean another dull, uninspired, boring day filled with wish fulfillment and useless OCs?
****** I walked Snowball around the grounds surrounding the little cottage. I think we were both bored from waiting so long. What is going on in there? Is he..... Just then, Jehan came out and pulled me by the hand. "What's the matter, Jehan?", I demanded. Jehan, looking somewhat alarmed and worried at the same time, said, "Danisha! You need to come in here. The man wants to say something to you."
Wait, so what timeline are we in now? This is just annoying, skipping between time periods endlessly with no indication of where or when we are.
I don't know this man...what could he possibly say to me?...and why? "Hurry!", insisted Jehan, "I don't think there's much time left." I followed Jehan into the caretaker's cottage, but turned my eyes towards the road, in time to spot a tall figure in the distance, riding a white horse.
If this is Phoebus and Achilles, I’m going to kill someone.

Alanna Ubach's character Liz Allan in "The Spectacular Spider-Man".
Have you ever wanted to be a superhero, or possibly thought of your boyfriend or girlfriend as a hero? Well, Alanna Ubach got the chance to be Spider-Man's girlfriend for several episodes in the animated television show "The Spectacular Spider-Man". She plays a Latino version of the character Liz Allan, a cheerleader, which at first dislikes Peter Parker, and later begins dating him. Sadly at the end of the show he breaks up with her, without her ever knowing that he was Spider-Man. In one episode she plays the character "Trina", and at another time as Liz she reads dialogue from the play Shakespeare plays "Measure for Measure", and "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
Tumblr media
This is a series of screenshots from the television show "The Spectacular Spider-Man". It features a screenshot from each of the 19 episodes in which Alanna Ubach plays the character Liz Allan, along with the two images used for her opening sequence {as an intro and closing image for the episodes}, and a screen shot of each of the 3 bonus features that appear on various DVD releases of the show. The DVD versions of the show, came with various special bonus features, including the "Music Video", to the show's theme song, and two documentaries, "Spider-Man Re-Animated", about the creation of the new show, and hiring of the actors, sadly Alanna Ubach is not seen in this documentary, while most of the other actors are seen performing their voices. And the second documentary "Stylizing Spidey", a look at the changes that they made to the Spider-Man character, and his supporting cast, they mention that several characters ethnicity was changed for the show, here Alanna's character name is misspelled as "Liz Allen", she is given a quite Latino voice, and the character "Mark Raxton", for this television series, is changed to be her brother "Mark Allan", whom later becomes the villain Molten Man. Each episode is approximately 22 minutes in length.

Peter Parker's parents died in a plane accident, and he went to live with his Aunt May and Uncle Ben, Ben died shortly after Peter was bitten by a radioactive spider, when he was visiting a laboratory as part of a school visit. Episode 1 begins about 3 months after he has become Spider-Man. He is 16 years old, as the story begins.
#01 {No image, Alanna not credited, in cast list for this episode.} Alanna's character first appears in the first episode of the show, but sadly does not have any lines of dialogue, she is a cheerleader, and the girlfriend of Flash Thompson, the school's lead football {rugby} player. Liz is seen in two scenes the first when Peter Parker {Spider-Man} is being bullied by her boyfriend, and the second when she gets up to leave at the end of a science class. The main villain in this episode is Vulture.
#02 Liz gets a D- grade on her biology test and is told by the teacher that she needs a tutor. Her answer to the teacher is, "Study, with Pete? Ugh, I don't think so. Huha, couldn't Flash teach tutor me instead?" She then shrugs off Peter Parker {Spider-Man} without talking to him directly, because he is a nerd, and she is a cheerleader. She later goes to a restaurant to study with Peter, but she ignores him, and calls her boyfriend instead. At the restaurant the villain Electro, tries to buy coffee, and his powers destroy various equipment in the restaurant. Peter walks out on her saying "when your ready to learn, let me know," he then chases after the villain. Alanna later would play the part of the cashier in the restaurant named "Trina", but for this episode it was played by Kath Soucie. The next day Peter apologizes, to Liz, and offers to meet her at the laboratory he works at. She then comes to the lab, and then it get attacked. She becomes more interested in him, as Peter shows her around the lab, then she clings to him when Electro attacks. As Peter helps the girls get away, he disappears, and changes into Spider-Man, Liz worries about Peter disappearing. She then sees him at school the next day, and asks what he was doing. Her friends then show up, and she returns to her nerd hating attitude, suggesting that Peter "was leaving I hope." She then can be seen feeling sorry for what she had said to him. The main villain in this episode is Electro
#03-04 For episodes 3-4, Alanna's character did not have a speaking role. During these episodes he gets closer to his female nerd friend Gwen Stacy, whom secretly in infatuated with him. In episode 3, he and Gwen are revealed to be 16 years old. Spider-Man also says that he is 5 feet, and 6 inches tall. Although there are several generic cheerleader characters seen in the background of episode 3, none of them appear to be Liz. Alanna's character can be seen in episode 4, playing volley ball, but has no speaking lines. The main villain in episode 3 is The Lizard. In episode 4 the main villain is Shocker.
#05 Alanna's character can be seen as a cheerleader at a practice football game. She cheers when Peter wins, but their is no sound from her, instead their is instrumental music playing over these scenes. The next day Liz tells Peter "Hey Pete, nice moves yesterday", and then she tells him the names of the other people that are also top players picks for the positions on this years football team. She next wishes him luck, for the practice for that day. There is more footage of her cheering him on, but again their is music so the voices are not heard. Alanna's character is seen again at a restaurant, but again has no dialogue. There is a third scene of Alanna cheering, but no dialogue, and after that she is heard saying "Hum, I guess yesterday was just beginners luck." When Peter begins loosing the game on purpose. The main villain is Sandman.
#06-07 Alanna dose not have any speaking roles in these episodes. In episode 6 she is seen in the school cafeteria. In this episode Peter Parker meets Mary Jane Watson, {whom in the comics eventually becomes his wife}. The main villain in episode 6 is Rhino, there is also a appearance of Tombstone. In episode 7, Alanna's character is seen at a school dance, but she does not have any dialogue, she nods her head in agreement in two scenes, and she can even be seen dancing. In episode 7, the main villain is Green Goblin.
#08 Alanna's character Liz is seen, and heard, performing a cheer song, with her cheerleader friends, at a football game. After the game she asks Peter if he is going to the Coney Island celebration that is going to be held tomorrow. The next day at a fair Liz and Peter enjoy some time together. Flash, her usual boyfriend is there with Mary Jane Watson. At the end of the episode Liz breaks up with Flash. Also in this episode Liz is captured, and eventually freed from, this episodes main villain, Dr. Octopus.
#09 Liz is first seen watching television news broadcast in a classroom. Next she is seen at a school Halloween bake sale booth, at a fair. Her character is dressed as a pirate. She even does a pirate voice saying "Arr matey, enjoy the cookie." Peter Parker is also seen dressed as Spider-Man in public, as a Halloween costume. This episode's main villain is the Green Goblin, and it is revealed that Harry Osborne, Peter Parkers best friend, is probably the Green Goblin, when he drinks a performance enhancing drug. Liz Allan {Alanna's character}, in the comics eventually falls in love with, and marries Harry.
#10 Alanna's character does not make a appearance. The main villain for this episode is Chameleon, dressed as Spider-Man. Black Cat, also makes a appearance, although she also is seen in the previous, episode 9, walking through the fair. The Spider-Man also encounters the black ooze that eventually becomes his new suit, and later the villain Venom.
#11 Alanna's character does not appear in this episode. Peter's Aunt May Parker, has a heart attack, and is put in the hospital. The villain group the "Sinister Six", made up of Dr. Octopus, Electro, Vulture, Sandman, Rhino, and Shocker.
#12 Alanna's character appears at school saying "Oh Petey, I was so worried about you." #24 This episode begins at the middle of the story, it shows Mark Allan as Molten Man battling Spider-Man. In the bar also are Mary Jane Watson, and Liz Allan. As Liz watches her brother fight Spider-Man there is a flashback to earlier that day. She is rehearsing the part of Helena in the play "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by William Shakespeare, saying the lines "Oh, is it all forgot? All schooldays' friendship, childhood innocence?" Then the lines, "And will you rent our ancient love asunder?" The acting teacher then criticizes their poor acting. It then returns to the burning bar for a few scenes, then Peter thinks about how he got involved in these event, and their is another flashback. Peter brings Liz a flower after school, and she forgives him. She says "I want things right {to work out between them} too Petey." She then tells him that she thinks her brother is gambling again. When Spider-Man is seen being squeezed to death by Mark {Molten Man}, Liz in a flashback remembers how she, and Mary Jane were walking past the bar, when they heard Mark's voice. And they went inside to find Spider-Man and her brother fighting. Back at present time the girls help save Spider-Man, and Liz says "Quit gambling your life away". But Mark doesn't listen. Spider-Man then holds him over a fire hydrant to put out the Molten lava that covers Mark's skin. Peter then arrives, and at first Liz is angry with him, because she think he is there to take photographs of her brother being arrested, but he really came to be with her, she then hugs him and cries. There is then a play sequence where she performs the Helena scene again, but with more feeling and emotion. Molten Man, and the Green Goblin are the main villains.
#25 Alanna's character is seen back stage on the opening day of the play. She calls Peter to remind him when the play is being preformed, and that she saved him a seat. She was trying to rescue her dad, but Spider-Man won't help him escape, and her dad decides to stay and prevent the other prisoners from escaping. At the play Alanna as Helena says the lines "Call you me ?fair?? That ?fair? again unsay. Demetrius loves your fair". Then, "O teach me with which art you sway the motion of Demetrius' heart." Harry Osborne mysteriously is absent from the play, he was to play the part of Puck, the goblin. The curtain ends with Peter not at the play. The villains Mysterio, Shocker, Ricochet, and Ox, Rhino, Molten Man, Silvermane, and the Green Goblin, are seen mostly without their powers.
#26 At night Harry comes to Gwen's window and asks for help, he explains he was kidnapped by the Green Goblin. Peter calls Liz and says he is sorry he missed the play. Liz says "I know Peter, the Bugle {the newspaper he works for} comes first. But I can't help wondering if it had been Gwen in the play..." She then forgives him, and agrees to see him tomorrow. Gwen then calls Peter, and Peter rushes over to her house, and Harry tells Peter about being kidnapped. He then revels that he destroyed the last of the dug that changed him into the Green Goblin. The next day Peter tries to break up with Liz, she says "Are you breaking up with me?" Peter: "I'm Sorry" Liz: You dump me, I don't think so. That's it Petey we're through!" She then walks away angrily to pretend for her popular friends, but once she passes then she sits down and cries. Later Spider-Man helps track down the worker, but he is not Green Goblin, after a battle it is revealed that Norman Osborne, Harry's dad is the Goblin. And Norman had the villain the Chameleon pretend to be him, when both people were at the same place. Spider-Man beats Goblin, but it appears as if Norman is killed, but it is revealed that Norman is alive at the end of the episode, however his son Harry does not know. Harry grows angry with Spider-Man over the death of his dad, and Gwen feels sorry for Harry, and she does not break up with him. This is how the series ends, with Chameleon and the Green Goblin being the last two villains, on the show. There are rumors that the show was planned for a third season, but the rights to the television show were purchased by another company, and the show was no longer allowed to be produced by the same company.
The series did make its way onto DVD and Blu-ray, in several editions, here is a list of the different versions that were released in the USA and what they featured.
The first DVD version was a compilation, re-edited version of the first 3 episodes, titled "The Spectacular Spider-Man: Attack of the Lizard" on September 9, 2008, it was advertised as a "Full-Length Animated Adventure". The same three episodes were later combined into a single dick, in a un-edited version of the television episodes, and released as "The Spectacular Spider-Man: Volume One" and released on May 5, 2009. All together 8 volumes were released, with a "Season 1", and "Complete Series" box sets being released.
"The Spectacular Spider-Man: Attack of the Lizard", the 'Full-Length Animated Adventure' featured a preview of two DVD's from the "The Spectacular Spider-Man" television series. For itself and another "The Spectacular Spider-Man: Rise of the Supervillians". This second DVD does not seem to have been released, instead about 8 months later this video was returned to the original versions seen in the television broadcasts, and rereleased as "Volume One", both share the same front cover illustration on the DVD's packaging, and art on the DVD itself, with the only words being changed, being the titles.. Some other changes made to the Attack version has "Attack of the Lizard" on the menu, "Subtitles", and "Scene Selection". While the "Volume One" version has "Audio" section, that has English, and French, but no Subtitles. There is also a "Episodes" selection screen. This version has the opening credits of the television show removed, instead after the first episode's teaser, there is a movie style logo that slowly zooms out, and then various screenshots, that float backwards and disappear into the distance. The title after the For this scene there is symphonic music, rather then the shows theme song. Instead of the opening title of the original episode which read, "Survival of the "The Spectacular Spider-Man", logo, shows the title as "Biology 101: Attack of the Lizard". The original subtitle for the episode "Fittest", for the film was replaced with a new Caption that simply says "September..." The fade out and fade in and fade out, of scenes during the commercial breaks was deleted, so it jumps from scene to scene usually without any footage being removed.
Footage removed is a scene where the Enforcers are chasing Spider-Man for the first time, they have a targeting computer trying to 'lock on' him while he is seen swinging through the streets. This footage is seen later anyway, so it is more of a preview. At the end of Episode 1 it shows Peter's house at night, and then zooms out to show the city block that he lives on, then the Spider Face logo appears in the night sky. In the film version, it shows the house at night, then it changes into morning, without zooming outward.
Added is a still image of the city of New York as the s. Then the scene changes to the teaser scene from episode 2. Symphonic music bridges the gaps between scenes, as the lighting changes, to indicate a entire day has passed, and it is night again. The subtitle for this episode "Interactions", is not seen, and there is no replacement, the scene is still the same length.
More scenes of Peter climbing a building while on the phone, while battling Electro, are seen in the film version. In the TV version, this was shortened. There is also a changing of when lines of dialogue are seen in the episode after the second commercial break. In the film he says "Before I really get upset. I know you can do it doc." All in a close-up view of him with his fist raised. In the TV episode, he starts walking forward in a wide shot, when the lines, "I know you can do it doc," are said.
The transition between episode 2 and three is done by the zoom upward at the end of Episode 2 {without the spider face logo in the distance, and the zoom downward for the opening of episode 3. The third episodes title caption "Natural Selection", is not seen in the film. After Peter gets water balloons thrown at him, in the film his is seen covering his lap, as if he had wet his pants, and all the kids laugh at him with his arm covering his body. This scene was not seen in the TV series, it jumps to a later close-up of him wet.  In the subway, as Spider-Man is tracking down the Lizard, there is more scenes of the police officer shooting at the Lizard. In the TV series version he turns his gun, but doesn't get the chance to shoot.
In the final commercial break, while Spider-Man and the Lizard are under water, the colors fade to nearly back and white, in the film version the colors hardly change, only the lighting changes.
The best part of the film version is that the theme song is played at the end, and the cast have screenshots of their characters, next to their names. There are also storyboard/animated sketches seen in small screenshot views on the side of the screen, as well as concept art, and character design profile images. The opening animated credits are then scene in a 1/9 video, in a small window as the film credits scroll. This is followed by early animation tests, and images of the background paintings.
After the credits there is a bonus scene from episode #04. With Shocker finishing his costume, and delivering the costume to Hammerhead. Shocker: "There you go Hammerhead. Job done." Hammerhead: "Forget the hat, put on the suit. You still owe the Big Man, one friendly neighborhood Spider-Man."

Robert Englund {Adrian Toomes/Vulture, says that he's a "fan, like everyone else. It's just great to be on Spider-Man." He then talks about villians being a "little diminished in film", and that in animation "they can really achieve their greatness, I hope". {Robert is most famous for the character he played of Freddy in the Nightmare in Elm Street films.}
Peter Macnicol {Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus}, explains that "I loved this character since I was a kid. And I agree with Stan Lee {creator of Spider-Man}. I think he's one of the greatest villians of all time."
Steve Blum {Green Goblin/Newscaster}, tells how he's "the realization of a 8 year old's dream, o find the craziest spots in my brain, and express them as much as I want to. The actors then reminisce on the original comics, and how the show tried to keep much of what was begun in the comics. It ends with the ending scenes from episode 03. There are then the documentary's credits.
 ** Stylizing Spidey {8 minutes, and 20 seconds}
The video begins with interviews of Greg Weisman {Supervising Producer}, and Victor Cook {Supervising Director}. They talk about how much they enjoyed the comics, and how they tried to incorporate all the story elements for each character and "contemporize it, and bring him to a whole new audience." They then go on to explain that "Spider-Man was created in the 60's and 98% of the cast was caucasian, and that's not New York in 2008. So we've changed some of the ethnicity of some of the characters, very consciously." {They show a example of Alanna's character shown as "Liz Allen", the character's name being spelled wrong. Greg mentions that "My goal is to not create any original characters, believe it or not. Because the comic itself has such a rich large cast."
