God. The thing abt the uchiha is that. Yes. It was fucked up that no one trusted them and they got pushed further and further from the village center. However. They were also a clan of ninja cops with fucked up magical eyes that they supercharge by getting horrifically traumatized. So like. I also would not fucking trust them.
#like maybe its just that ive been too influenced my senju propaganda but i just think the uchiha as a clan kinda fucking suck#at least by the time we get to sasuke's dad leading things. they seemed fine when madara joined with the village#so its just that the resentment at feeling pushed out has risin by then. and maybe im not remembering things right but like Tobirama#made them the cops right? and they got pissed that they weren't given any political power but like u get so much fucking power as the polic#? and also it just seems like the worst fucking idea to put that all on one clan. like THE WORST job u could give to 1 clan of fucked up#eyeball freaks. and i can never tell if they r legitimately being prejudiced against but like they kida have good reason not to trust them#bc they were legit gonna overthrow the government. so like where did it start? i just kinda feel like they think theyre entitled to power#but r also intentionally standoffish to outsiders. but again maybe im just biased bc i dont like Sasukes dad and the nameless uchiha so muc#ugh. its too messy and its all built on the back of what may or may not have been a slight against them. and the rift just kept getting#wider. i mean knowing Tobirama it was probably a slight... but idk im not power hungry enough to understand y they got so mad abt it#konoha. the village in which everyone sucks and the children suffer.#naruto ramblings#naruto

why do i give valuable time to people who i'd much rather kick in the eye?
I know. That's not the correct lyric. Combining them together somewhat makes more sense in this context, though. For instance, have you ever found yourself acquainted with the most unbearable people you know? If not, then go you. There were some mean fucking people to me in high school. They weren't exactly my bullies, and I've done enough ruminating to conclude that no, it is not just me in denial of being victimized that you're hearing. I mean, it wasn't heavy enough to traumatize me for the rest of my life but maybe just enough to make me open up a conversation about the minute choices I make in my life, particularly the kind of people I let inside of it. I once went out to the mall in eighth grade with these really pretty girls from another school whom I met from a boy from another class. This is confusing and wordy and there isn't really any other way to go about it when you're telling stories that occurred in high school, you just end up sounding exactly the way you did when you were an obnoxious teen spilling banal school drama to your peers. I was a social butterfly, that's what I really meant to say. I wasn't popular, but I knew a lot of people. Including this one girl in my class who told me I should stop taking pictures with other people and pretending they're my friends when I posted a photo of me hanging out with those pretty girls on Facebook. God. That was the funniest, most insulting thing anyone has ever said to me. Perhaps the only thing that ever made me go, "Damn." I've never been so humored and galled at the same time. I kind of respect her for that.
hey i know those girls from yfc (Youth for Christ)
there's no way ur friends with them lolol
She commented that on my post for everyone to see. Damn. Does it help to explain that Dubai's also an extremely small world where everyone knows someone that even if you put aside my character I'd still be bound to cross paths with pretty, popular people anyway? Yet she chose to be an ass about it. And the year after. And the year after that. I had mutual friends with her so I still hung out with this girl. I attended parties, got wasted, even went as far to sharing my cigarettes—even when I'm known to be stingy about them—with this girl. Yet I couldn't stand this girl. Insufferable, this girl. Worse part is, she wasn't the only one. There were some mean fucking people to me in high school.
The thing about movies and tv is that they show a clear polarity between popular vs unpopular, bully vs bullied, etcetera. Sometimes I wish it was that defined, then maybe I wouldn't have that weird gray area of people who get on my fucking nerves but try to be civil towards because they've somehow infiltrated my life and I don't quite know how to get rid of them. Some movies and tv do get it right, though. I'm currently watching Santa Clarita Diet (2017) and it made me think about what it means to be "nice" and how far niceness goes. When in doubt, eat them. I believe Hannibal (2013) taught that as well. I guess it also shows us how well you can get away with a crime and not raise suspicions when you're a white, upper middle class couple who works as "real-a-tors".
I always think about this cop's painting of her neighbor (Timothy Olyphant)'s "nervous smile". That grimace is too familiar. This would make more sense if given a broader context of the show, but let's just say this: maybe the days of politeness and courtesy are over. Maybe it's about time we start biting people's faces off when they piss us off.
There's so much that needs to be said about civility and other pains of adulthood that come from being subject to normativity and I'm not here to make a thesis on that because there are loads of people who have done that before me. I'm just here to express my frustration. I, however, want to address younger people and say that there will be adults who'll tell you that you'll eventually grow tired of others' heckling and that you'll learn to let it pass, forgive, and suck it up like a real adult because that's the way you'll gain inner peace. But I say it's perfectly permissible, if you feel like it, to flip them the bird and it will give you peace. It's not mutually exclusive.

Are you?
So far you've misconstrued my words, acted as though my thinking is entirely false simply because I haven't taken the time to bring you proof (something I'm not obligated to do for a stranger who could look it up themself), and talked down to me with every response you make. Not a single response has gone by without you being a condescending prick.
In truth, not once did I ignore the histories of the rest of humanity, nor did I say a lot of the things you're saying I did. I made a statement about white history, and that our ancestors were shitty fucking people and I did not approve of it because in comparison, we're the only one who committed genocide for things as stupid as religion and race. Never did I say this made any other reason to slaughter millions of people better, nor did I say that other races weren't committing attrocities.
And cops are punished eh? Really? Tell that to the kid who was pinned to the ground and shot in front of his mom and grandma simply because he got involved when a cop lost his temper and started beating on his mom. He stopped fighting and was pinned, and what did courts say? "It was a reasonable use of deadly force." And that case is not unique. You accuse me of speaking from place of ignorance yet you speak from one yourself. So maybe you should check your news free. Maybe go try to find one that Doesn't ignore the crimes of the police.
And ICE's mission? That's totally accomplished by forcing out people who were allowed to come here to pursue legal status. Totally. And it was totally accomplished by taking all those immigrant children and locking them up in cages. ICE's mission was totally accomplished with that right? And Trump's support of that action was totally not based on racism, right?
Don't even bother answering that. I already know you're going to defend that to the death so save your fucking breath.
And Mongolia killed the most? Really? How many did they kill? If It's not more than 24 million, they haven't beaten Cortez. And That's just HIM.
And lastly, you weren't right about that. None of the reasons given were ones that warranted deportation. Again, stop misconstruing my words. It makes it a LOT harder to want to keep debating this with you. Seriously, if your response to this mirrors the last, I am going to block you. I am not wasting my time arguing with someone who would rather misconstrue my words and act like an condescending prick than debate like a decent human being.
Long story short, my opinions on my own race and my beliefs about America are born from things I have experienced and evidence I have seen. I'm sorry I don't have a massive 5000 page book detailing every bit of evidence I've ever seen. So sorry that I don't have sources to toss at everybody who decides to debate with me.
But bottom line is, you want this evidence? You can either be patient AND POLITE or go look it up yourself. You are not entitled to my time nor my energy. The evidence you want is online. You want it so much that you have stoop to being an asshole, you can look it up yourself.
I don't do research for condescending pricks.
P.s. do not dismiss what white people did with "well other races did similar things!" It makes you sound like a fucking racist who's trying to absolve white people of any fault.
Which as a white person PISSES ME OFF. Our ancestors were fucking shitty. Their actions do not magically become less shitty just because other races did similar things.
@thalia-the-vampire-queen TY for the links. The shrill hysterical tone of that Slate article was almost comical. So looked into some of the names mentioned. Keep in mind, I asked you for proof that ICE is deporting us citizens because they are POC.
Polish guy-arrest initiated on child abuse charges, 2 misdemeanors and 18 counts of interactions with police. Not because he was Polish (strange case for you to pick if you’re going to charge racism on ICE since he’s white, btw) Child abuse was dismissed due to lack of evidence because his ex spread lies about him (*cough*like Ford*cough*believe the victims*cough* isn’t presumption of innocence and due process wonderful? ;) ) But everything else reveals he’s hardly a schoolboy. This guy is actually local to me, which makes it more interesting. He is not yet been deported, and he himself doesn’t blame ICE: “He doesn’t believe ICE did anything wrong by arresting him, he said, and he believes CPS workers have a tough job.” https://www.mlive.com/news/kalamazoo/index.ssf/2018/04/child_abuse_allegations_agains.html
He’s not a US citizen (or a POC)
Andre Brown violated the terms of his visa and missed a meeting, which qualified him for deportation, though to be fair, it seems to be due in part to his crappy immigrant advocate. There’s action to get him back and I hope he wins.
He’s not a US citizen.
Alejandra Ruiz was scooped up in a sweep that caught up a whole bunch of illegals that included 60 people with criminal activities. She got to stay and wasn’t deported.
Even though she’s not a US citizen
Liliana Cruz Mendez. Not a US citizen. Here illegally aka criminal. Husband not a US citizen either.
Jorge Garcia - another local guy for me. A more tragic case, as it seems he was brought here illegally, without consent, and has tried to do everything right to get citizenship. This situation genuinely sucks and I hope he wins out, but still, not a US citizen. So to sum up, I asked you for evidence that ICE is deporting US poc citizens. You gave me this link, where not a single person listed was a US citizen. And in each case, there is not a single trace that the action to deport them was due to race, but rather legal and criminal charges–which is what ICE is legally supposed to do! So, I am still waiting for this proof you promised me.
You seem to have this notion that anyone can come here and claim citizenship defacto, with all the rights that entails. It doesn’t work that way. Anywhere on the planet. Ever. Even then, the US is one of the easiest places in the world to gain citizenship!
Look into what it takes to become a citizen of Mexico or any of the Latin countries down south. Harder than the US. Take New Zealand. You pretty much have to marry someone who already lives there to become a citizen. Switzerland, next to impossible. And so on across the globe. Citizenship to the nation of your choice is a privilege, not a right. No country owes anyone from outside their borders anything. Anything they are given is a gift, not a right. And claims of racism have no foundation whatsoever other than as a catchword intended to create an emotional response.
