you're the one trying to only give small hints about your relationship- adding her songs to your posts, tying a black ribbon to your purse, adding a lightning a charm to your charm bracelet or key chain, small things that tie back to her without it being too obvious.

thalia is the one who tries to hint at it more- posting a playlist full of love songs that you like, with the first letter of each song organized to spell out your name, dedicating a love song to her 'best friend who she just feels so strongly for' before playing it, drawing your initial inside of a heart on one of her guitars, she's the one who's ready to show you off to the world.

with thalia's hints, fans obviously became suspicious. fan theories and rumors began spreading throughout her listeners, bringing your hidden relationship to the attention of thousands. they began sharing what songs they thought thalia had written for you, making playlists full of love songs they thought resembled the two of you, most of those songs coming from chappell roan. a couple (like thousands) of edits to red wine supernova, super graphic ultra modern girl and love me anyway, you began giving more hints at your relationship. posting you holding hands with someone who just so happened to have their nails painted black and a lightning tattoo (whoever could that be ?!!?!?), sharing a photo of you and thalia together backstage, and even adding a picture of you wearing her jewelry in one of your monthly photo dumps.

you and thalia had fun hinting and teasing fans, waiting for the day when you'd make it official but deciding to have a little fun first ♡

My Beloved Sunburst,

It's been a little while, I know, and I'm truly sorry for it. I just haven't had the time to pick up a pen or a quill lately. My shop gets flooded during the month of Nightmare Night, you know how it is. Ponies come in looking for decorations (In a curio shop? Strange, I know!) and other oddities to show off, or they bring along an artifact they think is haunted or something. It's fun to see them learn that it isn't, or that it is! Both reactions are part of what makes owning this place fun. I'd love to show you sometime ♡

But that's not why I'm writing to you, I just want to tell you how much I miss you. How much I long to be in your vicinity, we don't even have to be talking or cuddling. I just want to be near you, that's how much I miss you. I want to hear your cute little snorts when something interests you within that book you've read for the umpteenth time. I want to see your eyes light up when you finally realize how to put two, or three, unrelated spells together to make a brand new one. I want to watch your ears flick when you hear a teeny tiny sound that takes you out of your own little bookbound world.

If you'd like to cuddle, that'd be nice too. Your steady breathing and your heartbeat are like music to me. I'd give anything in all of Equestria to be beside you right now. You always smell like an old book, it's one of my favorite smells and I'm glad I get to experience it all the time when we're together. The way your soft, love-filled chuckles hum in your chest, and how your voice softens when it's just the two of us. I don't think there'd ever be a better sound to hear than you speaking to me like I'm the most precious thing in your life. SADLY I'm running out of scroll space, though, maybe I'll follow this one up with another here soon. I love you with all of my everything, Sunburst. I'll see you when I can, okay?
