You know, I don't think I've ever shared a Picrew of (probably) my most notable male OC Nathaniel here! Although he has made a few appearances in my Sims 4 game...

I found this maker through a random Picrew link generator, and it's not totally perfect (he looks like a mf handsome Squidward), I still wanted to share my guy. I believe there are female options as well, so feel free to make a pretty buff muscle woman or whatever. :P

For the uninitiated: Nathaniel Ambroise Beaumont (affectionately known as "Thani") is a French-Canadian history major originally from Montreal (in the province of Quebec). He works alongside his former history professor in the university he graduated from, doing things like conducting anthropological studies, cataloguing artifacts, holding lectures (and even his own classes) over ancient cultures, and occasionally flying out to different countries to work right in archaeological sites. His biggest pet peeves are conspiracy theories, and he considers his most important mission in life is to educate others about ancient cultures and the world itself.

In his spare time, Nathaniel enjoys creating art, studying and playing old musical instruments and just spending time with his family! He's married to his beloved Lucrezia (or "Luce") and the father of orchestra-inclined Violetta ("Viola"), science-obsessed Michelangelo ("Mica"), and curious Serafina ("Sera"). An introvert by nature, Nathaniel also considers himself a "cat person" and treasures his little Siamese, Chouette.

Nathaniel was initially created as a historical character, believe it or not - he lived during the RENAISSANCE. So I suppose it was no surprise I chose to still have history tied into his backstory when I made him a modern-day character. His long, wavy, hair has always been a signature part of his appearance and it used to be red; now it's dark brown. He also used to have green eyes, but they're actually supposed to be hazel. I've always imagined him to have a mole somewhere on his face, and one of his eyebrows is split because I imagine he tried to cut his hair as a kid (back when he was self-conscious and got teased for having long hair) and somehow ended up accidentally cutting the skin there bad enough that the hair hasn't grown back since. He does also enjoy wearing simple pieces of jewelry (including necklaces), especially if they have some sort of historical or sentimental/familial value to him. He additionally has one tattoo on his lower right arm: "je me souviens" (the motto of his home province) written in cursive.

So as mentioned in my previous post about this bingo, my birthday is next month. And for that occasion I wanted to host another bingo! Like my last bingo in October 2021, this one will have moodboards to the squares. You don’t have to use them, but they’re there for inspiration, and can also be used in your fics as a “cover” if you’d like 🥰 I’m gonna have the moodboards up before the bingo starts on Monday 17th of January 😅

Okay, so this dude WAS living rent-free in my head and didn't want to leave at the time I used these Picrews and wrote up this post, but now he kind of got kicked out and my brain space is occupied with several of my other OCs so whatever. This has been in my drafts long enough and I've decided to drop this now anyway.

It's Nathaniel! I featured him in a previous Picrew post, but while I was making a different character, I got a pop-up showing off different makers specifically for male characters! I thought, okay, sure, why not, I'll try them out.

I didn't like the options on some of the makers featured so I just scrapped what I had so far, but I was happy with these four!

With the first one, I guess I ended up putting him in something he'd wear for his job as a history professor (among other things - see the first link for more info about him). I didn't really like a lot of the hair options in the second one, but with the best style I found (the only 'decent' long hair in my opinion was that messy one), I just had to turn him into what he'd look like if you woke him up on the wrong side of the bed and he hasn't had his morning coffee yet. The third one has to be my favorite one even though it didn't have the hairstyle I originally wanted for him, but his wife does like to play and style his hair so maybe she put it in that cute updo. And the fourth one's okay, I guess. I think it does have the most accurate hairstyle he'd have normally when it's down.

+ She met her late husband in Anchorage. Nate was a surgeon stationed at the army hospital and Claire was one of the patients. He was the one who operated on her ear. They met again years later when both of them had moved to New England.

+ Claire hates killing feral ghouls because she knows they were once people, and they were most likely people she used to know. Friends, neighbors, co-workers, the mailwoman, the sweet cashier at her favorite store, etc. She knows they’re a threat to everyone, and killing them can also be seen as an act of kindness, but it’ll never sit well with her.

+ She’s excellent at making people feel comfortable enough to open up to her. It’s an innate talent that helped her when she was a lawyer, since many of her clients were abuse victims. Present day, it helps her when talking with scared settlers and synths, or when investigating cases with Nick. She’d make a great spy, too, but she’s too recognizable nowadays.

Dear everyone!

As autumn rolls around I want to try and get more creative. That’s why I want to host a writing bingo. But! I want to put a new(?) twist on it, and have the squares be moodboards … hear me out! I’ll be making about 30 different moodboards, and what you’ll have to do to participate is write something based of off one square (one moodboard).

There will be 30 different moodboards, one for each day of September. It’ll include au’s, and won’t just be straight passing relationships represented in the moodboards, but all relationships are eligible! 🥰 That being said, just cause there’s a man and woman in the pictures, you can still change the gender/identity of it to fit with your story.

The moodboards will be posted 10 a day in August so you’ll have time to plot and start writing before you can start posting in September 🥰

There will be a winner, randomly picked, who’ll get a moodboard of their choosing, made by me 🥰 The winner will be picked the first week of October 🥰

It’ll start on September 1st, 2021 and end on September 30th, 2021

Write one, ten or all of the fics. But don’t feel like you have to write them, this is a fun little writing exercise

You can write a head canon, ficlet, multi-chapter (one moodboard per fic) or a one shot. But please, if it’s longer than 500 words, put it under read more.

The fics can be fluff, smut, angst, etc if you feel like they would fit with the aesthetic of the moodboard you write for. Please remember to tag the fics with the right warnings before posting it.
