The self insert in the bottom left is in my first Self Insert OC Guide (linked in my pinned post), but this is Maci Anderson. She’s my Detroit: Become Human self insert. Fun fact, she’s actually the second self insert I’ve ever made. (Maggie is the first, she’s the one I have for Finding Nemo/Finding Dory.)

I won’t go into details here (but if anyone’s interested I can info dump as much as I can about her) but Maci is Connor’s girlfriend and Hank Anderson’s niece. She’s a detective at the DPD who met Connor during the events of the game, same way Hank did, and they fall in love and yipee

But yee me and someone in a server had a convo about the idea of drawing Rocket as Connor and I immediately went to doodling it!

some updates! because i literally said i was gonna move muses around, take some out, all that shit, and then i never did lmao

i’ve removed mobius completely. writing him just didn’t come to me as naturally as i’d hoped. terribly sorry. i’ve also removed beverly; writing her myself just felt weird idk muses that have moved into request: asra alnazar, cecilia pazzi (hannibal oc), and my variant loki. they’re still in there somewhere, i just haven’t got as much muse for them as i used to. i am still considering adding a few more OCs, but they have yet to be added, so i will be taking my time with that.

Self Insert Birthday Countdown Day 15!!

Ft. Maci Anderson from Detroit: Become Human

Maci is Hank’s niece. She also soon becomes Connor’s girlfriend. She’s 24, she was born in Knoxville, Tennessee and she lived with a loving mother (Hank’s sister) and her biological father. At the age of eight, Maci’s father unalived her mother due to a drunken rage and he was put in jail. This devastated Maci because her mother was her favorite person besides Hank. At nineteen she graduated college and got a sergeant role in the GPD (Gatlinburg Police Department) and also changed her last name to her mother’s maiden name, Anderson to further distance herself from her father and also because she considered Hank more of a father to her than her own father. (That’s why her current last name is Anderson, not Miles). Two years later she found out that Hank’s son Cole and his previous wife were killed in a car crash. She then moved in with him to keep him company over the trauma of losing his family and ended up joining the DPD alongside her uncle. Three years after she joins the DPD she meets Connor and falls in love with him over time throughout the game’s events. Maci was at first scared Hank would be mad at her but he reassured her that it was fine saying that he cared more about her happiness.

Maci’s theme is hot chocolate because it’s her favorite drink. Summer or Winter, she drinks that stuff like it’s her own coffee. Her uncle Hank questions her about it every now and then and she’s like “it’s better than that gross dark black tar you call coffee that you drink every morning”
