“Camper 2″ -- Sora tries out a new victim, but ends up just as bored as usual. I went with flatly colored/detailed scenery to match the simple lineart and the simply executed coloring. I also made the mistake with “Camper” of making BT’s body colored. In SIGN the body of anyone who is defeated loses saturation before they disappear.

Bookstore Manga Scan - Lumine 6th Floor Bookstore
Every time I'm in Japan, I like to pop into bookstores and quickly check out what's popular and being promoted. Especially since there are so many titles that are popular in Japan but don't find that same popularity with english scanlation readers. (Likewise, there are titles that are more popular with english scanlation readers than with Japanese readers).
Lumine is one of the many department stores at Ikebukuro and they have a bookstore on the 6th floor, however their manga section is pretty small. On the plus side though that means they really only emphasize the really popular mangas.
The two main mangas being promoted were Hirunaka no Ryuusei (since the live-action film just came out) and Sangatsu no Lion (ditto plus part two is coming out in April). Especially Sangatsu no Lion, I’ve been seeing it everywhere, even outside bookstores. The marketing campaign is really doing their job!
Other manga of interest:
Anata no Koto wa Sorehodo by Ikuemi Ryou (see the top-left photo) is being adapted into a TBS Drama, which I am pleasantly surprised by. I’ve been a fan of Ikuemi since reading Principal and actually really like Anata no Koto wa Sorehodo, despite the plot basically being about people cheating on their spouses lol. I know some people dislike this manga because it’s full of “unlikable cheaters”, but I personally like imperfect characters, especially when they’re written by someone like Ikuemi.
Atelier of Witch Hat by Shirahama Kamome (see top-center photo) this manga has caught my interest ever since I saw the beautiful cover and I’m glad to see that it’s doing well in the market. An intriguing story about a girl who wants to be a witch - fantasy fans should definitely check this out!
Torikaebaya by Saitou Chiho (see top-right): If the name of the author sounds familiar at all then it’s probably because she also wrote Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Torikaebaya is one of those mangas that for some reason has never been scanlated despite being critically well received, and having an interesting premise, about a pair of siblings whose gender identity/presentation doesn’t quite match their designated gender, and so decide to switch places with each other. I’ve only read the first two volumes but I find it pretty good so far.
Maicchau wa Machiko-san! by Mashiro Hina (see bottom-left): Apparently one of the top manga on Nico Nico Douga Manga (x), this is a funny manga focusing on Machiko, who thinks that all her male colleagues are chasing after her, and whose dirty mind constantly misconstrues the things people say around her. (You can read a few chapters here).
Fudanshi no Shachou by Kaerytai (see bottom-center): The cool and intellectual boss of the company turns out to be a fudanshi and, in his cool and intellectual way, explains the Otaku World... is it any surprise that this manga became hugely popular on pixiv? It was just released in bookstores in Feb 23 and there’s a promotional video going around (x)
A-san no Baai by Yamamoto Rie (see bottom-right photo) This is a manga that I’ve never seen before but it was being promoted. Turns out it’s a 4-koma web manga about two working women (one single, the other married and with a child) and their woes. The art is cute, if sparse.
I think it’s telling that the three popular manga I wasn’t as familiar with were all web manga. There are more and more web manga platforms, but they’re rarely translated into English.
