Knowing jiu jitsu fundamentals should be a baseline expectation for every police officer. That said, knowing how to translate jiu jitsu from the mats to the streets is a whole other language and conversation. Super privileged to get some small group time in with George Hissung, owner of @hybridgymbjj . George is the first American to be awarded a black belt (3rd degree) under @marcelo_alonso_bjj , and he also happens to have a wealth of knowledge and experience as a street cop in the PacNW.
