Off stage
Yo, just me finishing up summerfest because waow... I am late and sore from band camp still. Also I'm kind of too lazy to actually search through who I need to reply to, so they're kind of vague.
Milreaf/Hiro - Milreaf sees Hiro trying to decide how to help Bon, but is kind of just letting it go right now. They get some areas of their lives smooth over and throw fire/iceballs back at each other.
Lemmy/Zacharie - Lemmy says ye to his friends and goes back home to his veterinarian in training roommate, Zacharie. After a few sex joke cracks from Zacharie, they plan to get tine all fixed up and pampered for the next time.
---
Milreaf smiled at Giegue and left on her own accord, ushering her bird to come along.
Pausing behind Hiro, she looked in the direction he was staring at. Noticing a fallen person on the ground, she wondered what made him hesitate to help. Then she noticed it was because someone was helping her.
"It's okay not to help everyone, you know. You're only human."
He turned around and sighed outwardly.
"Human or not, I'm still Milletian. I guess... I can... just... not take... care of... someone... for once..." he twitched a bit erratically and tried his best to peel his eyes away with much difficulty.
"Hiro... did you even eat yet..? You, go about helping others because it's your job. But when it comes down to it, you don't help yourself."
"Says the person who does it all the time." he snorted, and stopped when he saw a glare piercing into his eyes. "Lemmy, said you passed out after the Ewecinox. With mana and potion poisoning. Then you ended up getting sick after promenade. You can't keep doing things like that."
But he reached into his inventory and pushed a few boxes into her hands.
"You ran off before I could come back from the stalls. I got the dishes you wanted, and more." his teal eyes twinkled a bit and gave a dorky wink.
Opening the boxes carefully, they were just as mentioned what she ordered before. (I actually am braindead and can't remember anything rn) As well as her favorite dishes.
"Y-you got me... cream croquettes... but don't you have to cook those...?" he nodded, taking a swift bite out of it. She relished in it's soft warmth. "It's delicious...! H-how did you know that these were my favorite...?"
He shrugged his shoulders and patted her head gently.
"I know you from a long time ago. You just don't remember because you became a Milletian."
"S-so...what were you to me then. You act so close and protective... but that is confusing me."
Hiro arched an eyebrow. But he eased his posture.
"I was your older brother. I guess I still would your brother." he paused. "Ah, not blood related brother. I was adopted about 6 years before you were adopted. So we're just foster siblings. I took care of you for 8 years before you passed away. So quite naturally, I'd know everything about you!" he gave a sheepishly sad smile and a pitiful gaze. "But now, because you've grown up... I don't think I know even a fraction of you like before."
Turning her face away, she blushed furiously. So he wasn't what she thought at all. But just much nicer... shaking her head she gleamed up at him.
"Well... then you can learn then!"
Hiro smiled and nodded his head. Only to get hit by an incoming snowball projectile.
Falling backwards onto the sand he stood up hurriedly.
"Y-you! You threw those snowballs with the ice projectiles...! How dirty! I had to take care of 2 people from that" throwing a fire ball projectile back.
Barely scorching her hair, Milreaf promptly aimed another ice ball back. Unable to let his pride go down, the two had volleyed ice and fire magic back and forth until they both got exhausted.
---
After seeing Haru run away hurriedly, Lemmy checked his watch and noticed it was about wrapping up for the night. Waving a quick bye to Rai as well as promising to text and hang out later, he made his way to flying back on his pegasus.
Opening the door to his home with one slightly free hand, one arm holding tine, the other arm attempting to keep the box of food away from the small puppy, he was greeted by his roommate.
"Welcome home, sweet Lemon Cake...!"
he scowled at the nickname, but firmly rested tine onto the floor. Surprised by the sudden dog, Zacharie raced over and petted the small dog gently. It seemed tine had grown fonder of Zacharie in the few seconds than of Lemmy in their entirety of acknowledging each other's presence. In actuality, Zacharie was simply checking over the dog.
"I didn't know you got another jindo..."
"It's not mine it's er... ah..."
"Oh right right, it's the boyfriend's. Got it." Zacharie looked up, and raised an eyebrow. "It's not that surprising, Lemon Cake. It's the same guy from prom, isn't it? It's alright to admit it. You don't hang out with a lot of people, and the past 5 months or so, you only have been around this one person. So...! I figured something got serious between when you met and now."
A bit dumbfounded how his roommate had collected that idea so quickly, he flushed into red immediately.
"I can't take all the credit." carrying tine in his arms, he sat on the edge of the couch arm and smiled. "Milky sent a picture of him to me once! I must say that you have quite some good taste." he winked and continued. "Plus, you got some pretty deep hickeys. I guess the other day when I came back for something and heard those noises in your room, you two got a little too busy. How far did you go? I heard 3rd base when I got home."
Lemmy was about to strangle him but resisted when Zach moved the puppy in front of him. "He looks a little young... maybe he's just one of those baby-faced guys. Didn't you say that you had an older woman phase before?"
He stopped laughing, but looked at tine in his hands.
"What's her name?"
"Her...? I thought the dog was male... so I was going to have him play with kyoruu.
"Hmm? Yeah... this is a female dog... Ah... well that's a bit awkward... Oh the name says tine. That's kind of an odd name."
"It's short for Clemmyntine."
"Well that's cute."
"It has my name in it."
"Ohhhhh." Zacharie stared back at the dog and then back at Lemmy. He slowly went and checked her over. "I have my med bag with me, so I'll be right back! I wanna check if she has everything up to date."
He was about to stop him, but knew he had a wide assortment of random things in his bags... The chocolatey-violet haired young man came back and looked at the dog really confused.
"Er... Well, she seems to not have any shots.. I wonder how old she is, actually. Must not be more than a month or two." he paused and kept carrying her in his arms. "Say, when are you going to see your boyfriend again. Sorry, I don't know his name."
"Hatto, and he's kind of upset at me still, so I'm unsure."
"If it's not in 3-4 days, I'll just bring tine with me to my internship and get her vaccinations all set." then he paused. "It's about the kissing booth, isn't it? Didn't I tell you that day to wait and see what may happen? Anyway. If you pay for the vaccinations, and give back his dog all nice and healthy... I am sure he won't be upset at you, he might be indebted and speechless and want to pay back 5 times over...!"
"I don't have a need for money, Zacharie..."
"I didn't mean it in the monetary sense, Lemon Cake. I meant it more of...being in bed, kind of sense."
Feeling his knees get weak, he fell to the ground and covered his face. Zacharie suddenly softened and placed tine on the ground again.
"I...I guess you two didn't get too far. W-well!" straightening out his scarf, he smiled gently. "I'm sure you won't do anything else too careless, but let's just take care of her okay. Since she's still a puppy, I'm pretty sure Kyo won't do anything to her... She's not in heat afterall. But, I'm sure this Hatto-person, would love a cute and vaccinated dog."
Whistling out to call Kyo from his backyard, the older dog wagged his tail in expectation, as he slowly carried the small puppy back out by the scruff of her neck to where the other pets stayed.
"You should go to sleep, Lemon Cake. I don't have work tomorrow but..." he smiled. "I should be back by the afternoon! So, she should be all vaccinated by then. See you!" watching him go up to his room, Lemmy sighed deeply. He still had a large tinge of regret in his voice but decided to go to his practice room and play music in there.
Shuffling out composition papers, he began to write them all on the same score, only to rearrange and fill them in slowly and mind numbingly. Playing portions of the music on his piano, he finally got to the end where he smiled happily.
"I should.. show him this then. He hasn't been here yet... and he hasn't actually heard me play piano before... so he can have two new experiences and his dog back." checking the time, it was close to 5 in the morning. He said good bye to Zacharie around... 12:30. He frowned, he always got held up by music every time.
Deciding it was okay to just send an owl, he wrote a simple note.
"Please come meet me in Emain Macha Square in two days during the afternoon. I want to show you something at my home, so please come."
Lemmy thought it sounded kind of desperate and childish, but he tied the scroll with a navy ribbon and hailed an owl and watched it fly away. Hopefully he'd come...

With the night ending there was still one more person to visit... A sweet scent attracting him helplessly. It was hard to resist having some fun. His feet took him past the flames, to the edge of the beach. Silhouettes coming to view, but all too easy to recognize.
Within view of each other, he wondered if they would notice his approach. Pausing at a reasonable distance, he lifted his arm softly to wave at the pair.
(( joint post between nekyu and i under the cut -- tl;dr mistreil agrees to have a long slumber party at nekyu's house and heads home to pack. laima sort of gets ditched. poor laima. ))
Both girls noticed a figure waving at them, to which Laima's face contorted into a grimace. 'Oh hell no,' the maid thought to herself. As Mistreil was about to wave back, her hand was grabbed by the older woman who began to leave the area.
"We don't have time for this-- Guede and Arcelle are probably waiting for us." A pretty decent attempt at reasoning, though she was unaware that the other half of their group had long ditched them.
Well then.
Seems like no one wants to take a friendly greeting today. No. He had something he needed to give her. He ran over to them quickly and cut them off. Reaching into his shirt he pulled out an envelope and held it out to Mistreil.
"Um... Hi Nekyu," the milletian smiled, picking the envelope up. Her eyes drifted from the letter to Nekyu's face as she spoke, "Should I read it here-- Y-you're injured...? Are you-- What happened?"
Meanwhile, Laima just glared at the incubus, disgusted and irritated. While she loved the part of the girl that would worry about others, was worrying about this piece of crap even necessary?
“You can read it whenever. Alil wanted me to give it to you.” Avoiding the question, he looked away, annoyed with the attitude the woman was giving him. He didn’t need to answer her needless questions. It was unnecessary to talk about his injuries. Things would be a lot nicer without the women, so hopefully soon he could speak to her alone.
... Nekyu and Laima definitely didn't seem to like each other. Understandable... But... This was awkward. Well, more awkward than conversations usually were, anyway. Leaving the two of them here would probably just make things a lot more difficult than they had to be.
"Laima? I'll catch up with you later, so... U-um..."
"... No matter what I do or say, it's not going to change anything, huh?" Pausing for a moment, the maid sighed, "Fine. But you better come back in one piece."
"O-Okay." Mistreil nodded and waved goodbye to the maid, opening up the letter, "B-By the way, was Alil okay? After the prom, I mean..."
A nice smile of satisfaction rose on Nekyu’s face as they moved away from Laima. As they walked he swung his arm around onto Mistreil’s shoulders. “Ah him, he’s fine now, but I really need to talk to whoever spent the night with them.” He looked away with an annoyed expression. Whatever fucking incubus touched his kid was in for it later.
... Come to think of it, who did Alil go to the promenade with? Did they do something?
"I-I'm glad he's okay now." She stared at the letter, reading it while walking. Alil suggested she spent time with Nekyu and himself, but... Laima and Guede definitely wouldn't be happy with that. Anyways, she hadn't the slightest idea where they lived.
“Can’t quite say the same for myself.” Pulling her closer to him he sighed a bit. I at least need my arm back. “What did he say in the letter anyways?”
"U-uh... That I should spend time with... you and Alil.. And that you 'enjoy my company and miss me a lot'." Summarizing the contents, she glanced at Nekyu. She considered helping him recover, but she already told Laima that she'd go back in one piece. If she helped him, he could always use his regenerated strength to hurt people. If she didn't he could try to eat people to heal.
... There was no winning, was there? So she kept quiet and kept walking, not really sure what to do.
“Ah.... hum..... Yes you should come spend more time with us~ I want to spend lots of time with you. It’s so lonely you know. No friends to spend the day with, while I mostly lay around trying to tend to my wounds. It’s hard to do things with just one arm! ...Like get food....”
Yes, please come to our home. Let me play, let me eat, your sweet sweet meat. Just keep going... walking...
She took what he said with a grain of doubt, as her friends so often told her to do. Was he being sarcastic, or was he lonely? If he was being honest, she didn't want to assume he was lying. That'd be bad. Still, one thing he said stuck out to her.
"... You can't fight with one arm?" Mistreil stared at him a bit. She always figured Nekyu was pretty strong, from what little she had seen. Maybe it was just the impression he gave, though.
'... Huh? Where are we even going?' She thought to herself. It didn't really make a difference whether she knew or not though, probably.
They were quite far now weren’t they? Looking back to see if anyone around he considered what he could do now. “Well.... it’s not that I can’t fight.” As soon as he finished his sentence he shoved her roughly onto the ground.
He knelt down to her level. “It’s just a bit harder, much more inconvenient. There’s always a good amount of pain from the wounds too.” There wasn’t a smile or frown on his face, he just stared her down. It wouldn’t be super great right now to hurt her much. He could feel that it wouldn’t be too long into the future that he would have his fun.
Startled, the girl stared for a while. '... Well that was a little uncalled for,' the sass that her friends apparently held resounded in her head, 'I... guess... that's a show of strength?'
"... Oh," she muttered simply, "um... S-so it's more difficult... for you to... uh... hunt...? ... Have... you been eating?"
... She'd probably regret asking. But... Maybe, just maybe, she could do something.
“I still eat, a lot. It’s just not enough. I need ~a lot~ more. It’s a bit difficult, but I have Alil to give me a hand.” He loomed over her. “Would you help me get food? Just come around a little, then I won’t have to get so much of the bad food...”
... Could... she really believe those words? She wanted to save people... To postpone their deaths... But the voice of her friends who had lectured her rang through her head, 'Even if you don't want to distrust people, you shouldn't blindly believe everything. Honestly, you're going to be lied to and manipulated and thing will just get worse and worse! Start thinking a little more before you act!'
She stared at the letter in her hands, fiddling with it a bit. "... Hey, Nekyu? Where do you live?"
He smiled as the girl asked the question. Perfect. My good good girl. Moving closer to her face, his hand went into his shirt to grab a small piece of fabric. With the tips of his fingers he separated her fingers and set the fabric in her hands. He grabbed her hands into his one hand, and set his forehead onto hers. “You know Coill yes..? Set this at the entrance, and as long as you don’t disturb the wildlife, they won’t disturb you. I’m sure you’ll be able to find your way to my home.”
Staring at the cloth, she nodded a bit. "... Okay."
Taking a deep breath, she patted Nekyu's head before slowly retracting her hand as her mind wandered. It was okay. She'd protect people like this, if even only for a little while. How long would a little while be, though? If she was going to go there, staying for just a day was out of the question. Nekyu would just kill more people after she left.
"... I-If... I... said... I would stay there for a while..." She mumbled quietly, not sure how to word things, "How long... would... I be allowed to...?"
... Maybe she shouldn't have asked. If he expected a short stay, then this would be weird. Still, it's not like he had much to lose from the offer, right?
Ohhh my Mistreil. You don’t fail my expectations at all. Sweet and naive, or well... at least too kind for her own good. His smile grew and his eyes locked onto her with an excited and almost delighted look. “Well.. you’re welcome to stay however long you want... a few days... a few weeks.. a few months.... years.... however long you want.” Fall smoothly into my arms. Or well, arm. You’re mine now.
Again, she simply replied with a nod. Her gaze drifted from the ground to the incubus, who seemed to look at her intently.
"... I'll... go home... and get stuff then. So..." Picking herself off the ground, she began walking back.
It was such a delightful end to his night. Rising to his feet he watched her walk off. “Then... I’ll see you soon... Mistreil.” It was almost sad, but still overwhelmingly satisfying. He too took his leave to grab Oonthe and return home.

[I DIDN'T KNOW SUMMERFEST ENDED TODAY RIP ME I STILL DON'T HAVE A TABLET HAVE A CRAPPY TEXT POST :(((( ]
Before the queen can do anything, you feel yourself being pulled away from the court.
x
Haloe looked around wildly as she was pulled away from the suspenseful scene. What just happened? Where was she? What was in that food?
The man that pulled her away had a tattoo of a lizard on his cheek. He seemed concerned and rubbed his chest with his fist. What was that supposed to mean? It seemed apologetic. Haloe gave him a small smile in understanding and curtsied to him as he bowed.
He handed her a small doll with pink hair and returned to his business, revealing the exit back to the beach. These were really cute dolls she had collected today, she'd put them on her bedside windowsill next to her flower pot. They'd look nice there.
Haloe put the doll in the bowl of the trophy she somehow won from the surfing contest next to her other 3 dolls and made her way to the beach. Things seemed a lot calmer now that she was out of that 'wonderland'. Perhaps the effect from that food has worn off. She took a deep breath of salty sea air and smiled, ready to join the bonfire. The second she stepped onto the sand, however..
KABOOM-
WHAT- HUH? All four of her dolls rattled around and flew into the air and exploded into a million colors. Did the food's effects not wear off? "WHAA..." Haloe yelled out as she watched her dolls scatter around her. Her wails were not very audible, however, over the constant booming of the fireworks. Wow. Wow. All that and she didn't get to keep her dolls? What about her trophy? It's so charred, now!
Haloe whimpered and slumped her way towards the bonfire. On one side of the fire there was a small fight between a dude with large wings and a small girl, while on the other side the angry elf twins seemed to have gotten into a spat with Thigh (That WAS his name, right?).
Why did this always seem to happen
Haloe walked over to the fire and threw her trophy on the ground and plopped next to it. She missed her dolls. This was bobo.
At least the fire was nice.
#mabisummerfest#i'm just so bad at writing#i'll just have to draw a picture when i get a new tablet i guess#that's it for haloe's summerfest activities#i guess.. LOL

[ In response to [x] ]
Laima walked over, placing her hand on Mistreil's shoulder. Backing off, the milletian girl watched as the two spoke to each other. She couldn't really make out the words, since they spoke quietly. Soon, Veinth moved his hand as if to pat the maid's head, and a glow of magic emanated around the two. Entranced by the light show, heard a raspy voice come from... below her?
"Oooh!!! Veinth magic!!" It came from a very familiar imp. Oh! Arcelle's prom date!
"U-Um... Hello! Waru, right?" Mistreil smiled, lifting him up. Waru stared at her, posing proudly (as he so often did).
"Ya!! Siren knows of great Waru? Keke!!" Laughing, he patted (or maybe lightly slapped) Mistreil's face.
"Y-Yes! I'm Mistreil, Arcelle's sister--"
Excitedly, the imp interjected, "Oh!!! Arcelle!! Big stinky Arcelle! I know her!!"
"Waru. If you're done, we're heading back." Incubus wings spread out from Veinth, who had finished his business with the maid. Quickly, Waru scampered onto the man, who simply bowed at the two girls and left.
'So he was an incubus...? I wonder what that magic was.' Waving goodbye to the flying duo, Mistreil watched as they ascended and exite the area.
"I just gave him some energy, that's all. He's an incubus, but not very incubus-like. Don't worry about it." Laima smiled, patting the girl on the head.
Nodding in response, the milletian continued to stare at the stars for a while. As much as she enjoyed the bustling events of the day, the peace and quiet was nice too.
Laima watched as well, before taking a seat and lightly tugging on Mistreil's yukata for her to sit too. While they would wait for the other half of their group to finish and meet up so they could head home, stargazing was pretty nice.
#mabisummerfest#i cant draw today so im just going to slam text here#wraps up mistreil and veinths summerfest hella#episode screen fades to black here as they watch the stars

Returning to his booth, he spotted an imp talking to Centri.
"-- And then succubus elf went to kiss Veinth!! It funny!!" Waru chuckled, to which Centrifugal smiled. Upon noticing Cyniel's presence, however, the smile quickly turned into an expression of panic.
'He came here and wanted to enter, but everything except the large items are already cleaned! He recognized my cloud form, and I thought I could keep him preoccupied until you could talk to him!' He signed frantically, hoping not to irritate the younger boy, 'Ah! And the dolls! They exploded or something-- The paper remains are under the desk!'
"... Ha... I get it, I get it," Cyniel sighed, walking over to the imp, now aware of the stand owner's presence, "You're a friend of Centri's?"
"Centri?? Who is Centri?? Oh! Cloud! Ya! Waru sees colourful cloud all the time!! Waru knows lots of people!"
"... I see!" Cyniel smiled, patting the imp, "I'm Cyniel! Centri's-- err-- Cloud's master! We can't let you play in the Wonderland because it's closed. Sorry, Waru!"
"Oh!! Okay!! I'm master too! Master of Veinth!! Cloud knows Veinth too--" A lot of words came from that tiny body. Of course, the same could be said of Cyniel.
"Wa~♥ Is that so? I see, I see!" The boy clapped his hands in agreement, helping the imp off the table, "I'll make sure to ask Cloud about Veinth, then! Because Masters should save their air, right? Why talk when your servants can, right?"
"Ya!! Oh!! Waru should find Veinth! He might be dead without Waru, hehe!" Snickering, the imp scurried away towards the incubus. After waving goodbye, Cyniel turned to face Centrifugal, an irate smile on his face.
"... Now that that's settled, let's finish cleaning up. ♥ You'll have to make lots of trips, since we're going to move the stuff there! Okay? ♥"
The cloud nodded, exiting his body to continue his clean up. Cyniel was clearly unhappy, and he didn't want to make it any worse.

And yet it still goes on
Response to X
Milreaf/ Lemmy(birdy): Milreaf also reunites with her bird. Her bird offers Giegue a wolf as a friend offering.
Hiro: On the lookout to scout for hurt people. (Thanks to Gie, for reminding me. So if anyone needs medical help, just... he's on the lookout now. )
---
Milreaf pushed Giegue a little too hard and the shorter girl fell promptly on her face. She suppressed a scream. Merdavi's fear of Giegue almost made her as fearful.
When the duo had finally arrived on the scene, she raced forward and pulled her pet's head close to her arms.
"Aww, you even gave him one of your home welcoming gifts~ Who is my good birdy? You are!" she continued to rub her ahead against his beak while the fireworks shot off.
"What a cute bird~ You must belong to uh… Milreaf, right~? Hehee~"
Lemmy cocked his head and approached Gie. Writing on the sand with his feet, he gently wrote in fine print:
"Are you...friend? Friend too?" Milreaf just gave him a look, it hadn't detailed anything really. But it was mostly sadness. Friends... she dind't have many, nevermind any that were female. Despite the fact she was fiercely afraid of men.
The bird gave out a shrill call and wrote underneath the first line.
"Yes, Milreaf is my owner. It's nice to meet you. My full name is Lemmykyun Macchiatonii. I'm named after her friend."
Reaching under his other wing, he pulled out a wolf, he brought it in front of Gie and dangled the wolf by its tail.
"Sorry, not as clean kill. Delicious."
Staring back at Mardi, Hiro thought that he looked rather peaceful. A few bloody wounds that he had to rechange, but it would prove to be fine.
Umbra had come earlier, and Lemmy had ran to get a bandaid from him. And a cardigan...for some reason. Seeing as how there might be many people who had gotten hurt from the dolls, not as if they warned them... There may be a few more hurt people.
The night was ending, but he didn't want to leave hurt people hurt. Taking the moment to check back on Mardi for one last time...he found there was nothing else to be done. Strolling down the area, he hadn't seen anyone who had to be helped just yet. Many surprised faces. But none so far...

The sounds of fireworks echoed around the incubus, who, after the third or fourth distant explosion, managed to open one eye to figure out whether they really were fireworks or if it was the sound of a gun. Soon after, he closed his eyes to rest again, though it wasn't long until someone interrupted it.
"U-Um... A-Are you okay?" A timid childish voice called out to him. The voice was familiar... It was the same as the one that mentioned Labentis earlier. Maybe if he just pretended to sleep, she would leave. He didn't want to deal with this.
"... Vei?" She called again. This time, his eyes opened. What a nostalgic nickname-- how did she even know it?
Groggily, he stared at the girl. For a brief moment, he saw the visage of an old... friend of his. But that was impossible. "How did you--"
"Long time no see, Veinth." The incubus turned his head to see a girl with rose tinted hair. He'd met Laima a few years ago, though seeing her again was unexpected. Well, the whole day was full of unexpected events.
"... Oh. Laima. I see. I'm fine. Just tired." For a while longer, Veinth stared at the red haired girl in front of him, "... By the way. You are...?"
"M-Mistreil. Sorry to have bothered you... Do you need me to get you anything...? Or.. uh... Should we just let you... rest...?"
She wasn't like Arlette at all. She was much too sheepish, whereas his friend was more... Bubbly. Still, he couldn't decide whether to just let her leave or to settle his curiousity by speaking to her. Thus, an awkward silence fell among them for a while.
#mabisummerfest#ill continue this some other time on ask mistreil#also lmao i forgot to fix some of the trees in the background oh well#what do you mean this isnt ask veinth

"What the hell is that supposed to be?" Cyniel muttered to himself. He was hiding behind a tree, eavesdropping on the two girls.
He didn't like any of what he heard. The stupid girl was altruistic, he knew that. She's happy sacrificing herself for others? She's happy when other people are happy? Even if she's miserable?
How stupid.
Laima, too, was stupid. Letting her think like that. Making it sound like that was okay. That it's a good thing, to sacrifice yourself. It was stupid.
"Ahh... And here I thought I could get along with Laima a little bit!" The boy whined, beginning his walk back to his booth. He had ditched it earlier, leaving it in the care of Centrifugal-- and thank god he left the dolls there, otherwise he'd have been found out.
'At this rate,' he thought to himself, 'she's going to be trampled on and miserable forever. That's not good! I'll have to take things into my own hands, I guess! But it'll be a while before I can do anything.'
#mabisummerfest#that is one lonely tree i forgot to draw the others LMAO#cyn walks from his booth to eavesdrop and then goes back he just likes getting mad

reply to: [x] and [x] (why am i replying to my own post idk) (also this is a huge ass post)
Byopia watched as the girl smiled slightly and tipped him with 50 gold. As she strolled away with the male, he sighed a bit. Even if he was just doing business, he did feel a bit bad that the cards didn't cooperate well this time.
"That makes 150 gold, plus 60 gold in tips, totaling at 210 gold," he mentally counted. "Of course I wouldn't expect much here, but it's better than nothing."
[this is a really long post, most of it is Umbra's fortune related to her backstory, so feel free to skip it if you want.
most important thing would be that Byopia's stand is closing. thanks to those who did participate!!]
Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed the doll of a girl with long, pinkish hair he received was shaking violently. He didn't want to risk any injuries and scooted back a bit to watch it finally launch into the air, and explode into a firework and bits of doll stuffing.
A small piece of paper drifted down, and he grabbed it.
"Better luck next time…"
Huh. The hosts did mention a raffle. He shrugged and let the paper drop down to the sand. [BYOPIA IS GONNA BURN FOR LITTERING]
He laid his head back down on the table, watching some of the other hosts dismantle their booths. He didn't feel like leaving yet, in hopes of some last minute customer.
As he closed his eyes, he heard the slight clinking of coins hitting each other, and quickly stood up, looking to see any customers.
"...Umbra, why are you wearing a mask?" he asked, after recognizing the green hair and pale green yukata.
"It reminded me of something," she replied curtly, slamming down 50 gold on the table.
He stared at the money, not believing that she actually did come to get her fortune told.
"Oh, I was kidding about getting your fortune told. Haahahah."
"Doesn't matter. I've been wondering about some things for a while."
"Hm, alright. Also, you forgot to get me food."
"I told you to get it yourself."
He scoffed a bit, feeling like Umbra was acting a bit differently.
"What's your question?" he prodded.
She pursed her lips, staring at the ocean past Byopia's head for a bit, then looked back at the table and replied, "...I've been having dreams lately, of a boy with horns and blue hair. He whispers my name and in the end, he's bleeding everywhere and yelling at me. I want to know more about this dream."
Upon hearing the question, Byopia's curiosity was piqued, but he didn't make any attempt to pry.
He shuffled the cards multiple times, then laid three cards out in a straight line.
He took the left-most card and flipped it over.
"The knight of wands, in its normal position."
"The dream indicates a new path has opened up in your life. You are to show no fear, but you may be too impulsive."
He shifted his hand to the right, flipping over the card in the middle.
"The two of swords, in its normal position."
"Something you can learn from this dream is the ability to make decisions. You need to learn to push aside possibilities you can't fathom and make difficult decisions."
His hand moved to the last card, the one on the far right, and turned it over.
"The Tower, in its inverted position."
"Oh my. The worst card in the deck has appeared," Byopia lamented. "Anyways, how should you apply your dreams to your life? It shows that you have a fear of change and you are caught in a bad situation. You are being blamed for something you didn't do, but you must face these allegations. I'm afraid there's not much you can do, but hope for the best."
He gathered up the cards together and spliced them into the deck, and set the deck aside.
"Basically, a new journey is ready for you. You are going to have to learn to make decisions, whether you like it or not, and in the end, you are being blamed for something you didn't do, but you can't idly let yourself be blamed. However, there is not much you can do in the end, as some factors are out of your control."
He gathered the 50 gold on the table and bent down to store them in the box, and emerged again.
Umbra didn't move.
"...Did something happen, Umbra?"
Byopia remained serious instead of casting off his professional appearance. He was concerned about his friend, after all.
"It's nothing," she shrugged off, dropping another 50 gold into the tip jar.
Byopia, deciding that he was not in the position to pry, looked around to see many of the booths empty, and people starting to head home.
"I'm going to start packing up the stuff, since I don't think anyone else is going to come. It's kinda late anyway," Byopia commented casually to dismiss the tense air. "Help me, alright?"
Umbra shrugged and replied with a, "I guess since there's nothing else to do" and dismantled Byopia's sign.
That's 310 gold from tonight.
