Lately, Mason’s been practicing his general magic without the need for his amulet and he’s learned how to mostly enter and exit the Mindscape when he’s deep in meditation. Or, when he’s deep in sleep.

And tonight’s venture into the Mindscape involves some... Accidental universal travel into the other one. He takes one step into this bright, overly cheerful dream that someone else is having and he has to adjust his eyes as he looks around quietly. Is this Hell? A form of Hell?

Ah, summer. A time for nightmares, trauma, and taking ’er easy! It was high time that he let his old friends the Pines know he was back, and what better place to start then with Mable? No doubt she’d let the others know once this was all over, like a messenger returning from a battlefield massacre. Not to mention ruining an especially mushy dream was a perfect way to make an entrance!

“HEY THERE, SHOOTING STAR! LONG TIME, NO FALL!” The fire spread around them, twisting the pristine field into something altogether more nightmarish and surreal. The overwhelming scent of flames and burning earth was all consuming...

“FOR THE RECORD, SIXER DID THE THREAT BETTER. YOU CAN ASK HIM FOR POINTERS IF THIS NIGHTMARE DOESN‘T PUT YOU IN A COMMA AFTERWARDS! AHAHAHAHA!”

“... You dress like Paz, other Mabel.” Mace notes softly. 

Oh... Right... Such a comment would confuse... He fixes his posture and stands upright. Trying to hide the dorky undertones of his personality. Wow... So similar to Dipper Pines in that sense.

“Er... Apologies, I forgot of the possibility that the Pacifica present here isn’t the same as what I’m used to. She always finds ways to stalk and obsess over me whenever I find the quiet free time between the job and the... other work involved.” 

He pauses. Realizing he’s not answered the question.

“I... am unsure. I was pretty sure I was headed out of the study room, but must have ended up here through some glitched wormhole that was invisible to the Naked Eye.”

His smart terminology he uses in his verbal sentences, suggests he’s rather intelligent... Or maybe he’s like Gideon Gleeful? If that were so, he’d be obsessive and cocky. He seems more dorkish than cocky... Or maybe he’s just that good with words and first introductions...

Oh, no.

That awkward pause confirms this Dipper’s about as socially awkward as Dipper Pines is. 

“... Do you also have a Waddles, I wonder?” he seems deep in thought, lost in his own thought process. “Our Waddles is tolerable but I suppose he’s cute and clever too like my sister always compliments him with whenever I see her play with him.” 

Hmmm... That amulet on that brooch he wears as a necktie looks an awfully like the mystical amulet that Gideon had... Is he... A scam like Gideon, as well? 

Mason looks this Mabel up and down quietly before he finally decides to speak up. "... Oh, uhm. Are you, by chance... My sister's counterpart? Mabel Pines or something?" (( @your-pain-is-my-amusement ))

She looked at the splitting image of her brother and wondered how many other of her and her brother there were.

“If you’re thinking I’m your sister’s counterpart, then that would make you Dipper’s alternative self.”

She looked at him, noting the fact that he dressed more like Gideon than her brother, how there seemed to be a chill in the air around him.

“How did you get here?”

"Hmph. That still doesn't change what happened." The celebrity huffed. Moving an arm to her hip. Staring down at her counterpart with ice blue eyes. "But... I haven't really gotten the chance to talk with you either. Have I? I suppose I can spare a little of my time to try and figure this out."

Stomp. Stomp. Bill's multiple limbs brushed aside and crushed things as they moved. His color scheme was red and black instead of the usual gold. Including his eye. The other remained black however as it had been damaged. The demon tended to be more feral in this form. Sometimes he had control depending whether or not Bill had been enraged prior to transforming.

He clawed at a creature that had scurried by. Desperately hiding in the first hole it found. Which caused the large demon to slash at it in frustration.

Mason eyes this Mabel up and down quietly. Then, after a few moments of processing her appearance, he scoffs and shakes his head.

“Dearest Mabel, don’t you ever miss your old lifestyle? Before having your brain be washed like this all for your ‘Lord’ Cipher?”

Despite working alongside the notorious demon, even the self-acclaimed evil Mason can see through his tomfuckery and doesn’t really... Like the demon per say. But, he still assists with brainwashing whoever the demon asks him to.

He boops Mabel to see if she’ll react to physical touch. Now bored with how blind she is to the situation she’s in.

Mabel took a breath, grounding herself and using the lessons Ford had taught her. This was her mind, and although Bill was warping her dream, she still had some control.

“It has been a long time, though not long enough. I’m not the little girl I was all those years ago, I’ve grown.”

Mabel took a step forward, clenching her fists tight and trusting herself. Bill was going to be in for a shock when he saw how good she was now.

“What do you want, Cipher? And I’m not interested in any game.”

Of course, Bill wasn’t a pushover. He’s every bit as powerful as he was back then, and no less cunning. If it was a fight she wanted then she was going to be in for one. Bill wasn’t one to let an opportunity slip by him, however. 

Might as well be kind before being cruel.

Unfortunately, that question can only be answered with the conclusion that this Dipper is that of a Gleeful, and that means he is a threat to Mabel.

An enemy. The antagonist.

But not from the ‘One Of Us’ verse, sadly. He’s just from the exact flip-flop of this universe, where the roles for everyone is swapped. This, of course; leaves room for self-improvement if one were to look deep enough into his personality past the magic amulet and the cocky attitude he feigns normally around the public eye. 

Honestly, in private... He’s a very shy individual. A bookworm, even. His sister sometimes scares him with her sadistic side when they’re interacting with William, but a torture session hasn’t happened in a while. Dipper has been... Busy. Trying to find out what each cipher in the journals mean, and his sister’s been busy fawning over her Gideon as a result. Keeping the Twins busy means that Will is left mostly... Unharmed... But then you remember that their Ford is a little bit of an asshole. Oof. Maybe ‘a little bit’ is an overstatement. The guy can easily manipulate you into his little game of chess he plays with his family assumably. Anyone involved with the Gleefuls are usually either missing after a certain time period or just... Pulled into involuntarily working for or with them.

Once the two reach the Shack in this universe, it seems like the gnome monster runs away upon seeing the leaf blower leaned up against one of the outer walls. The Gleeful though just... Trips on his cape in front of the Mystery Shack and faceplants in the mud. Dork. “Oof!”

Mason looks this Mabel up and down quietly before he finally decides to speak up. "... Oh, uhm. Are you, by chance... My sister's counterpart? Mabel Pines or something?" (( @your-pain-is-my-amusement ))

“If you’re thinking I’m your sister’s counterpart, then that would make you Dipper’s alternative self.”

She looked at him, noting the fact that he dressed more like Gideon than her brother, how there seemed to be a chill in the air around him.

“How did you get here?”
