In his review for The Armory Life, Dr. Will Dabbs evaluates two holsters from 1791 Gunleather: the M1916 G.I. Hip Holster and the M3 Tanker Holster. Both holsters, made from premium American steerhide, are praised for their craftsmanship and durability, surpassing the quality of original G.I. issued gear. Dabbs shares a personal anecdote about his wife's grandfather, a World War II veteran, who fashioned a Plexiglas grip from a German plane and carried his M1911 in a leather M3 Tanker holster throughout the war. Dabbs compares modern Kydex holsters to the more artisanal approach of 1791 Gunleather, underscoring the emotional and historical significance of leather holsters. when dean winchesters custom Colt M1911A1 is turned human by the hands of a witch.

to her surprise—and his—she emerged from smoke after being tossed away carelessly by the witch. the only thing adorning her body was cowboy boots, and a white top; lace panties covering your bottom half.

the witch was killed and she was taken back to the bunker, hand prints were engraved into her thighs—due to how much dean would use his gun back when she wasn't human. she would find herself tracing along them when zoned out: subconsciously.

that woman could hit any target perfectly, yet couldn't tie her own shoes for the life of her—not that she wanted to learn, she just wants to wear her boots! somehow she always has ammo on her, whether it be witch killing bullets or ones engraved with devils traps.

when she saw dean ordering a coke once, she had to try it and now it has to be accessible for her at all times or she will have a fit; then stay mad at the boys until one of them gets it for her (usually dean).

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : when she became human, obviously she had no name. for the longest time sam and dean just called her colt, which she felt was rude because she was not the colt, she was the Colt M1911A1: deans prized gun—so, she yelled at them to call her cali (short for caliber).

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : cali came with bracelets adorning her wrists and handprints littering her inner thighs from how much dean had used her. deans favorite thing was to trace along them as he drove, or grabbing her wrist and admiring his name that was permanently stuck there—showing everyone she was his. she'd find herself subconsciously tracing along them as well: whenever she was nervous, scared, or just zoned out.

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : there was one time dean had attempted to get cali to wear shoes other then boots and she threw a fit—literally.

"dean, i am not wearing those ugly things! get them away from me!" cali shouted, her hands swatting at dean. her voice boomed throughout the store; she had no social awareness at all. she used to be a gun for gods sake! those things were made to be loud and proud. safe to say dean lost that battle.

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : the first time dean took cali to one of his favorite diners she was absolutely disgusted by his eating habits, she physically repulsed when he tried to touch her with his greasy fingers; just like he used to when she was a gun. but now as a human she could move away from his touch whenever she wanted—he traumatized her. because of this, she is not fond of greasy food, instead she eats similar to sam. she does enjoy a burger once in a while, never how dean eats his though.

"you disgust me, dean." cali scowled as she plopped a fry into her mouth and took a sip of her coke. she may not drink the healthiest drinks, but at least she wasn't going to die early—not that she could—of a heart attack. dean just gave her a smile and attempted to touch her leg with his finger, annoying her further.

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : dean took cali to a shooting range once, he didn't know if she really knew how to shoot a gun even if she used to be one. the men around just snickered and made the assumption that she didn't know jack about guns. seeing as she was just a pretty little thing dressed in boots and a white flowy dress—something dean had gotten her as a present that she really ended up liking. so, she did what any girl would do, she showed them why they shouldn't underestimate someone just by their gender. she muttered little 'pew pews' under her breath as she hit every shot dead on. even going as far as pretending to blow away the smoke like they did in old western movies; ones that she remembered dean watching.

℧ . gun .ᐟ reader : cali always has her hand in deans back pocket or somewhere on his jeans due to the fact that when she was a gun she'd always been tucked into the waistband of his jean/pants. at first dean was a bit weirded out by it, but when she gave him the puppy-eyes he couldn't tell her no. however, any man/woman that had ever held her before—sam, or another hunter dean let borrow her—she tried to do the same to.
