Memphis was in over their head. They hadn’t been home in over 5 years, and they left on not the best terms either. They didn’t say goodbye to a single soul, nor did they really want to either. Phi’s mother had kicked them out without a second thought and they knew that in that moment this wasn’t home anymore so they took off for the east coast.
Memphis swore up and down to never return. Unfortunately tragedy struck and Memphis’s sister was killed, and the one person that would ever bring them home was her. They packed up a small suit case, and headed off back home. Small towns were really never their strong suit but they headed to the local diner, plopped down and pulled out their sketch book and drew until someone walked up. Without even looking up, “A Coke please.” A barely audible voice left their mouth, something however told them to look up. “Shit.” Was all they could say.

Memphis thought long and hard at the moment happening in front of them. She was here, truly talking to them and not caring that they could barely string two words together without sounding incompetent. “Is it working?” He actually let a small smile curl up on his lips as it faded quickly as they looked back up at Andi. They took a deep breath as they listened to Her speak; their breath holding on every word. They could do this, they could spend time with someone—out side of Graham. They weren’t trapped anywhere, they weren’t being forced to do this; this was just…milkshakes. “No—No it’s definitely on me.” They said nothing in regards to opening up to the right person. “I know a good milkshake place up the road.” His voice fighting to stay above a whisper, this was the most they had spoken in…longer than they cared to admit.
Andi was the type of girl that when she saw something she wanted, didn't stop until she got told to fuck off and in the case of Memphis, there was this immediate pull towards them that she still wasn't quite sure exactly what it was. All she knew was that she had to try. "Ah, you're going to tell me that so you hope I change my mind aren't ya Memphis?" She grinned, tilting her head before getting up and sticking her hands into the back pockets of her jeans. "You just haven't met the right person to come out of your shell for, that's all. And yah, now sounds perfect, I'll even buy them for us."

Memphis stared at the other; their blue and brown speckled eyes looked up softly, a gentle smile grew on their face as they connected with Nevada. “It’s beautiful.” Their voice croaked softly as they examined this flower that the other had given to them. Memphis let a small awkward smile grow even bigger in their face, though it still somehow looked out of place. “I-I never really got to explore much…nature. Tell me about places you’ve seen?”

"I thought you'd like this." Nevada says, holding out the strange, mottled flower he'd found on his walk. It was stood out so plainly among the other flowers that Nevada had slowed to a stop just to look at it. He was given permission to take it with him by the owner of the plant who, for some reason, didn't like the aesthetic of the spattered petals among the otherwise pristine bush. "Unique, huh? Nature is full of fun little surprises."

@atrickrtreat sent ❛ Tell me you don't want me. I dare you. ❜ (memphis/andi)
Memphis stood there, their heart racing; ready to beat out their chest. It was true, since the two had met the connection between them was unmatched. There was always something there that made memphis feel safe, and Andi was that person for them. Words though never really comfortable to them, a surge of something ran through him. "I-I...I don't.." Memphis muttered out trying to figure out what exactly it was they were feeling, but everything stopped for memphis as they channeled this inner confidence that so many people had been helping memphis muster, and leaned in and gently placed his lips upon Andi's lips. This was what they wanted to do for so long and they were ready for this now.

football players defending other players that are rapists is not something that should happen in 2023 but here we are how are they not embarrassed
#seeing memphis depay’s post about m*ndy….#like yeah he was proven not guilty but that doesn’t mean he’s innocent#so many victims of rape never get the justice because of lack of evidence#and when someone is being accused of rape by 13 different women that’s not something to brush under the rug#men gets away with everything while women still have to fight for their rights#tw rape

Memphis swallowed hard as Indiana spoke to them, their palms were sweaty and they quickly threw them into their pockets to try to hide that they were. “I—I..” Memphis attempted to mutter out, the male had selective mutism on a good day and when called out for something that made Memphis shut down more than they’d like to admit. He channeled his inner thoughts and closed his eyes for a moment before locking eyes with Indiana. “I was—I was just gonna ask if…you’d want to go for food.” Memphis said just above a whisper, he had been encouraged by a few of his..friends to get out in the world a bit more.

"The only time you talk to me is when you need something." Indiana says, jerking his head upward to look at Memphis from his own seated position. It's how it's always been though, isn't it? People always take and take from givers until there's nothing left. Well, Indy's been a dry husk for a long time. He scrunches up his face a little, sighs. "What can I do?"
