Today's poetry choice is a bit different, as it's not technically a children's book! However, my own dad started reading to me from "A Book of Bosh: Lyrics and Prose of Edward Lear (chosen by Brian Alderson)" (1975) when I was very young, and it has been a treasured part of my collection for many years. I love the idea of introducing kids to wordplay and language that are simultaneously challenging and accessible via humour.
