#10 for the Harringrove ask! What is one of your favorite Harringrove fanworks of all time? (fanfic, fanart, fanvids, meta, etc.) It can be your own works or anyone you like :)

Oh there are so many to choose from. This fandom is full of talented people, and I hope that never changes. I'm a little biased about this because when I first started shipping Billy & Steve I asked a friend IRL to send me her favorites. That first half dozen or so of fics I read are still my favorites today lol and some of their authors I would swear by, they're just always that good. They are: lymricks, Pondermoniums, and harringroveheart.

Seventh Inning Stretch by jill_ian on A03 is one series I have to shout out because it's my most reread according to A03. It does the rivals to lovers part of Harringrove so damn well. I love how they capture the characters and their romantic arc just feels so real, you could call down to the dorm and one of them would pick up. Plus it's a baseball au so *chefs kiss*. I'm not sure if the author has a tumblr otherwise I'd tag, but there you have it.

9. Recommend something that you really enjoyed in 2020.

(I’m tagging a few authors in this answer, please feel free to ignore me! I just want to gush about your amazing works).

This is tough! I enjoyed so many things!! Especially if we’re talking fanfic, since 2020 is when I got into Harringrove and have read so many excellent fics in it.

Soooo…. I guess the first fic I read that got me into the fandom was dried up, half full by @lymricks. I think I’ve read that fic at least ten times. But really, anything by her is amazing. Also, I absolutely adore when the bones are good by @un-buttoned. Again, everything I’ve read by her is fantastic! But there are so many good writers in this fandom – everything I’ve read by @passivenovember, I’ve loved. In 2021, I’m planning on reading As certain dark things are to be loved by @thursday-knight, which I’ve heard absolutely amazing things about!! I’ve read way shorter fics by him and they’ve all been amazing. 

For Teen Wolf, anything by @eneiryu . I found their fics after I finished season 6 and have read almost all of them. But I started with i know all sorts of things i don't believe and have read it at least three times. Their characterization and plot is just phenomenal. Also, the way they just publish 50k+ fics all at once is so amazing. 

I only recently started reading Black Sails fics and I’ve really enjoyed so many. But I loved the straight walk home by @vowel-in-thug. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by them, but I just love the au they created for this fic.

14. What do you want to do more of next year?

I already answered this one! But there are so many things I want to do more of in 2021 that I’ll answer again. I’d like to be more active on tumblr – sharing headcanons and snippets. I’m really shy and introverted, so I’d like to try to push myself outside of my comfort zone.

what surprised you the most this year?

I think I was surprised to learn that over the years of me saying that I could never see my relationship with my ex ending, that in fact, it was well past time for me to end it. It took two fights and the approach (and retreat -- I think the approach/retreat action left me more shaken than anything) of a hard boundary for it to happen. I honest to god thought I would spend the rest of my life with him. The biggest surprise was knowing that that wasn’t going to happen and realizing that just because someone loves and adores you is not enough of a reason to stay.

That I continue to find my own self-worth and live my best life as I find out who I am on my own, and grow as a person. I’d love to travel again next year post-vaccine. I was supposed to go to NYC in March, LA in April, and Ireland in June and all of that was derailed by covid, lol. So I hope my traveling ways will continue.
