memory loss pretty please
Ah hold on we got a straggler...
Pinned as he was, Madara claims he could tell that it wasn't a taunt. The demand for an explanation of what he was doing in their territory had been answered with "I do not know. To be more specific: I forgot." And things only spiraled from there. He claims not to know his name, nor his clan, nor his profession -- "though I figured it was something violent, considering the state I woke up in." He claimed to be heading in the direction he was because he had a vague feeling it was where he needed to be going.

A Storm Sweeps Out to Sea, In the Corner of Another Room, and Trust in Reverse please !!
🚨🚨watch out boys we got a tobiizu situation on our hands🚨🚨
A Storm Sweeps Out to Sea
Gull is an medic and a long distance fighter who has good aim with knives and even better with a bow. Octopus an infiltrator and poisons specialist. Lionfish a taijutsu specialist -- they refer to themselves as a brawler. Crane offers 'kenjutsu and ninjutsu' as his specialties, and nothing more. "And would it be rude of me to assume that you all have some knowledge of funinjutsu, considering your origins?" Izuna says it dryly, he can count no less than ten seals between the four of them, and those are just what are obviously visible.
In the Corner of Another Room
As if Izuna would ever let them get away again -- but he doesn't want them to run in the first place so he stays still and does not rise from his crouch, eyes drinking in the sight. The trouble with the outfit that covers so much is that Izuna cannot know for sure if he's found who he's after. Which is the point, he knows. It just forces him to take a deep breath and ask with forced steadiness, "If you really are Shiro, I have no quarrel with you." The person tilts their head, like -- it's him, it really has to be -- and says in that strange echoing voice, "Do you really not know?"
Trust in Reverse
Normal circumstances have long since passed them by. Izuna knows he can trust Hikaku to be professional in the face of all this, and has none to spare for Touka Senju, who walks away from them with an expression that makes it look like she would rather be anywhere else. "Ah, ah, don't worry!" Hashirama blusters when he gets a look at his and Madara's faces. "She always looks like that." "Must run in the family." Izuna snaps back, expecting to be glared at, or ignored. But instead Tobirama snorts and Hashirama shoots his brother a look that speaks to a conversation that's been had before. Neither of them comment further and Izuna is filled with the unease that's plagued him these days, when Tobirama acts in a way he hadn't predicted.

Go write 100 words of: Hand over Hand Over Hand and Desert Spring
HOHOH
"Hold on." The alpha calls, "Don't go hiding away in your room just yet. I'll give you a pass while you're in heat, but we agreed to once a day, remember?" Tobirama freezes in place, turns slowly to face his mate again. Rather than the blank look Hikaku had been expecting to see, the omega wears a petulant frown. "Fine." He snaps. "But get on with it." Madara doesn't hesitate at all, crossing the room in two long steps and making Tobirama rock back on his heels with the force Madara headbutts him with.
Desert Spring
Between his head covering and the eyepatch it's difficult to read his face, but Tobirama gets the impression of a raised eyebrow. "They all have knives, but you don't see them waving them around. We warn them about dangerous things." "Obviously. But isn't this a bit…" He huffs, shakes his head. "It just seems undisciplined to me." Which earns him a long silent look before Masuga answers, "Children are not often known for their discipline." Like it's self-explanatory. It's clearly some kind of cultural difference. Tobirama shuts his mouth before he can embarrass himself further.

The Easter bunny was super cautious when he hid the eggs in the corner of another room, but calamity! He forgot which one!
He frantically hopped from room to room, but found only junk: wood, tar (how horribly sticky), charcoal (attempted arson??), ginger and honey, of all things. What a stressful day for such a small rabbit...
He can't find the egg because i took it and put it in a carton. I can't deny a free egg in this economy.
In the corner of another room
It's the husband that's directing Shiro this time, and he doesn't seem nearly as unhappy about the stranger in his inn as Izuna suspected he would. The free labor is probably helping -- once he's moved the crates, the owner hands the ninja a set of tools and points him at a roof beam that needs replacing: much easier to do with chakra to stick to the roof above. From where he stands Izuna can occasionally hear the threads of a pleasant, if banal conversation. The inn owner going on about the weather and Shiro apparently paying enough attention to him to ask a question now and again
Wood tar, charcoal, ginger, and honey
Tobirama tilts his head back, the long line of his throat bared at he rocks his head from side to side to ease the tension that's built in his shoulders. "There is always the chance of a complication I haven't predicted, but as it is there is only so much more that I can do without rest, and none of it safely. Wherever you plan to have me sleep, I suggest it be nearby in case of an emergency." Madara hesitates. He hadn't even considered it. In his mind Tobirama would heal Izuna or die, with no lingering to be done in between.

Go write 100 words of: A Storm Sweeps Out to Sea/The Wind Brings it Back to Me and The Necromancer's Apprentice
A storm sweeps out to sea
He takes them to a tiny building. A gardening shack, on the surface, as hilariously pointless as the idea is here. But under one of the shelves is a hidden trap door with stairs that go down to a winding tunnel system. Izuna doesn't deactivate any of the wards of them as they follow, but none of them get lost, staying close behind him like little ducklings. Eh, well that's the least he should expect from a bunch of Uzu's most elite. The room he takes them too is large and empty, with doton smoothed floors and walls and a single row of electric lights that leave the edges of the room in shadow.
The Necromancer's Apprentice
"Then you are lucky to be a student of mine. But that will be a topic for another day, we'll focus on the basics for now. Tell me, do you know how to meditate?" Kagami is too stunned to do anything but shake his head, and he doesn't get in trouble for that either. Tobirama Senju, the man who raises the dead and terrorizes all of Fire Country gestures for him to sit down so that he can show him how. Kagami's heart thumps in his chest -- still alive! -- and he starts believe that maybe he'll get the chance to make someone proud after all.

domoz maybe i please have some more hanahaki adjacent? and maybe some of tobirama's courtesan acquaintance, because i feel bad for her as she rifles her things...
Many flowers abound, if you think about it
Hanahaki Adjacent
Izuna smirks, bows and presents one of the fish to Hiran in a way that is probably meant to be polite. Hiran huffs, cranes her neck forward, and snatches it out of his hand to  swallow, bones and all. His smile freezes in place, eyes darting towards Tobirama like he has anything to do with that. Tobirama can feel his chakra ripple with… Some kind of subtle emotion, based on his face it might be discomfort. "I've stabilized" Tobirama says instead of addressing any of that. "We should be able to move as soon as we've finished eating." "Hm." Izuna answers. When he moves to start cooking, he takes his time.
Tobirama buys a courtesan
The bundle of clothes she tosses on the bed is larger than what she leaves behind, and she wars with guilt for a moment. Not for the loss to the brothel, but Konoe has just grown into these, and Mayuzumi has borrowed the furisode more than once… "Is that it?" Tobirama's voice comes from behind her. Yugiri squeaks and doesn't dare move as those eyes dart from her chosen garments to the closet and around the room again. "Hm. Well, we can get you some more practical clothes once we arrive." She doesn't dare ask what he means by that. In her profession a collar low enough to show off the nape is practical.

Hmm... AU where Airplane dies some amount of time before Cucumber does.
At one point he wrote a (joke!) will that, among other things, said that his laptop and unfinished drafts should go to his "biggest fan", Peerless Cucumber. Because no one else actually wants to take his things, Cucumber actually gets contacted and asks if he wants it and. Says yes. It's insane but also kind of really sad, and they're going to trash it all if he doesn't take it.
And learns not only a significant amount about the unposted drafts that he's about to transmigrate into, but also a lot (...an uncomfortable amount) about Airplane as a person.

Go write 100 words of: Hand over Hand Over Hand and Desert Spring
HOHOH
Hikaku nods, but his thoughts whirl on -- surely he can do better than last time? He can bring some nesting material along, at least, and more to read, and some other snack or drink to chase what Tobirama had implied was an awful tasting medicinal brew. Even with the advanced warning, it still seems to come on faster than any of them expect. By the end of the evening the soft mineral smell that Hikaku thinks must signal Tobirama's oncoming heat seams to coat the room. The man actually fidgets as he works, one hand coming up rest on the side of his neck, fingers pressing into the tendons there with enough force to dent the flesh.
Desert Spring
Tobirama watches and waits when it happens, waiting for someone to come scold them, not certain if he has the authority to do it himself. It does happen, sometimes, but for rowdiness or causing a distraction, not misusing their chakra, or for treating a jutsu like a toy. It's Masuga who catches him frowning. One of the children Tobirama is watching shriek and run through the grass is apparently his daughter. "Problem?" He asks. Tobirama isn't sure if there is or not. "That jutsu…" He answers slowly, "It isn't dangerous, but others they learn will be. Is it really alright to let them run around like that?"

An indistinct shopping list scribbled in a shaky hand on the back of an antiquated Blockbuster receipt:
Wood Tar Charcoal Ginger Honey
(and if you could, please also write 100 words of everybody lives)
I arrive with a shopping bag full of poison remedy 20 years too late... will everyone live??? Wood Tar, Charcoal, Ginger, and Honey
And that is how it goes. Each new round of whatever treatment this is takes longer than the last. Eight hours in Tobirama reaches for the his pouch to take a chakra replenishing pill, then goes on to continue the treatment as though it's nothing, like doing so wouldn't have wildly disrupted his chakra control. By the time he pulls the final strand of water free and sits back on his haunches the sun has long since set -- he ignored Madara as he went around placing lanterns in the room. He didn't ask for any light at all. One pale hand comes up to wipe at his brow
Everyone Lives
He kneels down without looking away, the hand he'd used to gesture before brushing over the ground, and another seal blooms from his fingers, this one monstrously more complicated. The Senju doesn't hesitate a moment before grabbing the edge of the futon Togakushi sleeps on and dragging it over to cover the mark. That's it? Togakushi thinks. It's that easy? It can't be, but he doesn't dare voice it, not when agreement can still be rescinded. It's fine, he tells himself, I'll let him take me to fire country before I kill him and bolt. And until then, he really doesn't mind spilling every secret about this clan that he has -- after all the faster negations end, the faster the Senju can go.

Go write 100 words of: The Senju Ghost and Unnamed #9 (Tobirama buys a courtesan)
The Senju Ghost
There are more splatters of blood on the far end of the alley, a smear where some wound was dragged against the stone, and if he follows it the next steps are obvious enough. There's a thin space between the inn and the building it's backed up to, just wide enough that if Izuna turns to his side he can sidestep through the gap. On the other side is an overgrown courtyard, penned in on four sides by buildings on every side. The grass and weeds are nearly up to his thighs, streaked with more blood, and Izuna takes care to skirt around the edge as he circles the perimeter.
Tobirama buys a courtesan
"You'll know better than I which clothes you should bring." Tobirama says as he works. "Go pick them out." Right, sure. Yugiri wanders over to her closet and stares at all of the hanging clothes for a long minute before she's able to make herself move. Most of the clothes inside were bought with the brothel's money, they don't strictly belong to her but… Well the brothel just made a big sale didn't it? And it doesn't seem as though transporting them will be an issue Minori can stand to part with a few nice kimonos for the trouble.

Today I've been thinking about… a Shang Bros AU.
Original SQH is like, 10 years old, his little brother (Airplane) is like, 4. They're the sons of a concubine in a rather cutthroat palace and get to witness the joys of their mother being assassinated/bullied/poisoned/etc to death. She knows that there won't be anyone left to protect them from a worse fate, so she tells OG!SQH to take his brother and run.
While on the road OG!SQH gets the advice that he should head for CQMS: even if they don't accept him as a cultivator, An Ding is always looking to hire on laborers. So, he starts making the journey -- not an easy thing for a 10 year old with his toddler brother, but…
Well, Airplane is a Suspiciously Well Behaved 4 year old, who somehow knows which flowers growing on the side of the road people will buy for money and doesn't cry as much as OG!SQH thinks a 4 year old probably should?? Not that he's complaining but he's not sure if it's something he should be worried about.
This is because Airplane is convinced that one of them is fated to die to further the other's Tragic Backstory, and he doesn't know who. (The system tells him he's Shang Fei, Brother of Shang Hua, Future An Ding Peak Lord WHICH DOES NOT ACTUALLY CLARIFY WHICH OF THEM IS GOING TO BE THE PEAK LORD, THANKS!!!) He's trying very hard to be useful so that his brother won't feel the need to discard and/or betray him, in case OG!SQH ends up being the traitor peak lord, while at the same time trying not to get attached in case HE becomes the peak lord instead.
(He's failing at not getting attached, btw. OG!SQH is very serious about taking care of his baby brother and this is the most Airplane has had a family member care about him in two lives)
At some point OG!SQH realizes that part of the reason his brother is so quiet is because he's So Fucking Scared All The Time, and because he's a baby and not great at keeping secrets Airplane absolutely says something vaguely ominous about how he thinks one of them is going to die. He DOES manage to keep from saying how he knows (he throws a tantrum about how "he just knows!!") but combined with his other behaviors OG!SQH thinks he has, like, a seer, or a reborn heavenly official or SOMETHING on his hands and gets even more protective of his little brother.
Eventually they get to CQMS, but Airplane is too young to take the entrance test and OG!SQH isn't willing to leave his little brother behind. It's not like he's the first kid who's tried to enter while caring for someone younger, but the current peak lords have seen every sob story in the book so it doesn't phase any of them. But one of the peak lords does approach and ask if OG!SQH knows that in order to become a cultivator he has to give up all of his Worldly Attachments (gestures at Airplane). Airplane knows this is bullshit but he's also braced for this worst because it WOULD be a very thematic way for OG!SQH to enter the sect while rubbing in his scummyness -- but instead OG!SQH refuses, leaves his half-dug hole (assuming that he's already failed the test), walks up to whatever An Ding representative is present, and asks for a job as a laborer instead.
An Ding usually waits till the end of disciple selection and scoops up anyone who was dedicated enough to make it to the end (either as an outer disciple or as a laborer/some other job), so if he'd stayed around they probably would have taken him anyways. Now that he's made a big fuss he gets questioned on to what he can do. OG!SQH immediately starts trying to bullshit a resume -- it's not so convincing at 10 years old, but it holds promise! Then they ask what Airplane can do, and he panics about getting left behind he tells them that he already knows how to read and write!! He even knows how to do math!!!!
Whoops, now he's just outed himself as a Genius Baby, and An Ding scoops him up before anyone else notices. Still just as laborers, but An Ding actually has a path for workers to become outer disciples if their spiritual veins are developed enough, so the Shang brothers get ushered up the mountain in pretty quick order. Part of this process probably involves "can you scheme enough to get a cultivation guide from someone?" but OG!SQH is more than up to the task and gets made an outer disciple in a few years. (This is not really any better than being a general laborer, living situation-wise).
Airplane is very nervous about all the attention that he's brought upon himself, somewhat for the sake of it but also because he knows that part of the OG!SQHs motivation for betraying the sect was that he felt like no one respected him, and him taking the spotlight from his brother is probably making that problem worse. He's trapped now, though. He's An Ding's favorite little boss baby. Look at him! So cute!! He already knows how to calculate taxes!!
Airplane starts cultivation training + becomes a disciple younger than he should half because his brother just brings him along to inner disciple things sometimes, and he's mentally old enough to learn from it. And half because someone thought "wouldn't it be cute if we put boss baby in a baby An Ding Uniform" and once he has that Airplane is able just pretend that he's supposed to be places and doesn't get stopped.
So they live like that for a while, the experience still isn't great, but OG!SQH is having a slightly better time of it than he did in canon because his brother is there, and Airplane's baby energy offsets other people's instant dislike of him. (OG!SQH is the only one who realizes how much of his brother's crybaby behavior is an act. He coaches him on how to do it, in fact). Not that they don't both get pretty seriously bullied at points. And then… the MBH mission happens.
Someone tells Airplane that the mission his brother had gone out on has been attacked, no survivors, and he freaks the fuck out -- is this the tragic backstory he'd been waiting to happen?? And then OG!SQH is brought back, and spins his bullshit (much better than it was at age 10!) story about being the sole survivor of an attack by an ice demon, and Airplane Just Knows. He knows double for sure when it becomes obvious how OG!SQH is trying to pull away from him to facilitate demon spying.
On the one hand: man what the hell! Did he do such a bad job as a brother that OG!SQH still wants to betray humanity!! (Though, he really never did write how that relationship formed… Maybe it's more coercive than he's thinking?) On the other hand: Holy shitttt a possibility of seeing MBJ really for real in the flesh!!! So Airplane pulls out all the stops and cries and sobs and shows up at OG!SQHs door in the middle of the night saying he had a nightmare where he thought his brother had DIED please let him sleep over :( :( :(. He pretends to falls asleep on a night MBJ comes to visit and then watches through a crack in the door as MBJ smacks his brother across the face.
Now, Airplane doesn't remember all that much about demon culture but he knows that children are rare and treasured and thinks that he's still young enough (Age 11 or so) to count as a child by demon standards, and therefore is currently safe from MBJ trying to hurt him! So he steps out of the bedroom with no fear (holy shit! Its Mobei Jun the most gorgeous man in the world)
Airplane: :( why are you hitting my brother? Didn't he do a good job??
OG!SQH: (Silent panic)
MBJ: (Silent confusion)
MBJ, Airplane's dream man, is of course, patient with kids, and explains that he hit OG!SQH BECAUSE he did a good job. Airplane frowns more and asks if that's a demon thing?? Because that just hurts humans, if MBJ wants to tell a human they're doing a good job he should do it like this -- and then brazenly takes the opportunity to walk over and pat MBJ on the cheek!!!!!!!! (he can't reach the top of his head)
MBJ: …Noted (<-he is baffled and intrigued by this human child who clearly knows that he's a demon and yet shows 0 fear or contempt) (He also recognizes that his spy is moments away from having a heart attack/qi deviation/trying to attack him for being to close to the child (finally, an understandable reaction from the human!) so he declares that they're done here and disappears.
OG!SQH immediately has a breakdown about it, part of which includes him saying that he should have known better than to think that Airplane wouldn't somehow know about this too, then reveals that the main reason he's so desperate to gain more power is for Airplane's sake! He Remembers how certain he had been that one of them was going to die when they were kids, and the only way he knows to keep themselves safe is to be the one with the most power.
Airplane: ………Okay, that’s fine, but you have to promise to never ever betray MBJ.
OG!SQH: ….Not CQMS??
Airplane, thinking of the future plot: Haha. No.
So Airplane helps his brother cover for MBJ's visits, honestly mostly to get a chance to see him again. And also flirt with him, which goes over MBJs head because he still views SQH as a child even after it's been years. OG!SQH views this as the worst form of torture imaginable, can MBJ go back to smacking him in the head, please??
Unbeknownst to both of them, the Peak Lord has been trying to decide which one of them should be the next head disciple -- OG!SQH is better suited for all of the scheming and back-room talks needed to keep CQMS on top of the cultivation world, but Airplane is better at the straight logistics, and people tend to like him more (more than they did in SVSSS, even, because OG!SQH picks up a lot of that slack). Eventually they say fuck it, invites them both to their office and says "you two decide which of you is going to be head disciple ->next peak lord".
Airplane is conflicted -- he already knows that the peak lord is supposed to die, he has no idea about the fate of the peak lord's brother, and he's also worried that his brother will feel betrayed and really for real try to betray him and/or humanity if he takes the position. OG!SQH takes a little more time to think about it and decides, wait, this is perfect, if you're a peak lord no one can touch you and I'll be your spymaster/right hand to make double sure that no one can touch you :). At this point he's already decided he doesn't care about anybody else's opinion/respect but his brother's, and if his brother is a peak lord then who else's respect does he need? Now that he thinks about it, the idea of being a knife in the dark who mysteriously shows up and knows everything about everyone's business is much more appealing to him than being the paperwork peak lord, especially when he has that peak lords ear anyways.
So, Airplane gets bullied into being a peak lord after all. Good luck!

Go write 100 words of: Hand over Hand Over Hand and Desert Spring
HOHOH
"I think I should delay returning to teaching classes. My summer heat is due to start soon, having only a few sessions before having to stop again seems as though it would be only more disruptive." He doesn't even look up from the list he seems to be compiling, as though his heat cycle is something to be discussed as casually as the weather. Though with the way he's spoken of these things before, he might very well view it that way. Madara's blush is high on his cheeks. He clears his throat before saying, "That should be fine."
Desert Spring
Tobirama's class, such as it is, doubles in size overnight. Trying to instruct that many people at once quickly leads to be an exercise in futility, and so he's forced to split them by ability. Ability, he quickly learns, has very little to do with age. This clan has over a dozen members he would have classify civilians eagerly sitting in with the classes for those who have very little chakra control at all. The older, more trained shinobi, are so set in their ways that they continue to struggle with lightning release no matter how many times Tobirama tries to reword things. Meanwhile the children who were in training have come up with a fun new game where they sneak up on and shock each other.

Hikaku stared blankly at the decoded cypher: In the corner of another room? What was in the corner? Which room? Where? The words made sense but they lacked context. How were they going to find Madara now? He could feel a stress headache building as he looked to his unwilling team-mate.
Izuna was staring at his own cypher, staring at the paper as if he was willing it to catch fire from the force of his frustration. Hikaku could see a meaningless string of Romanji through the thin paper HOHOHOHOH...
Izuna's hand slammed down on the table. Fuckit, they would have to ask the Senju if they had other leads. As much as he would like to avoid it, It would be better if Everybody Lives
(please write 100 words of each of those three fics)
All of this codebreaking just to find out that i've trapped Madara in my yaoi dimension... Oh, he'll live alright In the corner of another room
Shiro seems to be paying off their stay here with manual labor; when Izuna spies them across one of the gardens they're carrying two large crates in their arms, one stacked on top of the other. They're the sort of size it would take a team of men to move, but with the help of chakra strengthening Shiro makes easy work of moving them from wherever they're from to wherever they're going. Probably, Izuna should find something else to entertain himself with, but ah, even a stupid merchant's son would think a shinobi is the most interesting thing here, wouldn't he?
HOHOH
"Think of it this way." Hikaku interjects before the worrying can spiral into action. "If we aren't competing with the Senju, we don't have to lower our rates to undercut them. If we double our prices and lose half our clients, that's the same amount of money for half the work." That nets him some exasperated laughs, at least, and from there, he can pretend at confidence enough that the rest seem relaxed by it. No, it won't be easy he says, or even particularly smooth, but once it's worked out things will be better. And they trust him.
Everyone Lives
"When you get out of here, take me with you. Bring me back to the Uchiha. I'll tell you everything I know." "Deal." The man agrees, a furrow forming between his eyebrows. He agreed too easily, Togakushi should have bartered for more, but he doesn't care about anything else. There must be some catch, some condition -- he's a Senju agreeing to help an Uchiha. "I will come retrieve you three days after I depart officially so as not to arouse suspicion. Do not do so yourself before then. Be packed and ready to go in this room by that morning."

...Canon divergent AU where at some point SQQ comments that LBH should start his own restaurant. Around the same time someone tells LBH that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, which he actually interprets in the correct way.
So! Obviously he should woo Shizun through food! And when he starts asking pointed questions about food it turns out SQQ has a lot of food that he misses "from his home town" that he can't get anywhere else. His primary use of the dream demon powers he's learning is to figure out recipes.
When he gets out of the abyss, LBHs plan is not to become the demon emperor, but instead to found a restaurant and crush all competition so throughly that he will be Shizun's only option if he ever wants to eat an "American style cheeseburger" (whatever the fuck that is) ever again.

Consider:
Airplane is pretty used to his fans having pretty obscure favorite characters! He's written so many women into Binghe's harem that most people find at least one that appeals to their very specific taste. Sometimes it's even a character like Yue Qingyuan (makes sense! died a sad but noble death!) or Liu Qingge (Mysterious! A character who could maybe have rivaled the protagonist if he had lived) or even Shen Qingqiu (Villain fans!).
But he really doesn't know what to think of this guy in his comments who is obsessed with the throwaway, lazily named character he invented just to have an explanation for why Binghe had knowledge about Cang Qiong that he shouldn't. Excuse me, Peerless Cucumber, why are you offering to pay him to write about this side villain's backstory?!
