The song Bitter by Fletcher gives me so many feelings about Costia in southern AU. Obviously, Lexa isn’t thinking about Cos while she’s with Clarke. But I feel like Costia would listen to that song and think about Lexa being with her “unknown” new lover… and it fucking PAINS me.

i've been listening to that song almost daily for the past three weeks and i still don't know how to put into words how much i huRT. the more i think about it, the more it fits, and the more i want to cry

because listen. costia now feels like an outsider looking in when she sees lexa smiling at her phone or just walking down the street with an extra pep in her step. oh, you know costia would make herself sick at the thought of lexa sleeping with someone else, in the bed they shared for many years, in the bed she helped lexa pick. and she hears about lexa's new life and the brand new woman she is from her dad, clarke, even just rumors around town, because you know how small towns are, and costia doesn't even pretend she doesn't care. she just spirals because good god, was she holding lexa back that much? that badly?

I tried the Sprite Lymonade Legacy LemonLime and Strawberry & Lemonade and it was pretty good.

This was fizzy while also smooth tasting. This had a light lemonade with strawberry taste and the sprite lemon lime taste. This was sweet but not overly sweet to me.

I would drink this again. This also reminds me of Sprite Remix soda from the early 2000s.

(I almost fell over. Those are my favorites too 😭 )

BUT imagine MBFW Clarke and Lexa just casually using these terms of endearment consistently even after they broke up. Pet names are commonly used within conversations with other friends, group chats, etc…

But HONEY, BABY, and MY LOVE are restricted for only Clarke and Lexa.

But yes! Entirely. Lexa always refers to Clarke as 'love' and 'my love' very freely, and she's never stopped for one day since she started. Through the breakup and the years of friendship, that's just what she calls her because that love is so profound between them that for her it's always been a thoughtless endearment of everything that Clarke means to her. She never called Costia that, she never called any of her flings that, and she sure as hellllll never called any of her other friends that. But she's always called Clarke that no matter what was happening or who was around...

Clarke is much more one to use other names tho. When they were dating it was always 'baby'. She would throw in others too. Honey and the occasional babe. Pretty girl or beautiful if she just wanted to see Lexa smile, and lover if she was particularly needy with feelings for the moment. That one always got a very handsy reaction out of Lexa. But baby is just something that strikes a chord with her in how she shows her affections.

But where Lexa never stopped calling Clarke love, Clarke did taper off calling her baby. Not because she didn't feel that kind of love anymore, but rather it felt too much like a claim that she didn't know if she entirely had anymore. Even just telling Lexa she loved her didn't feel as intimate as calling her baby, because that word came with so many memories of falling asleep in Lexa's arms and holding her close and whispers between kisses that began and ended every day. Hence where sweetcheeks and the like came from. She needed something to replace it, something that was still just for Lexa and entirely hers to use as freely as she wanted.

And if you notice, she never uses any of those terms with Finn 👀

I've been wanting to do a dark academia style fic for years now, not just the ~aesthetic~ but the idea of the genre in literature and I love this obsessive, superiority and lack of emphaty for anyone below them attitude they have, and then the obsession with each other to the point of murder, not because it's necessary but because Lexa wants it so Clarke follows her without any question.

I've only seen You via tumblr gifsets, but I definitely get the vibe you're talking about! While Lexa does like Clarke, it isn't until the murder that Lexa's own obsession with her starts in a "holy shit this is exactly who I want", but even before that Lexa has a strong idea of possessiong over Clarke, when something is Lexa's you do not fucking touch it, and for her Clarke is /hers/ above whatever else she is, while Clarke's obsession starts as soon ss she lays eyes on Lexa, so much so she changes the entire curse of her future just for a chance at being a friend at the very least. Clarke knows how to manipulate people so easily and Lexa has wits and strategy on her side. Once thst mutual obsession fully cements, it is impossible to break. Lexa tells Clarke that if she ever goes to jail, Lexa will follow her there. And because Clarke cannot imagine a life where Lexa survives behind bars, she will lie through her teeth any chance she gets, to the police, to Finn's parents face, to the dean, whoever it is, to keep herself - and most of all Lexa - out of jail.

It’s Friday! Doesn’t matter for me because my industry thrives on the weekends.

I’ve been dealing with awful insomnia and anxiety for the last couple of years. I was finally brave enough last night to actually take the hydroxyzine my doc prescribed me a year ago (yeah, I know it’s just an antihistamine but my anxiety is a real bitch when it comes to new medicine) 🤡

I was fast asleep by 3am and was up before noon today on my own, which is unheard of for my second-shift ass. So I’m taking that as a win.

now that i’m on break i should be able to watch a bit of it and, even if i don’t get to the lesbians before classes start back up, i’m ready to get hurt again
