Wyatt Wingfoot: i genuinely unironically just think he's a neat guy who always does his best to be a good person, so a lot of these do not apply XD

I picked brainrot "maybe a little" just because I haven't made much stuff with him in it recently but I still know many random factoids about him off the top of my head lol

most people get his personality right but a small number of fans have a weird tendency to put him in a servant role or other lower socioeconomic class compared to the F4 or jen which is weird because he owns and drives a Ferrari in one of his earliest appearances that is, I'm pretty sure, an unreleased concept car from 1965.

most of his comics appearances are bad, not because they are offensive (though that is also a problem), but because they are poorly written. and john byrne is my enemy.

By "most fandom takes are incorrect" I mean "men on the piracy website fucking hate her guts" and it's kind of alarming actually.

"writers dropped the ball" depends on what writer as always. the most recent stuff (so, past few years) in ASM is, to me, an insult to her character with no understanding of her personality or motivations lmao but women exist to make babies!!! 🙄

i don't think she's a war criminal? but she generally—wait. Okay. I can think of a few things she's done that aren't war crimes but that are illegal and involve guns so I guess that applies without caveat compared to wyatt lmao. she's done nothing wrong and she is always right about everything actually.

im so fucking good at making sexy little leverage aus and then never writing them. this is my ma spencer au, which has been lifted directly from my twitter with minimal editing, & which i am haunted by always.

ok so the au. this is going to be very long. every time i listen to spent gladiator 2 by tmg i think abt the leverage team/eliot specifically.

lyrics for context:

so i was thinking abt an au where eliot was never on the team, bc like. eliot fully got Out of the game, but interacts w them on an early case and ends up falling in with them anyways? BUT i also think a lot about how hard it'd be for any of them to retire bc there's people who hate them who know their faces, yknow? so how WOULD eliot be able to have retired &what has to change for eliot to be that comfortable getting out?

so i figure he maybe got out of the moreau situation earlier. maybe he broke up with the horse girl but they stayed on good terms, and maybe he never did the worst things he ever did for moreau because he had his Getting Out Of There chef connection moment sooner.

but that doesn't undo how recognizable eliot would be to various parties and i was like. well then. what if the chef who was that pivotal person for eliot was a trans woman and was as pivotal with eliot being gendery as she was with eliot retiring?

so like. early 2000s nonbinary/transfeminine he/she eliot spencer finding a few small towns to live in pretty at random but having a home in each one and cycling through them with no discernable pattern?? and being a loved part of the local queer community in all of them?

it's similar to my "eliot never left home and is luke gilmore girls but also co-created a queer bar in his town" au (aside: thank you @lycanqueer for pointing out that connection ages ago, i have been unwell about it ever since).

like . eliot!!!!! eliot probably first connecting with the team bc of the two horse job and slowly begrudgingly helping, joining in on the tap out job, etc.

eliot being like a parent figure to various queer kids in the different towns and they call him "ma spencer" and she wears his practical boots with flannels still but maybe they're with a more feminine tank top and maybe you're as likely to see ma spencer in a no nonsense knee length skirt as a sturdy pair of jeans. and maybe sometimes he braids her hair . and she's mr. spencer too and well respected by the folks of whatever town he's staying in, too stubborn and helpful and intimidating not to be!

eliot being openly down for a casual relationship both with parker and hardison from when she first gets to know them onward—and him keeping his past quiet still, but it getting harder to keep the parts of her life seperate as he finds herself getting closer with the team & with more serious feelings for parker and hardison.

maybe the team's hitter is Tara? i feel like she's capable of that? but she has to be the grifter when sophie goes on her break and eliot joins in "Just Once" but it ends up being more than that.

eliot would have a lot of complicated feelings abt joining in—like, both being happy with the peace she found & not wanting to risk that but still feeling like he needs to pay penance and that this is a way to do that.

and then season 3 hits completely different. i think this eliot would talk about his past once she found out they were targeting moreau, but i think team dynamics would overall be super different in general. the team would be way less of a unit with nate than when you see things from his perspective—espeicially without eliot always there to insulate the team from the worst of him.

anyways im gonna be thinking about this for the next 800 years. will i ever write this fic? probably no. but ma spencer is so real to me

Currently watching: hypothetically adventure time and full metal alchemist, but it's been a while for both! a lot of youtube tho lol

sweet/savory/spicy: this is a silly question. there must be balance, and also they're not mutually exclusive? thinking about a good pad thai which is all of the above. like, if only allowed one ever for the rest of my life, savory probably? because what is spicy without savory-ness? but i also am a baker with a sweet tooth, so. silly question.

Relationship status: married to @unloneliest! this year will be our 10th anniversary (from dating) which? wild. we were babies.

Current obsession: i mean, always my comic @farragone, I'm very close to finishing the coloring for an episode right now and am! very excited for how that's looking! a little out of context screenshot! they.

but also recently got a shelf and discovered it was in much rougher shape once it was getting cleaned, so I learned how to refinish wood about it! and did that intensely for 3 days

the before, after I sanded & added wood filler, and after!! dragon shelf!!!

I'm also getting top surgery in a month, so, definitely very focused on getting stuff prepared for that! bought some very cheap shirts today that can get wrecked if they must, dealing with boring paperwork etc.

Last thing you googled: was trying to order vegan wings and suffering about it since the place we originally tried to order from wasn't actually accepting online orders, and the place we did order from did not have any descriptions of their sauces. So doing a search to see if anybody had even posted any photos or reviews, while slowly losing my hungry mind over how large their menu was.

if anyone has any recommendations for superpowers to make a 100 lb 5'2" wallcrawler viable in a fight, aside from the most obvious (super strength) i would like to hear them—

bonus if lizard/gecko themed

her existing powers:

-sticking/wallcrawling

-advanced reflexes

-regenerative healing (regrown limbs grow back progressively more reptile-like)

-only slightly enhanced durability

oooh 'what if' for the spiderman project!

i was at a doctor's appointment but i am back now

"WHAT IF – i will pick an important choice or event in my current project and write three sentences (or more?) about if it’d gone done differently"

ok hmmm

the main important event i can think of (that i have written) for this AU (beside peter becoming spider-man/uncle ben dying ofc) is probably doc ock crushing flash's legs.... and relatedly, peter's decision to, you know, refrain from killing the shit out of otto so i guess the what if here is "what if peter had killed doctor octopus after ock hurt flash?"

i'm not gonna try to make this prose cause i think the effects would unfold over a longer time than i can cram into three story sentences but i think the effects would be like

1) flash would view peter very differently if peter had straight up killed a dude with his bare hands in front of him, even if it is the dude who destroyed his legs. i think they probably would have drifted, though it's hard to say where flash would have gone after his dad kicked him out. i don't think, even in a world where peter killed someone, that he would ever let flash (or anyone) go homeless, especially not related to something that he feels was his fault--which boy i haven't gone into enough at all i'm realizing...

2) peter would still have the symbiote (which he just lost in the most recent stuff i wrote), because doc ock is the one who Knows Stuff about it and figured out how to strip it out of peter; is the one who helped fisk's men capture him, incapacitate him, etc. so i guess peter would still be out there with his extra special "suit" that makes him essentially immortal.

last movie i watched: i honestly think the last movie i watched was the old guard? i don’t watch a lot of movies? i’ve been listening to nightvale a lot again.

currently watching: theoretically i’m spending top surgery recovery watching leverage + leverage redemption, & also fullmetal alchemist brotherhood. and possibly a bunch of AEW wrestling. today tho i’m watching ash hardell’s return to youtube

currently reading: something that may shock and discredit you by daniel m lavery - i’m only a few pages in! & my shortlist in terms of to-read includes the murderbot diaries by martha wells, the parable of the sower by octavia butler, the broken earth trilogy by n.k. jemisin, & the raven cycle by maggie stiefvater which it’s honestly a surprise to me that i’ve made it this far without reading it?  & i also plan on rereading amateur by thomas page mcbee and tamora pierce’s alanna series while recovering from top surgery just as a little gender treat to myself.
