Hello!! I’m writing a Foreteller fic, and I wanted the opinions of the people I consider to be the Holders Of Arcane Knowledge- how do you think Luxu reacts with his old comrades once they reunite?
Is he a weathered stone, the person he used to be as Luxu worn away into the cynic who is Xigbar? Do they have to learn how to deal with their little brother anew?
Or is he a pearl within a clam, the facade that is Xigbar pried away to reveal Luxu, the child who never got to grow up? Does he revert to his old behaviors and mannerisms, depending on Ira and Ava because he never really had the chance to grow out of that sixteen-year-old boy?
Or is it a secret third thing??? I would love to hear your thoughts!!
first, absolutely honored to be called a holder of arcane knowledge thank you I pride myself in my masters degree in foretellers, this turned into a long ass Luxu personality/character analysis oops! Read more because this one really got me in the zone lol
tl;dr, I think it's the first option you said due to his experiences but he really wants things to be how they were, but it can't be, too much has happened. I can see him and the others trying to act like how they were pre-khux though but it'll be awkward I think since Luxu has given up everything, including himself, for MoM's plans
Anyway love your descriptions here fr, Luxu obviously is a bit of a wild card character, we see him in multiple forms pretending to be different people so the question really is what is he really like? It's interesting to go back and look at Luxu within khux, all of the foretellers are so stern/serious usually especially with MoM but Luxu is the only one who has legit banter with MoM and can get snarky with him (even if MoM always controls the conversation in the end) and he does the same with Darkness in the finale. I used to think that Luxu's whole Xigbar persona deal was him imitating MoM in a way but ngl I now think that that's more of how he just is (albeit probably very exaggerated because I think Luxu wants people to underestimate him as just Some Fucking Guy while he's Xigbar, I mean how often do people laugh when they first meet him in kh2 because he's just straight up a Silly Dude next to dramatic ass Xemnas and Saix). Honestly I would kill to see original Braig just to compare him to Luxu because at this point I think so much time has passed in present day kh and so much shit has gotten fucked up that I don't think anyone has ever noticed that Braig might act differently now, like I totally believe Luxu doesn't care to act like original Braig as much as he would've cared about acting like Bragi in khdr yknow,
Anyway, all this to say that I think if Luxu was going to act like how he really is, it wouldn't be too far off from Xigbar. I ALSO think however, that it would be a lot more subdued and mature. When you go back and watch the kh3 epilogue he definitely still acts like Xigbar but he speaks pretty calmly, the theatrics aren't there. It's such a startling difference honestly and I think that's all the years wearing down on him at this point. I think Luxu is far beyond the point of acting like "the child that never got to grow up," a character going through what he has absolutely has the potential to act that way but for him I don't see it. Despite all the silliness and sass we see from him in khux, I also want to bring up the scene where Ava confronts him because the vibe feels similar to the kh3 epilogue imo. Like yes he starts out kinda silly just saying he was told to watch over and over again but he does get to explaining the truth and I'm sure he was very blunt with it like how he was blunt with Brain in the finale. He can be serious when he needs to, I think he was very much forced to be and I interpret him receiving his role from MoM as the loss of his childhood so from that point on that teenager never existed anymore. Luxu takes his role seriously tbh and stops the theatrics (or what may be seen as immature behavior) when he needs to.
And when the others finally return, I think Luxu really wants to just lay the whole act to rest. In his secret reports it's really clear to me how desperate he is to see everyone again and just how worn down he is, literally he must be like the world's most tired guy and I don't blame him. In the epilogue he seems so relieved imo but the difference between him and the others is a lot, to put it lightly. The others have basically been plucked from the past, exactly the same as they were, but Luxu has untold years of experience and fighting under his belt. He wants things to be how they were but they never will be; he may still be Luxu but the years have not been kind to him. I'm sure Luxu had a lot of expectations for this reunion and it didn't play out like how he wanted it to; the others are most likely still in the mindset of the keyblade war so tensions are probably high. A moment I think about a lot is when Gula and Aced start yelling at him and it's like there's a wall that goes up between Luxu and the others then, I feel like he acts more like Xigbar throughout the rest of the scene. I'm sure moving forward we'll see Luxu go between his regular Xigbar persona and his actual more subdued self depending on who he's talking to. I really do hope we get to him just be himself tho, and I'm sure we will but it'll just make the difference between himself and the others all the clearer. I can totally see Luxu talking with like Invi or Ira about what's happened, he seems to really want to prove that he's still himself. I think he'd try to act like how he was as an apprentice/young master but that's just not who he is anymore

Head Bonk Headcanons - TWST
More Nova weirdness. This is how Luxu wakes me up and it's just kind of been adopted as general affection around my house. And I think it'd be funny for some TWST boys to suffer the same affection.

TWST Boys being subjected to affectionate head bonks
~~~~~
Riddle
Riddle finds the head bonks annoying…at first
He’ll yell at you to stop and try to put space between you if he had the feeling you might bonk him
It’s a fruitless endeavor
Inevitably, he’s reduced to grumbling acceptance as he acknowledges he wastes more time avoiding them than just letting it happen
Besides, knowing what they mean to you does bring him secret smiles he’ll never willingly show
Ace
Very confused and very loud complaining
Dodges at first, quite smug about making it a challenge
Even now, he’ll turn it into a game, which has led to a few bumps and bruises
But when he’s chilling and not being a smart-ass, he’s fine with it all
Deuce
Extra confused until it’s explained that it’s just an affectionate habit
Then he’s happy to accept and return the gesture
He may misjudge the force the first few times. Congrats on the bruises
Happy to be considered a friend
Cater
Finds it cute
Has definitely recorded the interaction for magicam
Tried to get #headbonk trending
May insist you do it again so he can record it but it’s funnier if you don’t
Trey
Beyond confused but there’s no harm in just letting it happen
Gives a nervous laugh at first each time
But eventually just accepts that this is a thing
No muss no fuss
Leona
Grumbles and growls the first few times
But actually really likes it due to the social behavior among lions
Especially since no one else would dare cowards
Will also tease you about it
Ruggie
Heck yeah! Enjoys the interaction
He was wary at first, wondering what it was you wanted to butter him up for
But began to really enjoy it when he realized there were no ulterior motives
May also use it as a tool when he wants something from you
Jack
Hates it. No, he doesn’t
Grumbles even as his tail wags
Also makes himself more accessible by sitting or leaning down when he expects it
Still denies he enjoys it saying it’s easier to get it over with than let you continue to pester him
Azul
Thoroughly baffled. Could not understand
Was worried that this was a crucial land dweller ritual he missed
Causing internal panic after realizing no one had graced him with a head bonk before
Until he realizes that it’s just a you thing
Tries to maintain composure as he graciously accepts each one
Also uses it when he wants something from Ramshackle
Jade
Pleasantly surprised
Also graciously accepts the gesture
Will also situate himself to accommodate the head bonk
Unless he’s been scorned, then good luck
Floyd
No longer allowed to receive head bonks
Severely misunderstood the gesture and intent
Thought it was funny and went around giving people headaches
Can only get a head bonk when he’s not expecting it for fear of trying to return the gesture
Probably don’t need anymore concussions
He’s sad about it
Kalim
Confused but happy
May adopt the behavior at least for a little while (annoying Jamil)
Always smiles when it happens
Jamil
Learns faster than Riddle that it’s just easier to endure the bonk than waste time resisting
Sighs and rolls his eyes at first
But learns to enjoy the behavior
However, he WILL use it as a bargaining chip
Such as only letting you bonk him if you promise to settle down if you’ve been annoying
Vil
No. Not having it. It’s childish and silly
But Rook and Epel always seem happy about it
Oh very well. He gives
And is surprised at the pleasant friendliness. It helps that you’re not actually rough or malicious about it
Comes to genuinely enjoy the silliness
Rook
Could not be more indulgent
Thrilled to receive each one
Will also monologue about how beautiful and unique your demonstration of friendship is
May also kneel to accept his bonks
Epel
He’s on board
Gives a cute laugh every time it happens
Is much more casual about it than Rook
But still happy
Idia
WTF! What is happening?!
Is confused and tense and nervous every time it happens
Might even run away
Until Cater sends him a cat video—about cats headbutting for affection
He’s still very nervous, but actually begins to make himself available for head bonks
Fails miserably not to blush
Ortho
Initially confused but comes around really quickly
Happy to consider it a gesture between friends, and have a friend, and for his brother to have a friend
Also likely to initiate and/or end most conversations with you with a head bonk
Malleus
Baffled. Does not understand this Child of Man’s behavior
Goes searching through the library to try to understand but obviously finds nothing
Is very happy when it’s explained as a form of you-specific affection
Will also make himself available for bonks as if this is a common human ritual
BUT watch out for those horns. This makes bonks to the top of the head pretty much off limits
You made that mistake once
This also upsets Sebek, of course
Sebek
Is not happy for you to bonk Malleus
Isn’t even happy for you to bonk him. At first
Refuses to let it happen even if he secretly likes it
Will scold you when you manage to sneak up on him for bonks
Despite the blush on his face
Silver
Huh, okay
Is not bothered at all
Finds it cute
Is very gentle when he bonks back. Especially when he’s sleepy
Lilia
My, you are a silly human, aren’t you
Treats it as a game, teasing you about not being able to catch him
But always indulges you in the end
Grim
Best head bonk buddy
Doesn’t understand why it makes him happy, but it does
I wanna ramble about random KH headcanons I have because I’m bored and why not:
- Aroace Ienzo in a QPR with Demyx
- Autistic Ienzo
- Ienzo gets overwhelmed at things being messy but also feels overwhelmed at the idea of cleaning
- Trans Luxu
- All of the foreteller’s have ptsd
- Aroace Ephemer
- Trans Brain
- Brain pretends to like black coffee but secretly still uses creamer
- Ira and Aced are the oldest of the foreteller’s, Invi is a year younger, Ava, Gula, and Luxu are a few months apart
- Brain is demisexual and Lauriam was his first crush after they became friends
- Ansem x Even in a QPR
- Xigbar tried telling the foreteller’s minus Ava that MoM actually just screwed them over, Ira had the hardest time accepting it because he was the most devout to the masters teachings
- Luxu gets terrible nightmares for the first months after he possesses someone new but they eventually go away and he pushes away the guilt he has
- Aeleus is the one who found Ienzo and brought him to the castle and Even and Ansem adopted him
- Luxu always preferred using long distance weapons
- Apprentice Xehanort always felt out of place with the other apprentices
- After KH3 Ienzo is scared to admit he misses Braig since all of the others see him as having chosen the darkness and Ienzo knows that but Braig was still one of the ones who cared for him as a child
Random headcanons: Luxu
-Luxu is the second youngest Foreteller, just a year shy of Gula
-At first, he did train with the others. When their roles were revealed the Foretellers saw less and less of him until never seeing him around at all
-Luxu takes on his vessels while they are still at a young age- where their hearts are at their brightest. The exception to this was Brain.
-taking a vessel itself involves overpowering the soul of the vessel, not their heart (aka, not what Xehanort tried to do with Terra). Control can be given back easily.
-the older Luxu got (and the more lives he lived) the more relevant he realized what the Box's contents were...
-he sometimes misses his youth in the Age of Fairytales because of his own innocence, but also acknowledges that he is no longer that person- literally and figuratively.
DARXOMNIOUS
"What we have longed to see...a World torn apart at the seams."
A Kingdom Hearts OC of mine I've touched upon on here before. Not only the overarching Big Bad of the second story arc of Kingdom Hearts (Divergence) - the Key Of Destiny Chronicle -, Darxomnious is the closest thing to a dark deity this side of Chernabog. Born from when the World was plagued by darkness that arose from all the vices and ill intent in the hearts of men in the period that's got down into legend as the "Keyblade War", Darxomnious is in essence all the darkness from the darkest of all hearts aggregated together and made manifest as a singular entity. In the true history of the World (not the fairy tale), Darxomnious spawned all Darklings into being, with the amount of darkness this begot proving to be the final, back-breaking straw for the old World, which was completely consumed by darkness and left in tattered ruins as Kingdom Hearts faded from it into the darkness, prior to being restored into the Realm of Light with multiple divided worlds we have now thanks to light that survived within the hearts of children. These same children stood up to the darkness, incapacitating them with their light and trapping them within the remains of the ultimate key, locked away in a black box.
And in that box Darxomnious remained until one day Luxu, leading Keyblade Master for the Dandelion Guild unions (a guild started by the children who'd remade the World to keep it protected from the remaining Darklings), foolishly wanted to uncover the secret to restoring lost hearts, so he opened the box with the key materials and let Darxomnious loose upon the realm. This incident led to Luxu going into self exile so that he may right his wrong and find some way to erase Darxomnious from the World for good this time, and to one of the Guild's unions, soon to be known as the Luminous Vanguard, gaining traction through the abolition of Keyblade Mastery. The black box was buried beneath the earth of the world called the Land of Departure, which later became Castle Oblivion. Master Luxu eventually subdued Darxomnious but unabe to slay them, he performed a ritual to seal the dark god deep within the mental space that connects the heart and mind, known as the Dreamscape. But in doing so, the master had tied his and Darxomnious fates together, with him gaining life sustaining power from Darxomnious' darkness at the cost of his mental soundness, and from Luxu did Darxomnious gain full sapience and thinking skills. From deep within their Dreamscape prison, Darxomnious continued to absorb hearts so tainted by darkness that they could not be pulled into Kingdom Hearts by its light, while also keeping Luxu alive for all those years...
...until one year, Luxu's Dreamscape connected with that of the secret guardian Keyblade Master named Xehanort as he delved deep into darkness without his protective armor on, madly pursuing all the answers to all his heart's questions regarding the full history and true nature of the World. In that space within Xehanort's subconscious, a pact was made between the aging man and the deity of darkness, with the assurance that Xehanort's endeavors and legacy would far outlive his own mortality and would be made to serve Darxomnious. So after Xehanort had passed on, once in Heartless form and then in Nobody form, this contract enters play. In KH3D, Xehanort's reborn heart, from the Hollow Replica vessel that had yet to reach completion, projects himself into worlds whose populations have been cast into slumber by Maleficent's sleep magic, skipping from one Dreamscape to another in hopes of finding his master and untethering them from it. When he successfully manages to do so, Darxomnious is now able to completely overtake Luxu's heart and mind in order to use his body as a puppet to initiate and spearhead the Seekers of Darkness movement, in which he and 12 other villains control multiple adversarial entities and initiate as many of those with dark hearts into the movement as they're able to, with not just hearts claimed by their forces but the hearts of the Dark Seekers themselves becoming sacrifices to a mass of distorted void that empowers their footsoldiers. The crux of Darxomnious and Xehanort's master plan is to sacrifice the seven pure hearts of the new Princeses of Heart to the abyss within the Dark Keyhole, and for this as well as the Guardians of Light's fight to rescue them to create a massive distortion from which a Dark X-Blade can be forged, which Darxomnious could then use to open the way to the true Kingdom Hearts and steal the light out from it. Darkness could then once more cover the World and tear it apart at the seams, with the realm being reborn into one in an eternally distorted state where all hearts born to it succumb to darkness, giving Darxomnious unlimited hearts to feast upon forevermore. A sick apocalyptic vision that must never come to pass, which is what sets the stakes for KH3 so damn high.
In the final level(s) of KH3's story, both Luxu and Darxomnious are split back apart in the Final World, but Luxu, having become so crazed and so dependent on Darxomnious’ power for life, beckons the dark ruler back into his heart. Then in Scala Ad Caelum, Darxomnious begins to summon Kingdom Hearts but is interrupted this time by Sora, Donald, and Goofy coming to face him. Luxu's heart is destroyed from the inside by Darxomnious, which transforms Luxu's physical form into one that is half-Darkling much like Anti-Aqua. After fighting him across land, sea, and sky of Scala Ad Caelum, his body is completely destroyed, exposing Darxomnious in their raw form as they flee back to roof of highest tower, just as the light-filled moon of Kingdom Hearts appears in full in the sky above. Xehanort, still positioned on that tower, pleads with Darxomnious to tie themself to his essence, to make him their new vessel. Darxomnious does so without hesitation, merging with Xehanort and then assimilating all Darklings, Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed, and Hollow Replicas in existence into himself, which transforms his form into a fiendish abomination. Using his new power, Darxomnort pulls all the Guardians of Light back into the Final World through the Kingdom Hearts moon, heads towards a giant keyhole symbolizing the inner heart of Kingdom Hearts to suck out all the light and infuse it with darkness. When Sora comes at him for the final showdown, Darxomnort draws all the XIII’s darkness into himself and they manifest as Keyblades around him during the fight. A Super Trinity Attack by Sora, Donald, and Goofy, with extra rear power from Kairi and Riku, is used to take down Darxomnort, blasting the demon backwards into the darkened Kingdom Hearts moon just as it begins to burn out, which disintegrates him into a massive dark void that, if allowed to spread and expand itself, could engulf the entire World. With Sora's Ultimate Keyblade mended thanks to Terra, Aqua, and Ventus' sacrificial move, the Keyblade Graveyard is obliterated as all the ancient Keyblades that had long lost the power they'd had that united with the hearts of their wielders regain power from hearts across all worlds that Sora calls out to for help, with all the blades joining with the Ultimate Keyblade to make the void shrink and implode, obliterating all trace of Darxomnious once and for all.
Some tidbits:
The name "Darxomnious" is something I thought of (it’s pronounced like “Dark’s Omnious”, as in “Darkness Is Everything”, and of course it has to include the "X" in there), but the concept behind it actually has basis in something introduced to KH canon here - the guy calling himself “Darkness” and referring to himself as a plural “we” sparks in the imagination the concept of an entity that’s basically a reigning deity of Darkness made from all the darkest of hearts. It would make far more sense for a literal dark god to be the ultimate Big Bad than an old man who’s just so overpowered, overly knowledgeable, and ridiculously advantaged that he might as well BE a dark god.
The most conveniently OP of all Darxomnious' ability would be to use their darkness to reach out through all time and space in the Kingdom Hearts multiverse in order to grab darkness-filled hearts in a vicegrip and bring them to themself to either absorb or, in the case of the other twelve of the XIII, place them in Hollow Replica vessels.
Much like Chernabog, Darxomnious does not speak in their default form. They only gain a voice through Luxu, who they puppet to deliver their own words in Luxu's voice (Hector Elizondo) but with a faint demonic filter behind it. The wordless sounds Darxomnious does make would be provided by an uncreditted Frank Welker.
☔🌪️ for the WIP meme
🌪️Sum up a WIP with a few fic tropes/Ao3 tags.
Aqua/Cinderella, Nightmares, Hurt/Comfort, Knight/Princess, Pining, Kissing, Sleepovers
☔Is there a fic concept you have that you'd like to just explain and share because you're not sure you'll ever write it? If so, what is it?
*cracks knuckles* Ok so! Luxu has been taking vessels by removing his heart and putting it inside other people's bodies, right? But then he loses his heart and becomes a Nobody.
So here's my Heartless!Luxu fic idea that I may never write: there is a powerful Heartless running around with Luxu’s original appearance, Braig’s personality, and absolutely zero context for the Organization and second Keyblade War.
(this idea could be altered where he's in the background influencing events from RG's fall to KH3, but since this is a self indulgent crack idea, I think it would be funnier to have Heartless!Luxu (hereby known as just "Luxu") dumped into the KH3 aftermath with no knowledge of anything that's happened since becoming a Heartless. He can be stuck in the Realm of Darkness in the meantime, idk)
In order for this to work with some veneer of plausibility, Xigbar faked both his death in KH2 and his subsequent Nobody-ification again before KH3. He knows he has a Heartless but is blissfully unaware that retained it's memories and identity à la Ansem
Luxu knows what Nobodies are bc of Terranort's experiments but he has no idea powerful ones can retain their human appearances and memories. The revelation is in the middle of some confrontation between him and one of the apprentices (Ienzo feels like a good choice, I think he'd be least hostile in the situation. The others would be Fucking Pissed)
Ienzo: "Oh, you're Xigbar's Heartless."
Luxu: "I don't know who the fuck that is!"
Ienzo explains and Luxu has to sit down and process this for a little while.
Heartless and Nobody meet each other at some point and resent each other so much yet neither wants to die so that og!Luxu can be recompleted
Also include "Braig took care of Vanitas pre-BBS when Xehanort wasn't training him" headcanon and add some Luxu and Vanitas bonding over being the darkness torn out of somebody else
Tentative title: Luxu and the No Good, Horrible, Very Bad Everything
Random scenarios with Heartless!Luxu live in my brain with no plot so I have no idea where to go with this but I desperately want to write something for it
Headcanon Radiant Garden Apprentices education & majors I'm convinced they have
₊˚ ‧₊ ⨯ ˖˚ ⊹₊˚ ‧₊ ⨯ ˖˚ ⊹₊˚ ‧₊ ⨯ ˖˚ ⊹₊
Ansem TW - He's like in his 70's but also ruler of a whole world, he does not have the amount of degrees and doctorates he wished to have. Of course let's not forget they're all researchers but special to himself are biology and physics, also computer science because in the KH universe, computers are as old as fairy tales! ☝️🤓
Even - Chemistry and mathematics absolutely, though as Even was starting with astronomy little Ienzo came along so he had to quit to watch him. Once he became Vexen and Zexion got older he totally picked up data science/statistics, that's where his whole valuable data deal comes from. He's probably also responsible for them figuring out the Dark Corridors because sci-fi shows (The 100) taught me it needs a bullshit amount of maths to figure out wormhole placement.
Ienzo - No formal degrees since he was a Nobody hustling for half his life. Probably never saw a school from the inside because he was castle schooled. Biotechnology in the bag and it was really easy. He's more likely to go into any other major than STEM related fields because on god that boy is done. I do think he's creative. He could do art related majors so what? His dads can support him for years of studies in whatever, he deserves it!!!!! Just get the child out of that castle.
Braig/Luxu - This is special. Braig not once considered doing anything academic, school was just not for him. But Luxu heard it ALL a thousand times. First aced through it all and got degree after degree until things didn't stimulate him enough to care so his vessels started slipping in grades. The others caused him to try and chill as a scientist this life because Luxu figured it was easy money, but Braig hated the few months stuck in the lab. It was like school all over again and even with Luxu's parasitic holy bible of knowledge it sucked bad. Even got super agitated when Braig switched to being a guard instead. Scientists and guards definitely fought over him for years <- Headcanon is the reason why Braig slacks at the guard job and gets to do stupid shit cause this guy's position isn't at stake no matter what.
Aeleus - Everything was about strength to him, but when he didn't spend each waking second grinding he was pondering. Even's stupid astronomy talk and the universe made Aeleus feel really small in comparison and he thus decided it must be conquered. Astronomy free-loader was more upset than Even himself when he quit. He also taught himself smithery. Ever wondered why his eyebrows look like that? Definitely charred them off.
Dilan - They were good at kidnapping for several reasons. And Dilan was a big one because one thing he basically never mentions is that he in fact majored in forensics. He knows what crime scenes look like, it was easy for him to get rid of proof. He did it for love of crime solving there he was, caught up in a grim twist to it and his friends all up for it.
ApprenticeNort - Also no formal paperwork, Ansem and Even taught him chemistry, physics and computer science within the timeframe of him being found and doing the Heart experiments. That's what? A year or 2 maximum unless he's a very very fast learner?? But something was missing. He started picking up history and Luxu found it ironic he'd choose that when he doesn't even remember his own history. Once Xehanort split, Ansem SOD kept the knowledge and between having no physical body and the time travel stuff he focused on chemistry. Xemnas had the extra 10 years for engineering and architecture. Man hustled.
little Scala ad Caelum headcanon that there's a whole archive of recordings (vinyls maybe? idk Scala seems to have radios) that were made by Ephemera recounting like. stories about Daybreak Town or just keyblade stuff in general. I like to imagine Luxu comes to Scala at some point while Ephemera is older and there are some recordings of him as well in whatever vessel he has at that moment (probably Brain, I like the idea of him showing up to see Eph as him aha,) and then later on after Ephemera has passed I think Luxu would take some of the recordings for himself so some of that history is technically lost now lmfao :^)
additional headcanon from @luxusdollhouse bc Bug was the one who started this, recordings of Ephemera and Luxu singing traditional songs and telling stories. ofc Luxu has stolen these too
KHOC WEEK 2024 Day 2 - Past
the things for my OCs are now the only ones I do, so, off with the annual @khoc-week appointment.😂
The protagonist of this post should have been Aspis, my little Anguis kid, but since Aspis is deeply connected to another character, it's probably better that I start with some headcanons I have about the Foretellers. Between those and the designs, at this point they feel a bit like OCs too. even tried to do a Nomura-esque version for the occasion.
The assumption is that the Foretellers were one of the many attempts on the chessboard of the Master of Masters to face the Darkness. He gathered under his protection a group of lonely and desperate kids, with a tormented past, acting in the grey area more than out of affection. He bet on them. He sought out children who possessed specific flaws of distinct deadly sins, trained them, and made them his apprentices on a journey designed to make them overcome their "sin" and use it as a virtue that will be essential to their future "roles." For example…
Tumblr media
Gula, who lived on the streets as a feral child, has known hunger, and food is also how MoM attracted him. Gula suffered from bulimia and nervous hunger for years, before managing to direct his anxiety towards logic and study, becoming an analytical boy "hungry" for knowledge.
Tumblr media
Ava, sold away by her once rich family fell in disgrace, wanted EVERYTHING back. everything she had lost, or that she wanted but could no longer afford. Mom was the one who has bought her, she's too young to understand the extent of the family tragedy. that's why she later was the perfect one for the task of choosing any wielder she desires or attracts her eye, without limits, collecting the Dandelion.
Tumblr media
Aced has always used his muscles to win easily, alone, without effort and without ever really try to improving himself, until carelessness cost him his tribe and an eye… he is now a loyal follower and uses his strength to defend the group, the arm of the law under Ira.
Tumblr media
Ira, balances strength in combat and intelligence, which are also the qualities of his union. stubborn and rebellious, as an angry teenager he ran away from home, losing his path. He was the first one found by Mom, and he owes him his life. He learned to control his anger because of him, obtaining determination, willpower and the courage that made him choose as Leader.
Tumblr media
Luxu carried the burden of being an unwanted child, the result of an affair, from an early age he felt cursed by that because of a big birthmark on one eye that vaguely resembles an X. shy, insecure and reserved, people pleaser, until life with his apprentice companions brought out his mischievous and creative personality. His being a people pleaser made him incredibly attentive to the behavior of the people around him and the ideal candidate to infiltrate among people and live their lives, one after the other.
Finally, Invi.
Tumblr media
like all the other foretellers, her name is more of a title. Her real name is Nivea, and she was isolated from her village because white hair was considered a bad omen. The resentment of having to survive alone, with a little brother to support, he too with lighter hair than was welcome, soon turned into Envy, gnawing at her insides every time Nivea stopped to observe the normality of other families, lurking and hating everyone but her brother Aspis.
MoM saved both, proposing a deal to Nivea: he would take care of them, they would have a roof over their heads, education, a future, as long as she studied under him.
Tumblr media
With no other real choice, the children accept out of desperation.
Tumblr media
Nivea and Aspis initially lived together, but as they grow older she is forced to uphold her end of the bargain, spending more and more time at the clocktower. Aspis and Nivea's relationship is ruined irreparably, as Invi begins to enjoy her studies and the company of her peers, spending less and less time with her brother "for a higher purpose".
On the other hand, Aspis, who has always remained silent about a subtle hostility from the inhabitants of Daybreak Town due to his bad temper and sharp tongue, is left almost alone. His only wish was not to be a burden to his sister, who therefore always believed everything was fine and let him go without regrets. Aspis is full of resentment towards Mom, blaming him for brainwashing his sister, now obsessed by Light and darkness, when she clearly only wanted a better life for them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aspis and Invi do not hate each other, but the lack of communication makes it difficult to make peace, they will miss their chance before the War.
Aspis eventually made some friends along the way, that made his loneliness bearable. he is in a sort of trio with Lupe and Leonna, and a little girl who for some reason adores him like a big brother, Velcia (she's @alchemist-of-thebes 's oc). he'll never admit it, but he would die for her.😂
Tumblr media
concluding this post with some old foretellers art dump xD
Hello !! Sorry to bother but was wondering if it was possible for some Headcanons about Natsu , Gray , Sting & Luxus with a s/o who was magicless ( does this word exist ?? ) & was insecure about it ? Like reader dating a powerful mage yet being weak & insecure about it .
Sorry if this doesn’t make sense English is not my first language ^^
A/n: Hello, thank you for requesting. Don't worry you are not a bother and it makes perfect sense. Anyways I hope you enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.
Natsu:
Natsu does not care if you are magic-less
He's just happy to have someone he can protect
If you're feeling insecure he will assure you that he doesn't care how powerful or weak you are as long as you are a good person
He will tell you until he is blue in the face that magic is not what makes a person worthy of anything and that he loves you for you
And if anyone ever says anything bad about you being magic-less and he finds out, they are going to find out what it's like to fried chicken because he will roast them alive
Gray:
Gray also couldn't careless about your magic abilities or lack there of
If anyone every says anything bad about you, they will turned into a ice cube
He may be cold but he will do and say anything to make sure you know he doesn't care
He was raised in Fairy Tail, around wizards with all different levels of magic ability so he knows everyone has there strengths
There will never be a day where Gray looks down on someone for their lack of Magic ability
Sting:
Pre- Gmg arc he's a little difficult to deal with
Being a member of the Great Saber Tooth Guild it is drilled into him that power is everything
so at first he can be rude and spiteful to those with less power
But after Fairy Tail and Natsu show him that strength isn't everything he starts to get better
He will do everything in his power to reassure you that the old Saber Tooth mind set is gone and no matter what He loves you for you
Sting is 100% the kind of guy to spend years making up for past mistakes even if you tell him it's okay
He's just a big softy and will definitely fight anyone who dare says anything about you and your lack of magic
Laxus:
He's rough around the edges to say the least but he will try to make sure you know he does not care about whether you have magic or not
For all of his talk about being the strongest and whatever he really doesn't care
But when you're feeling insecure about it he will let you vent about your worries and then turn around and list every reason why he loves
He will electrocute anyone who dares make fun of you, no one is safe from it, not even the thunder legion. (Bickslow learned that the hard way when making a stupid joke, he didn't mean it but he still got zapped)
All in all I see every last one of these guys being super protective over their S/o no matter what. Whether or not they have magic, these four are throwing hands with anyone who dares insult their partners.
Headcanoning that Luxu Braig was actually really close with Ienzo because he reminds Luxu of Ira with his intellect and sometimes sarcastic tone. Braig would often tell stories to Ienzo that he played off as being made up, but were tales from old lives he lived 100+ years ago.
The closeness went both ways so at the end of KH3 when everyone else was back except Braig, Ienzo didn’t understand and the others tried to tell him Xigbar was gone gone. Ienzo is mad when he starts to think he’s the only one upset about Braig’s loss. The adults felt betrayed by Braig a long time ago since he’s the one who led their betrayal against Ansem (Terranort also encouraged them, but Braig did it more since he had more sway with them). Ienzo didn’t know that and still doesn’t get why that means they aren’t upset he’s gone.
Wacky headcanon that I'm keeping separate from the "MoM used Kingdom Hearts" theory since I don't feel like there's as much evidence for it and this is moreso just me having fun: the foretellers (and maybe Luxu as well) are "reincarnated" versions of the MoM's fallen allies who succumbed to darkness.
The MoM used the power of Kingdom Hearts to bring their hearts back into the new world he created, though potentially now with different bodies and personalities and obviously no memories of the previous world and what happened in it. Or at least, no easy access to those memories (we know how hearts work in this universe, they never actually forget.)
He did this partially for sentimental reasons, but also because he believes that their hearts' prior experience with capital-D Darkness will help them develop a bit of an immunity to them that will assist in the MoM's plan of turning them into stable vessels. Plus, this allows him to sort of "fix" his tragic past by creating a new future where his allies actually managed to successfully fight off Darkness' influence.
Master of Masters: I know how it sounds, but believe me when I say that I didn't train you all...just to turn you into vessels. I pushed you to become resilient—resilient enough to withstand darkness even if it were to take over your hearts.
fact: luxu has had countless vessels over the years.
supposition: many if not most of those vessels were adults (or nearly adults) when he body-hopped into them. they would've had established lives and personalities, loved ones, partners, spouses.
headcanon: he has tried many tactics for dealing with suddenly having someone else's name and face, including studying them from a middle distance before bodysnatching them to be able to convincingly pretend to be them (too much work for too little reward), faking amnesia ("Boy, this is some cliché"), and eventually just not even caring how other people reacted to him and fucking off to another place or world to start a new life for the next few decades until he needs another vessel. yeah, the loved ones of the guy whose body he just stole would be confused and sad and pissed, but it's not like it's his problem.
observation: xigbar is a fucking asshole to everyone around him for fun and nobody seems to like him very much (🥰)
conclusion: xigbar has gotten divorced more times than he's gotten married.
If we think about it, the player and Luxu are quite similar and at the same time very different. Here I explain
Luxu is a character who was assigned to be an anonymous observer of the narrative. The player is a faceless observer who imposed himself on the narrative. Luxu is able to take different bodies to live eternally, having his memories and powers, but in exchange he kills people and ruins lives without caring
In exchange, the player is able to reincarnate in different bodies that his heart forms, but in exchange he loses his powers. His memories, not being able to choose which body to reincarnate in and having to spend several generations for him to reincarnate. Although without harming anyone, only he suffers the consequences. Luxu becomes over time a sadistic and cynical psychopath to the extreme, while the player becomes someone wiser, calm and loving. I could talk more about these two, but I don't want this post to be a bible.
Without a doubt, the interaction of these two will be GOAT
Hmm... I don't know if I'd say Luxu becomes sadistic or psychotic. Cynical, definitely. But I don't think he necessarily takes pleasure in causing other people pain. At this point we don't know how many vessels he's taken or how many lifetimes he's lived, only that it's probably a lot. He gave up his body, his name, and any chance at a "normal" life for the role MoM gave him. Over time, it seems likely that he grew estranged from his old identity ("These days they call me Xigbar, but whatever suits you" = he puts no value in his name/what people call him after having taken so many.) MoM's plan became all that he really is. Such a heavy weight is bound to take a toll on anyone, especially after however many lifetimes he's lived. It didn't make him sadistic, rather caustic and uncaring because putting care into things became pointless when he would inevitably move onto another vessel. The only thing that mattered was his role and whatever he had to do to fulfill it.
This veered slightly into headcanon territory, and also away from your point of Luxu/player parallels, which I do think is interesting territory (and something I've not seen brought up, though I'm not super deep into the general Chi sphere.) KH has a history of these sort of inverted parallels (Sora/Riku and Eraqus/Xehanort come to mind specifically, with Eraqus and Xehanort being a kind of "dark mirror" of what Sora and Riku's relationship could've become.) You make a good observation of them both being "observers." Luxu will inevitably leave this role and make his own choices in the narrative, just as the player does. Will these choices parallel in any way? I wonder! We'll just have to wait and see.
KHML really needs to come out, the absence has made me spiral into a Luxu headcanon/AU that I'll be judged for if I share it to the general community. Can't stop thinking about it. I will not elaborate. Save me with your actual canon, KH devs.
