I really wish Kairi got way more than she did in terms of character development and learning to fight for herself. Like she could’ve been such a badass character going from feeling stuck on Destiny Islands while Sora and Riku ran off all the time to finally having enough of being left behind and making herself important, learning to wield the keyblade and not just getting kidnapped into her first proper fight. Let Kairi be cool and able to hold her ground.

Kingdom Hearts x Arcane: Ienzo

More long rambles in the middle of the night wooo!

Ienzo (lining him up with Viktor and giving him the same disability in this AU): Ienzo was born in the undercity until his parents died in the Zaun uprising. Young Ienzo went to topside to seek help, and while most turned him away, crossing the street as if he had some contagious disease. When it hurt too much to stand and he sat down on the side of the street an enforcer, Aeleus. Aeleus brought him to the enforcer station to find out what to do. Most of the enforcers just told him to send the kid back down to the undercity to which Aeleus adamantly refused, especially since the enforcers weren’t doing too good in the public eye. At the station Ansem showed up to speak with Aeleus, which gave Aeleus the idea for Ansem to take Ienzo in. Ansem is a prominent figure as a college professor and councilor and the story of a councilor taking in a poor kid from the undercity would look good to the public, and Aeleus trusted Ansem and Even would be able to give Ienzo a good and safe home. Ansem agreed, and after going to speak with Even, convinced him to agree as well.

Ienzo was taken in, but incredibly hesitant with them. He wasn’t there for the conversation about being used for publicity, but he felt like there was some catch to getting to live in a giant house with more food than he could eat, more toys than he could have ever wished for, and books that didn’t take him long to begin reading through as many as he could. Ansem and Even quickly grew to care for Ienzo. They learned to relearn how they talked about politics recognizing their perhaps close minded view of the undercity, but they still held close to Piltover beliefs that anyone can build themselves a good life if they do good honest work. Ienzo still being malleable to beliefs and ideas began to pick up on how Piltover thought of the undercity and wanting to fit in adapted to the beliefs that most of the Undercity were criminals and addicts who made choices to lead to their own poverty.

Ienzo was put into school where he was quick to catch up to his peers and quicker to surpass them. A prodigy, his teachers called him. Adults were impressed and enjoyed his story of hardships turning into such a lucky life, ignoring the fact he should never have been in the position he started with. Children on the other hand resented him. How could some undercity kid who couldn’t walk without a cane be better than them. He became the target of cruelty that the teachers turned a blind eye to. Ienzo kept the bullying secret from his fathers and just tried to focus on his studies.

About 6 months of living with Ansem and Even, Ienzo was starting to warm up to them. He talked to them more often and joined them in outings. Even and Ansem took turns reading Ienzo bedtime stories, taught him how to play chess and helped him in his studies. About a year after living with them Ienzo began calling them dad (Even) and papa (Ansem) interchangeably with their names. A year and a half later they became dad and papa exclusively. Ansem and Even were shocked when the quiet boy they took in became an endless bank of questions, ideas, and opinions. They took on the role of parents with some struggles, both working as professors, and one doubling as a councilor, having to be careful not to offend Ienzo. Nevertheless they did their best to show nothing but love for the boy.

When Ienzo got to his teenage years he became sick more and more often. Ansem and Even got him looked at as soon as they suspected a problem. Having been able to get it taken care of as soon as they did the doctors were able to give Ienzo the treatment and medicine he needed.

Ienzo is currently attending the college pursuing engineering.

What do y'all think Potions (the healing item in kh) taste like? Do you reckon it has a taste at all or do is it just like water? Do you think it has a weird consistency
