i was here! i feel alive! i am awake!

today i volunteered in operation smile's fundraising event swing for smiles in tagaytay highlands and i'm sooo happy :--)))

first, it's my first event with opsmile and knew no one! as in, except for ms. carol who i've been talking to online and ms. roselle who's been coordinating for my sundo!

speaking of sundo, super props to kuya bry and kuya manny huhu aside from picking me up ng 3:30 am (im their only passenger lmao kabado pa ako makipaginteract haha), they also kept me company whenever i sit alone during slow hours, making jokes and kwento! i love u po see u po sa next mission, pasundo uli ako ha hahaha picturan ko kayo sa lahat ng tonton gutierrez at derek ramsey at pba player na gusto niyo, i gotchu my kuys!

also, to ms. roselle, u deserve a separate paragraph too because we chatted a lot whenever i'm also sitting apart from the ~young groups~ and all the leni and med and osp talks! thank you!! super sad you had to leave early but i'll make sure we'll be able to meet again! isabela maybe? :--))

to steph (and also raph) but mostly steph ahahaha, my lasalle taft osp girl,,, thank you too for always keeping me company and i just feel so grateful to be able to meet you and hear your cancer survival story! hahaha we became closer when she invited me to go to the airconditioNED RESTROOM and then we just chatted there for a while cos its colder than outside. we even worked on that company logo activity of yours we're so funny hahaha golf pa more ! see u in cavite opsmile mission pls? :-)) pati cebu??? ahahha pero bat ka 88m

lastly, (actually there are mooore i'd love to remember like dr. rory, dr. chel the tshirt woman hahaha, dr. ingrid and more!) but special mention si ms alma, i love u so much maam, ily ily ily, pls we just waited together in silence for ms carol as she loads the printer to her car but then we became closer when we sat together during lunch and when we moved inside the function hall and sat in the center front table (LMAO volunteers sitting in moshpit luv dat for us), we're like a mom and a daughter tandem na hahaha i also picked up some lessons on how to be more cheesy to mama hehehe thank you po for taking good care of me as well!! i feel comfortable also when we talked about leni and your ice cream cravings

thank you Lord! i get to experience: 1) volunteering with a group of strangers who are just super nice; 2) i get to enter and see a super duper pretty place like highlands; 3) and because of that i just appreciated our simple living more and realized how vast the gap is for privilege and social inequality; 4) my desire to learn playing golf and make it my hobby LMAO; and 5) most importantly, my desire to bring mama there and other fancy places so she could also experience them. hay gusto ko talaga maranasan rin ni mama yung mga napupuntahan ko!! im excited let's start little by little shall we
