I had a wonderful Ghosts are Dragons idea thanks to @fairy-lights-and-blobs 

Nocturne, the great feathered wyvern of dreams, son of Morpheous, created of the sands of dreams itself, might be a bit, oh what’s the word, stumped. He had been twisting through the smog of the living world, and honestly should have been unseen. Keyword being should. 

Because? 

There’s a tiny? Hatchling? Growling at him when he slips into a warehouse, having been searching for a… misplaced item. And he says it with a question mark because? This is a hatchling, he knows his own senses, but they’re also… seemingly stuck in a human form. 

Dear Dreams, this is worse than how Phantom was- and he had been so injured from too much ecto at formation, even for a baby Primordial, that… Ugh, Nocturne wants to slam his horns against the ground repeatedly. 

Alright tiny red hatchling, let him just scoop you up aaand… alright, off to the Zone to see doctors, because really, he wasn’t expecting to get another child, but he’s also not going to just leave the equivalent of a chronically sick toddler!

the roots embedded in logan's lungs are the only thing his body can't force out of him, but that doesn't stop it from trying! so he has it worse from the outset because his lungs are constantly spasming and trying to force out the disease and failing

if florist!logan: logan can literally smell the flowers in his chest before he even coughs them out and he knows what they all mean. and the flowers he throws up reflect the development of his feelings towards wade so he's basically hyperaware of his entire situation and he just smells flowers all the fucking time

back to my logan has synesthesia headcanon... he starts associating everything with flowers. he sees in flowers and smells in flowers and it drives him fucking insane

if we want to get extreme with it. logan's body tries forcing out the roots in any way possible and it leads to plants growing out of his lungs and chest and up his throat. made a quick sketch for visualisation

Jason? Displeased right now. Incredibly upset even. He’s near certain that he’s gotten kidnapped by some sort of fae creatures, and he is not happy about it. Not to mention everything is greenGreenGreen like the Pits. 

And now, either he’s tiny, or these things are huge, and he doesn't have legs. He keeps getting picked up by these massive horned ones that he would say looked seal-like, but like, to the left? Something like the legends of merfolk but Other. Wrong and right, terrifying and comforting and horrible in how he found himself relaxing. 

Hopefully the rest of the bats realize he’s missing and- um, that is a child? That is a child with scales of starlight, fins of the very cosmos, hair like a bursting nebula growing closer- He blinks and the ever-expanding form is back to a teen chatting in horrific warbling-howl-screech-crack-electrical hum noises to one of the big seal-ish creatures. 

Fuck, he’s definitely gotten stolen by some sort of lazarus siren things hasn’t he?

A most fortuitous birthday to you. Apologies that I could not be there as we initially discussed, but such are the ways of fate, as I'm sure you understand.

You find me nestled under a warm woollen blanket, a bottle of Pink Clarry at my side, the colour that of your flushed lips, I presume. How I wish I could be there to kiss them the thousands of times I promised...

But alas, today is not a day of my wishes, but yours. I hope you wish for star-filled skies of poetry and romance if they do not already fill your life. I know a star near the Crown of the North shines especially bright for you on this night. After all, you deserve the stars to shine down on you.

If I were with you right now, I would share in a spot of stargazing, the wine flowing as freely as my words as they do now. Another longed for moment at your side. My love, I find it peculiar how time seems to have passed by us so quickly, how the moments have slipped from our grasp without reason. I think often of those moments, of campsite fires and experimented mealtimes. Life grants you so many and yet they are so easy to miss; the stolen glance at a loved one as they watch an aurora, a warm embrace, the tear shed upon a farewell... These moments meant everything to me. They will give me courage when the time comes...

Nevertheless, as you are fully aware, I digress; a difficult-to-shake habit. I hope your birthday is one of laughter and love, of friends and the family you longed to build. I hope you make many more moments, ones I will always watch over you for.

Birthday (Year 4)

So you ever have a scene that you really want to write but simultaneously do not want to write? That was me today. So I spent most of the day avoiding it and didn't do it until about 4pm. What did I do in the interim? Well I decided to move some furniture in my bedroom.

In New Zealand there does seem to be a problem with houses getting leaks or mold. Ours is the second. I'm so grateful we have an affordable place to rent but it does come with a couple of drawbacks. Below the cut you'll see some pictures of a wall that I last cleaned with bleach and water a mere six months ago. That wall is behind my desk and my bed. It had mold despite me running a dehumidifier in my room every second day over winter. So I spent a big chunk of today attempting to clean it again. It's mostly gone but there are some dots of mold that just won't shift, I think they've stained the paint somehow.

Yeah this is why the inclusion of death by mold freaked me out and I'm unlikely to play with it

I repeat, I cleaned down this particular wall six months ago. Sure I could move my heavy furniture out to clean the wall every week but I'm little. I've no idea if any is behind my bookcases because they're too big to move but they are internal walls while that's an external wall so hopefully it's okay.
