which character in obm do you think is the most yandere for mc and why?

In my opinion it's definitely a tie between Mammon, Leviathan and Belphegor. Mammon In the OG it's been stated that Mammom oversees all forms of greed, and we know how he is head over heels for the MC as well as possessive. (well the rest of the boys have possessive tendencies towards the mc so lol) In Nightbringer we actually see him go super possessive over the MC to the point his brothers struggled trying to get him under control. Although it's been resolved, I still wonder if he'll be able to go that crazy like that again @ the MC. He is the Avatar of Greed after all, he makes it known to everyone that the MC belongs to him only and that he was their "first." Leviathan Avatar of Envy, enough said. I do remember in the OG (whether it was in one of the pop quiz events or the main story, I'll have to dig later) he did say that the MC is his. Either way I do believe he can be the most yandere for the MC. This jealous serpent??? Obviously. The MC is his idol, his angel, his player 2. I genuinely think he can be a terrifying yandere too. Iirc apparently he was supposed to be a canon yandere but they scrapped it? Correct me if I'm wrong but that's pretty much all I can say about him for now, It's not much so sorry. u __ u Maybe I'll edit and add more later. Belphegor He's a canon yandere (mmNNFF YUMMY). In Nightbringer his yandere side is shown more in Lesson 33-14 , Where he tried to keep the MC from going back to the human world (in MC's case, back to the future) by putting a spell on them so they feel tired. He's so wants the MC is to stay and to keep for himself and it shows, not just in nightbringer but pretty much anywhere. Dude got jealous/angry in Lesson 55-18(OG) where if you choose the option "I'm worried about Lord Diavolo." Belphie responds with "sO yOu cArE mOrE aBoUt lORd dIaVoLO tHaN mE?" What a spoiled, bratty, yandere bitch baby. Also a scary yandere. Tbh I can't really choose but it's between these three. Sorry for any typos btw. Honorable mentions: Lucifer , Barbatos , Diavolo

Myrddin - OG Merlin, he's not actually associated with Arthuriana - and the Welsh myth stuff - until much later. He's one of those who was an irl lad but got incorporated into the mythos at a later date. He was a bard gifted with the power of prophecy (as all bards were thought to be in Celtic society) and was said to have gone mad after the Battle of Arfderydd in which his king and bestie Gwenddoleu died and then he fled into the woods. This gave him the epithet 'Wyllt' or Wild cuz obviously if ur living in the woods then u ain't gonna exactly be living ur best life. He's also famous for having a sister who is-

Gwendydd: her name means 'white day' and I mean that's so pretty but ur gonna know her better as Ganieda. She's best known for the dialogue poem she has with her brother that's featured in The Red Book (or Llyfr Coch) of Hergest. It's in an englyn form (a short poem) and is basically the two of them asking about prophecies and the ensuing answers. She's also featured in two poems 'Afallennau' (apple trees) and Hoianau (The Greetings.' In Afallennau Myrddin says Now Gwenddydd loves me not, and does not greet me;/I have killed her son and her daughter.' And MYRDDIN, BABES, WHAT DID U DO?! They also love each other a lot so like eehdjdjdjd Myrddin I GOTTA KNOW

Owain - OG Yvain/Ywain/Ivain. He has TOO MANY NAMES. Owain is another irl lad who got sucked into the mythos in a kind of fuckin Alice in Wonderland thing. Best known for being the main character of 'The Lady of the Fountain' he's the twin brother of Morfudd and - if u think his mam's Modron - the brother to Mabon the Hunter. Also, his dad is Urien Rheged so like name a better family pedigree? U can't. Irl Owain is The Worst but Mab Owain is Best Boi. He has a lion. He has ravens. He is besties with Gwalchmai and Peredur. I firmly believe he and Luned have a mate's holiday every year. What's that? U don't think so? U are wrong. Iesu Grist, I love him. I think having a hug from him would fix me. He also saves Luned's life and like they ARE BESTIES.

Pwyll Pen Annwfn - Pwyll Head of Annwfn to give him his proper name. He's the one who Rhiannon marries and is an idiot and like I love him but Pwyll PLS. Also has a run-in with Arawn, Lord of Annwfn that culminates in the two of them disguising themselves as each other and Pwyll slaying Arawn's enemy, Hafgan. He's also Pryderi's dad. He dies at the end of Branch 1 and is never brought up again even tho his wife and son are literally characters in Branch 3 (and if ur Pryderi Branch 4). He's a disaster area of the highest degree.

Bedwyr - Bedwyr of the Perfect Sinew (that's what Bedrydant means) he's HOT SHIT. He's Cai's husband and he's literally one of the Best and Most Handsomest Men in Arthur's retinue. He's also one-handed and the best fighter - as Pa gur says 'They fell by the hundred / before Bedwyr of the Perfect-Sinew.' - And also I think it's imperative u know he battles with fuckin WEREWOLF (Gwrgi Garwlwyd)! Bedwyd is the voice of reason for Arthur when he talks his bud down from trying to kidnap Princess Gwladys of Brycheiniog (Breacon) after he's already been kidnapped once in what I truly imagine must have been a fuckin terrible day for her. And also he and Cai legally take custody of Goreu in Culhwch ac Olwen and ride salmon taxis together. Also, Cai says 'By the hand of my friend' as a catchphrase and it's a ref to Bedwyr. They are Husbands. I legit love him. Cai also loves him. Vote for Bedwyr to please Cai or else.

Okay hello! I am finally back. I'm so sorry I took literal months to answer this. I was dealing with hurricane aftermath and busy work life. </3 However, I am finally back and ready to get some stuff cranked out.

What do I like about Jo?

Personally, I love Jo's gentle yet explorative personality. Despite being quiet, reserved and shy, Jo is still actually kind of explorative in terms of hobbies, wardrobe, and now even photos! He isn't afraid to explore new things, even if it means being pushed a bit outside of his comfort zone. He's quickly becoming more confident in himself and I am absolutely loving this for him. Even though it's hard to explore one's personality and get to know oneself as an individual when you work in the entertainment industry, Jo has been blooming wonderfully.

Exploring new angles for photos, trying new foods, listening to new music, exploring different vocal sounds, choreographing group dances alongside Kei, opening himself up to art classes.. Jo is finding his place in both &TEAM and in the world just in general. He is opening his mind to new things and he's embracing change with open arms opposed to hiding behind the same personality out of fear of rejection.

He is a very generous, kind, caring soul and it's hard not to love him. I love that he took up oil painting because he was inspired Fuma's generous Christmas gift the year before last. I love his admiration of cats. I love those silly faces he makes when he's confused about something or those cute angry faces he makes when he's tried a food he really likes. I love when Taki tries to smooch him and you see him making the "wtf, again?!" face. I love how he sings with confidence despite his shyness. I love how he's contributing to the growing list of choreographers in our lovely group. I love how he's starting to cook with Maki more and how he's taking initiative to learn more Chinese because of his admiration for Nicholas and his culture. I love that he's taking on side projects (such as modeling) to show us a unique side of himself that we may have never seen before. I love how he always sends us photos of the moon with cute little captions just because the moon is meant to represent Lune. -- I could genuinely go on for 150 hours about why I love Jo and how special he is to me.

There are so many aspects of his personality that just. draw you in and refuse to let you go. He is an incredible talented, handsome, unique guy who continues to shine in new ways everyday. He's growing up in front of us and I'm incredibly proud of him. He's humble, too. Incredibly grateful for the members of &TEAM and for Lune who give him inspiration and strength to keep going.

(also his beauty marks. i love all of the moles he has on his cute lil face, I just didn't want to talk about his appearance too much.)

What traits would Jo pick up from his girlfriend?

I feel like Jo is someone who probably mirrors his lover's personality. He probably finds comfort in his girlfriend's actions and finds himself doing things she would when she's not with him.

Eating habits. I feel like Jo would probably mirror his girlfriend's eating habits in the sense of speed of eating and probably times of having his meals. If his girlfriend eats slow, he would probably slow down to match her pace so she didn't feel like she needed to rush or just so they could enjoy their meal together. If she eats fast, he would probably increase his speed of eating too so they could move on to more interesting things together like watching movies, cuddling, going out to do things, etc.! As far as time of eating -- He would probably find routine while with his girlfriend and become accustomed to eating at a certain time, so even when they're not together, he would probably stick to this routine.

(lowkey this would also include Jo learning how to cook the foods she loves most because he knows it makes her happy, therefore also making him happy. he would probably eat her comfort foods when he's feeling lonely or just misses her, too.)

Hobbies. Jo's personality screams that quality time is one of his major love languages, so naturally, he would want to engage with his girlfriend's hobbies as a way of bonding with her. Journaling, biking, hiking, knitting, watching movies, reading books -- whatever the case may be, Jo would want to be included in her hobbies and would probably pick a couple up for himself. He'd probably find himself making keychains just because he found comfort in the bonding experience with her or maybe he'd just pick a random day to go shopping to spoil himself because it's something they'd done together in the past. Maybe he'd find himself falling hard into a fandom she's in or maybe even just adopting hobbies of collecting cute things that remind him of her because she does the same for him.

Facial expressions when speaking. Jo already mirrors expressions when he's listening to the Teamies talk to him. He often repeats things back to the Teamies as well using their same tones. This would be no different with his girlfriend. He would match her tone and expression when he's talking to her, seeming to take on her own mannerisms when he's telling a story he finds particularly exciting or irritating. Using more expressive words, talking with his hands, the inflection of the story, maybe adopting words she uses often into his own vocabulary.. He would probably just find himself mirroring the way his girlfriend expresses herself because these expressions are what he's used to and what he's comfortable with.

girl!&TEAM and Jo...

Ohhh this one's kind of a hard one to answer! If &TEAM were girls, who would compliment his personality best? If I'm honest, I'd say Fuma might suit him the most? I feel like probably Yuma in some aspects too... Let me explain a little bit?

Fuma

Inspires him to try new things hobby wise. A real canon event: Fuma bought Jo colored pencils because he only draws in black and white and Fuma wanted him to explore new things. Jo is now coloring his drawings and even took up oil painting because of this incident. girl!Fuma would have the same personality, so that's already a given.

Encourages him to be more talkative and gives him a safe space to use his voice for personal expression. Active listener, engages him fully, enjoys holding a conversation, asks engaging questions.

Makes him feel seen and valued. Never shies away from showing love for Jo and all of his personality quirks. Never forces him to do things he's not comfortable with but praises him when he does something new outside of his normal behaviors. Always reminds him of why he's loved + how much he's loved.

A real partner. Fuma would be someone who worked with Jo through everyday struggles, relationship issues, or bigger more intimate issues. Financial issues, helping Jo through an emotional time, working together to figure out why they'd had a fight over something small -- any issue that arises is one Jo would never have to face alone with Fuma. He would have a real life partner, not someone who just stands there and watches him drown.

Yuma

Silly personality to pull him out of his shell a bit more. Encourages him to explore the fun side of himself through goofy dancing, making silly faces, getting into small bickers over nonsensical things, etc. etc. Makes him laugh a lot.

Kind of clingy. Yuma's clinginess would provide a sense of belonging for Jo, triggering a kind of confidence within him that makes him gravitate to Yuma's side 24/7. He would feel needed, wanted and appreciated with Yuma's constant yearning for cuddles, hugs, or handholding.

Adventurous and sometimes spontaneous. Jo would find himself ensnared in all kinds of nonsense with girlfriend!Yuma. From randomly bungee jumping off of a bridge or ice skating across a frozen lake, Jo would find himself doing things he wouldn't voluntarily do on his own because his (crazy) lovely girlfriend!Yuma wanted to do something fun on a random Tuesday afternoon.

Confrontational. Jo would never have to worry about anything. Yuma would be his number one supporter and wouldn't even give him the option to stand up for himself. Nope. Yuma is already all over the issue trying to figure out what's going on and how to fix it so Jo isn't worried about it anymore. Pickles when he said none? Yuma's going up and asking why there are pickles in Jo's food. Someone said something sideways? Aht. Yuma's like a drill sergeant trying to figure out who this person is and what gave them to right to speak to/about Jo like this.

I can definitely see how Harua would compliment his personality, too, though. I chose Fuma and Yuma because they're more outgoing and would encourage Jo to explore new outlets for creativity or encourage him to join in on more social events.

Haura, however, is also a very soft, quiet person who would probably match up with Jo's energy 100% of the time. Cozy, quiet days at home with hot cups of tea or sitting outside in the garden together just listening to the birds chirp their hearts away - Harua and Jo would live a simple, quiet life together.

Someone else who would be a unique match would be Euijoo, though. Euijoo is like a perfect mix of introvert and extravert. He's a kind, gentle, caring guy who doesn't actually mind going out of his way for things. Even if he's scared or uncomfortable, he finds it in himself to push forward. This would be a great personality trait match for Jo. They would encourage each other and feed into one another's ability to overcome the obstacle they're afraid of. They would tackle it head-on together.

Like I said - this question is SO HARD to answer because all of the &TEAM members have traits that just suit Jo's personality so well. Picking one girlfriend from girl!&TEAM for Jo would be an impossible feat. Just. SCREAMS.

Hi Nimm! I'm thinking about your pianist Edwin today, and I was wondering, what do you think are/were his favorite pieces to play? What do you think was the first "real" piece he learned? (like, the first one that wasn't a little 8-measure thing out of a piano learner's book) (mine was "White Christmas", because I caught my teacher off-guard by being able to read music and also it was November, lol)

Hi Kana!! I'm so sorry it took me so long to get to this, I've been busy working on my writing projects. Brain fog is getting the best of me today though, which means I can't work on my WIPs, but I still want to write something. So, let's get into it!

So, let's start with the first thing that he likely would've learned to play! In my headcanons, Edwin started out as a classical pianist very young, and learning piano back then wasn't like it is now. Nowadays, a lot of kids start with Faber Piano Adventure books, or something similar, but I don't think stuff like that existed back then.

In all likelihood, Edwin would have started the Hanon vitruoso piano exercises and/or the Burgmüller Op. 100 "25 Études faciles et progressives" (25 Easy and Progressive Studies), depending on how quickly he picked up the instrument. Both are designed to help beginner/early intermediate students build sight reading skills, agility, finger strength, and fingering skills. Based on that theory, Edwin's first 'real piece' would have been La Candeur, which is the first piece in Burgmüller's Op. 100. Kind of a boring answer, I know, but realistic.

When it comes to his favorite pieces to play, though, I would say it probably depends on the period of his musical timeline. If we're talking his favorite to play as a classical pianist, then I'm gonna go with something by Erik Satie (because I really do think Edwin just would've been such a Satie stan). There's the Gymnopedies and the Gnosiennes, of course, but I think Edwin would have also really enjoyed playing the Piéces Froides (published in 1912) due to them just being very musically strange (barless notation with no time or key sig, and all-around melodic weirdness).

I do also think Edwin would have enjoyed playing Debussy's Clair de Lune, despite it being a complete 180 from Piéces Froides, musically speaking. Clair de Lune was published when Edwin would have been 5, and was one of the most popular compositions of his time (and of present day, for that matter).

However, if we're talking about my headcanon of him transitioning into playing ragtime piano as he got older, I have a two answers. I think there are two artists he would have enjoyed: Scott Joplin and James Scott. Both were extremely famous ragtime pianists of the time, and there's a few songs from each that I think would be right up Edwin's alley.

For Scott Joplin, I think Edwin would have really enjoyed playing the Sugar Cane Rag, and the Fig Leaf Rag. As for James Scott, I think he would have enjoyed playing the Frog Legs Rag the most.

What are your go-to comfort Yuzu and Shoma programs? And which ones do you find yourself constantly rewatching?

One Summer's Day from GIFT 2023 as this is so beautiful and I have seen him skate it live in Japan at Stars on Ice 2023 so this will always have a special place in my heart. This is also a program I rewatch often.

For Shoma I would add:

Shormenta free skate from 2022 GPF. The step sequence just slaps. Also Baroque music and Shoma this combo is unmatched. No one does it like him.

Claire de Lune/I love you Kung Fu his 2023-2024 short program especially the one from Worlds 2024 I keep rewatching bc it was his last SP and seeing it live will always be a thing to remember. And as you may have noticed I reblog the step sequence from time to time.

And also his Come Together Gala from 2023-2024 season bc this one is so much fun. I love the messy skate from Cup of China 2023 bc the energy in this is so crazy.

Honestly as someone who rather watches competitions than galas or ice shows. I also don't see myself rewatching show programs that often. That doesn't mean I don't keep up with what Yuzu and Shoma keep producing in the future but I just don't find myself rewatching their newer stuff much. And also adding another "confession" I am not constantly rewatching things on a daily or weekly basis. If I am obsessed with something so much the moment I like it I rewatch it on repeat for days that it is ingrained in my memory that I don't need to revisit it often. I just think of it and it's right there in my mind. I dunno if that makes me unusual or anything, but I revisit things only in times of longing.

“A what?”

Warnings: 18+, fluff, suggestive themes, female reader. Idk stuff like that 😂 oh this is a reader insert so no mention of a name.

Summary:

    You and Hunter have been together for quite sometime now and take every chance to spend time together as possible. One of the man's finer qualities is his hair. As a female, it always irritated you how little effort he put into it yet you wold swear to Maker he had nicer hair than you. With that being said you were always looking for an excuse to run your fingers through it.

I cannot thank @lune-de-miel-au-paradis enough for this idea! I swear I make myself fall in love with him over and over again 🥲

The two of you lay tangled together in your sheets after yet another night of whispering sweet nothings and skin on skin contact. You admire how peaceful he looks, eyes closed and facial expression relaxed. The only sound in the room that could be heard was Hunter's soft hum while you run your fingers through his hair. It's one of the few times he doesn't have a bandana on and you can really tell how long his hair is getting.

An idea hits, sending a wave of excitement through your veins. Hunter's eyes fly open having sensed your sudden change, well...and you stopped laying with his hair. Your eyes flick to his and a look of confusion spreads across his face. His chest vibrates as he speaks, "What is it?" He almost whispers, searching your face for an answer. "Wait here" is all he gets before you're fly out of bed, throwing cloths on and racing into the fresher.

Scouring through your things, you look for one of your hair ties and muttering to yourself. Finally, having found one you spin on your heel, facing the doorway and see Hunter leaning against it. Your eyes can't help but roam over his chiseled torso as he stands before you only having taken the time to put pants on. He seems to be enjoying the view of you scouring the fresher, talking to yourself.

He crosses his arms over his chest and chuckles "What are you doing?" A smile spreads across your face, "I had an idea! Please hear me out." Stepping to the side, he watches as you walk past him back to the bed. You climb onto the bed, sitting crisscross before patting the spot in front to you. However, he doesn't move and his eyes narrow, causing his eye brows to furrow. He's pretty sure he knows where this is going...

He sighs and shakes his head "No."

"You don't even know what I'm going to do yet" you sass.

His gaze meets yours, those brown eyes full of the love the man has for you. "The last time you had an 'idea' you braided my hair and Crosshair caught wind of it...he still won't let it go."

"This is different I swear! I think you'd look great with a man bun!"

"A what?"

"A man bun" you say coyly. He thinks it over for a moment and you know can tell by his body language he's not really into it.

"You wouldn't be the only Clone whose ever done it! Tup has a man bun." A smirk makes it way on to his beautifully tattooed face but just when you think you’ve cracked him... he quirks a brow "Oh so now you've got a thing for Tup huh?"

You roll your eyes and choose not to respond to the comment. He knows where your loyalty lies, with him and him only…. “Hunter…..Pleeeeaaaassseeeee” you whine sticking your bottom lip out.

His arms drop to his sides as he sighs in defeat. Making his way over to the bed, he sits down in front of you. Your eyes can’t help but wander over his tan skin. He has a few scars on his back whose stories he’s told, time and time again. With feather light touch you trace your fingers over the scars and up his back, recalling the events of the previous night. Shaking your head to focus, you reach for his hair, pulling it back and tying it up into a bun.

You lean back to look at your handy work, smiling proudly. Hunter turns his head to look at you out of the corner of his eye. Looking at the back of his head doesn’t do a justice to how attractive he is with a bun. You can feel your eyes betray you, revealing the hunger that now pangs deep in your core. A smile tugs at the corner of his mouth, drawing your attention to his lips.

“That good huh?”

Even after all this time, he still had you weak in the knees. A nervous laugh is all you can muster up for the time being. He shifts himself so that you are now face to face and you’re heart rate spikes. “I could definitely get used to this look” you’re practically drooling at this point. Hunter reaches forward, gently grabbing you by the thighs and sliding you closer to him.

His fingers dance across your cheek as he pushes a piece of hair behind your ear “I don’t think I want you to get used to it. I kinda like when you’re a mess like this.” The palm of his hand stops on you cheek and his fingers entangle themselves in your hair. For a moment you both sit there in silence completely lost in one another’s eyes.

Hunter peppers your neck with kisses, making his way up to your ear, “I love you too.” He kisses you deeply, holding it for a moment before pulling away “I’m going to show you how much.”

went mostly concert band because. i felt like it.

TOMMY

okay. tommy is pretty typical in his love for marches. i mean there’s not much more to say there. marches are loud and fun and BRASSY!!!! he also just likes pretty silly comedy pieces! i mean. it’s tommyinnit.

out of all the pieces i chose for tommy though choose joy is my favorite. it is a pretty simple high school piece but it personally means a lot to me. it’s mostly upbeat and optimistic, but it also has some more sentimental and melodic moments that really make it a tommy piece to me lol

WILBUR

twilbur’s pieces are meant to be haunting and grand. yk the type that when they finally end you’re left thinking. wow. did that actually just happen. which i don’t think what i chose are exactly what i was looking for? but they count

also i didn’t give examples but wilbur does like to play really fast and challenging stuff too

main takeaway: tessitura wilbur will show off in any style he can

NIKI

LISTEN i know clair de lune is really basic. BUT it’s also BEAUTIFUL and I LOVE HER.

also yeah. i feel the most strongly about these pieces for niki out of anyone else so!

oh ranbus… i chose this piece because. very clearly the bass clarinet (ranboo’s instrument) stands out the most. tessitura ranboo is a person who does not stand out that much! it’s not that he’s very shy or anyhitng he’s just kinda? anxious and a little awkward? so i think having a chance to play a piece where he can really shine and prove his skills would be pretty cool. or whatever <- girl who is normal

plus i do think this piece just fits him stylistically!

Bryce

I parked the car in the garage and shut off the engine. I got out and felt the night air surrounding me.

It’s so much quieter now that the engine is off. Only the sound of the ocean and cicadas can be heard.

When I walked out I could hear Luna in the kitchen singing along to a song on the radio. It’s from the eighties I think.

When she heard me come in, her whole face transformed into a beautiful smile. Her blue-green eyes lit up like the stars. I hate that those starlit eyes will go out.

”Hey handsome I’ve missed you,“ Luna walked towards me and leaned against my chest smiling at me.

I smiled but it didn’t reach my eyes.

Her smile dimmed and she looked at me. She scrunched up her eyebrows in confusion.

But I just needed a minute to settle down. I opened the cabinet where we kept the strong stuff.

I opened a bottle of scotch. A gift from Ethan and Hayley. Who knew this is exactly what I need right now? And pour myself a drink.

I knocked it back like it was water and poured another round.

”B what’s wrong? You’re scaring me a little,“ she pulled her pink sweater closer around herself.

”I went to see my dad,“ I took a sip of my second glass of scotch.

There’s pain and confusion in her eyes. I hate seeing it there. She straightened her shoulders and looked me square in the eyes.

”What? Why didn’t you tell me? I could’ve gone with you!“ She said, coming closer. She put the glass out of my hands and placed it on the kitchen table.

”This is something I needed to do on my own. I just didn’t want anyone to come with me, since I didn’t even know if I’d have the guts to go inside,“ I admitted.

”B no one and I repeat no one would have judged you,“ her voice getting soft.

I sighed in frustration.

”Don’t you get it? I wanted to go alone…I…“ I ran out of words and shoved my hands through my hair.

I’d rather throw my glass against the wall, to see it shatter, like my heart is shattering right now. I sighed and leaned against the kitchen counter.

Luna sat down in one of the kitchen chairs. Her hands were placed over her stomach.

And I felt like even more of an asshole. I didn’t want to add any kind of stress to her. But damn it if my emotions aren’t a raging tornado inside my chest.

”I didn’t mean to keep it a secret. I needed answers. Peace. Solace. Closure. I needed something,“ I said and I could tell Lunes was mad and disappointed in me. Her eyes display everything.

”I’m just sad you didn’t tell me, Bryce. I’d be the last person to judge you. I love you. We’re getting married. We’re having twins for god's sake. I feel like you excluded me and that hurts,“ she breathed hard and I could see her pulse kick up.

The vein at her neck throbbed. Meilani is already worried about Lunes' pregnancy and wants her to be more careful and avoid any stressful situations.

I let out a breath I was holding in and sat next to her.

”I didn’t mean to hurt you. But I know how much you’d want my parents at our wedding and in our children’s lives. I tried getting some closure for myself. I wanted to get a feel for what they’re like now! I didn’t want you to get the wrong idea about them. Like some fairy tale,“ I said it and instantly regretted it.

She snorted.

”Look if you don’t want them in our lives, okay fine. But don’t treat me like an idiot. I might be blonde but I’m not stupid. I can form my own opinion. Thank you very much. You’ve kept it pretty close to what your parents have done, and that’s your right. But sometimes it feels like I don’t know you or at least not everything. Sometimes it feels like I’m on the outside looking in,“ her voice getting smaller by the second.

I wish she’d scream at me or throw things. This quietness is almost unbearable. It’s killing me. It’s different. Seeing her this quiet isn’t something I’m used to seeing.

I want to reach out my hand and touch her, but I let my hand fall to the side. I don’t think she’d welcome my touch right now.

I breathe out just to have something to do.

This is our first real fight. And so close to the wedding too.

God, what a mess I created. I reached for the glass with the drink.

And take a sip. Feeling the alcohol burn down my throat. Exactly what I needed.

”Lunes…“ I started.

She stopped me.

”Don‘t. I get that this is very personal and it’s painful to talk about. But you could’ve told me. I would’ve respected it if you said you’d want to go alone. But not saying anything? And then just drop that bomb on me? Not fucking cool Bryce!“

I sigh and put my head in my hands. She’s saying my full name instead of B. Which tells me she’s pissed and she has every right to be.

It will take some time for Luna to forgive me and get over the fact that I lied.

”I don’t even know why we’re fighting about this,“ I said and she didn't say anything to that.

”We’re fighting because we don’t keep secrets from each other Bryce. Yes, our relationship isn’t perfect. But you’re usually not a liar Bryce.“

I flinched as if she slapped me and didn't respond to her. We’re both raw from the words we exchanged. Feeling every single quiet and soft whisper, and it’s like a blow to my body.

She sighs.

”I’m sorry I didn’t mean it like that. I’m mad and sad…pregnancy hormones suck.“

We both smile at each other, but then we get serious again. We both look away. The distance between us grew by the second.

Luna fumbled with her hair and I stared off into space not sure what to say.

A lump formed in my throat again, making it difficult to swallow past it.

”I get it. It was an asshole move. But I didn’t know what to do,“ I say, my voice almost breaking at that.

Luna's face crumbled at the pain in my voice.

”Oh B,“ she murmured and I leaned on her shoulder and cried again.

She held me tight until I leaned my forehead onto her shoulder.

”Your sweater is all wet,“ my voice gruff as I wiped away some tears.

She waved me off.

”I don’t give a rat's ass about my sweater. What I do care about is you,“ she cupped my face into her hands and gave me a gentle kiss. One full of emotions. What she couldn’t say with words, she conveyed with her kiss.

When we broke apart I could see that some traces of pain were left in her beautiful blue-green eyes.

Reminding me that I was the one who put that pain there. I hung my head in shame.

”I didn’t mean to blindside you like that Lu,“ I whisper.

She sighed against me.

”I know. It hurt me and I guess…I’ll need some time to get over it. I can understand why you did it, but I’m hurt you didn’t tell me,“ she said.

I looked up at her.

”What now?“ I asked her. Completely baffled. I have no idea what to say to that.

She shrugged, distancing herself from me. Not just physically but emotionally as well, which hurt more than if she flung any objects or words at me.

I’ve never felt more apart from her than now. As if I tried to grasp her hand and it slipped out of reach.

Luna rubbed her head.

”I don’t know B. Maybe we should just go to sleep?“ She asked hesitantly as if not sure where we stood.

I nodded. Nothing is resolved. But I couldn’t be alone. Not tonight.

As much as I craved space from everyone and anyone, I’m still selfish because I wanted her next to me.

To feel her soft skin beneath my palms. To caress her body.

We walked upstairs. The whole room was tense. We silently got into our sleep attire.

Lunes put one of my Stanford t-shirts on, the ones she used as a sleep shirt, as I got in some sleep shorts resting low on my hips.

Sliding the comforter aside we got into bed. The ceiling fan was on full blast.

Even though we’re still unsure of the whole situation. One thing is for sure. Our love is still strong and it won’t die.

Later in the night, I woke up to find Luna snuggled into my side. Clutching my hand close to her cheek.

I smiled down at her. Trying to extract my hand to envelop her in my arms. She stirred slightly and saw how she was clutching my hand close to her.

”Sorry I…“ she tried to scoot away.

But I don‘t let her.

”Lunes. No matter what happens my love for you is never in doubt,“ I pulled her closer.

I felt her nod more than I could see it.

We held hands and fell asleep. We still have ways to go, but I know we’ll be alright.

You crouched next to your bed, repeatedly rubbing your eyes, as you tried to make heads or literal tails of the sight before you. Draped across your bed where Thorn had been was a massive panther.

You screwed your eyes shut and bit the inside of your cheek. Cracking one eye open, you caught sight of a paw resting on your pillow, the tips of its razor sharp claws, peeking out at you.

You squeezed your eyes shut again, pinching your own arm. Hard. The back paws dangled over the edge of your bed.

You closed your eyes again, and tugged on your earlobe. The long black tail swished through the air, a deadly metronome.

You bit down on your lip. The ears twitched slightly as if it heard your frantic heartbeat.

There was a panther in your bed.

You reached towards your nightstand, the blaster Thire had given you rested on the frosted glass surface. As your hand curled around it, finger resting on the trigger, your brain engaged.

Your gut pushed the answer forward even as your brain worked to shove it back down. It would answer so many questions. That night at the zoo. The morning outside HQ. The alley behind your apartment.

“Thorn,” you called out softly, blaster trained on the panther in case your gut was wrong.

The panther lifted its head, fixing you in its amber gaze, as it yawned, showing off its sharp teeth.

Slowly, the massive feline stretched. You watched as its muscles flexed and bunched while it moved to rest on its belly in front of you. Thorn pressed his forehead to yours, and you released the breath you’d been holding.

“Hell of a secret to keep, commander,” you whispered.

He huffed a breath out, warming your face before a large paw knocked the blaster out of your hand.

“Rude!”

He purred in response, rubbing his face against yours.

THE LIFE LIST (2025)

For a film which tries to convey some really deep emotional and humane lessons, The Life List is swimming in relatively shallow waters. This is not to say that the film isn’t relatively enjoyable, sort of in a cheesy Lifetime movie sort of way. It is just an acknowledgement that The Life List is not nearly as important or relevant as it thinks it is.

Sofia Carson is charming as Alex, a young woman who is sort of loafing through her life, working at her mom’s huge cosmetics business and living with a guy who she kind of likes, but is not exactly sold on. When her mother (Connie Britton) is diagnosed with cancer, Alex drops everything to care for her. However, when mom dies, her will cuts Alex out of the business for her sister-in-law – which Alex expected to take over – and even fires her from Alex current job.

The will suggests that Alex’ inheritance is on hold for one year. Through a series of home-taped DVD’s, mom reminds Alex of a “life list” she had made up when she was only 13 of the things she wanted to achieve. Even though she has changed a lot in the 17 or so years since she made up the list, mom feels that Alex has lost her sense of adventure, motivation and wonder.

Therefore, in order to get her part of the inheritance, Alex has the year to live out all of the wishes she made on her list all those years ago. Some of those goals are relatively simple – finish reading Moby Dick, learn to play “Claire de Lune” on the piano and to camp outside in a tent. Others are more problematic – to mend fences with her estranged father, to become a teacher and to find true love. Each time she achieves one of the things on the list, she receives another disk from her mom’s lawyer, with mom cheerleading her through from beyond the grave.

First of all, it must be nice to be rich enough to be able to basically take a year off to try to find your bliss. Most of us have to worry about stuff like rent, utilities, groceries, etc., but none of these things seem to be a concern for Alex and her large, sweet but dysfunctional family. Alex lives in a large, funky Brooklyn apartment [well, at least large for Brooklyn], and is able to eat well, take on a volunteer job and change her schedule on a whim when her quest requires.

The whole time, she insists that she isn’t doing it for the money. Right. That is obviously the answer of someone who has never in her life felt the need for basic necessities.

But, okay, Alex is rich enough to do this. That is the basic concept of the movie, so let’s allow The Life List its central conceit. Assuming Alex can afford all this, does the story work?

Basically the film sort flips back and forth between two storylines. One has Alex dealing with her grief on losing her mother, trying to deal with semi-complicated relationships with her family and friends and trying to regain her sense of wonder. At the same time, she must decide between the three men in her life – her original boyfriend Finn (Michael Rowland), a cute British teacher named Garrett (Sebastian de Souza) who works at the school she volunteers at and her new friend, her mom’s lawyer Brad (Kyle Allen).

Honestly, the life lessons sections of the film are more intriguing than the love triangle bits (one of the guys is dispatched rather early on and there is little doubt which of the other two she will end up with). None of it is really nearly as earth-shaking as the filmmakers want us to believe but taking it all in at The Life List’s level, it makes for a nice enough viewing experience.

I can pretty safely say that no one will put watching The Life List on their own personal life lists. However, if you are looking for a charming, fun and non-challenging viewing experience when scrolling through Netflix titles, you can do a lot worse.

Personally, don't get to listen to them a lot but when I do, one of my faves and the one that really makes me soft is Clair de Lune (Debussy); I wonder if she likes that too? She can even play the piano, so I can imagine her playing her fave pieces with that!

So... Heya Ein! It's been literal fucking months since you send this in but I haven't forgotten 🫡 I just procrastinated the hell out of it because the ask required research and also because Val doesn't tell me jackshit. She's quite the reserved lady... Keeping quiet even to her creator... The audacity!!

Anyways I finally come to deliver some answers! (which will be under the cut because long lmao)

Traps Disclaimer: I don't know traps. I don't know how to research traps either tbh. So I'm kind of winging this answer in the hopes that it makes at least some kind of sense.

Vals's analytical mind, observant nature and love for puzzles make it easy for her to identify and pick traps apart even when she just started out as an assassin. Her engineering studies also gave her an upper hand in the subject. So her disarming of traps is mostly analysing the bigger picture and then disintegrating the part of the trap that would do you harm with her Storm Flames. This means that while she sometimes just needs to take care of a small part of trap (for example the trigger that would set it off) at other times she just needs to get rid of the thing in its entirety or even spring the trap because everything else would be too much of a hassle.

Eyes Thank you for wanting to draw her 🥹🥹🫂💜💜 I haven't tried it myself yet because I'm honestly not sure on how to do her justice (<- this user doesn't know how to draw wrinkles in her style to safe her life) but dear @discendia actually did an absolute fantastic job of it, so now there's a Val visual!! As for her sons eye colour: Yes, he shares the same eye colour than her late husband (may he rest in peace 🙏).

Favourite music This might have been the most difficult question to answer simply because I don't know music OTL. I do enjoy instrumential music a lot but I don't know classics, which made answering tricky. Thankfully @myrmyrtheorca came to my rescue and saved my ass 🫡 You're a gem buddy!

Val has a fondness for waltz because her husband and her often danced together to it so we have:

Dmitri Shostakovich - Waltz No. 2

Aram Khachaturian - Masquerade Suite - Waltz

This one isn't a waltz but it's the kind of upbeat and fast paced she also likes Hungarian Dance no. 5.

Tchaikovsky - Valse Sentimentale okay this piece is less one of her favourites and more kind of a theme song for her and her husband because when I listened to this I got a lot of... bittersweet sad vibes and that reminded me of them.

I honestly don't know if you can play these pieces on piano? I would think if you could she would play them (music is really one of my weaknesses sometimes). But Val doesn't just like playing piano she also likes listening to classical music even going on live concerts for it when she has the time.

Chill culture Unlike certain other people I could name, Val has a very healthy work life balance which is mostly based on the fact that she was unwilling to compromise on her time with her son. It was hard at the beginning but with time and experience she got into a rhythm which she maintains with stubborn determination. She rises and sleeps early. She takes scheduled breaks. Vacation days aren't gathering dust and she will go on sick leave if needed. Unlike Dan who needs to be dragged from the office more often than not (he's also in fact not listening lmao).

Hair dye And it wouldn't be a proper Ein ask with me throwing in a snippet, would it? It's a bit on the shorter side but here you go!

Steaming hot water ran down Val’s back, washing away sticky sweat and doing wonders for the tension in her muscles. Training had been rewarding but her body wasn’t what it used to be, long since worn down by age and numerous injuries. Heat helped but something always complained even on the good days.

That’s the cost of living, I suppose.

Humming a nonsensical tune Val turned off the water and blindly reached for her shampoo bottle. She squeezed some product into her hand, eyes still closed and ready to massage it into her hair when a sharp smell reached her nose.

Val froze.

She gave up scented shampoos and soaps decades ago when subterfuge and stealth took priority over unnecessary comfort. With time reaching for the simple products on the shelf became a habit she never saw the point in breaking. Most of the fancy stuff irritated her skin anyways, it wasn’t a huge loss.

However, this begged the question:

Why the hell did her shampoo smell like ammonia?

Brightly coloured hair and a mischievous smile came to mind. Talking a mile a minute about how she would look great in red.

That little brat!

With a wave of her hand, Flames sparked to life, ridding her off the dye staining her skin. She left the bottle and its nefarious contents alone, better to have some evidence as backup just in case.

She dried herself in record time, put her wet hair up in a bun and grabbed some fresh clothes out of her closet. Her shirt was still half unbuttoned when she reached for her trusty naginata, ready to make a pesky little nuisance regret all his life choices.

^so yes Dave got caught and Val was not amused. He survived her warth but definitely needed to pay Varia medical a visit.

Maxi Val's love is equally returned by her son. Their relationship isn't without conflict because even though Val tried her best she was still extremely busy in her early assassin days, needing to leave Maxi with friends for days during her numerous missions. But he learned that he will always be her priority and that she will always come running if he calls her. Somtimes Val can get a bit overbearing because she's super paranoid that someone will take Maxi from her the same way her husband was burtally ripped from her life. Maxi tries to be understanding but he has limits (and he's a teenager) so he sometimes storms of in a huff to sleep over at his friends after they fight.
