𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔  𝒐𝒇  𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒕𝒚  𝒔𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒕  𝒕𝒉𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉  𝒉𝒊𝒔  𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒄𝒂𝒈𝒆   ,   𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒉𝒊𝒔  𝒃𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒔  to  the  beat  of  the  bass  playing  overhead   .   the  sensation   ,   nothing  short  of  adrenaline   ,   makes  him  hunger  for  a  thrill that  would  make  him  feel  less  like  an  insatiable  god  and  more  like  a  boy  who’s  afraid  to  die  alone   .   a  boy  who’s  desperate  and  would  do  anything  to  feed  the  emptiness   .   what  a  feeling   ,   to  be  so  mortal   .   lyric’s  addicted  to  it   .   and  because  death  can’t  court  him   ,   there’s  no  hesitation  to  indulge  in  such  reckless behaviour   .   to  do  absolutely  anything   .   there’s  something  desolate  in  the  hypnotic  melody  of  the  song  that  booms  through  the  speakers   .   a  reminder  that  anyone  who  hears  the  discordance  has  a  hole  within  them   .   he  embraces  the  music  ,  the  trance  it  puts  him  in   ,   as  he  was  the  one  who  carved  the  hole  in  between  his  lungs  where  love  should  be  poured  into  .  the  echoes  within  the  cage  harmonizes  with  the  song  that’s  almost  too  sad  for  its  bouncing  beat   .   a  thunderstorm  looms  underneath  his  skin  and  he  searches  for  someone  that  would  dance  with  him  in  the  torrents   .   it  isn’t  going  to  be  hard   ,   the  godforsaken  prince  can  see  similar  eyes  in  all  the  others  that  arrived  at  the  equally  godforsaken  party   .   whether  or  not  they’re  truly  lonely  or  playing  a  velvet - robed  role  like  him  is  something  that  lyric  doesn’t  trifle  with   .   it’s  a  game  of  roulette  to  see  how  far  others  will  go   .   as  soon  as  he  places  his  bets  onto  the  table   ,   he  realizes  he  desires  a  certain  outcome   .   to  see  a  certain  pair  of  crystal  sugar  eyes   that  can  match  the  thrills  on  his  fingertips  with  peppermint  kisses   .   to  gamble  with  hope  is  a  dangerous  game   .   if  he  had  a  heart  in  his  hollow  chest   ,   he’d  be  in  love  with  playing  it   .

𝒅𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈  𝒊𝒏  𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏   ,   𝒉𝒊𝒔  𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉  𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒔  𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒆  𝒇𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒄  𝒕𝒐  𝒇𝒊𝒏𝒅  what  he  knows  will  curb  his  hunger   .   of  course   ,   even  the  saccharine  taste  of  his  candied  lip  gloss  will  only  satisfy  lyric  for  so  long  before  the  young  god  becomes  bored   .   maybe  that’s  why  the  two  get  along  so  well   ,   they’re  well  aware  that  they  exist  in  each  other’s  lives  only  to  satisfy  the  other’s  desires    .    lyric’s  not  entirely  sure  on  what  the  syrupy  heart  of  his  prize  desires   ,   though   he  knows  he  must  have  some  sway  over  it   .   on  the  contrary  ,  he  knows  very  well  what  his  own  hollowness  desires  and  when  he  wants  it  to  be  fulfilled   .   it  arrives  in  fleeting  moments  and  lyric  can  let  moments  take  over  him  like  tidal  waves  where  nothing  else  matters  but  the  magnificent  force   .   it’s  how   ,   when  he  sees  the  familiar  mess  of  hair  that  tempts  him  like  candy  floss   ,   he  rushes  over  as  though  pocky  is  the  only  thing  in  the  world  that  could  fill  his  empty  chest   .   ❝   there’s  my  delicious  candy  pop   ,   ❞   the  prince  calls  out   ,   ❝   i’ve  been  looking  for  you   .  everyone  else  tastes  so  dull   ,   i  need  to  have  something  to  make  tonight  worthwhile  .   ❞   and  ,  to  place  a  perfectly  sweet  maraschino  cherry  on  top  of  his  offer  ,   lyric  reaches  up  to  run  a  hand  through  pocky’s  hair   ;   an  act  of  intimacy  that  makes  the  adrenaline  pulse  through  his  veins  all  the  quicker   .   it’s  always  in  the  sweet  nothings   .
