My answer is, of course, Molly Hooper! (She’s probably my all-time favorite fictional character. As much as I love Sherlock Holmes, in all of his various adaptations, Molly will always hold a special place in my heart!

I’m so in love with the song Dynamite by Sigra for Reylo. Then I read this lovely little ficlet by @luminescentglow who was inspired by the same thing! That gave me the idea to write a POV swap ficlet, since that one focuses on Kylo/Ben’s thoughts. Read that one too, it’s lovely! ❤️💙

For Better or for Worse

Rey leaned against a tree in the darkened forest of Ajan Kloss, shutting her eyes and wishing, begging, for clarity and peace.

Sometimes she truly did feel like she had no place in this story, like she didn’t belong in this universe full of important people and their impressive legacies.

His universe.

In a way, Rey wished there weren’t those little moments when Kylo- Ben- made her feel like she’s everything instead of being nothing. That would make it less painful. Never knowing where they truly stood with each other was worse than the certainty of rejection.

As it was, her heart felt torn, like he took a piece of it every time they met miraculously across the expanse of space. That occasional connection never stopped after Crait and she wondered if it ever would. The sweet torment left her cold, and she hated that feeling, always craving warmth instead.

Ben looked so warm...his hand reaching out, ready to take hers.

Rey missed him.

She drew a deep and slow breath, trying to remind herself that though they’re on different paths, headed for different things, perhaps she could still change that. Perhaps there was still hope.

Rey knew she’d see him again someday, and soon. She could feel it, and suspected he did too. And she knew he was probably so confident, so sure of getting what he wanted. So safe and solid on his own side.

But Rey smiled to herself as she looked up into the expanse of space, knowing he should not feel quite so untouchable, so unmovable.

He may be a mountain...but she is dynamite.
