I nearly laughed hysterically when someone on twitter compared NaruHina to LuHan (Luffy x Hancock) and LuNa (Luffy x Nami) to NaruSaku and let me tell you why:

NaruHina vs LuHan

1. Naruto dense as he is was oblivious to Hinata’s feelings for him. Luffy rejected our pre-menopausal snake twice when she suggested she would be a “good wife”.

2. Hinata’s goal was to follow Naruto’s path and stand beside him every step of the way but she never forced herself on him. Ever. All Hammock dreams about is being Luffy’s wife to the point of obsessing over him.

3. Hinata was a sweet shy naive girl whereas Hammock is an obnoxious narcissistic and frankly overly ripe cougar obsessing over a 19 year old boy who was the 1st man to ever treat her right. Hammock’s personality is trash as well. That’s just very very sad.

4. NaruHina has some of comedic aspects in the manga but they’re far outweighed by the seriousness of Hinata’s feelings towards Naruto, her sincere admiration, desire to become stronger so he would acknowledge her. Hancock’s daydreaming about being Luffy’s wife is always comically interrupted by Gloriosa.

NaruSaku vs LuNami

1. Unlike NaruSaku, neither Luffy nor Nami have a very clear love interest they’ve clearly professed their love to (Sakura’s love for Sasuke). It was never a love triangle it was just team 7 where Sakura has always had feelings for Sasuke and he ended up reciprocating them.

2. Unlike Nami and Luffy’s, Naruto and Sakura’s dynamic has always been that of siblings. Moreover, they bonded over a common goal of bringing Sasuke back. There was really nothing more to that, no other points of tension between the two. Nami and Luffy have a different kind of bond - Luffy has become a major stepping stone for Nami’s character development.

3. Unlike Naruto and Sakura, Luffy and Nami are bound by their need for one another: Luffy cannot sail the seas without his Navigator, and Nami cannot realize her dream without Luffy. Even if Oda decides to end OP with the SH crew not settling down and ruling over the seas, how is Luffy supposed to do it without Nami?

Anyhow, I’ve just scratched the surface of how ridiculous drawing parallels between the two universes’ pairings is. There’s a lot more reasons why they are incomparable. I just had to vent..

Being new to time travel, you had alot of mistakes and accidents. One accident turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to you. 

The small community of people had been shocked when you had randomly shown from nowhere. You took in as much as you could, trying to work out where you were, thought that was cut short when somebody has alerted guards about the stranger in the area. 

The guards took moments to gather around you, dragging your exhausted body to the tallest structure for the King to decide what happens to you.   

Luckily the king was nowhere to be found, so the prince was summoned fora guidance. The young man that stood before you offered you time to speak, which you used to explain your situation as best as possible in your state without him thinking you were some sort of nut case or threat.   

He believed your story and took pity on you, deciding to help you. He brought you into his home and started to help you as much as possible. He brought you tea and soup suggested by the on site medic to speed up the process.  

As time went by, the two of you had become friends; he would join you for meals, tell you about his duties and when you could, he would give you a tour of his kingdom, often stopping out to watch the night sky together.  

The morning you decided you were now ready to go home, Luhan had become upset; he wasn’t ready for you to leave him, but he would never ask you to give up your place in your own time for him.

You pulled on the clothes you had arrived in, neatly setting the traditional clothing down to be left behind. 

“Thank you for everything,” your words broke his trance on the floor.    

“Remember me,” he offered a small smile as he handed you a jewel encrusted brooch. 

His eyes stayed fixed on the spot where you stood mere seconds ago, allowing himself time to compose himself before returning to his life. 

Along your ability training, you did your research on Prince Luhan, wanting to know how his life went, and learn some more about him before you returned for a visit.

You had decided that you were now strong enough to be able to jump between times without being completely drained, so you planned you trip back.  

You attached the broach to your jacket and said goodbye to your own time, letting yourself transport back to the time of the prince. 

Instead of the small village, you decided to go straight to the King’s home, once more startling and angering the guards. 

Luhan wandered into the room to find out what was causing such commotion, ready to scold, but all anger left him when he heard your voice. 

“I need a place to stay,” your call made him demand the guards stand back. He stared at you in disbelief. He had dreamed of you returning for years, and you never did. The change in your appearance from the dream you is what made him sure this was real.

Before his guards could see the tears collecting in his eyes, he dismissed them with a wave then turned to walk out into the garden. 

You followed, leaning against the door, watching him stare at the dimming sky while he processed your presence. 

“I need a hug,“ he spoke quietly, making you move to wrap yourself around him.  

“I thought I’d never see you again,” 

“I’m stronger now, I can come and visit you for as long as I want, whenever I want,” you grinned, an action he mirrored. 

“I look forward to our time together.”

No one is pathetic because they are hurting. People have killed themselves because they feel like they’ve lost the only thing keeping them alive, people like you need to keep your mouth fucking shut.

I wrote out four paragraphs for you– but i’m not gonna do all that and give you the short version sweaty.

no one is pathetic for hurting, they’re pathetic for treating someone whom they clam to be fans of as nothing but sex icons or something to please you when you’re upset. They are people with feelings and emotions and they deserve the right to happiness just like your bitch ass does, i guess. It’s abusive when it gets to the point that you are denying them children, or the right to fall in love, basic human needs that we all strive for. Or shoving things on them that you don’t know are true and saying that they are. Especially if they’ve clearly said that they aren’t. ( i.e Yoongi is straight, even though he’s said gender doesn’t matter to him in both interviews and in the lyrics to cypher part 3.) Or expecting them to operate under your terms or terms that satisfy you. i.e people complaining about a comeback 6 months after wings came out or seeing nothing wrong with constantly working with nothing to eat just bc you get to see them out of it. And it’s wrong because you should have more value and self worth to put all of your time, energy and love into someone you don’t know. (it doesn’t matter how many interviews you watch, you’ll never know what Luhan is like behind closed doors.) Put all of that time into growing a succulent garden, or buy and ESA (emotional support animal) and give him/her all your love? Put your time into a hobby you forgot. Deciding to hurt your body because someone you claim to be a fan of is in a happy, loving relationship that you don’t even know will last is sad; it’s not worth it and again circles around to being abusive…. It’s the whole “if I can’t have him, no one can.” mentality. And imagine how that would make your precious Lu ge feel?

So no anon, it’s people like you who need to keep their fucking mouths shut.

You thought the morning after your first time with Luhan would be quiet, sweet and loving, instead, the sound of his yelling pulled you from your comfortable sleep. You glanced to his side of the bed to see if he was there before wrapping the sheet around your naked form and setting off to find out what was causing him to be so loud.

You found him in the bathroom, stood on the scale, body still fully exposed. “You okay?” you asked, leaning against the door frame. “Look!” he beamed, grabbing your hand and pulling you so you could see the digital numbers on the small screen. “Yeah?” you rubbed your eyes after the inspection in attempt to wake yourself up more. “I gained weight!” he moved from the scales to wrap his arms around you tightly. “You’re really my mate!” he leaned in to press a kiss over the faint bite marks left on your neck.  

“Can we be excited about this later? It’s still early...” your sleepy words earned you a chuckle from him. “Of course, honey,” he whispered, picking you up to carry you back to the bedroom.
