I draw Ludo and his henchman in Cocoa's sight. So I could understand her character more.
There might be part 2 for this because I want to draw more. But it's not that necessary.

What if like... Ludo Avarius didn't like Star's decisions to destroy magic.

I saw some people talking about the SvTFoE ending, and it dawned on me about a fanfic of Ludo, who, by this point in time, is trying his damn best to have a new leaf in life. So imagine if his reaction to when his castle with his brothers and sister were transported to an unknown terrain with neighbors that may not be as friendly or simply are also incredibly confused as to why the worlds have been transformed. He knows that the only person with so much power can do that, and it is Star Butterfly.

Interestingly enough, violence from monsters against mewmens seems more acceptable if it is, for want of a better word, "apolitical", looking at the relatively sympathetic monsters who are violent against mewmens, none of them seem motivated by injustice: Ludo is motivated by a seemingly pathological lust for power, and hardly even seems aware that monsters are oppressed at all: Rasticore is more of a joke character than anything, and his attempts on Star and Marco's lives or freedoms aren't taking at all seriously. Notably, he, too, seems ambivalent towards his own oppression, and only wants to harm our protagonists in his capacity as a mercenary, once things get too weird for him, he tries to leave; Globgor's past as a warlord is framed outside of the context of the wider genocide that was going on at the time, he didn't burn down the Spiderbite village as part of a wider resistance against Solaria, he did it because he was a cannibal warlord and that's what cannibal warlords do.
Meanwhile, characters who are motivated by injustice are treated far less sympathetically, even though their crimes aren't necessary worse than their less political counterparts- Meteora is still sympathetic, motivated by her desire to claim her rightful place at the head of the Butterfly family, but she's also framed as crazy and dangerous, someone who ultimately needs to be put down through violence; with Eclipsa seeming surprised that her spell merely reduced her to a baby. But even Meteora gets off easy next to poor Toffee, who's melted as though he was the most vile villain in the series when in reality, half the characters we're supposed to forgive are as bad as him or worse; even Moon, whose mother he is responsible for killing, armed hundreds of genocidal Solarian Warriors and was forgiven near instantly, and the less said about Solaria's "redemption", the better.

It’s been years but I wanna say that Star vs the Forces of evil is a funny show.
It was like “Watch this magic princess fight the forces of evil! Watch her fight these evil monsters!”
Then later, in season 1 still, it planted seeds of “Wait why are monsters evil? Is it because they’re just monsters? Can there be a good Monster?”
And then eventually the show was like “I know you’ve all been enjoying Star fighting against the forces of evil, but you know what’s really evil? Racism. Let’s watch the princess become actively anti-racist”
Beautiful character arc, but a little funny to me all these years later

Yo hold up! Ludo knew about the existence of that abandoned corn mill because it was given to Pemma Avarius by Crescenta the Eager! Crescenta gave the Avarius family corn to hand out to the Monsters, mills to grind it with, and most likely slaves to power those mills if those shackles are anything to go off of.
(Oh, sorry, not "slaves." "Political prisoners.")

Star vs the Forces of Evil could have been so much more interesting, were it not the way it was, but was a different way instead.

Well.... it seems as if Ludo managed to be good for something after all! I don't think Toffee will be happy about this.
