Luffy

Uses the pokeballs that he finds the coolest looking, usually fastballs.

Chimchar just seems like the best starter option for Luffy, other being Grookey but I went with a fire type. There is several monkey pokemon that could be on his team, maybe he has them in the box.

Scizor and Heracross because Luffy loves collecting bugs, plus Scizor, Clobbopus and Breloom all fight using punches. Also Breloom has a hat and a shiny version is red.

Fighting type is also fitting for Luffy.

Talonflame as a reference to red hawk move.

Zoro

Doesn't care about pokeball types so uses plain npokeballs, with the exception of cherishball that holds Kuina's Gallade. Only has 3 pokemon, cause, you know.

All three pokemon seem selfexplanatory why I picked them for Zoro? Gallade's story was here.

He easily went through rock and grass gyms with Treecko and Charcadet but got stuck at fighting gym because of Kuina.

Nami

Uses luxuryballs, probably stollen.

Found shiny Purrloin in a trash as a kid and took it home. Has a team of sneaky cats with Meowth being a lucky charm in their heist.

Castform and Wingul as a reference to her navigation skills/role in canon.

Nickit could be on the team but I thought it'd fit Karina more with the whole cat and fox dynamic. Done it here.

Usopp

Bug collector and uses netballs, probably has every bug pokemon and a few shinies in the box.

His Heracross often spars with Luffy's.

Doesn't collect badges but somehow ended up earning one in a ghost gym.

Probably has Smeargle and Kecleon in the box.

Sanji

Is a sea cook so he fishes a lot, uses lureballs, diveballs and netballs, which is funny because I forgot to give him a water type on the team let's just say he has them in a box. He feeds wild pokemon.

Blaziken is just a pokemon version of Sanji pretty much and Tsareena seems right for his team… for several reasons.

Alcremie is just one of the many food related pokemon that Sanji probbaly has.

Ninetails and Zorua mainly because Sanji assosiates with a fox for me, been thinking of Alolan Vulpix line and Hisuian Zorua line as options too, but went with fire type because of Sanji's moves and a dark type for how sneaky he usually is during story arcs.

Gardevoir as a counterpart to Zoro's Gallade.

Been thinking of giving him Skiddo because of Oda's words that Sanji's animal self would be a goat and grass types just seemed fitting with all the ingredients that grow on themselves? Maybe a flying type too.

Thinking about how Dawn was very clearly established as a member of the Pokémon Journeys Quartet and yet she was never in any of the character returns after her own and never showed up after the Leon fight.

Like- we could’ve gotten Dawn reuniting with Iris or meeting the Alola Class for the first time. It’s such a missed opportunity I’m ngl.

Can you imagine if they had used her cameos to instead of showcasing legendaries, to showcase past companions???? Like, it could even make easier for Goh and Chloe to fit in and all that yknow?

Like, we get Gary in sinnoh doing some research for project mew (take the alolan ninetails thing and give to him) and she is there, and it makes easier for Goh to see him as a rival but also as a cool dude cause hey, if Dawn really likes Gary, he cant be that bad right?

We get her and Serena getting ready to meet May for a contest or something and then DAWN brings Chloe into it cause it makes more sense that way. And I get Dawn doing /something/ but also we stabilish that Serena takes inspo from her appeals and thats how they met (cause Serena did a thing that looked like ice chandelier and thats canon in my heart)

Have her appear before Iris left or keep Iris in the tournament watching Ash (why did she leave anyway?) so they could both cheer for him like the biggest supporters they are.

Scrap any of the useless Mezamas episodes and replace it with Dawn getting Ambipom and have the 2 most epic pokeani encounters of all time (Dawn and Ambipom, Dawn and Misty).

There was so many chances for her to just add so much in general. And we were robbed and Im still sad

my dragon that I made in 2021 or 2022!! i hated painting them but i love how its so light because i made it out of armature wire wrapped in tinfoil on the meaty parts and covered it in clay, very easy to transport, its lighter than the catnessa sculpture

also funny thing is that i finished painting it (gave up and just called it a day) last year around the time as i made the croc because i gave up on painting it all in 2022, the bottom was mostly white because i didnt paint it, the eyes i gave up on, etc

its kinda like an icewing from wof with its spikes, but i just created a regular ol european dragon

and finally the dragon something pot pet (i forgot the name but we had to make one) i made in third grade 💀

dont make fun of him guys 😭😭 at least you can put water into his mouth and itll go into the pot thingy

A moment - PMD Comic

This takes place in Frosty Grotto and way before Darnell gifted Treecko the special twig.

Darnell was accused of being the human who abandoned Gardevoir from the Ninetails legend, but both Darnell and Treecko knew it wasn't true, because he was never a human to begin with. With the whole square against them, they had no choice but to make a run for it. By the time they reach Frosty Grotto, things take a bit of a sharp turn, as Darnell and Treecko struggle against a group of Metangs. Due to Treecko's arrogance, she ended up taking the most damage. However, thanks to Darnell and his Mud Bomb, the battle had barely come to a stopping point, giving him the opportuinity to carry Treecko to safety. After going from floor to floor, Darnell found shelter. He then, took out the bag to see if there was anything that could help Treecko with her injuries--only one oran berry remained in the bag; Darnell was lucky enough to have just a single oran berry leftover. Just when he was about to give Treecko the oran berry, she wakes up, ready to fight once more. Darnell was shocked, considering her injuries--he wanted her to rest, but Treecko insisted they keep moving, despite what had happened.

Darnell couldn't understand why Treecko acts this way, but at the same time, it makes him happy to see her that way. Seeing Treecko have such a high spirit makes him wish he could be just as courageous.

i met a ninetales the other day that knew fireblast. and i can hear you thinking "thats not unusual" but get this.

it was alolan. an alolan ninetales. with fireblast. is that not weird as hell???

Actually, believe it or not I've heard reports of this happening before!!

We aren't sure what the cause of this is, but this IS an example of glitch variants of pokemon being present outside Glitch city. In this case, Alolan Ninetails do not appear at all in Glitch City, but the firebreathing glitch variant can still appear in regions with Alolan Ninetails anyway!

Anyway, you're very lucky to have found one! The glitch variants of Alolan Ninetails are rather rare. But they DO have a lot of potential as battle pokemon due to their unique coverage!

skz and their pokemon companions

chan: mabosstiff - i got two words for you: big. dog. chan would absolutely adore a huge dog by his side. on top of that, it's a dark type and they usually have pretty high attack stats. chan strikes me as the kind of trainer you don't want to just run into and his mabosstiff would make that even clearer.

minho: liepard - fast. cunning. clever. all things you can expect both from minho and the pokemon he would want by his side. it can be vicious in battles and is the compliment dark type to the variety of other types minho has in his arsenal. he's a well-rounded trainer with a lot of strong pokemon you also don't want to just run into.

changbin: snorlax - okay, so partner might be a little bit of a stretch here since it literally sleeps most of the time but he's also binnie's best friend and he always has his ball on him. he's not a regular part of the team but if you ever show up to a poke center and there's just a snorlax chillin' in the lobby you can bet changbin isn't far away.

hyunjin: espurr - hyunjin seems the type to be immensely curious of the world of psychic types and would easily love and adore an espurr. he would fall in love with the small pokemon and even if he hasn't had it long espurr would see that hyunjin is pure of heart and be endlessly dedicated to such a caring trainer. they make a perfect team.

jisung: togedemaru - they're basically the same: small, rodent-like creatures that are constantly overly energetic. chan says that jisung catching a togedemaru was fate, because only a togedemaru could ever match jisung's energy levels. he doesn't disagree, and he and his little friend have been inseparable ever since.

felix: ninetails (alolan) - when felix was young, he always wanted a vulpix, a normal one, but he was lucky enough to catch himself an alolan one when he got older and vowed to always, always cherish it. she's been his best friend and best partner ever since, a perfect compliment to felix's sometimes fiery, competitive spirit.

seungmin: mismagius - seungmin loves giving his friends a good fright and his partner is the perfect pokemon for the job. jisung swears he would be better off with something else, anything other than a creepy ghost pokemon, but as much as seungmin loves her, she loves him even more.

jeongin: servine - the pokemon that he started his journey with, servine is a very special pokemon to jeongin and one he intends on taking with him everywhere. he's not quite evolved all the way yet but jeongin considers himself also not quite evolved all the way yet so he looks forward to growing with his servine when it eventually turns into a serperior.

Fuck that’s a hard one, I’m a big fan of Shyamin and jirachi both. Also celebi lore-wise, but it’s definitely lower power wise in legendary sake.

If I had to pick a favorite I guess I’d say laitias, Kyrem, or girtina?

I Also absolutely subscribed to the ogerpon train! It’s so cute and adore it and I want to give it a hug and make sure no one bullies it every again.

What gym type/theme would you have?

Fairy or fire.

I’ll start with fairy because I’ve thought about this one more:

-my favorite type! Also a type I think fits well with my personality and preferences for puzzles.

-my ace would probably be a togekiss, as that was originally my plan when I first thought about this, but since scarlet and violet maybe a tinkaton? I like tinkaton a lot.

-I’d also definitely have a sylveon and Alolan ninetails since those are two Pokémon I like a lot.

-as you could probably tell from all these evolved Pokémon, I’d prefer to be later in the gym challenge! Maybe not last though.

-if I had to be an early fairy type leader though, I’d pick a a a mawlie as my ace. And maybe have a alcreamie?

-id wear a black dress but then have a bunch of colorful pastel accessories. Do you see the vision?

-gym puzzle would probably involve art of some kind, like a fun paint the wall challenge.

For fire types:

-this type has grown a lot over the years. If I was an actual Pokémon trainer and not a gym leader I’d specialize in both of these probably.

-I’d have some kind of climbing puzzle. Because fuck yeah. And I know it’s usually associated with rock types but it feels fitting for fire types too. I can just put fake Lava under it.

-okay I imagine fire type gym leader me would be pretty early, so I’d probably have a fenekin of braxian, maybe a houndour, and a lampert or litwick!

-but for my rematch(or if I was later) GIVE ME A TALONFLAME! GIVE ME A CHANDELURE! GIMME A VOLCARONA! Three of my favorite Pokémon of all time!

-talonflame is super underrated. Such a cool Pokémon, needs more love. I want one so badly.

-I would absolutely dye my hair red for this.

doing like 5 important things in my mind, this is for Crow

1. Eldritch being who can flip his shit on a dime, was created from a mad science experiment

2. He has a dead brother ghost (clark) who is practially older than him but often mistaken as his younger brother.

3. He is mainly MLM/Masc attracted, and often calls himself gay though he has had some feelings for those who weren't masc.

4. Can and will flip his switch at any time at the smallest thing, so he bfs usually hang with him to calm him down.

5. This man has like 15 boyfriends and his polycule just keeps growing.

6. Extra fact, he's one of the many ocs that have a bunch of spinoff ocs off of. and ngl I think he was originally inspired off Castiel.

FOR like absolutely no reason I got the grover inspiration, think I had recently heard more news about the new live action series based on percy jackson.

And I think it was also as a counter of his counterpart being a lion who was actually really tame/docile and limboheart was very aggressive and just violent.

but both are fucking insane ngl. Lionheart (counterpart) literally took a gunshot to the ankle and kept moving, and then basically seduced all the major crime bosses.

While limboheart is just a salty man because he hasn't confessed to his crushes.

1. Clark died from a deadly allergic reaction to cats, he still loves cats as a ghost and does not care

2. He looks like 10 usually, but he's actually an adult. It just feels weird to him generally to shapeshift into an adult, and when he does it's usually like his idol who has a ton of cats.

3. Clark will scare the living daylights out of anyone who hurts his family or those he considers family, but is also a prankster.

4. He loves being a trickster, and candy, even though he can't really eat he can and will steal candy.

5. He refuses to go into anyone's body, even if it's a robot or his own corpse. He doesn't like the feeling

6. If he didn't die, he would embarrass the hell out of his brother Crow around the other's crushes and probably would get oftenly in fights but in like a sibling way.

additions, Crow has a fondness for birds and is known for his pet Lucky the yellow and peach lovebird

And crow and clark 100% would adopt like any abandoned pet they find.

1. He's gone through many changes, but he's half corruptin ; type of vaguely object species that can shapeshift into liquid and disappear in the shadows, and half ashen ; the object species of ashopia, in the original concept he was a petty man who didn't care about like anyone and was a spy, but now he blorbo

2. He has some ninetails/Kumiho inspiration, just like generally trickster fox spirit, also he has tattoos.

3. ITS not shown in the art with philip n pico but he actually has splatters/veritgo on his legs and arms plus body/face, two on his legs when looked straight on look like a heart together.

4. He has like 2 exes who are poptarts/strudels, which weren't the best. The one was with a woman who was honestly really toxic and borderline abusive to him, and the other was another poptart who had a chunk missing from her head. The two were engaged but things were broken up due to Razzy (poptart) originally using him for information on the corruptins, though they're slowly mending things.

5. He loves the shadows and collecting shells, and used to live in a cave though has upgraded to a house with the poly gang.

6. The ice powers were inspired by ninjago, and there's even an art piece inspired by the old ninjago intro, though there was no one inplace for Wu or Lloyd. But Franny was Zane which inspired his ice powers.

7. franny really hasn't had any major spinoff ocs, him and pico generally being tied in the main 5 poly gang members for having the least amount of characters that were spinoffs of these two. Also franny was the (unofficial) ashopia rep for poly gang, and Pico was the shape people rep, Retired was the l0s rep, Allie W was the Mlp ng rep (an old group).

Eevee(lutions) raichu warturtle hm yeah these are my main favs. Theres also like both gender meowsticks and espurr theyre very cool, klefki i liked later on its really cute, ehh idk, i don’t remember any more on the spot. Scorbunny and the 2nd evo is cool, oh yeah and fenniken and braixen. A lot of my favs are kalos pokemon lol. Yeah. Piplup is partially because dawn has it as starter in anime and shinx is cute and clemont has one and i saw it and was ohh damn thats a cute one. Zorua minchicco cottonee idk how to spell minchicco. Zoruas really cute its a little gremlin. Why the fuck am i going through the dex at 130 am i want to sleep. Fletchingder line i like that theyre pretty. Flabebe is cute and helioptyle?? Is very cool too. Zygard is so cool and litten is cute. Rockruff has cool design and is cute, comfey is something ive liked for some time but never knew its name lmao, sprigatito line is so cute i love them..okaybthats all i have no more. Actually froakie line i like hem all not just greninja theyre just cool. A lot of my favs are cute or fox/cat/dog mixes somewhat lol. Decudieye rowlet final evo idk how tf do you spell pokemon names is really cool too i like the archer design thats all i like bows and arrows hehe. Yeah no more i think, some are like i think there cool but not cool enough to be what i like enough kinda.

Eeveelutions are my top tho. I love them. Ill take anything eevee related. I got meowstick charms at a con, really lucky bc meowstick are soooo underrated. Or kinda more like i never really see stuff that have them. Actually some in the ones i said above arent that fav its like not what id want but theyre cute enough.
