Yoko: *still processing the situation*
Enid: "I wish I could just hide"
Yoko: "Look Enid. Sometimes we like people so much that we can't help but have strong feelings for them."
Enid: "I know. But feelings for Wednesday? Wednesday and feelings don't mix. They aren't even in the same sentence! Unless someone says Wednesday has no feelings"
*Enid looks defeated*
Yoko: "True. But you don't know what Wednesday thinks"
Enid: "That's the problem! I don't!"
Yoko: "Maybe you should ask her"
Enid: "Ask her what? What's she thinking?"
Yoko: "How she feels about you"
Enid: "Yeah, that would go well. 'Hey Wednesday, I know you don't care about anyone, but how do you feel about me?'. It's like asking a werewolf how they feel about the stars"

Doctor Wednesday Pt2
Gentle!Wednesday x Selective!Mute!Male!Reader
Reader is on the Autism spectrum.
Summary: You feel overwhelmed and Wednesday comforts you because you're her favourite person.
Words: 1786
Wednesday POV
"Is he okay?" Enid asked me, worried for Y/Ns condition.
"He'll be fine soon enough, his fever is getting better, though not yet in the normal range. He's still quite congested. I'm constantly checking him over. I haven't left his side." I say to the werewolf. "I won't leave him alone until I'm confident that he's well enough to resume classes."
She smiled at me, deviously. "What?" I ask her, wanting to know what she found so obviously amusing.
"You're so in love, Wednesday it's insane." She laughed as she spoke. I hate to admit it, but Enid is most certainly correct. I am in love with my beautiful Y/N, and I'm not ashamed to admit that, not at all. Though I am ashamed to admit that Enid is proven right.
I let out a sharp exhalation, expressing my annoyance with the werewolf. "You're enjoying the fact that you're right about me, aren't you?" A rhetorical question, but she answers anyway.
"Umm absolutely! You're so in love with him. And now you're basically his personal doctor. How romantic!" She exclaims excitedly, luckily no one heard as we were in our dorm.
"I didn't want to take him to the infirmary. The nurses completely disregard his needs everytime he goes there. I won't put him through any unnecessary discomfort if I can prevent it. Besides, I'm far more qualified to take care of him than those pitiful excuses for nursing staff" I scoff, their incompetence definitely shows.
My eyes dart over to Y/N sleeping figure, I only hope he's not in anymore pain when he regains consciousness.
"Anyways, would you like to go out with me and Yoko to Jericho this afternoon?" She asked, but I gave her a look of disapproval.
"Go out with you and the vampire while Y/N remains alone in bed? No thank you, I have a patient to look after. Like I said, I'm not leaving him." I say, shutting down Enid's suggestion immediately.
Y/N began to stir in his sleep, whimpers of discomfort causing worry to flow through me. "Enid leave now. Y/N isn't comfortable with guests at the moment." She nods and immediately heads out, she may be foolish but she knows Y/N isn't in the mood right now.
I walked over to Y/N, who's still laying on my bed. I sat down on his bedside to gently comfort him. "Shhhh it's okay sweet boy, it's okay. I'm here." I cooed, pressing my lips to his forehead.
His eyes slowly opened, my hands stroking the top of his head as he awoke from his slumber. I smile down at him, letting him know that's he safe. "Good morning, sweetheart. How are you feeling?"
He couldn't speak too well so he began signing instead "Can I have some water please? My throat's really dry" He asked.
"Of course you can, darling" I grabbed a water bottle and held it to his lips, gently guiding the water down his throat in small increments. "Small sips, my love" he gulped down the water, soothing his dry thoat. "Your IV has finished. I'll re-examine you in a moment, but I'll give you some time since you just woke up." He nodded and began signing again.
"Can I have a hug please?" He looked embarrassed at the request. Usually I'd gag at the prospect of cuddling someone, but he's very special to me, and I love hugging him.
I smile at him and cup his face "You can have as many hugs as you want, mi amor. Don't be afraid to ask me that. Come here" I gently wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into my chest, careful not to cause any unnecessary discomfort.
"I know you're still not feeling the best, my lovely. But I'll make you all better soon I promise. It's the weekend so we can spend the next few days together." He smiled and I reciprocated, holding even tighter to my chest.
"Are you feeling okay sensory wise?" He signs that he's not feeling great. "Is the material for the blankets and pillows okay?" He nodded. "Is it your chest that's feeling weird?" He nods again "How does your chest feel?"
He began to speak with words this time. "Umm it still feels little bit tight. I still have shortness of breath." I nod at his words.
"Can you sit up for me? I'm gonna have a listen to your chest, sweet boy" he did as I asked. I took the stethoscope from around my neck and put in my ears, warming up the diaphragm against my palm for his comfort.
I placed the stethoscope onto his chest to listen. "Is that too cold, sweetheart?" He shook his head and I smiled, kissing his temple shortly afterwards. His heart was racing, at least 90bpm.
"Hey, sweet boy it's okay. Are you panicking a little?" He nods his head frantically, his chest rose and fell rapidly as his breathing became more rapid. He began to stim, tapping his knees and playing with his fingers. He's gonna have a meltdown.
His heart rate had risen more, so has his breathing. "Oh sweetheart come here" I cooed. He leaned sideways into my shoulder, my arms securing his body. "We'll rock together while I listen to your heart so I can calm you down. Does that sound okay, my love?" He nodded and snuggled into me further.
His body was shaking a tremendous amount, as though his entire nervous system was in overdrive. I held him close to me while listening to his chest, wanting to hear his heartbeat slow down while I rocked him. "Shhhh you're okay, Y/N. You're okay. I've got you. You're safe in my arms." I reassured, hoping it would slow down his heart rate.
"I'm sorry!" He cried into me.
"What an earth for, my love?" I haven't the faintest idea why he's so upset.
"I'm sorry for not getting better. I'm such a burden, taking up all your time to look after me. I'm so sorry Wednesday!" My heart broke. I could never be mad at him for needing me to take care of him, he's sick and needs his partner to help him.
"Shh shh shh I'm not mad at you, mi amor. I could never be mad. Your illness is just being stubborn is all, it's not your fault." I say whilst holding him, rocking him gently, listening to the sound of his heart slow down at my reassuring words.
"You're doing so well, my love. Your heart is calming down a bit too. Take deep breaths for me, I'll do them with you." He followed my deep breathing techniques, his heart slowed because of it which caused relief to flow through me.
His heart rate became steady enough for my liking. Now that he was more relaxed, it was time to listen to his breathing. I moved the stethoscope down to his ribs to listen to the lung sounds. "A couple more deep breaths for me, sweet boy." He followed my instructions, the crackling in his lungs was still present, but not as prominent as last night.
I took off my stethoscope and put it around my neck. "You're lungs are clearing a bit, which means your condition is definitely improving." I feel his forehead to get a gauge of his temperature. "Your temp is lower too. How's your stomach feeling?"
"A little better than last night, still hurts a bit though." He says while still snuggled in my arms. I nod at his words and lean him onto his back, preparing some medicine for him.
I pour the medicine onto a spoon, he grimaced as he did so. "Alright darling open up" he sighed and reluctantly opened his mouth, accepting the spoonful of medicine. I patted his back to make the consumption of the horrible spoonful more bearable to swallow.
"Good job, Y/N. Are you feeling more relaxed now, my love?" He nods, but unable to talk. "Are you feeling non-verbal?" He nods again. "That's okay, you can sign if you want to. Can I take your blood pressure again?" He nodded and I kissed him on the cheek gently.
"Stick your arm out, my love" he does as he's told and I wrap the cuff around his bicep, making sure it's not too tight. "Does that feel okay?" He gave a thumbs up as response to my question. I put the stethoscope back in my ears, placing the diaphragm on the crook of his elbow where the brachial artery is located. I began squeezing the pump.
I stopped pumping the cuff and listened, his blood pressure had definitely improved. "130/86, better than last night. You're getting better my love" I smile softly and kiss his forehead. A sense of relief washes over Y/N. I put the stethoscope back around my neck and took the cuff off his arm.
"I know you probably won't feel better for atleast a couple days, maybe even a week. But, once you're all better I'll take you anywhere you want. The harvest festival is on soon. I know you don't like crowds but I promise I'll keep you safe and protected. We can get ice cream too" He smiled brightly which I happily reciprocated.
I cupped his face, my thumb rubbing in circles on his cheek. "But, like I said, we can go anywhere you want. My treat for being such a good patient" I open my arms for him rest his head against my chest, he gladly accept my embrace and moved himself to be held in my grasp as I sat on his bedside.
"I love you, Wednesday" He mumbled against my chest.
"I love you too, mi amor. My special boy" I kiss the top of his head and held him tight, not wanting this moment to end.
A/N
Thanks for reading this fic. I know Wednesday is quite out of character here which may be jarring to some people. If you'd like more stories where Wednesday is really gentle only for Y/N, please let me know.

Too Sharp to Touch pt.3
Word Count: 2.4k
Warnings: slight language, descriptions of blood and blood usage
Summary: you decide to ask Wednesday to teach you to fight, only to discover she has a different plan in mind
Pairing: Wednesday x Reader
“Teach me to fight.”
That’s what you were going to say. Simple. How hard could it be? Surely, Wednesday wouldn’t say no, right?
You had got out of your werewolf anatomy class early, dismissed with a homework assignment that you could work on later, but now your main focus was on working up the courage to ask Wednesday to teach you how to fight.
She had a soft spot for you. You were almost positive you weren’t making that up. Surely the fact that she threatened your bodily harm slightly less than others at Nevermore, or in general, was a good thing, right? And besides, she had helped you out after your fight. That has to mean something. And no, of course you weren’t looking for a reason to get into a fight just because you knew she’d be there, but… hey, it was a perk.
It still made that little patch of fur on the back of your neck prickle just thinking about those eyes of hers.
Enid had deliberately said to you that all you had to do was ask. No tiptoeing about it, just ask her.
"Come on, Y/N, it's not that hard. She's not going to bite." "Hopefully," you responded dryly, swinging your heels as you sat on her bed. "I just don't want to have to go back to fighting instructors, they suck ass."
"Well, you'll probably have to you don't ask," Enid said with a small smile. "She likes you, Y/N. Just go for it."
Those words had been banging through your head for the past three goddamn days.
Shouldn’t be a problem, right? Worst case scenario you’d just have to get a werewolf fighting instructor instead… oh god, that would be embarrassing. Most werewolves were naturally good at fighting. Why couldn’t you be the same? It was definitely frustrating, to say the least.
You continued to pace the halls, brainstorming. Wednesday was at her Hummers meeting, but it wouldn’t be long before it was over. You had a little bit of time. Why were you even stressing it out this much? You were a werewolf! It’d be a piece of cake! Besides, Wednesday was only human, after all. Or maybe not; you weren’t entirely sure what the Addams’ were.
Perhaps you could get her something. Maybe some flowers and chocolate? To convince her to help you out? Well, you didn’t have enough time to run into town and get some chocolates, but the flowers you could definitely do.
You got up, scrambling down the hallway and hurrying down the stairs, ignoring the calls from an occasional teacher to slow down, headed for the greenhouse.
You arrived just as class emptied out, luckily, and you fought your way - literally fought; you caught more than a few elbows in your side - through the crowd of purple uniforms. Stopping by the door, you quickly checked to make sure everyone had exited before slipping inside.
You were welcomed by the cool temperature of the greenhouse, accompanied by the soft humming of the electricity, but you didn’t stop long, examining the different plants arranged around. Surely nobody would mind if you took a couple flowers? You peered at the different arrangement of flowers before your eyes caught on a lovely black dahlia, recognizing its spiky petals and dark hues to be the flower you wanted. Carefully pulling two or three from the planter, you held them carefully, exiting the greenhouse and closing the door carefully behind you as you hid the plant in the pocket of your blazer.
You hesitated briefly at the door to Wednesday and Enid’s dorm room, still catching your breath from your sprint. You could hear movement inside and you knew it wasn’t Enid; the blonde was busy working on an art project with Divina and Yoko today. You held your breath briefly before knocking your typical three knocks on the door before entering.
Quiet music came from the gramophone in the corner, signaling to you that your assumptions were correct. You turned your head to see Wednesday exiting her closet, dressed in her black and white checkered jumper with a jacket thrown over it.
“Y/N.” She paused, the slightest hint of suspicion in her eyes when she spotted you. “What do you want?” The raven didn’t comment on the fact that you had entered the dorm without permission and you noticed.
Now on the spot under Wednesday’s stare, you took a deep breath, forcing your hesitation down as you pulled out the black dahlia’s from behind your back, noticing too late that they were slightly crumpled; you had to bite back a frustrated huff at the sight of them. You knew you shouldn’t have put them in your blazer pocket.
“I was wondering if you’d teach me how to fight?” Silence.
More silence.
Too much damn silence.
You looked at her, feeling embarrassed about asking her like this. Her eyes slowly gazed from the flowers up to you as you stammered, “y’know, because I’m not the best at fighting, and well, you are, and I thought it could work out.” You forced yourself to stop talking before you could make yourself sound any more stupid than you already did. You were probably messing this up.
Wednesday seemed to examine you for a moment, eyes slowly moving to the flowers before back to you, staying silent for a moment longer before taking the flowers from you, depositing them on her desk. Before you could ask what she was doing, the raven turned and knelt by her bed, pulling out a semi-transparent jug filled with what appeared to be…blood? Confused, you didn’t have time to respond as Wednesday approached you, dumping the jug into your hands as she spoke.
“If you wish for me to instruct you, then you may first assist me, wolf.”
You looked down at the jug in your hands and then back at her, cocking your head slightly.
“Is this real blood?” She ignored your question, placing a notebook inside of her bag as well as what appeared to be a sponge and some other materials.
“I wish to begin implementing more realistic depictions into my novel. All you will need to do is act the part of a corpse for a bloodstain pattern analysis.”
“A corpse?” You repeated, raising an eyebrow in surprise and skepticism. The raven nodded, slinging her bag neatly over her shoulders.
“Correct” - she fixed you with that familiar glare you knew so well, already heading for the door. “And then I shall uphold my end of the deal.”
You hurried after her with the jug; despite it’s heaviness you carried it without a problem. “Where are you planning on doing this?”
“The woods,” came the reply. Once again you had to quicken your pace to catch up with her. How could a person so short move so damn fast?
“So, is this real blood?” You repeated your question again; you didn’t have an issue with blood - after all you were a werewolf - but even you had to admit that if Wednesday so casually had a large jug full of real blood in her dorm it was a little concerning. The scent of it was a little different than human blood; your sensitive nose picked up a slight taint to it.
“Does it really matter?” She responded with a slight roll of her eyes. “It’s pig’s blood.”
You fell into a quiet silence as the two of you walked over the uneven terrain, the hushed silence of the woods engulfing the two of you as you entered. It was calming.
“So I’m going to be a corpse?” You said to fill the silence.
Wednesday nodded, adjusting the bag around her shoulder as she walked. “Indeed. I’ve played the role numerous times for my own amusement in the Addams Mansion. Consider yourself fortunate I’m even letting you in on the act.” With a sigh, you followed her as she led the way, the jug making swishing noises as the thick blood sloshed around inside.
“And how long will this take?”
“If your performance suffices, then not long.” - Wednesday slowed her pace slightly, her gaze fixed on the woods - “we’ll find a suitable clearing where I can conduct the analysis. You’ll lie down, I’ll do my work, and then afterward you’re free to do as you please.” The raven eyed your clothing for a moment. “I assume you won’t mind dirtying your clothes.”
“Of course not,” you muttered sarcastically. “We werewolves love bloodied clothing.”
“Yes, because impeccably clean clothing is such a priority in the middle of the woods,” Wednesday scoffed, rolling her eyes in response.
Eventually she seemed to reach the spot she wanted, a gloomy clearing shrouded in shadows. It fit the vibe - or Wednesday’s vibe at least - the shadows encompassed most of the main clearing and the sounds of the Academy were too faint for even your heightened hearing to pick up on.You looked at Wednesday for instruction and she merely gestured for you to lay down on the forest floor. You set the jug down and awkwardly arranged yourself over the ground, wincing and plucking out a few uncomfortable rocks under your spine.
Once you had gotten comfortable enough to be in the position for a good amount of time, you watched as Wednesday set down her bag on a log, retrieving her materials and standing there for a moment as she examined you, dark eyes roaming over your body. Was she scanning you for imperfections? Observing you to give you some tips on how to act more corpse-like? Or was it something else entirely?
You started to speak before you were cut off by the raven kneeling down at your side, bringing the sponge, an already slightly bloodied handkerchief, and the jug of blood over to begin. You didn’t flinch once as she began to carefully and precisely dab the blood onto specific spots of your clothing or skin.
You held as still as you can manage, save your baited breath as Wednesday delicately smeared a nice glob of thick blood over your neck, pausing only when she saw your muscles tense slightly. Her brows furrowed just barely as her hand hovered right above your neck, not moving.
Now, Wednesday Addams was certainly not a person who blushed; in fact you seriously doubted that she even had the capability to blush; you wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t. Instead you watched as her nose scrunched just the slightest bit, the freckled skin over her nose darkening faintly, eyes flickering to yours once as she muttered, “don’t move.”
You forced your muscles to relax, watching as she smeared another good portion of blood on the side of your neck, feeling the cold thick liquid slowly running down your collarbone as she hesitated yet again, seeming to get stuck watching the blood on your neck before continuing, acting as if it never happened, arranging the blood in a pattern that appeared to be extremely specific to what she required.
Once done she prepared her notebook and began writing, pencil moving at impressive speeds with expert precision as she occasionally glanced back at you for reference, muttering once in a while under her breath, eyebrows furling in concentration as she recorded her observations before she repeated the process all over again.
When you were receiving a nice bloodstain on your lower calf you felt a raindrop on your nose as the sky darkened further, a low rumble of thunder making itself heard throughout the woods. You glanced at the sky and felt your body tighten a little at another soft echo of thunder throughout the woods; you never liked storms but you definitely weren’t going to seem like a coward in front of Wednesday. Especially not now. So you bit your tongue, laid your head back against the moss and let her work, trying to ignore the precise, somewhat gentle touches accompanied by the sound of pencil on paper.
You found the whole situation odd yet fitting.
After a bit longer, Wednesday sighed and stood, taking down a last few notes before starting to pack up her bag, replacing her materials neatly.
“You may get up now.”
With relief you sat up, looking down at the new bloodstains on your leg and neck. You reached down to try and wipe it but it stained. You huffed slightly, realizing you were going to need a good shower when you returned. Your clothes could use a good wash too if you managed to wash the scent of pig blood out of them.
You sat up, brushing the loose dirt and forest debris off your shirt and pants, stretching your aching joints; somehow some tiny rocks had managed to find you spine nonetheless.
“Meet me in the fencing hall tomorrow night,” Wednesday stared at you for a moment, not bothering to thank you as she abruptly turned and started walking again.
You hurried after her, catching up easily as you were used to the forest terrain; when you caught up you huffed, “no thank you for my service?”
“I will display my regard for your work by improving your fighting skills instead of supplying you with empty compliments,” the raven looked up at you with slightly narrowed eyes. “Don’t push your luck.”
You couldn’t resist a little roll of your eyes but you nodded. You never acknowledged the fact that you both knew she wouldn’t actually refuse to teach you how to fight.
Or so you hoped.
As the two of you walked, a faint rumble echoed through the sky as a soft downpour began to rinse the forest. You felt the sprinkle wash away some of the lesser dried blood and you instinctively shook out your neck and hair a little bit, not a fan of wet hair or fur.
You continued walking, suddenly aware of Wednesday’s eyes on you once more. Observing you. Not with that same interest that she did when she was working. To you it appeared more inquisitive… slightly curious. Like you were a puzzle she was determined to solve. You pretended not to notice.
But you did.

Wednesday x male reader where he has the same personality as Wednesday
The Price of Knowledge
You, for the most part, absolutely dreaded all things bright, colorful and overall anything that could pose some what of an nuisance to you. You preferred solitude and quiet above all manners of enjoyment, which lead to an unfortunately lonely childhood.
Born to a high class of Political Leaders, you were obviously destined for greatness, but that was the lie your family sent to the humanity, only the elite of Nevermore knew who you and what you were.
A Great Old One.
A Race of Malignant old beings from Long ago, locked away in the depths of the world, never allowed to see the world once more. A Profoundly dreadful man named HP. Lovecraft wrote stories about your family, brings of such immense power, that even the sight of an Old Great One would drive Someone mad. Given the power you have, luckily that wasn’t an issue for you. But with the power you have, it was a struggle to adjust to the social normality of humanity. Therefore, Nevermore was set in your sights.
The first year of Nevermore was, uneventful thankfully, besides your unfortunate meeting of one female students there. One day sitting upon a bench reading, you were suddenly approached by a girl, you looked upward to see Enid Sinclair with a cheerful smile, she introduced herself and you did as well. Your creator taught you manners at least, she informed you that she came here because of a Dare by Yoko. The conversation was slightly awkward as your responses were cold, not unintentionally but human interaction wasn’t something you understood but it was something you had to understand eventually if you wish to exist amongst them, and this Werwolf was the perfect pet to introduce you to it. And thus the year continues until she arrives.
Searching the library for a book on the human mind, your enjoyment of knowledge was quickly interrupted by Enids cheerful tone. It gave you nausea, but was something you had to endure.
“(Y/n)!” She said, you slowly turn around to Enid and the, creature next to her. You both locked eyes and immediately felt a surge of distain.
“I want you to meet my new roomie, Wednesday! I thought you two would get along perfectly. Wednesday this is (Y/n), he can move things with his mind.” she says, and it’s understandable why, you both look completely out of place. The discoloration in your bodies, the brooding aura of darkness and death, and the color black.
“Hello.” Wednesday says, and for a second you could see that there was something within her that you never saw in others.
“A pleasure.” You respond and you two stare at each other for what seems to be millennia, granted you cannot read her mind, but something is drawing you towards her.
While the meeting was cordial, you lacked the social attention to continue it, and left the meeting early on.
Days ago by with silence by Wednesday and she was simply a memory in your ever expanding mind. But another day in the library lead to an, interesting occurrence. A book began to fall off the shelf and your wits caught one, your pointer finger seemingly morphs into a dark, almost cosmic colored tentacles which rushes and grabs the book, calmly lifting and placing it back upon the shelf. Your powers were naked to the human eye, This some assume you simply move things with your mind, for humans cannot comprehend. But someone was able to.
“Interesting.” A voice says, you turn to the origin of the sound, and Wednesday was there watching coyly. Your face kept the clandestine look, but you were surprised.
“You.. can see it?” You ask. She nods and slowly approaches again.
“I could tell by our first interaction that you are, different, less human than anyone I’ve met. It seems no one is able to view them, so, what are you?” Wednesday says, and you slowly look around to see that no one is paying attention and the number of beings inside the library is limited, therefore you can speak a bit candidly.
“That knowledge… what you wish to know, it’s forbidden.” You say, and Wednesday closes Inc her cold eyes meeting yours.
“Curiosity of the dark arts has always been an intriguing study.”
“Dark Arts? Don’t call what I am child’s play Woman. The knowledge I have can drive one to madness.”
“And the price of knowledge is my sanity? Are you sure you’re trying to dissuade me?” Wednesday says. Your face slowly begins to contort, into what humans would call a, smile?
“You are, an interesting being…” you say, “Perhaps I will enjoy my stay here more than I expected..”

May you please write a Yoko x Fem!reader who’s really shy and easily flustered? Preferably pre-relationship if possible. Thanks so much!
Over the moon
Yoko Tanaka x fem!reader
Summary: A day with your new girlfriend, Yoko Tanaka.
Warning: fluff I suppose
A/N: Yoko is so underrated, also not proofread
Word count: 1k+
-
Yoko had just asked you to be her girlfriend a week ago. It has been pure bliss since then. It seems like no matter what yoko does you always fall for her more. You're sure the overwhelming butterflies you feel in your stomach whenever she holds you will never go away.
You were bored out of your mind in class. Luckily for you your girlfriend is in the same class and is sitting right next to you. You looked over to Yoko who was focusing on the teacher. Admiring her dark hair all the way to her dark red lips and the way her fangs would show from time to time. Yoko had caught you staring from the corner of her vision.
She couldn't help the smirk that was tugging on her lips. She really finds you adorable when she catches you staring. This wasn't the first time she had caught you staring. This certainly won't be the last. She finally gave in and turned to look straight back at you with a full smirk. Your eyes widen feeling the surprised feeling when you got caught.
"How many times am I gonna catch you staring?"
Her whispered voice reached your ear making you look down in embarrassment. She let out a breathy chuckle before placing her hand over yours. You sighed, you're sure you'll never get over how charming Yoko is.
Now you were walking down the hallway with Yoko's hand intertwined with yours. You were listening to the stories she has about Bianca and how she could bug her from time to time.
"I mean I get that she needed help, but I had other things to do you know?"
She explained, you hummed in agreement. "Bianca can be bossy sometimes." You commented and Yoko nodded her head. "exactly," she halted her steps causing you to stop as well. You looked at her in confusion, "Is something wrong?" She simply shook her head. "Nope, my next class is down the hall." She pointed behind her, "oh right, I'll see you later then." You tried to remove your hand from hers but she held you tighter.
"How about we go to the Weathervane today? Since we were able to go a few days ago."
That was true. The plan was cancelled since something had came up in your end. You smiled at Yoko, "Sure, I have nothing to do after school." It was her turn to smile. "Great, I'll see you after school then." She gave you a quick peck on your lips before waving you goodbye. You felt your face heat up while watching Yoko leave. You had this dumb smile you were sure people thought you were weird. Honestly you felt like some teenager that just fell in love.
Except you were the teenager.
Unfortunately for you you didn't hear the quick footsteps of Enid coming your way. You almost lost your balance when Enid's arm wrapped around your neck. "Hey Y/N!" You heard Enid's bubbly voice while gaining your balance. "Oh hey Enid, what's up?" You asked heading to your class. You and Enid have the same class so you two often go at the same time. "Just the usual, hanging with Wednesday and all." She looked over to you and it seemed you weren't listening. Instead looking forward with a slight smile. You were daydreaming.
You heard the blonde groan. "Y/N I get that you're like daydreaming about that vampire girlfriend of yours, but c'mon, listen to me please!" She complained making you feel a bit flustered. Was it that obvious? Did everyone know you were over the moon for Yoko? "Sorry Enid, what were you saying?" She rambled on until you reached class. It's safe to say you didn't listen to a single word Enid said.
You were getting impatient. It seemed time slowed down as soon as it was your last class. You dying to go to that date with Yoko. Your leg bounced under the table while your eyes were fixed on the clock on the wall. It took longer than you were willing to wait but classes were finally over. You were the first one out of your seat quickly leaving your class trying to find Yoko. You finally caught her hanging around with her friends. You walked to her, "Hey." Your quiet voice brought Yoko's entire attention to you.
"Hey Y/N/N," her hand was quick to hold yours making her friends giggle at how cute you both look. "I'll talk to you guys later, see ya!" Yoko lead you away from her friends but you couldn't help the tingling feeling in your stomach hearing the cheers of Yoko's friends.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do Yoko!"
"Have fun you two!"

The Weathervane truly is a nice place to relax. And to have a date. You were drinking your favorite coffee while Yoko had her own drink. Sipping on your coffee Yoko watched the tiny habits she noticed about you. "you're really cute you know?" The sudden compliment made you shy away. You had that dumb smile once again. "Thanks." She only giggled, if she had to write a list on what she likes about you, the first thing on the list would be how easily you get flustered.
The day went on with endless amounts of holding hands and hugs. And the sweet kisses she gave you. You were laughing while holding a bag of things you bought. With your arm wrapped around Yoko's. It was time to head back to Nevermore since it was getting late.
"I enjoyed today."
The whisper of your voice was music to Yoko's ears. "Me too, it was really fun." Her voice was soft, you always liked it when it was like that. Finally reaching your dorm you stood at the entrance with Yoko standing outside. "I'll see you tomorrow then." She told you, you only nodded. "Yeah, goodnight Yoko." Yoko leaned in to give a kiss you were always dying for. She rested her head on yours for a moment. "Goodnight Y/N/N." You watched as she went back to her own dorm.
Yoko truly is the girl of your dreams.

do u have any wenclair fic recommendations?
it's times like this when I wish I was more organised with note keeping or have the memory of something better than a hamster
I haven't been reading (for them and just generally) nearly as much as before I started writing for them. Not bcos I think it disrupts any writing process (can't disrupt no process 😌) but just bcos I don't seem to have as much time
But here's my attempt at a varied-ish list in no particular order:
[M] The Sisyphean Nightmare (16ch) by HonestToBlogJuno Adult Wednesday is contractually obligated to participate in the marketing of her book, to her dismay. Luckily she is married to a werewolf with a communications degree and side-hustle in social media.
[Unrated] you could be the one that i keep (1ch) by overnights - Genie AU And Enid, who’s wished on every star and comet and birthday candle she’s ever seen, looks at Wednesday now and comes up impossibly short of an answer. One wish left, anything in the world at her fingertips, and all she really wants is more time to spend with this enchanted, enchanting mystery of a girl.
[Unrated] backseat (3ch) by reputationstation - Celeb AU Wednesday Addams is a failed fencing prodigy with a once promising career and a troubled past (and if everything goes according to plan, a troubled future as well) who has no intentions of becoming friends with the overly excitable, bubbly girl who calls herself a 'social media influencer', whatever that means. However, like most things in her life, her plans are inevitably thrown off the course.
[Unrated] gifts from a cat (1ch) by Rennajade the one where wednesday is basically just a cat in human form
[T] Dia de los Muertos [now with chapter breaks] (11ch) by WishaDream Wednesday invites Enid over to her house for Dia de los Muertos. It promises to be a horribly fantastic day.
[T] Shot Glasses, Tacky Jewelry (i know you mean more to me than that) (8ch) by RainbowJeff - Holiday/Mall AU Wednesday has somehow been dragged into the mall employees' yearly Secret Santa. What's worse, she's pulled Enid Sinclair as her giftee.
[G] a day like a day in summer (4ch) by poetroe Wednesday has strange ways of showing affection; Enid becomes intimately familiar with them.
[G] yours, eurydice (14ch) by hanjisgirlfriend - Celeb AU Best-selling horror author Wednesday Addams hasn't written in years. Everything changes when Enid Sinclair moves in across the hall.
[M] once bitten (try again?) (1ch) by nd_mindoir Enid learns how to touch Wednesday and why Wednesday is so much softer with her in return
There's also Our Lady of Wild Beasts by Pelgraine which is no longer on AO3 because she's publishing it into an original fiction novel. Sad for us, but extremely good for her. Huge congrats!!
Explicit recs
(I guess it warrants its own section? 😇)
[E] Hysteria (1ch) by IndieBones918 Wednesday emotionally dumps on her girlfriend's best friend after her and Enid's first time and Yoko's having the absolute time of her life.
[E] Gift (1ch) by Mikkie_Mouse (Mikbates) - ABO/Omegaverse AU Wednesday's inability to understand the commitments of a relationship leaves Enid frustrated... and taking matters into her own hands.
[E] A raven's dream of wolf (2ch) by tokyocorgi - ABO/Omegaverse AU the one where Wednesday literally had a hot and steamy sex dream with a lot of feelings.
[E] I'm Just Here To Love You (2ch) by SaturnHaze Wednesday never moans during sex so Enid comes up with a plan to finally draw them out of her. Well, she and Yoko.
[E] First Time For Everything (1ch) by geekomancer, Onhirel Wednesday and Enid having been dating for what feels like ages now, but their relationship hasn't taken that final step... until now. A make out session simply doesn't stop, confronting Wednesday of the simple fact that she doesn't actually know what to do. Thankfully, Enid is there to help her figure it all out.
There you go, happy reading (or not, whatever, you do what you want) with whatever floats your boat 🛥️

The Ship of the Day: Wenclair
Spoiler warning for Netflix’s Wednesday!
Names: Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair/ Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers
Ship Name(s): Wenclair
Original Content: Netflix original Wednesday (2022)
Ship info:
Wednesday is a Netflix original series which aired in 2022, based in Nevermore Academy (a school for outcasts), following Wednesday Addams as she investigates a string of violent murders linked to the school using her budding psychic abilities and how they’re connected to her family history (both the distant history and recent history of 25 years ago when her own parents attended the academy).
Wednesday first meets Enid Sinclair, a bubbly werewolf who has yet to have her first transformation, when she is shown to her dorm room, discovering that the two girls with possibly the most opposite aesthetics possible would be sharing a dorm room that year. At first, the pair don’t get along, with Wednesday’s mother claiming Wednesday is allergic to all the colour Enid has and dividing the room down the middle, removing the colourful vinyl tape that Enid had covered the window with from her half. Despite the antagonistic nature of their relationship at this time the two do bond. For instance, during the full moon Wednesday is outside on the balcony practicing cello when Enid comes out, prompting the pair to open up to one another as they discuss Enid’s lack of a transformation and the last time Wednesday cried- when her pet scorpion was killed as a child. Following this, the two are with the rest of the academy at a fair and Enid is saying goodbye to Wednesday (as she plans to run away from the school), going in for a hug but stopping herself as she sees Wednesday’s reaction, stating “still not a hugger, got it” which is a call back to when they met and Enid went for a hug, stating the same thing. Though this action in and of itself is platonic in nature, some fans read it as the start of a budding relationship due to the way Enid (who is very tactile and shows love, platonic or otherwise, through physical touch) easily accepts Wednesday’s boundaries without pushing them.
The two bond further during the Poe Cup, a race between the different houses of the academy, wherein Enid is upset at the last minute due to her vampiric co-pilot, Yoko, being sabotaged using garlic bread- resulting in Wednesday offering to take her place and help win them the cup, even going as far as wearing the team costume as a little black cat. This is ironic as this ship definitely fits into the black cat/golden retriever trope. Following their win, they are pictured standing shoulder to shoulder, which many fans claim illustrates Wednesday’s growing care for Enid, as she wouldn’t ordinarily let people touch her.
Despite the fans excitement over the pair, within the very next episode Enid starts obsessing over gorgon Ajax, with Wednesday even using this crush to further her murder investigation. With that, Enid asks Ajax out on a date and is rather excited for it, with Wednesday stating that she would nail gun his heart if he breaks Enid’s heart. Unfortunately for him, Ajax accidentally stones himself by looking in a mirror, making him stand Enid up- luckily for him however, Wednesday is not given chance to hold true to her threat. By this point, her family member, Thing (the disembodied hand), sets Wednesday up on a date with ‘normie’ Tyler for the Rave’N dance, forcing Wednesday to attend. Throughout the series up until this point Tyler and Xavier (Wednesday’s classmate) had made it clear they were romantically interested in her. As a whole, the fandom ignore this odd love triangle (or is it technically a love more than/less than sign? < > im just saying..) as Wednesday largely shows a lack of feelings back to them, using them to further her investigation into the murders. During the dance, Enid comes over to compliment Wednesday, though she voices her dislike for W’s date as she does so, calling him “... interesting”. Some fans read this as jealousy instead of just friendly concern (guys im a wenclair shipper too, playing devils advocate here sucks). Can we just mention how right Enid is here? That dress was impeccable.
Within the next few episodes the pair bond further over family struggles as family visiting weekend occurs, further bonding over a séance for Goody Addams (Wednesday’s ancestor) and Wednesday’s surprise birthday party in a crypt. Unfortunately, everything does not sty this positive, with Wednesday lying to Enid about a girls night out and instead taking her and Tyler to a house to investigate the monster- when they get home Enid is angry and moves to her friend Yoko’s room. Enid is rightfully angry here, Wednesday’s actions almost got them killed by the monster, thought the fandom argues she’s also partially angry cause she wanted to be alone with Wednesday but Tyler had also been there, invited under the pretence of a date with Wednesday. After Enid moves out, Wednesday is show watching her side of the room, showing she missed her despite how she had treated her and her original distaste for them sharing the room. Eventually, Enid moves back in, claiming someone has to look after Thing and Wednesday after the room got broken into- this time round, Wednesday says to not bother with the tape to divide the room, showing the improvement in their relationship over time.
Now for the big finale, taking place towards the end of the school year. Following a torture plan in reference to the string of murders done by the monster (now discovered to be a hyde), Wednesday is expelled from Nevermore Academy. As she’s packing, we see a scene between her and Enid, where she describes the mark Enid left on her as ‘indelible’ and they promise not to forget one another, resulting in another call back to “not into hugs, got it” as Enid goes for a hug only to claim that not hugging is kind of their thing. Wednesday gets kidnapped before she can leave, revealing Tyler to being the hyde, and leading to a series of events that cause Enid to transform for the first time to save Wednesday and Wednesday defeating the resurrected pilgrim Crackstone whose aim was to kill all outcasts. Many argue that Enid’s first transformation being to save Wednesday was very romantic and truly shows a change from platonic to romantic within their relationship, especially since Wednesday actually hugs Enid following the battles.
Actresses Jenna Ortega and Emma Myers have shown support with this ship, alluding to it multiple times during interviews and having each other as their lock screens, furthering the fans view of this ship and causing them to go beyond it to also ship the actresses irl.
Type of Ship: Queer read and possible queer bait
Now, we all love a good black cat/ golden retriever trope and this pair perfectly encompasses that, with a little bit of enemies to friends to lovers sprinkled in. However, i would argue that currently, this ship is only queer read and not canonically queer. Though the relationships of Wednesday with Tyler and Xavier respectively were given a lot less work than Wednesday’s relationship with Enid leading to arguments that the pair are ‘endgame’, it is never out rightly confirmed that the pair of girls have anything more than strong platonic feelings for one another within the show. Furthermore, the actions of the actresses during press tours and interviews could be considered queer bait as they encouraged the shipping within the show, encouraging more queer viewers to watch it for that relationship despite it not being canon. Of course, this is just based on season one of Wednesday and the second season of this show may make it canon or further their relationship in unexpected ways, however we cant know at this time what the next season may look like..
Thank you for reading!! (psst any good Wenclair recs? I keep forgetting what is fanon and canon)

Enid's Scars
Pairing: Wednesday x Enid
Content Warning: Self harm, abuse, assualt
Summary: Enid has bad coping mechanisms. Luckily Enid is in her corner.
Scars littered Enid’s body, from when she was 10 to when she was 16, and they were still growing due to either self harm or abuse or bullying. It all depended on the situation, when it was and where it was. She had scars on her back from her mother belting her, she had scars on her wrists due to self mutilation, and she had scars on her side from when some normies had a silver knife and dragged it down her side quickly. Enid looked in the bathroom mirror after her shower, and then at her face where there were new scars. Tears welled in her eyes. She looked ugly her mother said before hand, now she would never get a mate. That’s what her mother would say.
She was too distracted looking at herself that she didn’t hear her roommate on the door. “Sinclair, you ok?” came the voice of Wednesday. Immediately she jumped and quickly changed into a long-sleeved shirt and a pair of basketball shorts. It was going to be a warm day after all.
“Yep! Sorry, got busy… thinking if I should cover my scars,” she called out before she opened the door.
“Don’t hide your face,” Wednesday spoke stoically, her voice serious. She did look into Enid’s eyes as she said it, the smaller girl soon reaching out and rubbing the scars. “They are a sign of strength , of bravery, of courage,” Wednesday added on before she went into the bathroom and closed the door. Enid stood stock still for a minute before she shook her head. She shouldn’t overthink it and get her hopes up.
Doing as Wednesday requested, she didn’t cover her scars but she did pack her make up in case it got too much. That’s when there was a knock on the door. “Come on out pup! I want the early blood bags,” Yoko called in.
“Coming!” Enid called out as she checked she had everything (which she did) and then went over to the door and opened it.
“You look beautiful,” Yoko immediately complimented, looking her up and down.
“Thank you, but you have a girlfriend so you can’t date me anymore,” Enid teased before she left.
It was true. Enid and Yoko had dated before. It only lasted 2 months, but it was sweet while it lasted. Enid and Yoko knew they didn’t like each other like that however, and were destined to be best friends. Soon they walked down to breakfast as they just was chatting about random stuff. They were mostly going on about K-Pop, as well as Enid’s massive crush on Wednesday and Divina, Yoko’s girlfriend. They soon joined a table with Divina, who was already eating smoe pancakes with golden syrup. “Hey babe, let us get our food and we’ll be back love,” Yoko spoke before leaving with Enid. Enid smiled as she was looking at Divina and nodded before she went to the table. She immediately got 4 pancakes, 8 bacon rashes, golden syrup, porridge and also a cereal bar with dark chocolate. It was for Wednesday after all. She then proceeded to get some orange juice and a coffee for Wednesday.
When she passed by the werewolves, she did hear a whisper from one of them. “Loading up on food like the pig she is,” a wolf boy snickered out. Enid tried to ignore it immediately, as she was still hated by other wolves for some reason, even after transforming for the first time and being able to take down a hyde. She sat down as Yoko was next to Divina, kissing her girlfriend as Wednesday was sitting down next to Enid after. Enid smiled.
“Morning Willa,” Enid spoke, her tail wagging slightly.
“Good morning Sinclair, Tanaka Watson,” was Wednesday’s response, taking a sip of her coffee as Enid started to eat. That’s when Enid started to ramble about whatever, everyone listening and joining in every now and then.
-
It was now the evening, and Wednesday was at a Hummer’s Meeting. She was currently alone in her dorm room, and Enid was thankful for that. She was staring at herself in the mirror again this time, just like in the morning. This time it was different. Sure, she was naked still but this time she had a knife in her hands. Specifically a silver blade she had stolen from her older brother Oscar. She was biting her lip as she looked at the body, comments going through her head. ‘Such a pig’. ‘Annoying brat’. ‘A nobody’. ‘A dissapointment’.
The voices kept slipping through her head, ranging from random voices to her mother’s voice, to even her friend’s voices! She was soon cutting her thighs and stomach lightly, seeing small beads of blood slip out from the cuts she made on herself. Every name that slipped into her head, she would cut.
Once they stopped, she was aware of her surroundings and where she cut. She noticed some cuts were deeper, and some were on her wrist opening some of the newer ones from a week ago. That’s when she let out a choked sob and went into the bathtub, just holding herself close as she was letting out sobs. That was at least until there was a knock on the door. “Sinclair. Are you ok?” Wednesday asked.
“Yep! Perfectly ok,” Enid called out way too quickly.
“You are not. Thing saw you enter with a knife. If you don’t open in 3 seconds, I will walk in,” Wednesday spoke stoically. Inside, she was mentally panicking, hoping that her best friend and crush was ok. She had seen the scars from the past whenever she saw Enid with short sleeves as well as shorts.
“I’m fine!” Enid emphasised, but Wednesday picked up on the small waiver of her voice. Wednesday waited 3 seconds before she came in, where Enid was hiding in the shower, struggling to put her clothes on. Wednesday then pulled the shower curtain away and saw Enid’s position. She was fully naked, about to put her shirt on. She was bleeding badly too. In a rare show of emotion, Wednesday widened her eyes and grabbed a towel quickly. She then pressed it against her wounds, Enid letting out a small, ashamed sob. “Cara mia, don’t hurt yourself for me please. I need you, even if you aren’t your bubbly self. I want to know and see all sides of you,” Wednesday spoke gently, looking Enid in the eyes as she was pressing the towel on her wounds. “Now, you are going to hate me for this but I am going to get Weems,” she reassured. Enid gripped her wrist and was lettout a small whimper. “Please… no,” she whimpered out.
“I’m sorry my love, but I have to. I will be back,” she spoke as she was looking at her. Enid nodded weakly. That’s when Wednesday rushed out after instructing Enid to keep the towel pressed on her. She made sure Enid did as told before she arrived at Weems, frantically knocking on the door before she entered. Weems was stood up, like she was about to answer the door. “What is up Wednesday?” Weems asked concerned, due to the knocking and her just coming in. Wednesday had tears in her eyes.
“Enid… she… she has been cutting. I need a nurse, and also for her to have a serious talk. I can’t do it, I’ll accidentally hurt Enid,” Wednesday spoke. Weems nodded and stood up quickly as she texted the nurse, walking with Wednesday quickly to their room.
Wednesday was soon in there as she was leading Weems to the bathroom, where Enid sat, still applying pressure. Wednesday looked at Weems desperately, to which Weems sat next to her. “The nurse will be here soon. How deep are they?” she asked gently. Enid slowly lifted the towel, showing the deepness. “Ok, pretty deep. If you need medical treatment, are we allowed to bring you?” She asked. Enid nodded as she was seeing the nurse come in and help.
–
After she was helped, Wednesday and Enid was in Weem’s office as Enid was cuddled up to her girlfriend, who was rubbing her back. “Can I ask why?” Weems asked. Enid was thinking if she should say the truth or not.
“People were commenting about me so it kind of affected me,” she admitted. “I was feeling quite depressed anyway today but that was the final straw,” she added on. Weems nodded. “You have self harmed before?” She asked. Enid nodded ashamed. “Yeah… I have for years now,” Enid spoke.
Wednesday felt her heart break at that. She would make sure Enid was ok now. For now she listened to Weems though. “Have you ever tried therapy?” she asked. Enid shook her head. “Mom wouldn’t let me,” Enid admitted. “What if I pay for you?” Weems gently spoke. “But I can’t pay it back,” Enid spoke nervously. “It’s fine, I will pay for it all,” Weems comforted. Enid looked at Wednesday who nodded. “Ok,” she spoke with a nod.
–
The meeting was soon over and Wednesday and Enid were cuddling on the bed, Enid wearing some of Wednesday’s clothes. Wednesday would be there for her, she would always be there for her. She would improve if she had to.

A Good Day for Death (Book 1) Chapter Fifteen
Wednesday Addams x Reaper! Reader
Chapter Fifteen: A Good Day for Diaries
Summary: Wednesday learns that being lonely isn't fun and really wants (Y/N), her partner-in-crime, to come back.
Wednesday ordinarily would watch the coffin being placed in the grave, fascinated by the morbidity, but her eyes were instead drawn to another sight. She watched as (Y/N) murmured quietly as dirt was scooped into the grave to bury Mayor Walker.
They were praying for safe passage to the afterlife, fiddling with their bone ring as they did so in a self-soothing motion.
Wednesday forced herself to look back down at the coffin. It didn’t matter that in the midst of death and rain and doom and gloom, they were doing their best to help in the small ways they could. It didn’t matter that their kindness was more genuine than many of the people in attendance’s. It didn’t matter.
l
Two days later, two long days of lonesome investigations, no one to share her findings with, and funerals to attend, Wednesday sat turning the pages of Faulkner’s diary, which her Uncle Fester had helped her find in the Nightshade’s library. It had details on many types of creatures that Wednesday hadn’t even heard of. She was hoping to find something with the monster in it. Then she could figure out how to defeat it.
The difficult part was as victorious she should feel for finding another, helpful lead, Wednesday felt oddly lonely. No, not oddly. She knew why. (Y/N), her partner in crime, wasn’t there to share it because Wednesday had…messed up. She had hurt them. They had tried to help and support her, and she hadn’t cared.
She cleared her throat and focused back on the pages, examining each creature’s chalk drawing. If she just threw herself into her work, Wednesday would forget about her stupid, unnecessary emotions.
“These are some sweet digs,” said Fester, grinning as he gazed around Wednesday’s dorm. “How’d you swing your own single?”
Wednesday paused. “My former roommates…They couldn’t handle me.” It wasn’t quite the truth, but it wasn’t quite a lie. Luckily for her moral issues, she turned to the page of the creature and was successfully distracted.
“Here it is. Faulkner describes ‘Hydes’ as artists by nature but equally vindictive in temperament. Born of mutation, the Hyde lays dormant until unleashed by a traumatic event or unlocked through chemical inducement or hypnosis. This causes the Hyde to develop an immediate bond with its liberator, who the creature sees as its master. It becomes the willing instrument of whatever nefarious agenda this new master might propose,” read out Wednesday.
“Anyone willing to unlock a Hyde is a next-level sicko,” said Fester.
“That means we’re not looking for one killer but two,” said Wednesday, still speaking as if she and (Y/N) were working together. “We.” “Us.” She narrowed her eyes. “The monster and its master.”
A knock sounded at the door. Wednesday shoved the diary into her desk drawer and turned to go to the door. Miss Thornhill was already walking in. Wednesday’s eyes widened. Fester was in her room still.
“I didn’t mean to startle you,” said Miss Thornhill, smiling.
Wednesday turned, frowning as her dorm mother didn’t react to the presence of her uncle. Fester had already disappeared, and Wednesday awkwardly turned back. “I was just working on my novel.”
Miss Thornhill’s smile turned a little forced as she tried to remain positive. “Enid has requested to room with Yoko for the rest of the school year,” she said.
Wednesday broke eye contact and looked down slightly. “She did?”
Miss Thornhill smiled kindly. “When there’s a falling out, I like to get both students’ perspectives on what happened, and it seems you, Enid, and (Y/N) had one. What happened? You and Enid got along, and you and (Y/N) were thick as thieves!”
“They couldn’t handle me,” said Wednesday, repeating the line she’d used on Fester.
Miss Thornhill’s patience didn’t break as Wednesday refused to be totally honest. “Wednesday, I know you cared. I mean, everyone saw (Y/N) in particular brought some warmth out of you.” Seeing Wednesday’s offended face, she continued, “Just a tiny, tiny spark. Barely perceptible to the average eye, but…I noticed. Part of the dorm experience is making friends with people that you wouldn’t normally connect with. And those friendships often turn into lifelong bonds.” Miss Thornhill smiled.
“I would rather buy a rope,” said Wednesday.
Miss Thornhill sighed. “Listen, if two roommates is too much, Enid can room with Yoko like she wants. But (Y/N) hasn’t decided if they want to change.” She looked at Wednesday with questioning eyes. “I need to know if you can handle it or not.” Wednesday frowned slightly, and Miss Thornhill pressed forward. “Do you want (Y/N) to room somewhere else or do you want them to come back?”
The phrasing was precise. It was asking what Wednesday wanted. It was asking what she thought of (Y/N). It was asking if she wanted them to come back. The truth was she did. Wednesday had come to terms with how she felt towards (Y/N), and she didn’t want to think she had messed up to the degree that (Y/N) didn’t want to be around her at all. She wanted (Y/N) to come back.
Wednesday looked down to avoid looking Miss Thornhill in the eye for a moment, betraying her emotions just enough that the professor saw them. “I’ll survive alone. I always have.”
Miss Thornhill sighed. “Well, if that’s your decision, I’ll submit the forms for Enid’s dorm switch to Principal Weems and discuss (Y/N)’s options with them.” She shook her head in disappointment before leaving Wednesday’s dorms.
Wednesday composed herself before turning back to her room. “Uncle Fester?” Behind her, one of Enid’s squeaky toys fell from her pile of stuffed animals. Wednesday turned and deadpanned as she pulled a stuffed animal away to reveal Fester hidden in the pile.
“Hey! Is that ‘(Y/N)’ the kid Morticia and Gomez were telling me about?” said Fester.
Wednesday crossed her arms. “Of course my parents are interfering with this, too,” she muttered.
Fester shrugged. “They seem to like the kid. I heard there was ‘chemistry.’ ” He wiggled his eyebrows. “Morticia is good at spotting those things.”
“They’re my roommate and my partner in my investigation,” said Wednesday. She glanced away. “Were.”
“Ah. I get it. Lost in the line of duty,” said Fester, nodding.
“Something like that,” muttered Wednesday.
“Don’t sweat it, Wednesday. It’ll work out if it’s supposed to,” said Fester jovially. “Just look at me! I roll with the punches, and life is pretty good.”
Wednesday didn’t dignify him with a response as he watched her walk away from the pile of squishmallows. Everyone seemed intent on talking about feelings and (Y/N), so she was going to focus on her case. She already had suspects, after all.
Dr. Kinbott and Xavier.
l
Wednesday struggled to keep herself from looking too annoyed as Tyler approached her in the café. Just what she needed after being accosted by Kinbott in Weems’ office just when she had the proof Xavier was sneaking off to meet with her, all but saying he was the Hyde and Kinbott his hypnotherapist master. It seemed everyone she didn’t want to see was bothering her and the one person she did was intent on avoiding her.
“Uh, I made you a quad. On the house,” said Tyler, smiling in a cute-shy way that didn’t have an effect on Wednesday.
“Hey, thanks kid!” said Fester, drawing it over to him. He handed over the ketchup bottle he had downed. “Need a refill on this puppy too.”
“My Uncle Fester,” said Wednesday shortly.
Tyler extended a hand to shake Fester’s. “Hi, it’s nice to—” He jumped as he was shocked by the device on Fester’s hand. Tyler looked nervously between Wednesday and Fester, but Wednesday just smirked at the prank, and Fester chuckled. Tyler’s eye fell to the book on the table. “Is that…?” He recognized the creature. He sat down in the booth next to Wednesday, who scooted carefully away.
“It’s called a hyde,” said Wednesday.
“Whoa. That’s it. From that night,” said Tyler.
“Your father gave you explicit instructions not to be near me,” said Wednesday, doing her best to send Tyler away so she could focus.
Tyler did not listen. “Yeah, my dad’s not here, and I’m on break.”
Since he wasn’t leaving, Wednesday decided to try her luck using him as an assistant. Maybe having someone take (Y/N)’s place would distract her. “Apparently a hyde needs to be unlocked by someone. Its master.”
“Holy shit,” said Tyler.
“Tyler,” said Sheriff Galpin’s voice sharply. “What’d I say?”
Tyler stood, not before getting confused since Fester had disappeared. “For the record, Wednesday was trying to keep her distance. I was the one that sat down with her.”
“Alright,” said Galpin, annoyed but letting it go. He handed over a paper. “Putting these up around down. It’s a bank robbery suspect, and he’s a real creep. You haven’t seen him, have you?”
Tyler put a smile on his face even though he recognized it to be Fester. “He’d be pretty hard to miss. I’ll pin it on the bulletin board.”
The sheriff shook his head. “Why waste my breath?” he muttered as he left.
“You didn’t have to do that,” said Wednesday.
“Yeah, your family’s very…colorful,” said Tyler.
“Ironic considering Fester’s the black sheep,” said Wednesday. (Y/N) would find that entertaining. She shook the thought from her head. “He’s harmless.”
“So…About that date I thought we were going on…” said Tyler.
“I already apologized to (Y/N) for leading everyone on. I won’t do it again,” said Wednesday. She had failed to apologize, but she wished she had.
“Well, I figure after what happened, you owe me,” said Tyler, teasingly alluding to his attack.
“I can’t sneak off campus. All eyes are on me,” said Wednesday, pulling on any excuses she had.
“I’ll come to you. Nine pm. Crackstone’s Crypt,” said Tyler. And then he walked away before Wednesday could contradict him again.
These days didn’t seem to be going Wednesday’s way.
l
“What’s this?” said Wednesday, holding up black nail polish to Thing.
He tapped guiltily against the desk.
“What do you mean you’ve been stealing (Y/N)’s stuff?” asked Wednesday in exasperation.
Thing tapped again.
“You think it’s going to get them to come back and talk to me?” Wednesday put the polish down forcefully. “It’s not. They can borrow combs and nail polish from other people. This is pointless.”
Thing tapped furiously.
“I don’t miss them,” denied Wednesday. “They’re a weakness.” She crossed her arms. “Now, your job is the guard the diary while I’m gone.”
Thing “looked” at her accusingly.
Wednesday glared back. “It’s not a date. Not even if he thinks it is. I’m going to tell him I’m not ‘interested’ as they say.”
If Tyler was going to misconstrue everything Wednesday did as a hint she was, then she was going to do what she did best: be blunt. She was dealing with enough emotional issues; she was going to get rid of one.
l
Wednesday walked stiffly towards Tyler and Crackstone’s Crypt. Tyler smiled.
“Hey. Ready for the surprise? I promise this one won’t make you pass out cold,” he joked, pushing open the doors of the Crypt. He held out a dahlia. “But you do have to close your eyes.”
“That will be unnecessary. I’m not one to enjoy surprises anyways,” said Wednesday.
“Don’t do that. Discount my feelings,” said Tyler, stepping forward.
Wednesday took a step back. “Tyler—.”
“No, no excuses. You can keep trying to push me away, but it’s not going to work,” said Tyler.
“You’re making a mistake,” said Wednesday sharply, fulling intending to continue.
Tyler interrupted again. “I’m not. And you know it.” He took another step forward, but before he could do anything, lights shone through the forest at them.
It was Sheriff Galpin and his deputies. Tyler jumped back, eyes wide in surprise. Wednesday, on the other hand, but both relieved and frustrated. At least Tyler was shutting up for a moment, but she also didn’t want to be interrupted at the moment she wanted to confront Tyler on his continued misconceptions of her actions.
“What the hell?” said Sheriff Galpin. “Tyler.”
“Dad? What are you doing here?” asked Tyler.
“The school groundskeeper found a motorbike by the lake. It matches the description of the one the bank robber stole,” said Sheriff Galpin. “There’s a canoe missing. Figured he might be on Raven Island. I’m not going to ask what this is, but I never saw the two of you here. You got it?” He shook his head. “Unbelievable.” He gestured to his deputies. “Come on.” He left as Tyler and Wednesday watched.
Tyler chuckled awkwardly. “Well, I hope he didn’t ruin the mood—”
“He did,” said Wednesday shortly, walking away. She had wasted enough time here. She knew trying to deal with emotions would be pointless, even if it was trying to get them out of the way.
l
Frustrated and annoyed at the way the night had turned out, Wednesday opened the door to her dorm sharply. Her eyes widened as she took in the view.
The room was trashed, papers were strewn about the ground, furniture was tipped over—in short, it was ransacked.
“Thing?” called Wednesday worriedly.
She turned and found a more horrifying sight. Thing was pinned by the palm to the wall with a knife. Blood dripped to the puddle forming on the ground below him.
“Thing…” breathed Wednesday in horror. She pulled the knife away and cradled him in her hands. Her breathing turned shaky as she found him unmoving. In an instant, she was running for Fester’s help.
l
Unable to sleep, (Y/N) was curled up underneath the Poe Statue trying to work through their feelings. They had been miserable with Wednesday since they had really viewed her as a friend since she accepted them and didn’t seem to mind them and their supposed bad luck. They missed her, but they were determined to stay away since Wednesday didn’t want them, and (Y/N) wasn’t going to disturb her if they were that much of an annoyance. But they couldn’t help but want their friend back.
Biting their lip and blinking the unshed tears away, (Y/N) shook their head. It was useless to be so upset because it didn’t solve anything, and all they were was a little heartbroken. The feeling would pass in time as they stayed away from the girl causing it.
(Y/N) stood and blinked as they saw the girl in question running through the courtyard in a panic. That set off alarm bells, and when (Y/N) took a step after Wednesday, their eyes widened in horror as they saw drops of blood in a trail after her.
(Y/N) may be heartbroken, but they weren’t a monster. They took off running after Wednesday. They couldn’t bear the thought of her being in trouble and not helping.

In the parasite au I can see why, while being the same age, Enid feels older, specially considering she is staff and not an student, she probably looks older at times too
Which leads me to ask, is Enid “popular” with some of the students over it? (Uni Students and young teachers kind of thing) Or is she brushed off? (Being their age makes them take her less seriously) either way seems pretty stressful haha
I don't think enid is popular per say. She's well known! Talked about like some spectacle at times like Thornhill because she's seen to be a normie so sometimes there will be mentions of "hey did you see Enid running around? I wonder what did ma'am Weems make her do this time"
She's the nice librarian or the one that doesn't mind giving out a lil advice or a hint for the upcoming test
She's there but the social class divide also exist. Tyler in the show mentioned how surprised he is that Wednesday got her hand dirty so I'm upping the private rich kid school thing that nevermore has in this au
So Enid has charm, in her lil rough clothes and skewered hair but not alot of people will see her eye to eye because one) known as a normie and two) lowkey obviously broke
Because she is, her ass just got out of homelessness 😭
It isn't so blatant but it wouldn't be surprising if some of the teachers ask for Enid to do alot of things that they could've done themself
like getting them something to drink or passing notes to other teachers more than she should. Enid won't complain, it's her job and just like her show self, she's a lil bit of a doormat but luckily nine helps her out with these things
She's popular around the quite kids, like the faceless ones who seek the solitude that the library can bring and sometimes, Enid bumps into yoko

After Enid recovers, Wednesday falls ill (Playing Nurse, Part 2)
Read it on AO3!! Tumblr version below the cut.
Prompt: Despite taking an exuberant amount of Vitamin D while taking care of her sick girlfriend, Wednesday falls ill mere hours after Enid recovers.
“Wen, you’re sweating buckets.”
“I don’t sweat.”
Enid crosses her arms. “Then why are you glistening?”
Wednesday doesn’t reply. They’re standing at the divide in their room, sans the black duct tape on the floor. Enid makes a quick motion with her hands.
May I?
Wednesday nods.
Enid touches her forehead and squeaks. “You’re burning up. I got you sick! Get in bed, come on.”
“I don’t like to be doted on like you do.” Wednesday says, climbing into her bed anyway.
“I know, but I feel so so bad. What can I do that won’t upset you?” Enid wrings her hands, looking sad.
Wednesday thinks for a moment. “I want to wear one of your shirts. And sleep in the same bed.”
Enid beams at this, her blue eyes sparkling. “I have a black and white one!” She bought it at one of her preferred boutiques on one of their dates last week, specifically in case Wednesday ever asked. And she slept in it a few times before falling ill herself, so it definitely still smelt like her.
Enid jogs to her closet and pulls it out, spritzing it once with her perfume to be safe. She recalls how stuffy her nose was and knows Wednesday will likely be unable to smell her if its more subtle.
“For you, my sickly love.”
“That has a nice ring to it. Thank you, Enid.” Wednesday raises her arms and Enid carefully helps her out of her shirt, pressing her lips to Wednesday’s bare shoulder on the way up.
“Don’t get distracted.” Wednesday murmurs, leaning into her.
“You sure?” Enid trails a line of warm kisses up her neck, open-mouthed.
Wednesday shivers, tilting her head back and reaching to hold Enid’s shoulders.
“You’re making it incredibly difficult for me to be sure, but yes, my head is starting to hurt. I’d like to sleep soon.”
Enid retreats and hums softly, helping Wednesday into her shirt.
“Okie dokie. Can I get you some medicine? Or something to eat?” Enid’s purple shirt is so soft in Wednesday’s hands.
She knows exactly what she wants.
“No, thank you. Will you join me now?”
“Mhm, just let me set some stuff up first.” Enid kisses her cheek, and Wednesday smiles a bit.
“Alright.” Wednesday reaches in her nightstand and pulls out her black earplugs. “Don’t keep me waiting.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it, Wen.” Enid moves quickly. She collects everything Wednesday used to take care of her: a face cloth, trash can, a thinner blanket, and some cough drops, swapping her pink items for Wednesday’s black and white equivalents.
Once Wednesday is all set up, Enid drags her bed over so they can snuggle and watch something on her laptop, which Wednesday allows herself to watch, if only to understand Enid’s interests.
“Is this too much doting?” Enid says, rubbing Wednesday’s back and kissing the top of her head. Wednesday is practically wrapped around her, eyes drooping with the sustained effort of staying awake.
“Never tell anyone. Not even Thing.” Who is luckily taking a vacation in Yoko’s room after burning his thumb trying to make Enid’s soup that afternoon. He needed space.
Enid grins, focusing on her show. “Promise I won’t.”
Wednesday is out like a light.
