i think a really good example of this is Orivar and a troll I don't really talk about, but he CERTAINLY exists and he does have a tag on my blog. His name is Dillon!

Dillon is a descendent, actually. I have a Jadeblooded rainbowdrinker named Aivery, and Dillon is his descendant that he had with one of Han's trolls, Damier.

Dillon's entire schtick is just being a real peppy assassin! Just out here to have a good time! He's missing an arm and a leg, and I think i had a story for it somewhere but I can't remember where it is or what it was. It's probably deep in my logs with Han. He's really good at killin' and he's real good at being friendly, and he loves dogs and has a partial fursuit where he's like, an australian shepard, or one of those australian spotted wild dogs. Because Damier is a hyena, so spots :) Anyway, they have like, zero fucking reason to ever interact and would never interact, but I had a really wild period where I was super deep into an SCP AU where Orivar was running as a spy for the Chaos Insurgency but was still working as a leader for a Mobile Task Force. Dillon was her second in command who she trusted to run things in her stead and not to ask questions while she was off doing shady shit.

On paper, the two of them would actually get along really well. Dillon's friendly and doesn't take insults very hard, so anything Ori does to insult him rolls off like water on wax. Meanwhile, Dillon's lack of being judgemental and loyalty really warms him up to Ori real quickly, esp when he saves her life on a few occasions.

I never really did do anything with that SCP AU and with Dillon and Ori. But that dynamic lives rent free in my mind all the time, and I am lowkey drawing on that sort of stuff for that one upcoming plot thing I'm doing for Ori.
