Exchange between Lucius and Gibeon in the most recent trailer.
#part that stood out the most to me#lucius still trying to stop gibeon and reaching out to him#gibeon not budging.. but his words are very interesting#(as a reminder to self. he says 滅ぶものは滅べばいい)#so why did he reach that point..#he was genuinely curious about rakua and was close friends with lucius and rystal#and they specifically showed him in ep 82 saying that he wanted to welcome the moment their wishes came true together#he wanted to be with them. liko and the others noted that they all looked happy and like they were having fun together#in ep 75 he paid no mind to what excavating the rakurium did to his surroundings.. too blinded and fascinated by his discovery#and now.. i interpret his words as it's fine if the world is destroyed as a consequence of my actions#as in. it's not what he is trying to do or his main aim. but if it happens then it happens. i like this nuance..#he wasn't like that before so what happened.#somehow he survived the fall at rakua. in the meantime he had a family and now we're here. what made him reach that point#given the pv of ep 83.. it looks like he had daughter.#so maybe.. she is part of his current motivations?#looking forward to knowing what's his deal. i do think (and hope) something personal is going on here#personal stakes and feelings.. rather than some nebulous thing.#trailer notes#character notes#gibeon
