(how far did you cast him, that brutal day?) michael lets out a bitter and cynical laugh, one that rattles her ribcage and the bone marrow within. a den of debauchery, he, its king. she should not be surprised, at how nicely he slots in with the denizens of this place.

she beams him a smile of falsified resistance, the corners of her lips peeking out from behind the edges of her glass with how widely she beams. (it is an awkward gesture for her, one that she is not used to.) the drink, very clearly, has gotten to her. (an ambrosia lightweight.) the hotel, with each passing day, feels more and more like a home rather than just a hotel. how grateful is she, then, to be dwelling within sweet brothers presence once again after millennium? (very.)
