Lucid was late.

That, in itself, was unusual.

The angel was the type to be punctual, always, if not downright early out of worry of making him wait long (and excited, it felt like) just to see Lucifer, just to talk and visit and explore, so for Lucid to be late and not just directly on time, rushed and apologetic...

The devil was worried.

He does not put on his official wear, but the dark casual clothing he favors. He does not tarry or hesitate, if it was truly nothing, then it would be something they could laugh together over snacks. If it was truly nothing, he could hide his real relief and fear in a tight hug, seeking comfort as much as squishing affection into the frazzled seraph.

No time is spared for a full disguise; his dark hair with exposed horns, hooves, and tail should have to suffice.

And he steps out to go searching, hoping to find Lucid in disguise in the streets, looking to surprise Lucifer with a tiny gift and got preoccupied.

The fallen hasn't prayed in a long time, but he's considering it now. Please, let it be nothing.

//on a positive note, I’ll prolly share my “pre-fall” Lucifer OC sometime tonight. His blog is nearly setup! He isn’t a true pre-fall Luci. He is not a time traveling or alternate universe Lucifer, nor is he a twin to Lucifer. The story I’ve got is he was made well after Lucifer’s fall as a replacement to fill the hole in God’s grief of casting down his favorite angel.

Lucid showing off his true seraph side is always fun to write~ I need to have him show that off more often. With how reluctant he is to fight though Lucid has only shown his double hoop halo and dozens of eyes on his wings on two occasions (both in future timelines). Going through his trials to gain self-confidence and face his fears of the power he potentially has would be fun to explore.

The Eveningstar and The Crowfather

As the Lucid crosses the border to Philza's land, the skies undergo a sudden, dramatic transformation. Colorful auras fill the forever night sky, with bright stars twinkling overhead, and not a hint of light pollution in sight. The land is a tapestry of mystical trees, vibrant plants, and creatures of all shapes and sizes. Beams of light, like colorful beacons, stretch into the sky, and the Lucid can feel his magic reacting to them, growing stronger and receiving a boost.

Philza's crows, in both their crow and angel forms, were everywhere, observing the newcomer's every move. They quickly surrounded Lucid, those in crow form landing on various points of his body, shoulders, and even his head. They meticulously pecked and inspected his clothing and form. The crows in their natural form stayed back, their masks giving them an eerie resemblance to plague doctors, but their watchful eyes never left Lucid.

They watched….silently, waiting for Lucid to make a move
