One of the men drinking against the wall next to him snorted. “That’s a goose-chase, lad.” “A monster chase,” Lucian corrected. He re-read the note, shaping out the words under his breath. “Is a hundred coronets a lot?” “If you think the real Master Zinberos is going to give you a hundred real gold coins for running around in the woods, then aye,” the man said, “it’s a lot.”
