One Last Stop – August moves to NYC to escape her mother trying to solve the case of her missing brother (August’s uncle), finding an apartment with so many friendly people. On her subway commute, she notices a girl who rocks a vintage 70s outfit and starts to feel things for her. Jane. After a few conversations during her commute on the Q train (which Jane seems to always be on), she realises that Jane is literally from the 1970s, taken out of time. August’s life is filled with mysteries all over again, but this time she’s invested.

The Binding – In Emmett’s world, books aren’t just fantasy, they’re reality. Book binders take people’s memories and place them inside books, stealing these memories forever. A small, local book binder summons Emmett as an apprentice after he recovers from an illness brought on by trauma. He starts as an apprentice and slowly recovers and is only forbidden from entering the library, where all the books are kept. But one day, a man named Lucian Darnay arrives to see Emmett’s master, but upon seeing Emmett, he recognises the man instantly.

I read “The Binding” by Bridget Collins last month and it’s been living rent-free  in my head ever since, so of course I had to paint something.

It makes me laugh every single time Emmett misinterprets desire for disgust.

The way Lucian stares at me? Hatred. This tight feeling in my chest when I see him? Anger. I can't believe he would rescue this puppy and show me his favourite part of the forest because he despises me so much.

Lucian was trying so hard to get Emmett to like him and Emmett was just like "I don't know, you've got bad vibes."

The Binding

i started reading ‚The Binding‘ by Bridget Collins (for your information I’m at page 138 (the first proper meeting between Lucian and Emmett)) and so far I am in love.

I got in to the book completely blind, I know nothing about what’s going to happen, although I feel somehow anxious because I can see a sort of tragedy coming.

However the book is amazing so far. I love emmett, de Havilland is somehow getting on my nerves but I guess we’ll see

Ben Hardy, we don't really get much of a description of Emmett other than he has sandy brown hair but he's soft and pretty and Ben Hardy in my head.

Timothee Chalamet.

I feel this needs no explanation.

Seredith

The wonderful Helen Mirren. So Seredith doesn't have much of a part in the book but what an impression she would make with Helen playing her.

Mr Darnay

Michael Sheen. Can play the villain and the gentleman. I love him but he's shown he can be equal parts charming and sly.
