Appearance and Personality

Appearance: Lucia has a petite yet average female body, let alone that she focuses on her daily nutrients within her schedule which was the cause of her body's physical changes. She has cloud periwinkle colored fluffly hair which only the two sides of her hair are longer to reach to the ground while on her behind which is cut to her neckline. She has lavender blush colored eyes which they can turn into bell white whenever she uses her willow abilities, just like her fellow forest whisperling companions. Lucia is morefully a composed young women, but she tends to keep her mouth quiet often than speaking.

Personality: Born within the third part of the Land of Wisteriana, known as the Blooming Grove. Lucia grew up within the states within various chapels and temples created by the blooming blossoms, her family including herself as well would often visit the temple to continue the following traditions from their main country itself, though no feelings were added from anyone in this country Lucia was offered to be the gardener's for the temple right after her practices for her abilities had been caught by the mage who worked for the temple herself. It wasn't before long when she agreed to join in after a recent issue she had that has an involvement with wish-granting by the flower bed around midnight o'clock. 

As time passed on, she continued her practices hoping to develop some improvements within her abilities as she continued her training sessions right after every single effort she took. Lucia continued her daily schedule till the current timeline. 

The Lucia in the current timeline is now a composed yet silent young lady, who seems to value her time slowly but doesn't waste most of her free time on anything that catches her interest, especially whenever she sees something that does not impress her current mood. Mostly she stays in a poker face-like expression, which doesn't last long whenever she does her training sessions rather privately away from a crowd full of people. She tends to be silent often but can reply if that’s necessary.

She rarely talks towards anyone, including her own dorm mates, except for those who belong within the rift dimension. She’s often seen with some of the crestria demi-gods, the angels within the rift, or even Westyn’s group who were scouted within RSA, including her fellow forest whisperling buddies such as Shirrira and her cousins and the other races which allow her to talk comfortably without hesitation. Despite herself also being scouted like the rest of them, Lucia then decided to keep herself in a low profile for now. Though she can be social if you can try to talk with her if the timing is correct, she may interact if that’s a possible chance.

She’s very patient with anyone who tries to speak to her aside from her fellow rift citizens or the people who try to communicate with her, let alone that she doesn't sound meek or let alone timid as well, Lucia is very mature for her age, especially when she’s good with her formalities with others with status or not. Aside from that, she often gives advice and opinions whenever a question arises that perks her mind, sometimes she’s closed off or open-minded but she picks what she wants to do with it. Though she can rather create light entertainment for others to light up the mood a bit.

Be mindful whenever you speak, because Lucia has a strong yet sharp sense of hearing for words, especially related or not related to topics at all. She's selective about topics being picked on, let alone is rather sensitive or disturbed by hearing something that isn't much for her, more fully she can be judgemental and awfully cold with the person she dislikes, criticizing rather with negativity which she's only stating facts and doesn't care od what the other person thinks of her replies afterward. She doesn't see much effort in anyone who tries to sugarcoat her words regardless.

Composed as a lady at all times, let with abilities that needed to be practiced as well. This forest whispering has her way through her granting abilities, but please don't ask much from her or she'll take a breath.

-The name 'Lucia' means light and is the feminine form of Lucius and of Italian origin meaning. While her surname 'Primrose' is habitational name from the lands of Primrose (Fife). The placename is probably of Celtic origin, containing Pictish or Gaelic ros 'wooded promontory'

-She's based on Farrah Goodfairy, from the Ever After High Franchise and Series.

-Is born from two mothers, so she doesn't have a father figure. But her uncle is considered as one.

-Entered the temple as a royal gardener, which she became well respected and admired by the visitors within her homeland.

-She's often seen with her race companions the most aside from the other rift races. Shirrira alongside with her two cousins, Nocturne and Othenio are one of the examples.

-She seems on the neutral terms with her dorm and her dorm mates. Despite being on a silent terms with them. Though she is trying to communicate with them though she needs to take her time to work it out.

-She has a pet white flying squirrel, named Pi.

-Lucia seems to be on natural terms with the other races of the rift, mostly with the humanity within the rift as well.

-Is normally a tea person, however she doesn't have a favourite flavour since she tried all of the tea flavours back in her days.

-Her Curse: (Due to her wishing abilities, she can only grant one person three wishes but only once in a day. Once midnight hits, the spells and the wish itself will be reverse back to normal which it affects her mentality due to her past, she's recovers her sanity by laying on the flowerbeds around at night but that's a slight minimum. However the three wishes cannot be granted by the same person ever permanently after.)

-According to her info, she seems to be closed off by many people as a child ever since they had seen her magic such as wish granting which is conflicted to her greatly. One night near midnight, a high-class noble had planned a kidnapping on Lucia for her magic for wishes but was caught by one of the temple's sevants servants during the progress of the crime. Petrified of the incident, Lucia loses much of her mental health which cost her to be hospitalized for one whole week.

-Her huge dislikes for nobility and wealth status was from the incident she went through as a child.

-Despite her gaining a curse (even if she's from the rift, which some race abilities are the curses itself), she never grants a person's selfish wishes. Which her curse may not work on them at all.

-Based on her personality, Lucia is very silent due to her not being very communicative with others. But whenever she speaks, she sounds composed and polite towards anyone she speaks to normally. Which is why I chose Suzuko Mimori to be her voice actor.

-Struggles to recover her sanity, but with her curse intact. It was not easy.

-Seems to explore ruins with Venomia at daily chances.

-Is often seen with Harper and Westyn on her daily basis.

So I've been into Octopath since the year it came out as a franchise basically and I recently finished the second game so I felt like ranking both games' characters and stories based on my likings. Remember that all opinions are valid and if I didn't enjoy your favorite character or story as much as you did it's fine :) also, there aren’t characters or stories I actually disliked with two exceptions so I’m mostly being kind- but honest.

May do spoilers so I'll put them under a cut

Ot1

Stories

Olberic - His story has to be my favorite because of its impeccably functional structure and climax. I am a sucker for redemption stories and I think they nailed every chapter of it. They even made me like the arena chapter even though I'm not a fan of tournament arcs. It's a very well-executed emotional story and it had me hooked since the beginning (also loving the “plot twist” that his final chapter boss is NOT Erhardt, which is what everyone is expecting since chapter 1)

Cyrus - A compelling mystery story with some plot twist I liked and actually interesting pieces of lore in it. What I liked the most about it (if we ignore Therese's blatant deus ex machina moment in his ch3) is that you can't really tell what will happen when you go into one of his chapters. Also has probably the best ch4 with some of the rawest lines ever against Lucia

Alfyn - Loved his chapter 3 to death because of the moral ambiguity and also has one of the best side characters (Ogen). Golden boy has to doubt everything he knew in his life and I love that. Has kind of a slow start though

Ophilia - While I think ch2 could be executed much better and made less boring, the circular structure and moral of her story is amazing. The emotional ch4 almost made me tear up

H'aanit - Cute interpretation of a "pupil has to find his mentor" story and has some epic moments like chapter 3. Not much more than that but it was still really enjoyable (bonus mention for Susanna, one of the best npcs)

Primrose - Kinda compelling revenge tale, except that it ends in the most unsatisfying way possible. Has some nice ideas but I felt so empty and broken at the end of her ch4 because she too is empty and broken

Tressa - Not a fan of the "coming of age stories" but I enjoyed her rivalry with Ali and her friendship with Noa, as well as Leon's backstory. No hate, just the more lighthearted stories are not really my cup of tea. Apart from those, it found it pretty boring and probably has the most anticlimactic final boss ever

Therion - The one story I really didn't like because of... many reasons. Like, it really had potential with the whole Dragonstones thing and everything but they executed it in the worst way possible. Also I hate how they tried to make him trust people again thanks to some questionable people like Cordelia and Heathcote... it just didn't feel right and left me asking myself but why though so many times

Characters

Cyrus - I do love every high intelligence - low wisdom character, bonus of they're a dork and kind of naive. Could write a whole essay about him so just know he won my heart he’s been my blorbo for what 3 years now? Almost 4

Olberic - Another trope I love is grumpy and probably depressed characters who just have a heart of gold inside and use their strength to protect the people they love so there you have it. They did a great job of delivering the emotional baggage in his internal monologues

Ophilia - I love how her character gravitates around the concept of love, loss and family. She's so dear to me

H'aanit - I like her view of the world and her stoic personality but I must say that for a main character, her introspective side could've been explored more

Alfyn - Sunshine boy who feels too much. I do like men who are not afraid of crying in front of others

Therion - a bit of a lone wolf stereotype- but I like his dry and sarcastic attitude when he talks to the other members of the party

Tressa - I like that she's a bit hot-headed and I like her enthusiasm. Definitely a character who shines more when she's with other characters though

Primrose - I think they messed up a bit with her characterization sadly because I can't really tell how the real Primrose is supposed to be even after ch4. She's often portrayed as an overly-flirty femme fatale even though it's probably trauma response and often says some... questionable things to the other members of the party in her travel banters, it's hard to get her true personality right. When she's angry, she kinda comes off as cold and distant, too. I think the writers could've done a better job with her

Ot2

Stories

Castti - Hands down the best Octopath Traveler main story ever imo. It was perfect from how the emotions were delivered to the compelling plot, to the climax in her chapter 3 and the bittersweet ending in her chapter 4. So heartbreaking and has a great attention to details, as well as amazing side characters. Perfect under every aspect and I loved the “horror rpg” vibe to it

Osvald - Amazing revenge tale (and kinda mimicking The Count of Montecristo), much more effective than Primrose's and also more heartbreaking and with an ending that's a bit more satisfying (even if the last chapter is definitely the weakest one and could've been handled better for such a good story). Cool plot twists at the right times an a villain that's actually Rotten to the Core (if we ignore the ridiculous laugh Harvey has). His chapter 1 was probably the best Octopath Traveler chapter 1 narration-wise and had me almost crying at his chapter 4 boss

Throné - I wasn't expecting her story to be this good in the slightest but the "getting out of the mafia" tale is well-executed and has some nice side plots for its side characters, as well as some quite shocking twists near the end. Her chapter 1 is also super good and has some pretty good dialogues.

Temenos - I have mixed feelings towards this one because it had so much potential but it definitely needed more time to be done correctly. The mystery plot feels kinda rushed at times (especially in chapter 3 because I think that one is kind of a narrative mess like why is everything happening SO QUICKLY) and one fatal flaw: Kaldena's backstory not being addressed well enough. She is really a character who needed to pop out more in his story. In the end it's probably a matter of pacing but it does have some real big wasted potential. Also another story that like Primrose's leaves you with a really bitter aftertaste except this time it's actually fitting for Temenos' character

Ochette - .....I'm sorry guys this story is literally Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire for a good 70% of it. Which doesn’t make it necessarily the worst story but it’s not original either. What I liked though is that it has some real good first and final chapters that got me kind of emotional and also kinda creeped me out. The side "anti-racism plot" could've been articulated better narratively but that's what we got in the end so. Also big wasted potential.

Hikari - I am not a fan of stories in which by chapter 1 you already know how they're going to end and Hikari's was exactly like this. I quite enjoyed the arena chapter and the chapter in Stormhail as well, and some parts of it were very cinematic. Not much more than that

Partitio - DISCLAIMER for the next 2 stories: again, I am not a fan of lighthearted stories because of personal taste, nothing else. I want the drama lol. This is why this one was not my cup of tea. I liked the narrative pace of chapter 1 but after that one it just kinda goes a little overboard with the crazyness idk it felt kinda weird to have a bulldog, a jobless guy and a train as bosses. What I loved were the "scent of commerce" side-stories though because it was really fitting to the time period the game is set in to have the merchant traveler interested in financing new inventions and machines. Also not that compelling overall

Agnea - Guys I'm sorry but this one was a big no for me. Legit had me really bored most of the time (especially didn't like the musical parts and her dialogues-only chapter 3 oh god) and never really got me hooked. I liked how cinematic her final boss battle was though and big w for the lesbians in her story I guess

Characters

Castti - Loved her caring, yet sarcastic attitude. She was such a fun and interesting character to be around (if we ignore how many times the travelers insist on calling her “mom” because she is just so much more) and has traits to her that left me quite surprised

Osvald - I love that for once we have a character that's not always nice to the other party members. I like his sharp tongue and atypical behavior, and him going nonverbal at times. A really interesting take on the scholar character I appreciated a lot (also dilfs lover here sorry not sorry)

Temenos - Mixed feelings for Temenos, again, because he does kinda sound like certain anime characters from my childhood but he is a fun character. Sly, snarky, diffident and secretly very broken inside is always a winning combination

Throné - I liked her a lot. I like the contrast between her kind personality and the gruesome job she's forced to do, and that she wants to redeem herself from everything she had to bear since she was a kid. I love her soft side and that she wants to be the good person she is

Partitio - Alfyn, but better. I can say I'm a fan of his over the top humour and attitude and his kind, generous heart

Agnea - Fun girl! I like her bubbly personality and also that she is stubborn and determined. She’s not a deep character but she is still fun

Ochette - I think her character had wasted potential. Even though I agree that she's fun and quirky, they didn't do a great job of portraying her as part of another whole species because they really kinda just made her personality rotate around liking meat. Also didn't really like how unnecessarily infantilized she was rip but she is still cute and fun

Hikari - .......Hikari likers I'm sorry. Oomfs who are Hikari likers if you’re reading this just know that I think your tastes are valid and I'm the one in the minority because everyone loves Hikari, so sorry for what I'm about to say but he kinda was what ruined his own story for me, as well as being the only traveler I actually dislike. I didn't like his teeth-rotting sweet dialogues and his whole character rotating around the concept of friendship. I didn't like that his one (1) flaw is him being possessed by a demon because of his cursed blood. He's too perfect. Therefore to me he's too uninteresting. Sorry!

Frostlands

Alpine Italy

Based on the architecture and etymology of certain names (primarily Lianna and Josef) then I think the Frostlands are Alpine Italy. It has a lot of medieval Italian traits, with a Catholic cathedral.

Flatlands

Germany and England

The architecture seems a bit more German than English to me, the names are a bit mixed though. Cyrus does have Greek origins, but it is amongst several Greek names popular in England so I am counting it as English. Primrose is also very much English, but Yvon and Lucia are German. Therese and Mary are sort of in the middle. Based purely on Whispermill, then I’d say Flatlands is 65% German and 35% English because England does not have very much agriculture and imports a lot of it from Denmark.

Coastlands

Italy

Architecture is stereotypical vaguely medieval Europe but the Coastlands is definitely Mediterranean because of the climate and etymology of certain names. The rocky beaches are fairly normal in more mountainous areas of Italy.

Highlands

Germany and British Isles

Olberic Eisenberg is the most German name you could ever imagine, then there’s even Erhardt, Alfred, Gustav and Werner, like the last name Eisenberg wasn’t enough. Then there’s also Hornburg, you know, burg, a common germanic suffix meaning castle or to protect. Architecture is, again, sort of vaguely medieval but the area looks a bit too sad to be Germany. There’s a bit of the horrors of British mountains in the Highlands, but not a lot.

Sunlands

Middle East

This is the Middle East. There are names like Yusufa, Ali and Maruf, the architecture is very violently Arabic and almost every female npc sprite is veiling in some way. I do not know enough about the Middle East to pinpoint the exact country unfortunately.

Riverlands

France by the river Rhine.

Cliftlands

California (?)

This one, I don’t know. Therion is a Greek name, Cordelia is Latin and Heathcote and Ravus are old English. That would be all fine and dandy but the region is a dry desert cliff. I’m saying western US? I genuinely have no clue.

Woodlands

Germany or Sweden

The two places it could be are either Germany or Sweden. Germany famously has the black forest and wolves (no leopards or tigers but let’s not get into that because both are one time things) so it’s a good bet, but H’aanit is a Hebrew name.

Reason for Sweden: during ww2, almost all danish Jews fled to Sweden and never came back to Sweden has a relatively large Jewish population, which would explain H’aanit having a Hebrew name while Z’aanta (I WISH I could figure out where his name is from, I’m guessing Hebrew too because of the apostrophe) gets a wolf with an umlaut A in the name. Sweden is also really cold and the Woodlands are next to the Frostlands so theres another reason why it might be more Swedish than German. Of course, Linde is a German name, but there is a large German speaking population in Sweden because of the education system and also because Swedish is not very widespread so. Ough idk I have many thoughts about the possibility of H’aanit being Scandinavian.

Toto’haha

Hawa’aii next question

One has to wonder why there is a lion in Hawa’aii. I have a long rant about racism that I could insert here but I won't. Colonialism plays a large role in Ochette’s story, Toto’Haha is an island region and it also has many apostrophes and glottal stops, like ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi.

Harborlands

Mediterranean, mostly Italy

Completely ignoring Roque island for obvious reasons, look at Canalbrine then look at pictures of Venice Italy. Conning Creek looks like a seaside Italian town, not to mention that there are few names more Latin than Rita.

Brightlands

19th century France

Architecture seems like a Latin European Victorian era city but the NPCs dress in Edwardian era wear. As much as it kind of really bothers me then I’m gonna ignore it because I am figuring out place, not time. Sebastian, Marietta and Pirro are Latin names, yadda yadda, square enix loves Italy and France, nothing new here.

Winterlands

Russia

Clothing is very obviously Russian. I do not remember the architecture and I do not care to look it up but the sanctum knight hq has a massive stained glass window that might imply Catholicism. The Russians, as far as I know, are not Catholics but the window would definitely imply something more Catholic than the horrendous protestant churches full of nothing but wasted potential and naked walls. I’m getting off track. Warden Davids could have a Russian accent and no one would bat an eye.

The clothes a lot of npcs wear (Pala included) is classic Germanic traditional wear. There’s a teensy bit of German and Italian thrown in for good measure so I’m doing a compromise and saying Switzerland. Timberain looks very Germanic and has a monarchy which you don’t get in most Latin countries but you do get in Scandinavia. Anyway I personally am not a fan of the Swiss because they’re stupid and pretentious but Agnea octopath is an exception. Also there’s a bit of southern US in there because Agnea talks weird. So there’s that. She’s my beloved little Swiss-American-Brazilian silly girl <3

Crestlands

I would rather you put me through scaphism and call me slurs than have to figure out exactly what the Crestlands are.

So I may have overanalyzed Octopath again

Cut me some slack I’m still salty from my Duopath run earlier-

major spoilers btw so proceed with caution

> FROSTLANDS - WAKEFUL STONE - Awakening the minds of the devout/ the First Guardian rising from slumber to perform the Kindling (Flamesgrace) - Frostlands Dragon awakening from slumber to defend against intruders upon the Whitewood/ 'Wake-up' call to the villagers via the infiltration of the Obsidian Manse (Stillsnow) - 'Wake-up call' for Darius that MAYBE being a dick all the time isn't good for the soul. Or the body./ Therion's 'wake-up call' to the realization that trust is a sentiment worth fighting for (Northreach)

> FLATLANDS - ANTIDOTE STONE - Yvon and Lucia's reign over the Academy is akin to a malaise that's 'poisoning' the Academy (Atlasdam) - The Dragonstone was poisoning Orlick's mind/ The Obsidians' existence is like a parasite upon their town (Noblecourt) - The citizens were 'poisoned' with Mattias's promises and ideals (Wispermill)

> COASTLANDS - ARTICULATE STONE - Standing up to the pirates in defense of those they've robbed (Rippletide) - Speaking the truth about Vanessa's toxic and dishonest ways/ Coercing the truth out of Daniel and Bishop Donovan in order to prevent tragedy (Goldshore) - Gathering the courage to present and speak in front of the crowd in order to reach Noa Wyndham (Grandport)

> HIGHLANDS - BRIGHT STONE - Olberic's eyes 'lit up' when he saw Erhardt's blade in Gustav's possession (Cobbleston) - H'aanit's resolve was 'clear' to her once she saw Z'aanta/ Cyrus's philosophy is a 'bright' one compared to Yvon's 'dark age' (Stonegard) - The ampitheater; 'lights', camera, action (Everhold)

> SUNLANDS - CALMING STONE - Primrose endures Helginish's abuse with perfect calm and grit (Sunshade) - Erhardt's Blazing Blade inflicts terror/ Therion maintains his calm until Darius shows up (Wellspring) - H'aanit's determination does not waver once in her quest to kill Redeye in Marsalim, delivering her promise to the King (Marsalim)

> RIVERLANDS - CLARITY STONE - The information Alfyn gleans from Lily allows him to find the cure for Nina (Clearbrook) - Ophilia helps 'clear up' a misunderstanding and miscommunication between a group of friends/ Alfyn gets his dose of reality when he faces Miguel in combat after his betrayal (Saintsbridge) - Olberic is finally able to realize his purpose in perfect 'clarity' when he faces Werner/ the truth behind the Fall of Hornburg comes to light (Riverford)

> CLIFTLANDS - CONSCIOUS STONE - Therion's lack of 'foresight' led to his servitude under Cordelia Ravus (Bolderfall) - None of the miners are aware of the injustice behind Morlock's schemes/ Cyrus finds 'unconscious' citizens in the sewers (Quarrycrest) - Alfyn has to tap into his 'consciousness' to remember the cure to the illness he'd contracted as a child (Orewell)

> WOODLANDS - VIVIFYING STONE - H'aanit educates the player about the nature of 'life' in the forest (S'waarki) - Olberic figures out the truth behind Erhardt's 'life' and motivations for bringing down an entire kingdom/ Leon lost his dearest friend after having been asked what his life's treasure is (Victor's Hollow) - Cyrus faces a monster of functional immortality- one who cannot 'die'/ discovers that From the Far Reaches of Hell contained the secret arts of life and death (Duskbarrow)

Now some of my favorite octopath villains come from CotC, not gonna lie. But I’m just gonna take into account the main series for this tier list. I’ll try to pick 1 villain for every traveler but this is not always possible because the hunters, for example, only have beasts as bosses and Agnea’s story doesn’t really have villains in it

A thing I have noticed is that because the octopath villains are mainly related to the postgame story, octopath 2 surely has an advantage in this sense because most of its villains are way more interesting and involved into the main plot with the whole Moonshade order thing going on

Ot1

1. Lucia - She has great cinematic presence and I LOVE the exchange of words she has with Cyrus before her battle in chapter 4. She is his moral antagonist and has a badass demonic form also I adore villains who operate behind the scenes and scheme their own plans behind others’ back. Also probably the only ot1 chapter 4 villain I actually quite like

2. Miguel - he served his purpose in Alfyn’s story perfectly. He is the element that makes Alfyn question everything he has learned and introduces Ogen and the moral ambiguity of saving lives and who’s worth saving. Miguel really is rotten to the core and I loved it because the player also knows he’s irredeemable

3. Mattias - one of the co-founders of the obsidians and in his lines of dialogue often had me agreeing with him lol. You can’t help but wonder if he’s right about some things (wow you’ll see so many misanthropic villains in here and it’s often because I think they have a point lol) also love his extra pose his battle sprite has

4. Werner - Has some raw lines of dialogue in his exchange with Olberic and I love how they’re directed at Olberic himself rather than just talking about his evil plan. I still think it’s so stupid that his sprite has a horse

5. Simeon - One of the most cinematic boss battles for sure, a look into his evil and twisted mind but he was a bit too extra for me and kinda stole the show (pun intended) from Primrose. I have mixed feelings about him I think he has an interesting concept to him but the execution could’ve been better

6. Darius and Gareth - Now the thing I like about them is that they have so many unhealthy psychological issues to them and that makes them interesting. I love how Darius is so insecure about himself that he had to surround himself with servile people and that he dressed his right hand man like Therion. You can’t convince me that Gareth’s purple poncho was just a coincidence

The octopath 1 villains I like end here I think. No I’m not putting Esmeralda in here

Ot2 (misanthropists let’s gooo)

1. Arcanette - 10/10 perfect villain. Tick all the boxes for me. She’s manipulative, deceptive, sadistic, not only misanthropic but actually nihilistic. She never loses her temper and her powers are so cool (loving the thorny vines aesthetic) I just like her a lot. A shame I haven’t still drawn fanart of her but I swear I really like her

2. Kaldena - The one villain who Deserved Better ™️. You can’t really be mad at her. She’s just a girl who suffered a lot and got lied to. I think she deserved a better exchange of words with Temenos because her boss battle is sadly a bit underwhelming. Also badass woman in armor with a Big Ass Sword hellooooooooooo. Didn’t want to kill her she deserved redemption

3. Oboro - Loved his plot twist and loved his role in Hikari’s story. Cunning and smart villain + vengeance yesssss

4. Harvey - mixed feelings about Harvey because I’m not a fan of his characterization and final battle, he looks a bit stupid and has the dumb “default villain laugh” but, and I do not say this lightly because Helgenish in ot1 exists and he’s a literal sexual assaulter and human trafficker, I think Harvey is the worst/best octopath villain (excluding cotc) in terms of evil stuff he’s done. Like, he’s the most evil to me. He’s rotten ROTTEN. I hated him so much I really wanted to make him explode. What he did to Osvald alone is unforgivable and sick but let’s not forget he is guilty of animal cruelty and torture and that’s where I draw the line because harming animals is another level of evil to me. Sick villain. I loved it.

5. Trousseau - Another really twisted and sick villain with suįcįdal purposes. He’s completely gone crazy and killing off people with that deadly poison is really metal also his design in general rocks. He’s really cool and gives you mixed feelings because you can’t help but hate him for what he does but feel bad for him because he’s convinced he’s helping people and doing something good. Really cool villain

6. Father - Also really cool villain for his role in the story and in Throné’s character developement. His chapter 3 was so impactful, emotional and heartbreaking. Love the twisted way he interacts with Throné because you can see he loves her as a daughter but he has long forgotten how real, healthy love is supposed to be. I kinda felt bad for having to kill him and so did Throné I’m sure

7. Claude - The villain who had me say the biggest “what the fuck” out loud (excluding cotc lol) in octopath. I loved everything from Lostseed’s chilling atmosphere from whatever the fuck Claude has been doing during because that’s just so twisted. I was like WHAT THE FUUUCK

8. Darkling Akala/Darkling Mahina - Didn’t really know whether to put them in a villain tier list because I’m not sure they can be considered villains but it’s definitely one of the main boss fights I liked the most. It was heartbreaking, to see that happened to the companion you don’t choose. Animal abuse is a topic that always hits me deeply so I almost teared up when Ochette had to kill it. Definitely the most heartbreaking fight also cool ass Darkling design

Not putting Mugen in here because he is just too stupidly hard to beat for being that shallow. Also horse 🐎

All the ot2 villains I put in here are excellent villains it was difficult to put them in order really

this is just as bad, if not worse, than my previous idea

-olberic is a soldier of... what do i call it... goshdang it i'm just calling it atlasrule, and he does it really well

-erhardt and he are excellent at it, but they prefer sticking to one area: olberics hometown of... i'm calling it hornburgia(that's an awful name, i know)

-they're called to the capital for a meeting, and they aren't very happy about it but they accept anyways

-olberic just wants to pet his cat, goddamnit

-and they go there to complete mayhem

-nobles are out on the streets, screeching about how their rivals are dirty liars! That they never betrayed the capital, and that everyone who claims so is a "dirty fool who hasn't seen money once before in their lives"!

-olberic and erhardt: -_-

-they head towards the meeting location and are yelled at by those people. it's one hell of a saturday

-they ask the guard captain what in the name of jesus christ is going on -he heard that a group of nobles conspired against prince cyrus after he came out of the closet, and they didn't manage to take him out. -olberic and erhardt, bisexual disaster besties they are, are like "...well they had it comin" and move on to what they're needed for

-they need to be the bodyguards for prince cyrus because he's being attacked

-erhardt declines because he wants to protect hornburgia. olberic accepts because he can

-and so he meets the prince of atlasrule. and happens to get along with him very well

-they accidentally match clothes one day and the king just stared at them like

-and over the course of a month they start crushin HARD

-it's a problem for no one but the kings advisor, werner

-he's constantly reminding the prince that he needs to focus on his studies, no matter what emotions he may face

-olberic literally has to carry cyrus out bridal style from the library a few times a week, which allows the maids of the house to flip the hell out every time he has to ensure cyrus doesn't sleep on a desk

-the things he does for his crush, am i right?

-then olberic finds out that the attack on cyrus for coming out of the closet was orchestrated by a person still in the castles service, and rightfully freaks the fork out

-he alerts cyrus, and tells him to keep it a secret. they need to know who it is before exacting their revenge on this perpetrator

-cyrus lets werner know about this mysterious perpetrator, having trusted him for years

-cyrus is kidnapped the following week

-olberic starts investigating like. all the time -even on weekends

-boi is stressed as hell, and is out of a job

-he follows the advice of cyrus to go ahead and look for the master sword

-he goes to the water kingdom for their key to the sword first -alfyn, an amateur doctor, shows olberic where to find the key: inside the stomach of their queen, who has been incredibly unwell for the past few months -he's analyzed the causes again and again, and can find only one cure: an herb only found in Bolderfall, where the Gorons live -olberic agrees to go there- there's another key to the sword in the region anyways

-they get to Bolderfall, and things are in a royal mess -the people there are sick too, but from a completely different ailment -alfyn's able to treat it, and he goes around helping people all day -he's incredibly tired, and olberic pays for his inn stay for once

-the next day, they wake up to alfyns bag being stolen -olberic and alfyn track down the thief, who is attempting to treat some of their accomplices -alfyn properly takes care of these individuals, and questions the thief as to why he stole the bag -thief was trying to take care of these people, since no one's even bothering with their own family and there's no apothecary that'd dare take care of the low income portions of the city -alfyn insists otherwise and makes conversation with the guy while olberic gets his first key

-the next day, they head back to clearzoras domain, with the thief named therion in tow -he's tagging along because he wants to, he claims. they don't want to push their luck, so they aren't prying -they save the queen in the brink of time, so she regurgitates the key and olberic's off to find the last one -alfyn and therion accompany him- alfyn to travel the world and help more people out, therion for undisclosed reasons -on their way to the forest, they encounter primrose -she travels with the rest of the group because she is heading that way anyways

-the third area is not in trouble until primrose stabs someone and werner chooses violence at the same time -one of his underlings, a naive fool called darius, lead the charge of an assault on the entirety of atlasrule -werner's attempting to take over the kingdom after imprisoning both the king and his son -they're to be killed once werners conquest is done and over with -therion interrupts darius's monologue with a very violent kick to the nuts -and then therion wins in combat against a darius on a horse -olberic grabs the third key with the assistance of a huntress known as h'aanit in the middle of the commotion

-therion explains that darius was an old friend, and he heard from rumors that he can not only kick him in the nuts, but also destroy everything he's ever worked for. after what he's done to therion, it's only fair at this point -alfyn and co. learn about therions trauma and alfyn becomes a lot more protective over therion -it makes olberic chuckle a little bit- reminds him of his own crush on cyrus

-primrose describes her own dilemma with avenging her father, and is now accompanied by haanit wherever she goes -she doesn't mind it, either

-olberic unlocks the master sword, and now the group can challenge werner and tressa, the spirit of the sword, is constantly talking to olberic in his head -he wants this to be over ASAP- he is terrified for cyrus's life -he and the rest of the group storm through the castle, fight redeye, cassandra(is that tressa ch4 boss or is my brain f-cking with me), simeon, lucia... all those fellas, and then they fudge werner up -it all goes off without a hitch- cyrus is freed from his prison cell and fights with the rest of them as well -fudging werner up is a successful mission

-following the events of this, olberic and cyrus get together -they get married in the far, far future, but they do start dating after werners insurrection -they get the countries shit back together, and say gay and trans rights -a few months after the insurrection alfion occurs

and yeah this is something i wrote impulsively

i couldn't even be funny with erhardt going to femboy hooters. this is truly humorless

i am going to bed now tho, so enjoy it i guess
