So here's something a little unusual- a commissioned base for a fanspecies! I don't usually do base requests, but this one caught my interest because, hey, no one ever asked me for a fanspecies base before and it sounded interesting. This was just as difficult as I thought it would be but also very fun. If you have any questions about these, you can always ask auspexalien about them!

WOOO YEAHGH.... saw this base on @deepseaspriteblog (who also sprited the dreamer outfits, sorry i forgot to include that on the image!) for the cyclops species by @lucheek and i really wanted to make one.... and was attacked by the Pink Fever. sorgy. planning to take the general notes of this design and apply it to other species (fantroll, fankid and cherubs r def on the planner but if there's ever a lets make a rando guide which is another species by that same creator i will be THERE!!) hence why i made it a rogue of space. i saw somebody describe rogues as "one who shatters their aspect and distrubutes it among other players" n i thought that'd be a fun class for what will esentially be a multi-universe character.

i hope this Girlthing meets the species standards! i didnt see anything abt naming conventions or dreaming moons or symbols or anything so i looked at the few other cyclops designs i could find and tried to work off of that. id love to know if this breaks any species conventions even if it isnt a Sin bc i enjoy designing my characters as closely to the spoken/unspoken rules of a species as possible. my fantrolls will NEVER have eyebrows!!!!!!!! nevaaa /j sorry if this is formatted awkwardly or does not meet tumblr-etiquette standards (am i supposed to tag artists on these posts? or only credit them by name? or tag some sideblog? argghghh) i literally have not a clue on how to use this website. im learning. be patient with me...

i don't think this will be a surprise to literally anyone considering the absolute radio silence from this blog for this entire year, but yea lesbian deer story is now OFFICIALLY going on hiatus. [party blower noise]

why?? well basically sometimes when u keep hitting walls on a thing it's better to just put it up on the shelf and maybe get back to it later rather than keep running into walls trying to fix it. me and lucheek both decided that the shelf option was better for both of us in this case.

that said, lucheek and i still have plans to collaborate on stuff, and we actually have a fucking TROVE of good ideas to work with. but also we both agreed that it'd be best for us to actually have somthn tangible to show off before posting about anything we're working on, so it'll be a hot minute before anyone sees what we're up to.

i'm also gonna be working on my own individual stuff too, cuz there are certain things in this world that only i can do…… whensoever i have somthn new to show off, whether it's my own stuff or a collab work, i'm gonna shout it out here. i figure if there are still ppl interested in the stuff i make, they should know when i have a new thing to show off.

so that's that! lastly, i just wanna thank everyone who has supported us and shown interest in this project over the years. i apologize for not being able to deliver this time. we'll get 'em next time.

What do little goblins play with while their parents are away defending the evil castle?

How do you teach a baby lich-to-be the basics of the infernal alphabet?

“Jolly Ol’ Toy King: Modern Fantasy Catalogue” is an upcoming artistic anthology ‘zine that mimics the look of a hypothetical toy-store shopping catalogue in a fantastical and magical modern world.

The ‘zine project is orangized by @lucheek, and is looking for 10 to 20 more collaborators! Jolly Ol’ Toy King will need illustrators and artists to make full-page scenes, half-page toy close-ups, and bonus promo stickers, graphic and layout designers to bring the pieces together, and writers to write the inside texts and blurbs.

About The Zine

Jolly Ol’ Toy King will have a “pre-order period” for digital and physical print-edition sales, as well as bonus promotional stickers. The printed edition will be 8.5" x 11" (magazine-size.)

After this pre-order period ends, and the orders are fulfilled, contributors can choose to post or re-print their individual work. Contributors will also be able to sell physical copies of the finished ‘zine, which they can order during the pre-order period for wholesale prices.

About Contributors

All contributors must be at least 18 years old, and have mailing addresses within the United States. This project will be organized through Discord!

Contributors will receive two personal copies of the printed zine as well as two copies of all promotional stickers, a split of the profits from the pre-order period, the ability to order wholesale physical copies dring the pre-order period, and rights to sell the completed physical zine after the end of the pre-order period.

Right now, I’m looking for contributors to submit their finished work in the first week of July, for a pre-order period starting in August. This schedule is subject to change.

The content of Jolly Ol’ Toy King is meant to be for all-ages- so nothing should be graphically violent, sexual, distasteful, or hateful. We also want to avoid direct use of copyrighted characters, although parodies are acceptable.

While the total work is supposed to look like a “real” catalogue, the products themselves can be as far-fetched and silly as you want them to be! In fact, I encourage a little bit of absurd humor.

Oh my, I almost forgot- I actually made a Rose cyclops! This was the base I was the most nervous about so I used Rose as my tester to see if it works well and it does.

I’m big into the idea of Pokemon crossbreeding and the different variations that could result.  I wish it was possible for this to be added to the game, however, I understand that it would make the mechanics of the game difficult.  It would be nice though if they possibly made a side game where this was possible.  Maybe a game based around the trainer type known as the Pokemon Breeder or a related type.  Also, while I appreciate all forms of crossbreeding pictures and fusion methods, I enjoy looking at and thinking about variations that are realistic.  This are some of my favorites that I think might be realistically plausible.  I haven’t checked to see if all of these Pokemon share egg groups or not, and I don’t necessarily believe all of these work, but this is a small list of ones that mostly work for me.  These pictures came from the internet (google mostly)  and many didn’t list the artist that drew them, so if you see your work here and wish to be recognized for your work please let me know and I will see to it that it is documented.  For now I haven’t listed anyone as I don’t know who to credit.

ANOTHER ONE!!! amarett the rando!! randos are by @lucheek and the rando base, hair & dreamer outfits are by @deepseaspriteblog! they're a star, and their entire brand promotes the idea of living a luxurious effortless lifestyle. certainly not "bold glam", but moreso "yes i am this pretty and elegant and popular by design. i do not have to wear makeup i just look like this always". their main appeals are beauty products and accessories, but they probably have something with their brand on it for every item one could feasibly ever need in life. they're quite a popular star! despite the whole "this is effortless and i am cute and soft" act, they are anything but 'cute and soft'. they have a nasty reputation amongst other stars for accusing anyone working with even remotely similar aesthetics of copying, to the point most stars probably dont even wanna touch that specific shade of pink plastered all over brand, and being a popular kid on the block means that an accusation like that does NOT end well for whatever star is on the recieving end. theyve also gone through plenty of starfriends, some of whom also ended up being accused of copying after a breakup. they spend a lot of time perfecting the glowy skin "no makeup" makeup look, and theyre actually pretty jealous and certainly not "effortless". they dont really like to network with other stars that rival their popularity, but equally they dont want to "boost" a less popular star out of fear they will surpass them. this leads to most of their (ex)starfriends having brands so far removed from theirs that it almost clashes. how those copying accusations manage to work sometimes is an absolute mystery! their hearts are also an incredibly dedicated bunch, and being an ex ama*rett heart openly could get you VERY violently harassed by their current fans. despite all this, the jealousy and paranoia can be lonely at times. the life of a heart seems so.. sooo much simpler... but what kind of star wishes to become a heart? something like that ABSOLUTELY would not fly, so they dont talk about stuff like that. still, though, maybe making an ACTUAL friend somewhere down the line wouldn't hurt? i hope this was good and fits the species well! again just like my cyclops im totally open for critique on how to make them fit better in universe :D i might also design a random heart for them, to illustrate how their average heart would look, dress and behave, but for some reason my art program had SO. MANY. CLIPPING ISSUES. working on this that if i do that itll be a project for maybe a few weeks from now (or whenever i am randomly attacked by the Pink Fever again). and please. if you so any clipping/layer issues. no you dont. Look Away. Avert Your Eyes. Pretend You Do Not See It. i tried my BEST!!

it’s actually a throwback to how the two of us became friends; she was following me on twitter for a bit and i posted about wanting to see a funny meme ponified and she drew it for me! i was very moved by this generosity so i followed her back and then we became pals. and i’m glad we did cuz she is one of my favorite ppl in the whole world
