To me, opera is the most elevated form of art because it encompasses everything: music, theater, writing, visual arts, dancing & so much more. I am an opera singer & a huge opera fan as well. I love opera so much that I created @360ofopera “Opera from a different angle” to help bring awareness to all the aspects that go into making opera a reality. I look to make the behind the scenes & the work more accessible to everyone interested (or not yet interested!) in opera. One my uniquest and most glamorous experiences ever was the breathtaking performances by @metopera stars @lucapisaroni @renepapebass @angelameadesoprano @ildarabdrazakov @georgegagnidze & Maestro Marco Armiliato. It was so wonderful to get to mingle with the artists and have in depth conversations with them about the music we love most and their upcoming projects around the world. Sometimes taking opera outside of the theater can be very fun and innovative! The highlight of the night was a creative take on “La ci darem la mano” where all 5 men where fighting for Angela Meade 🤣Thinking outside of the box to present creative performances is a must today and there is a lot of it going on everywhere in the opera world. Let’s keep it coming! Bravi! This picture is from the @metopera 50th Anniversary Gala. A night for the books!! It was my first opera gala and I really enjoyed the glamorous evening filled with incredible fashion & champagne! The performances where otherworldly. Literally star after star hit the Met Opera stage and blew the audience away. It was also a very special night because @hvorostovsky was the surprise guest. His performance was very emotional for everyone in the theater that night. I will never forget it. ❤️❤️ (hier: The Metropolitan Opera)

#Repost @lucapisaroni • • • • • There will be fire... 🔥🔥🔥 I am thrilled to make my role debut as Méphistophélès in Berlioz’s ‘Damnation de Faust’ with @pittsburgh_symphony_orchestra and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh led by the brilliant @manfredhoneck. I am excited to share the stage with an all-star cast of soloists including @charles_castronovo_opera as Faust, @clementinemargaine as Marguerite, and @alexanderbirchelliott as Brander. It is said that Berlioz never intended for it to be staged, referring to his work as a ‘légende dramatique’ (a category he made up). The work is described as part cantata, part opera, and takes its inspiration from a play that was itself billed as ‘deliberately unstageable’, requiring four soloists, more than 170 chorus members, and a 98-piece orchestra.
