Now, with an ao3 upload and more chapters on the way!!
Okay so I’ve hit a mini writers block, so I was scrolling through my drafts for inspo and found this masterpiece.
I’ve never seen the post this oneshot was inspired off of in person, but I’ve seen screenshots, so it’s based off of this
Tumblr media
Hope you know I was laughing the whole time I was writing this
"THIS IS THE WORST HYRULE WE'VE BEEN IN!" Wind exclaims, startling everyone out of their thoughts.
They're in a new hyrule, and they know there's a Link somewhere. It's like a fucked up game of hide and seek, or where's Waldo. But the longer you take to seek out Waldo the longer all of your Hyrules are in danger. And the worst part? There isn't a village ANYWHERE!
"Don't be rude, Wind." Time scolds, glaring at the teen.
Legend shakes his head "No, no. He has a point." He looks around "While this place is pretty, we're low on supplies and there's not a village in sight." He points out. Wars nods along to this.
"We're on a path, there's got to be one near." Four speaks up, arms crossed.
Despite this, they continued to walk for hours.
The orange sun has begin to set, casting a shadow on hyrule as the moon begins to rise, but Hylia has apparently taken mercy upon them, because distantly they see what appears to be a village. Many sighs of relief and mummers of thanks to the gods are sent, and the chain has a new pep in their step.
It’s a quaint village, with a nice dirt road and cute little houses, alongside what appears to be some statues in the center of all of it. They agree to start at the center where the statues are, and make their way around gathering supplies and finding an inn- if there even is one, that is.
But as they walk closer to the statues, they begin to take a familiar shape. But soon enough, they see exactly why that is.
"Is that.." Time stares in awe. Jaws are dropped, eyes are bulging, and all sense of frustration from the long journey is swept away by pure bewilderment.
There in the middle of the town stood several statues, nine of them to be exact. Eight of them were shockingly familiar, though the tallest one was a stranger to them, we'll focus on that one after.
There was a statue of each of them. Time, Twilight, Legend, Warriors, Hyrule, Four, and Sky. The details aren't exactly accurate, their faces don't match very well but the clothes are very accurate much to their surprise. They know they've been reduced to fairytales across many time periods, but never have they had statues built for them.
"What. The fuck?" Legend manages to make out.
Time doesn't even censor him. He's far too flabbergasted to even bother.
"That can't be us, can it?" Sky mumbles out, walking up and running a hand along his statue. It's high quality metal, but despite that it shows age. These must have been here for ages.
An elderly lady that sits in a chair not far from the statues watches them, her aged eyes never leaving them. They can understand why, not every day you see a group of such well versed warriors after all.
She watches them carefully, and the group notices. They exchange strange glances but other then that stay relatively in their conversation about what these statues could mean, although they've quieted down.
Then, the old lady gasps, and she shakily runs as quickly as she can up to the chain.
"You are the hero's of old!" She cries out, and Sky sputters. "I- well, uh- maybe??” He knows there's no point in trying to hide it when there are literals statues built of them, albeit not completely accurate.
"They have returned to us! What foe have you come to defeat, old great ones!" The elderly lady cries out, tears beginning to form in her eyes. "I have heard tales of you from my mother and grandmother! I never imagined I would have the honors of meeting you, oh great heros!" She exclaims, falling to her knees in front of them.
People begin to gather around, walking out of their houses to see if it really was true. Kids hide behind their parents legs, mothers and fathers weep in joy, people bow their head in respect to them. Meanwhile, most of the chain had never been so uncomfortable in their entire lives.
"Uhm, hi?" Time greets, waving a hand. "You uh, you don't need to bow to us, ma'am." He speaks, helping the elderly lady up off the ground.
"You built STATUES for us?!" Wind exclaims, practically bouncing on his heels. "Hah, wait till I tell Tetra about this!" He smiles, nudging Wars.
News has quickly spread through the village, and people have started running out of their houses offering food and gifts. Apples upon apples, pots upon pots- how did they know they like pots??
"Of course we built statues! How else would we send our thanks to you for your heroism!" A women in the crowd calls out, and several mummers of agreement are heard.
"They must be here to bless us and this land!"
"No, they're here to take our offerings and answer our prayers!"
"They're here to gift us with their wisdom and courage!"
"Perhaps they're here to bless our dearest hero and savior?"
They chain pause at that last bit.
"Dearest hero and savior you say?" Wars hums, before nodding. "Yes, we're here for... the last one. We must meet with the hero of this time." He speaks, looking around at the chain, who nod along to him.
"Yes. That is correct, where is he?" Four asks.
The crowd laughs a little bit, nudging each other and mummering.
"Oh, great old ones! Locating the hero is nearly impossible! He never stays in one place for too long, such is the ways of the hero!" A father calls out, cradling his newborn in his arms.
"I'm sure if you just wait, he will stop by. Our dearest hero is always so smart, he always seems to know exactly when people need his aid!" The elderly women speaks, patting Fours head, who sends the elderly women the harshest glare he can muster.
The father that was speaking just a second ago walks up, and holds his baby out to Sky. "Would you please bless my daughter, oh great and wise hero of Skies? I wish her to prosper in life!" He begs. And just like that, the crowd stirs wildly.
"Wait, please, bless my mother for good health, oh hero of Hyrule!"
"Hero of the Four sword, would you bless my weapons for strength!"
"Oh great hero of Time, please, bless my grandfather with more time on this earth!"
"Hero of the Wind, please come bless my boat!"
"Bless our fighters, strong hero of Wars!"
"Hey! Listen! Please bless my farm for good crops and livestock, hero of Twilight!"
"Hero of Legends! Please bless my son for safe travels, won't you?"
As if things couldn't get and weirder, they just did.
"You want us to... bless you?" Wind mumbles, thoroughly confused.
The chain look between themselves, no one quite sure what to say. What does one say when they're quite literally being worshiped? No amount of monster fighting, god slaying, hyrule saving experience prepared them for this.
"Of course! Why else would you be here?" A young teen calls out.
Time takes this opportunity to get a little closer to their goal. "Well, we're hunting strangely strong monsters that bleed black. You wouldn't happen to know of any of these, would you?"
A man in the crowd calls out "Some monsters have been more bold lately!" And several mummers of agreement are heard.
A women wielding a pitchfork lazily in one hand speaks up next. “I fought one of them monsters just a few days ago, and it bled black! Just like you said!”
“Please, this is why we need your blessings!” A young women cries, and the entire crowd seems to agree.
Sky looks to Time, who looks to Wars who in turn looks to Legend, who turns to Hyrule who nudges Four, who looks at Wind who then turns to Twilight, who shrugs.
“Uhm… I, uh… Guess we have some time to kill? Might as well?” Sky says, more of a question then a statement. Time looks around, and nods.
“Okay.. Uh, we’ll bless you.” He decides. The crowd cheers, and people run up with babies in hand, shoving them out for the hero’s to take. Wind happily took the strangers babies, he was used to holding little ones after all. He somehow had three babies at once. Time had two. Legend held the infant he had in front of him, not quite sure what to do with it. Four had a toddler, Twilight had… four babies? Are they not concerned about him dropping them? Erm, anyways… Hyrule held one baby, and stared at it all wide eyed as if it was a bomb that would go off at any moment. I mean, that is sort of how babies work. Wars had two toddlers propped up on his shoulders, and one of which had his scarf in its mouth. Wars could do nothing about this. Sky held a six year olds hand, and the six year old stared up at him all wide eyed.
But now came the real question. How exactly do they bless these kids? Wind decided he would be the one to set up how to bless people. He stood out in front of everyone else and made sure they were watching. He simply kissed the babies foreheads, mumbled something under his breath and then walked back up to the babies mother. “Consider your kids blessed!” The mother gratefully takes back the kids with tears in her eyes. “Oh thank you, wise hero of the Winds!”
The rest of the chain looks at each other, and shrugs, deciding to follow in Winds footsteps. Baby forehead after baby forehead was kissed, then they had to move onto the teens, which was pretty awkward considering half of them are teenagers as well. After that, they had to bless weapons, and houses and boats and even animals. In short, a lot of things were kissed that day. And yet, still no sign of the hero of this land.
Thankfully, they were offered a free stay at the inn, but they were still frustrated.
Morning came early the next day. Children played about in the streets, farmers tended to their crops, but most importantly someone stood beside their bedsides. He was a blond teen with nasty scaring on half of his face, he was missing an ear and had long blond hair, he bore a vibrant blue tunic and a cape with a hood. He looks at the chain, then peers out the window to the statues, then back at the chain. And the chain immediately realizes this is the hero they’re looking for. Mainly because the tallest statue look exactly like him.
“You’re Link, right?” Sky sits up. The new hero nods, looking back at the statues again in pure bewilderment.
“And you’re… the hero’s of old?” He clarifies. Wind nods.
“That’s us!” The teen responds.
“Soo…” the new hero starts. “They gave you the worshipping treatment too?”

Some LU Headcanons (Pt 1)
Legend doesn’t dream. He can’t anymore. He never mentions it.
Sky has the softest clothes but Twilight gives the best hugs.
The chain (mostly Warriors) tease Wind all the time about Tetra (“She’s a friend! Just my best frie—-Stop snickering, Warriors!”).
Sky is the biggest prankster but never gets caught.
Wild, on the other hand, always gets caught.
Time can’t read very well. His letters to Malon are mostly drawings.
Warriors has the most Founding Father-ass handwriting known to mankind. Legend makes fun of him for it.
Four have out the nicknames to everyone in the chain.
Legend and Twilight have very thick hair. Wind braids it occasionally.
Twilight/Wolfie gets “the zoomies”.

Anyone up for an angsty little fic? XD
I wrote this for whumptober but never could find a prompt that fit it. So I’m publishing it now instead!
CW for blood and injury, referenced torture, and burn wounds
———————————————————
The world is blinding and it burns.
Time grits his teeth, turns from it in an effort to escape the light. Endless and crackling, reaching out, snapping back, a whip seeking an unsuspecting back.
Someone is screaming. He knows it is not him.
“What-what…no!” A foot clad in crimson stomps once, twice, a masked face bobbing in time with it. “No, no, no! This wasn’t supposed to happen!”
Fools. Time thinks. Fools and cowards.
The Yiga have brought this upon themselves.
Days, perhaps weeks of torture and experimentation have led to this. He only wishes he could have stopped it. Not for their sake. No, never for theirs. For all he cares, they can writhe beneath lightning’s brutal claws, screech, and scramble like insects trying to escape a boot.
Not for their sake does guilt pierce his soul. For Sky’s.
He lies in the center of the room, the sun in the center of a universe of destruction. Trembling with power, choking on fear, his cries ring in the hero’s ears like the bells in the Temple of Time.
The Yiga are running – the surviving ones, at least. Time can smell the smoke of their stealthy escapes. It hardly manages to permeate the heavy scent of electric death.
He breathes in, exhale hitching as he tries to move. His wounds ache and blood clings to him, dripping from the shreds of his tunic. He must get up though, he must get free.
He has to reach Sky before this power tears him apart.
The ropes around his wrists are frayed, bristling with the relentless aggression of his struggles. Day after day the Yiga had yanked him back, sliced at the fingers trying to pull at the hulking knots, aimed kicks at his stomach, his head, his back – anything to get him to cease trying to escape.
Cease trying to reach Sky.
His throat aches from shouting his name. His head pounds from sobbing.
Time contorts throbbing hands in a half-circle his wrists shriek against, pawing desperately at the same bonds that have held fast all this time.
Their strength had not been their own. This moment, they crumple beneath his force. This moment, they fall.
He is up in an instant, scrambling, gritting his teeth against the way everything shouts and screams and erupts into dazzling bursts of light and color, color and light that all take on the shade of red.
He coughs. Something damp and clammy hits the ground.
“Sky!”
One of his feet isn’t moving right. It feels like someone has wrenched it off, screwed it back on backwards. It doesn’t matter. What won’t move, will be dragged.
“Sky!”
“Time!”
The eyes that turn, tear-filled and pleading to him, match the tongues of lightning that lash out at his unarmored form. They are like the shooting stars he and Malon used to watch as they blazed across the Hyrulean sky.
Sky inhales and the force of it is nails scraping against metal, calloused fingers against a blade.
“Help me!”
The scream is a collection of shattered glass, raining down upon the room in terrible, glinting projectiles. Time winces with the pain of it.
“I’m coming.”
He chokes it out more than speaks it.
“I’m coming, Sky, just…”
He coughs again, stumbles, catches himself on the wall. It is wet with a substance he would rather not contemplate the existence of. He pushes off of it and keeps going.
The lightning reaches for him, tantalizing, hypnotic. Determined, he fights to reach it.
“Just hold on. Hold on!”
The first of them snaps back, connects with vicious precision with his thigh. He cries out, nearly crumples, and trips right into another. It sends a jolt through his side, snaking rapidly in and out of bones he didn’t even register having.
What will you do once you reach him? His mind hisses, doubtful, pessimistic. What will you do when, bloodied and broken, you fall beside him? Will you touch his shoulder? Draw him into your arms?
What good will comfort do?
He reaches for an answer. He has none. Only his mission and his determination to accomplish it.
Time grits his teeth and he presses on.
Sky screams his name again. Lightning strikes again. It is all around him now, a hurricane whose eye he is swimming towards. A hurricane that is tearing him apart.
They devour like ravenous wolfos. Streaking through muscle and sinew, razing them like fields of sun-warmed wheat; splintering bones, boiling blood. He is breathing the life-giving liquid, tasting it, smelling it. It pours from his mouth and eyes and nose, peppers the ground like a morbid artwork. It mixes with the pungent wetness of his tears and tears, melds with sickly yellow bile he cannot keep down.
“Sky…” He tries to call. He is close to him now, so close. If he just extends his arm…
His next inhale is hardly enough to be called one. At some point walking became impossible. He can’t recall when. But now he pulls himself along like a newborn babe.
Even that is too much for his body.
It smells like death. It smells like burning bodies.
He will not give up, though, not now. Sky needs him.
A trembling hand goes up, goes out, seeking its destination. An exhausted body exerts the last of its strength to lunge.
Time won’t allow himself to scream. But as he brings Sky into his arms, he can’t keep back a cry.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I so, so sorry,” sobs the shattered boy who has collapsed into him. “I can’t stop it. I can’t stop it!”
It hurts. Darkness is beginning to join the endless light.
The world is blinding and it burns. Oh, it burns. Worse than the magma of Death Mountain, worse than the clawing grasp of a deadhand, the sting of a skulltula.
It doesn’t matter.
“You can,” he croaks and pulls Sky closer. “I believe that you can.”
Time has not thought of himself as naive in a very, very long time. But for a split second, drenched in guilt, he wonders if, perhaps, he is being so now.
He shoves the thought away, drowns it beneath the battle of staying awake and staying alive.
Sky lets loose a cry like a warrior who has lost a great battle. A sound that is dazzling in its ferocity, terrifying in its grief.
“Please, please just leave.” He lifts his face, blood and soot and snot made stark against a backdrop of silvery white. “I’m gonna hurt you more than I already have! Leave!”
He tries to shove away, but it is a weak attempt. Time holds him closer.
“I won’t leave you.”
Talking is a struggle, breathing is a struggle. How long can he keep doing both?
As long as it takes.
“I am used to storms.” He smiles and that hurts as well. The expression tears at fragile flesh. “I have never run from one.
“And I refuse to do so now.”

Whumptober Day 27 - Voiceless, “I have no mouth and I must scream”
I feel like I’ve been mean to Wind a lot heh, I feel bad for the little guy. It’s better than the three arrows I put in his chest in that other fic! ...Maybe, anyway.
Warnings: redeads
Ao3 link
————————————————————
Wind was not happy.
He struggled and kicked, tried to squirm out of the bruising hold on his arms, went limp and tried to just give the two soldiers dragging him along some underground passageway as worse of a time as possible. They’d already taken his weapons and only held him tighter as he struggled, but Wind kept it up anyway.
One of the Yiga grumbled in annoyance as Wind kicked at his legs, and he felt a glint of satisfaction.
“Rotten kid, that attitude will die plenty quick where you’re going,” the other Yiga snapped, ignoring Wind’s attempts to bite him. “This cell was for the hero, but what better way to lure him there than to dump his little brother in it first?”
“You built a cell underneath the outskirts of a village? Wow, that’s normal well-adjusted behavior,” Wind huffed, and one Yiga sneered.
“We merely adapted it for our purposes. And you’re the perfect person to test it out.”
Wind finally managed to clamp his jaws down on one of the soldier’s hands, and he yelled, gloves not thick enough to really protect him. The other one snatched at Wind and put a dagger to his throat before he could press his attack, and Wind reluctantly released the hand, getting the message.
“Link’ll never fall for your stupid trap anyway,” Wind said with a glare, and the Yiga both chuckled.
“Oh yes he will. Have fun, kid.”
A door was opened, and Wind was tossed through without any sort of fanfare, stumbling as he landed. He whirled back around to the door, but it was already closed and firmly locked.
Wind scowled at it, then turned to look around his prison, mind already turning towards thoughts of escape. Who did these Yiga guys think they were, kidnapping him off the street? He was the Hero of Winds! How had they even gotten the drop on him?
Wind scowled again and kicked at the floor of the cell. At least he’d been walking around with Four and Wild. Surely one of them would notice he was missing soon. And if not, well, Wind was pretty good at getting out of tight spots if he did say so himself.
No problem.
Wind put his hands on his hips, looking around the dark cell. There was a single tiny torch hung up on the wall, too high for Wind to reach that lit up the skinny space. A stone wall stood at the far end of the cell, but the two sides were open bars, darkness yawning beyond them.
It... kinda made his skin crawl.
Wind crossed his arms, feeling cold all of a sudden, but he shrugged it off with a huff. He needed to figure out how to get out of here, creepy darkness or not. The deep shadows beyond the bars suggested a bigger area, so if he could just find a loose one, he’d be set. Maybe he could even climb up and grab the torch.
Wind walked over to a side, starting at one end and giving each bar a solid shake. They seemed pretty firmly in the ground, but Wind worked his way across anyway, hoping for a loose one. He got all the way through without a single loose bar, and sighed, crossing to the other side to try there instead.
He’d gotten about halfway when he heard something, creaky and quiet.
Wind froze, listening, and the hair on the back of his neck went up as he heard it again. That noise was familiar. He couldn’t place it, but he knew it was familiar.
And that it was bad news.
A low moan came from somewhere in the darkness, and Wind slowly began to back away, nerves all alight. If he could just see he wouldn’t be nearly as nervous. Maybe the darkness was just freaking him out, and he was imagining noises because of that?
A bloodcurdling scream rang out, and Wind’s eyes went huge as a familiar sensation wracked through him, deathly cold and terrifying.
Oh no, he thought in a panic, his feet frozen to the floor, body unable to turn away from the shambling footsteps he could hear. Oh no oh no oh—
A face appeared in the flickering light of the torch, decaying and horrible, eyes glowing. A rotten hand stretched forward and wrapped around the bars, and Wind stared at the Redead, trapped in its unnatural terror.
It didn’t look like his version of them, taller, with a few ragged clothes on its lanky body, but the feeling it left him with was the same, sheer, unnatural terror.
I’ve got to get away, maybe by the door I’ll be far enough it won’t be able to—
A different scream rang out, sending another jolt through Wind’s chest, and he watched in horror as another redead grasped at the bars, reaching out to him, trying to pull him close. Beady eyes stared at him, glowing and malicious with hunger, and Wind might have whimpered if he could move his mouth.
He fought the paralysis as much as he could, but the moment it started to wear off, one of them screamed again, leaving Wind with no escape. More screams joined the first two, and Wind choked on his breath as a whole group of redeads shambled out of the darkness. Screams came near constantly from their lips as they grabbed at the bars and reached through, trying to get at him.
They can’t get through, they can’t get through they can’t hurt you, it’s just to scare you, Wind thought frantically, heart drumming in his chest. They don’t want you to escape that’s why they put them there you’re okay you’re okay you’re okay.
The screams just kept coming, endless and piercing and shooting Wind’s heart through with inescapable terror. He couldn’t even move to cover his ears, and he felt a terrified scream build in his own throat.
But it wouldn’t come out. Wind could only keep standing there, immobilized, tears trailing silently down his cheeks.
It felt like his heart was being encased in ice, frost shooting through his veins with every scream and grazing touch. More screams joined the agonizing chorus from behind him, and the terror felt like it would crush him, repeatedly crashing over him like a freezing wave.
Hands grabbed at him, nails grazing his skin. Wind couldn’t move, the torrential screams hammering at him, cracking him, filling him up with so much terror his mind couldn’t focus on anything else.
His world narrowed down to screams and beady eyes, Wind drowning in terror, eyes darting around wildly, mind screaming every time a hand grazed him.
If he could move he’d be curled up on the ground, but all he could do was stand here and sob in his mind as a deathly cold hand finally closed around his wrist.
Then a different noise rang out over the screams.
It was garbled in Wind’s ears, some sort of talking he couldn’t make out over the redeads’ shrieks. But suddenly music poured into the cell, cheery and bright, and the screaming stopped.
All of it.
Wind’s ears still rang with them, and the terror still pressed over him like a wet blanket, but there was finally silence, and the hand trying to drag Wind closer to the bars had stopped in its efforts, the redead’s mouth stuck open with its teeth bared.
Wind would’ve sobbed if he could move, and he heard footsteps and talking, his ears still ringing too much to make out. Strong arms pulled the hand off his wrist and cradled him to a chest, shouted something at the other sets of footsteps. The song trilled again, bright and warm, and though Wind still couldn’t do much as twitch his pinky, some of his panic eased as he felt a steady heartbeat against where his ear rested.
The others were here.
There must have been a trip out, but Wind missed most of it, still trapped in the lingering screams he could hear in his mind. Tears trickled steadily down his cheeks, and past the unnaturally sharp fear was a flicker of annoyance at crying so much.
But the terror mostly blotted it out.
Sunshine finally fell onto his face, warm and soft, and whoever was holding Wind lowered themselves to a knee. A face looked down at him, and Wind saw Twilight, eyes fearful.
“Hey Wind, you alright?” he asked, and Wind could only stare at him, heart pounding, terror still clenching like a talon around him. “Wind?”
“Is he okay?” someone else asked, and Twilight leaned back, Time and Wild’s faces both coming into view next.
“He’s not responding,” Twilight replied, and Time leaned in, studying Wind’s face with a worried look.
“Wind, can you hear me?” Time asked, setting a hand on his chest.
I can hear you fine, I just can’t move! Wind wanted to scream, but his mouth was still frozen shut. The only thing that he was still able to do was cry, apparently.
Time gently wiped his tears away, and if Wind wasn’t still so terrified, he was sure he’d be embarrassed. “Do we know how long he was down there?”
“An hour, hour and a half? No more than two based on when we started looking,” a voice Wind placed as Wild added anxiously. Oh good, he avoided the trap. “Is that bad?”
“It’s a long time to be around an attacking redead, no less dozens of them like he was,” Time replied, gently tilting Wind’s head around as he looked at it. “Usually the song fixes things, I have no idea why he’s still frozen like this.”
“Prolonged exposure I’d guess,” Four’s voice added, and Twilight’s hand combed gently through his hair. “It might just take him longer to break out of it. He’s so cold...”
“I still can’t believe we lost sight of him like that,” Wild said quietly, and a different hand touched his shoulder. “I’m sorry, Wind.”
Oh Wild, it’s not your fault, Wind thought, trying to look the champion in the eye and convey the sentiment. I’d tell you so if I could.
Some more footsteps pounded against the grass suddenly, and the amount of voices around Wind doubled, more faces leaning over to look at him, worried questions floating over his head. The other Links had obviously joined the group, and Wind struggled even harder against the paralysis making him nothing but deadweight. But he remained as frozen as ever, a scream still stuck in his throat, ice around his heart.
“Give him space, I’m pretty sure he’s aware of what’s going on and you all are crowding him,” Warriors’ voice chided, and the majority of heads pulled back from his view. The captain’s face appeared in his line of sight, full of worry. “Wind? Can you move anything? Even just something small?”
Wind started at his feet and worked his way upward this time, trying to move anything he could. Fear still thrummed through him, his body on high alert, tears tracking down his cheeks, but he finally managed to twitch his eyelids a little.
“Hey, there we go,” Warriors said with relief in his eyes. “Can you do it again?”
Wind focused, managing another twitch, and almost did a full blink when he tried again. Warriors’ face was still worried, but he looked encouraged by even the tiny movement.
“Here, let me see if this helps some more,” Time said then, and Twilight shifted Wind around in his arms so his head was a little more upright.
Time pulled out his ocarina, purplish blue in the sunshine, and he played the trilling song again, the one Wind finally recognized as the song of passing. Time played it through a couple times, magic falling over Wind like a beam of sunlight. He was surprised the time of day itself didn’t change, but maybe Time was stopping it from doing that somehow.
Suddenly the magic loosened something inside him, the icy terror cracking, thawing a little. Some feeling swept back into his body, and the scream that had been stuck in Wind’s throat this whole time suddenly burst out, loud and terrified.
Time immediately stopped playing, and Wind began to tremble as feeling slowly spread to the rest of him, his scream ending in a hiccup. It felt amazing to finally give voice to the horrible coldness in him, and Wind barely noticed when a thumb brushed along his cheek.
“Wind?” Time asked quietly, and Wind breathed in a shaking breath, firmly blinking tears out of his eyes.
“Th-thank, tha-ank y-you,” he managed get out in a miserable-sounding whimper.
Sighs of relief went up around him, and Time gave Wind a smile, even with the way Wind was shaking and still unable to stop the tears from escaping his eyes.
“You’re welcome Sailor,” Time replied, and brushed a few more of his tears away.
Wind managed a shaky smile back, then relaxed into Twilight’s arms, more and more of the ice in his chest melting away into bright sunshine.

Bunny ear Legend propaganda
Fanfic prompt : from the canon series we have to say that hylians can’t move their ears much nor are they particularly large either
But wouldn’t it be funny if Legend because of the rabbit curse was actually able to move his ears like one
And they are LOOOONG
Which looks unusual for a hylian but could theoretically be explained as a genetic mutation
But also very much intrigued by how they move
But also failing at being inconspicuous about it (other people are even less so )
Only Ravio can touch them

what if i just want the chain to adopt me instead. What then.
Oh, that’s adorable, and honestly, the Chain would probably go wild with overprotective, dad energy.
You want the Chain to adopt you? Say no more they’re already on it.
Time’s the honorary dad, no questions asked. Time is suddenly 1000% more invested in everything you do, from making sure you’re eating properly to teaching you practical survival skills.
You’ll never get cold in winter again because he’s always sneaking in extra blankets or jackets wherever you’re staying.
He’ll teach you all kinds of self defense techniques, (even if he secretly hopes you’ll never need them.) And every time he leaves for a fight, he gives you a nod that says, ‘Stay safe.’ And maybe a ruffle of the hair too, if he’s feeling soft.
Twilight’s the big brother/father figure you never knew you needed.
He’s in full Dad mode from the get go, making sure you’re comfortable and always within sight. Someone looks at you the wrong way? Twilight’s giving them the death glare.
He’d take you out for horseback rides, teach you about animals, and make sure you can handle yourself in the wilderness. He’s the type to make you a meal with a quiet “Eat up,” before leaning back and watching to make sure you’re getting enough.
With Sky? Prepare for smothering. Sky is constantly checking in, asking if you need anything or if you’re happy.
He’s the warm, doting older brother who treats you like a precious bean who needs constant protection. You want Loftwing rides? Done. Need a shoulder to lean on? He’s already there.
He’ll tell you stories of the sky and legends of heroes, all while making sure you feel loved and looked after. And he’ll probably teach you how to use the Sailcloth too, just in case you ever need it.
Wind’s the fun older brother who’s overjoyed to have a younger sibling. He’ll teach you every trick he knows, from dodging monsters to sneaking extra snacks. He’d love nothing more than to take you out on the seas, showing you the ropes and telling tales of pirates.
He’ll make sure you know how to swing a sword, just in case, of course. And he’d fiercely defend you if anything even remotely threatening came your way.
Wild would immediately start making sure you’re well fed, always handing you extra portions or snacks he’s made. He’ll go all-out teaching you the best ways to cook over a fire, how to navigate by stars, and how to live off the land.
You’d be his priority now, and he’s quietly protective. If anything or anyone hurts you, they’ll find Wild’s calm expression fading into something far more menacing. He’ll go from “wholesome forest brother” to feral forest dad in seconds flat.
Legend would try to play it cool, acting like it’s no big deal that he suddenly cares about you. But underneath his gruff exterior, he’s very protective.
He’ll make sure you know how to handle yourself in a fight and keep a good weapon on you at all times. And he’d give you little trinkets, enchanted rings, and amulets ‘for protection.’ He won’t admit how much he cares, but if someone so much as messes with you, they’re done.
Four would become your unofficial, super-caring big brother. He’d split into his colors sometimes just to entertain you (and play scary big brothers if someone bothers you) , creating little puppet shows or crafting tiny trinkets for you to wear.
He’d be protective but in a quieter way, always watching out for you and making sure you’re safe. He’ll share tales of adventure and give you all kinds of tools and advice to make sure you can handle yourself. And if anything dares to hurt you, he’s not above going full Four Swords on them.
Hyrule would be like an adventurous older sibling, always ready to take you on some magical journey. (Said magical journeys are just wandering the forests and inevitably getting lost.)
He’d teach you all kinds of survival techniques, but he’s also likely to enchant a few items ( just for you, so you’re extra protected.
He’s protective but gentle, always worried about your safety, and he’d go to any length to keep you from harm. If something ever goes wrong, he’ll unleash every spell and potion in his arsenal to make it right.
Warriors would become your bodyguard/big brother figure (or uncle), always looking out for you and making sure you’re comfortable and safe.
He’d teach you combat techniques and make sure you could handle yourself in a fight, but he’d also keep a close eye on anyone who dared to come too close. They’d better have the best of intentions, or they’ll have to answer to him. He’s fiercely protective, and if anyone dares to mess with you, they’re going to regret it.
All together? Overprotective squad goals. You’d never have to worry about being unsafe or unprotected ever again. They’d each take their turns watching over you, making sure you’re eating enough, learning self defense (let’s face it, they’d all chip on and teach you) , and always having someone nearby if you needed it. It’s basically having nine versions of the most protective older brother/father figure you can imagine.
And gods help anyone who dares to so much as annoy you, because the Chain doesn’t take kindly to anyone hurting their little family member.

Legend's got bunny traits that show up in his Hylian form

Summary:
Legend's hair is doing a weird thing. Turns out, he's not the only one, but man does it freak Wars out! Which is sort of funny actually, or at least entertaining when you're a hero with nothing to do >:)
