Maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather Ripstop

Reebok and London-based streetwear label Maharishi announced their third collaborative project, the Maharishi x Reebok Classic Leather “Ripstop” ($150, HP3241), available December 16 exclusively from Maharishi before its wider global release on December 23 from Reebok.com and select retailers.

Founded in 1994, London’s Maharishi is defined by its ‘pacifist military design’ aesthetic and a strong respect for nature and utilitarian offerings. With a parallel respect for U.K. heritage, human movement, and functional design, Reebok’s rich archive is championed by Classic Leather – the iconic ‘80s runner - that finds itself at the center of this enduring collaboration.

“In England, Classic Leather is known as the OG Reebok shoe and has strong connections within many youth subcultures,” commented Maharishi founder Hardy Blechman.

Utilizing material selection to showcase its defining military-style design language, Maharishi has created a stealthy take on Classic Leather via a military-spec ripstop upper that protects the shoe and its wearer from the elements. In addition, reflective accents alongside Maharishi branding further explore the brand’s ethos:

“Throughout the design process we looked at duality, a concept that is deeply embedded in the Maharishi ethos,” continued Blechman. “Maharishi has always sought to draw out the hidden commonalities of seemingly opposing forces. We’ve translated this idea onto Classic Leather by juxtaposing the matte ripstop with reflective 3M beading around the heel, tongue, and laces.”

Product imagery captured by London-based photographer Stanley (@stanley_everest) fosters a sense of movement through long-exposure photography of shadow-engulfed subjects contrasted by illuminating trails of light. In particular, product imagery pays homage to the works of futurist Umberto Boccioni and the concept of frozen movement and fluidity in sculptures.

“Game of Thrones” Season VII: Episode 6 - The Enthralling Power of Complete Idiocy

WARNING: SPOILERS for the latest episode below, so if you haven’t seen it and don’t know yet who dies, who fucks who, and how much of a fucking shitshow it was, turn back now. Also Ballers is coming back. Does anybody watch that?

BEYOND THE WALL

So in case you forgot, the Avengers are still trying to carry out this worst plan ever to bag a wight and show it to Cersei, even though she has never displayed any capability for rational thought. Also Tormund wants to fuck Gendry?

Basically the whole first half of this beyond the wall shit is like speed dating between the weirdest pairs of people. Like, first we have Gendry and The Dude, and Gendry’s just like -

But the Dude is all -

Then it’s J-Snow and Jorah, and like for some reason J-Snow chooses this moment - you know, the one where they’re about to stumble upon an entire zombie army - to be like, “Yo dude, my sword is your dad’s. You should have it.”

Jorah doesn’t take it though, which is good because they’re about to fight zombies. Also in this scene, there are a bunch of Redshirts, which I know, is like totally not a Game of Thrones thing, but there they are anyway.

WINTERFELL

Ladies and gentlemen, meet the newest staff writer at Game of Thrones, who penned all the scenes in Winterfell this week.

Because Arya, who went from -

And Sansa’s making like everybody who spent last week on Facebook trying to explain to people why gee I dunno WHITE SUPREMACISTS ARE WRONG, just like -

More snow. More speed dating. This time with the Hound and Tormund, who’s like -

Then, the Hound uses the word “Dick”

And Tormund has, like, never heard it, he’s so used to using the word “cock” or something, and then D&D literally write this exchange.

Tormund: Dick? I like it. The Hound: I bet you do. Tormund: Nope. It’s pussy for me.

Finally, they come to the arrowhead mountain the Hound saw in the flames.

And The Dude is like, “Are you sure?” And I’m kinda like, “Wait a minute. Aren’t you the guy who’s supposed to know about the flames? Why is the Hound suddenly so wise to it all?”

DRAGONSTONE

P-Dinky (remember him? He used to be a character) is having a fireside chat with D-Baby. He’s basically trying to put Varys’ advice into effect.

But D-Baby just gets real paranoid.

It doesn’t go well.

BEYOND THE WALL

Meanwhile, the Avengers stumble into this total whiteout storm, and they see some like weird animal thing in the distance. It kinda looks like a polar bear until we just see it’s got the zombie eyes. And Gendry’s like, “Do bears have blue eyes?”

Anyway, the bear comes charging at all the Avengers and we’re like, “Oh my God, this is it! One of them is gonna fucking die right now!” But then it just like mauls a redshirt.

Naturally all the Avengers are freaked out. So they literally do this -

And then it’s just like BEAR ATTACK OH MY GOD IT TOTALLY GOT ONE OF OUR BOYS oh wait no it’s just another redshirt.

And then it’s just on. The Dude and Beric turn on their fire swords like -

And down goes somebody else WAS IT THE HOUND nope, redshirt. Finally, it does just fucking maul The Dude though like -

And you really just think it’s gonna go on forever until Jorah stabs it with like the tiniest knife and it... dies...? 

The Dude is fucked up, but instead of being like -

He’s like -

But he’s still alive, because he’s not a redshirt.

WINTERFELL

Sansa’s panicking like -

Until Littlefinger seems to say, “You should have Brienne kill her.” And Sansa seems weirdly chill with it, until she sends Brienne in her stead to King’s Landing immediately after.

BEYOND THE WALL

The Dude is walking again, because there are no consequences to anything anymore, not even getting mauled by a bear. So now’s as good a time as any for the Avengers to run into the zombies. But like just a few. Who are marching around like -

So naturally because they’re crazy, the Avengers just fucking attack. And Jorah’s getting choked, and Gendry’s like “Bang bang Maxwell’s Silver Hammer” until J-Snow is just like -

And this is the part where we learn that when you kill a White Walker, all the zombies that got turned by that dude just like shut down.

But for some reason there was like a rogue zombie chilling with this group? 

Like he got lost or maybe one of his best zombie friends got turned by this White Walker and he wanted to hang out with him? I dunno, but like - they need a zombie and he’s here.

And they’re trying to restrain it but it’s basically just being all -

Until they just cover its mouth and put a bag over its head. Like, I guess that works. But it doesn’t solve the problem of the giant AVALANCHE that’s coming! And then J-Snow tells Gendry to run back to Eastwatch to send a raven to Daenerys. And Gendry’s like, ‘I’m not going!” But J-Snow is like, “You’re the fastest.”

And then. The Avengers. Book it. Right into this like frozen lake arena which is just BEGGING to be the locale for a crazy action setpiece. And they’re like running over the ice, and the zombies are just like surrounding them. And meanwhile, J-Snow is running pretty fast. Like, I don’t know if Gendry can top this speed.

Oh, yeah, also another Redshirt dies. Like, so many Redshirts die that I’m running out of Redshirt GIFs. Luckily this Redshirt’s death triggers ALL the ice around the Avengers to break so the zombies can’t get to them.

Meanwhile, Gendry is RUNNING!

Like, he packed his Reeboks. 

Or like some time has passed. Who knows. It’s morning now and the zombies are just chilling waiting for the lake to freeze again. And the Avengers are in the middle like -

Honestly, there’s a moment where it kinda looks like the Hound was snuggling with J-Snow. But if he was feeling warm and fuzzy, that all goes away when he kicks the zombie they’ve captured and it makes all the other zombies go -

Also, there are SO MANY zombies surrounding them. Like there’s the main level and then there’s literally a mezzanine. Oh yeah, also The Dude is dead. So naturally Beric Dondarrion is like -

Except like, “I’m gonna burn your body, Jack. I’m gonna burn your body.” Anyway, things are looking pretty dire at this moment, and J-Snow is like, “Daenerys is our only chance.” To which Beric replies -

And he doesn’t mean Princess Leia either. He’s talking about killing the Night King, who I’m gonna start calling the Night Queen just because. So Her Majesty is perched on a mountain nearby just like -

While somebody is banging on a piano all -

DRAGONSTONE

D-Baby is once again not listening to P-Dinky, except this time she’s wearing a very fashion-forward white coat-dress-thing. 

BEYOND THE WALL

Speaking of not making good decisions, the Hound is stir-crazy and throwing rocks at the zombies. Which is all fun and games until the zombies realize that the lake is frozen and they can fucking attack. But instead of running they all kinda runway walk toward the Avengers like -

Which is good, because it means the Avengers can pick them off one by one. Which is what they do. Also, there’s a sick violin thing happening under this part. It’s actually going pretty well. Like, they only lose one more redshirt.

I’M OUT OF REDSHIRT GIFS.

Anyway, soon it gets out of hand and the zombies are swarming, at which point J-Snow yells, “FALL BACK!” And I’m kinda just like -

Also strike that. Two more redshirts. Anyway, it gets all too much and slow-mo and everyone seems like they’re gonna die, it’s very -

But then, of course, the dragons are here, and D-Baby is just wiping out zombies like -

And she starts loading everyone onto Drogon like he’s a fucking taxicab.

And it really seems like everyone’s gonna make it out alive, until The Night Queen is just like, “Bring me my fucking javelin.” And lemme tell you, that little amulet thing she’s wearing around her neck MUST be a gold medal from her track and field days because she’s just like -

and D-Baby’s crying and like fuck I’M CRYING and there’s just blood gushing everywhere like -

And the dragon’s all-

But there is NO time to be sad, because the Queen is loading another fucking javelin and J-Snow’s just like “GO!” Until he gets mauled and falls into the water. And D-Baby’s like, “I want that D but I don’t want my dragon to die!” So off she goes.

Guys. This episode still isn’t fucking over. Because the camera lingers on J-Snow’s sword and I totally thought it was just gonna cut to black, but he climbs out of the water.

And it totally seems like the zombies are gonna fuck him up, when suddenly somebody rides in on a horse waving a fire ball. And I’m literally just like, “At this point, it can be only one person.”

Beyonce.

It’s not. It’s Benjen, who gives J-Snow his horse and then goes to the zombies like -

Phew. Sansa is sneaking around in Arya’s room when she finds her sister’s stash of creepy face masks, because apparently Arya just keeps that under her bed. Also the one face def looks like a Trump mask.

Anyway, Arya’s acting like a total creep being like, “These are my faces. I went to drama school and now -”

It’s too goddamn much.

DAENERYS’ SHIP

Forgive me, but it did feel like there was legit sexual tension between J-Snow and D-Baby in this scene. So much so that J-Snow calls her “Dany.”

If we remember, that’s what her rapey creep brother used to call her, so you know - par for the course for weird incest relationship we’re all actively rooting for. 

BEYOND THE WALL

The White Walker somehow got a bunch of chains (we’re really just pulling shit out of our asses now) and are heaving like -

And out comes the dragon. And the Night Queen just struts toward it like -

Like truly. She takes her time. And she lays her hand on the dragon like -

And sure enough, we linger on the dragon’s eye.

And we linger.

SER POUNCE’S STRAY THOUGHTS

If somebody mentions bending the knee one more time, my head will explode.

This episode just really felt like Thrones going completely off the rails on every level. They have no time to make sense of all the plot developments that are happening, so we’re just getting random events trotted out that feel artificial. There is a world where Arya becoming a mistrusting vengeful person makes sense, but the jump was so drastic. It felt like Arya became an entirely different character overnight.

In all the chaos, I totally forgot that Cleganebowl could totally still be on.

The Daenerys scene is once more setting up the inevitable splitting of Tyrion and her. I think this has been handled pretty well, although what do we think about Tyrion making so many poor decisions? Back in Season 2, he was so slick with every plan and now he’s made several (including the one about trying to meet with Cersei) that seem unfounded in any logic, particularly when he’s the most logical of the characters.

D&D have pointed out in interviews the circle-like patterns the White Walkers make throughout the series. The overhead shot of the Avengers standoff with the polar bear = a continuation of this circle motif.

“I just got bit by a dead bear.” Same, dude. Same.

Sansa says, “Jon is not here. I haven’t heard from him in weeks.” That seems like a dick move, Jon.

“You’re faster without the hammer,” says Tormund. As if he’s seen him run both with and without the hammer. Did I miss an episode where Gendry is like an incredible long distance runner?

Confused as to why Sansa is being summoned to King’s Landing. Isn’t this just about presenting the wight to Cersei? What does Sansa have to do with this?

Regarding Pod, “He has become a competent swordsman.” False.

All this said, it does seem like Sansa has a trick up her sleeve. 

I’m also confused about killing the wights. I thought they had to burn to die, but it seemed like sword wounds and shit did them in this week. Can anyone confirm?

The dragon death did hit me, but do we know which dragon it was? The Internet says Viserion, but D&D don’t seem to even know in their after-episode interview. They just keep calling it “the dragon.”

The javelin thing was ridiculous. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it.

Yes, the Arya scene was crazy. But her offering the knife to Sansa - that’s gotta mean something, yeah?

Where’s Bran? Where’s Theon? Where’s Euron? Where’s Grey Worm? WTF is going to happen next week?

What is the show trying to make us feel with this Daenerys-Jon Snow love story? She’s his aunt, and we know this, but we want it (hell, I even want it). I feel like it’d be interesting to subvert our rooting for this, since we are always grossed out by Jaime and Cersei. Or maybe I’m looking for nuance where there isn’t any. It feels weird regardless.

So it seems like the dragon will help them bring down the Wall next episode. If that’s true, I wonder how it would be if we didn’t see its resurrection.

What did you guys think of this episode? As you can tell from the title, I was enthralled while watching it, but looking back feel like nothing that happened makes any sense at all. The Game of Thrones world has always been one subverting conventional fantasy tropes, i.e. the heroes cornered by the zombies in the middle of a frozen lake don’t heroically escape, they die. And as for that javelin, it exists solely because D&D needed the Night King to take down a dragon. 

Basically if you watched the first episode of Game of Thrones and then you watched this one, you’d think you were watching two completely different shows.

NEXT WEEK: Barack is back, Sansa makes some sort of decision, and literally every major character meets in King’s Landing.

On 14Oct, Sen, Cherry and I interviewed some people with style in Central London. The criteria of is that they must vary in gender, age, race and nationality.

We drafted six different questions, which is listed as following:

A: My mom has inspired me. Her style has def inspired me. Sneaker culture/brands, like Nike and Reebok, have a huge impact.

After transcribed the files, we started to do some research on their style, including the inspiration of their style and the background, history and culture behind it, and how such culture have influenced the current fashion trend.

Following is some of the research results:

1. For the first person LT, his style is mainly based on 1920s’ men’s fashion. Cultural background: Roaring Twenties, some people say “It is the most colorful decade in the history.”

Suits neutral color with pattern, but the accessories popped with vibrant colors. For example, tie and socks. and also the wide suit pants are significant in 20s’ men’s fashion.Unlike today’s two piece suits, men’s 1920s fashion required a three piece suit with matching vest. Newsboy hat is one of the classic hats of 1920s as well.1920s men’s fashion was the start of menswear as we know it today.  

Only little changes in menswear have come about since the 1920s. The essential part of a 1920s man’s wardrobe was his suit. For day, evening, office, or parties, a man always wore a suit. The only exceptions were for blue collar workers, sport players or young teen and college men who dressed more casually. But, even they owned suits and wore them with pride. 

What sets 1920s men’s suits apart from other decades are the material and fit. The other fun bit of color on a 1920s men’s outfit was the neckwear. Men either wore a bow tie in fun stripes or polka dots, a striped or plaid necktie or a neck scarf tie. And the most iconic shoe of the 1920s is the two tone lace up Oxford.  

LT also mentioned that his mother’s dressing aesthetics has influenced him. Jamaica color: As can be seem, Jamaican traditional clothes have always played with color. LT had grown up in his mother’s sense of color playing, so the color matching is his philosophy of dressing himself.

2. For the second person Jiwen, all of this inspiration of style came from streetwear culture. Streetwear has become an indispensable part of the current fashion industry. Countless of people, especially the younger generation, nowadays are influenced by streetwear culture, dressed up in sneakers and streetwear brands

In addition to that, even fashion iconic brands, such as Balenciaga and Off-White, have borrowed elements from streetwear and incorporated their own idea on the pieces. “When you take a look at the most popular brands right now, especially those that blur the lines between high-fashion and streetwear, it’s important to note that their creators have been heavily influenced by earlier forms of street culture.”

Here are some the earliest labels/founding people of streetwear:

(1) Shawn Stüssy

He created one of the earliest labels in the 80s that catered to the subcultures of surfing, skate and punk.

“Based in California, Stüssy started out as an innovative surfboard company, which then became a clothing line featuring its logos in different designs and colorful motifs.”

He can be looked at as the person who was able to transcend streetwear across cultures and continents — he started Bape in 1993 in Japan’s Urahara neighborhood, which is considered to be the birthplace of Japanese streetwear. 

There is also a close link between streetwear fashion and hip hop culture. Many of the influential rappers, such as Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, Dipset … “During the 2000s many of hip-hop’s most high-profile artists such as Lil Wayne, Pharrell Williams, and Kanye West adopted the brand’s flamboyant fashions. Soon after, young style-minded consumers also wanted to dress like their favorite rappers, donning the brand’s signature shark hoodies, purple camouflage tees and multicoloured Bapesta sneakers.”

3. For the third person Mark, as a businessman, his style can be classified as British gentleman style, which featuring suits, shirts, scarves, pants, leather shoes, neck tie, etc. The suits should be absolutely fit and pants length till ankle. then slightly show the popped color of socks. Neck ties have always been the key item of British gentlemen style. Also, Mark had made the point of the importance of choosing shoes.

Working culture: when first got to London, it is easy to tell the special working culture which is different from other countries. Of course people go to work in suits. But people in London put their personality into suit unlike other countries. British office style are good at using colorful accessories to make their suits playful and interesting. And another important part of British working culture is social activities after work. Dinner with friends, drinking by standing outside of bar are common in this town. By the mood has changed, those hard working men switch their accessories to change mood.

It is still a standard norm for men to wear suits and ties to places such as official events, weddings, some job interviews, etc. It’s no exaggeration to say that styled suits are a big part of the fashion world, and definitely one of the oldest form of fashion style to date. 

“At the beginning of the 19th century, men’s style in England was basically a costumey nightmare: Well-heeled gents wore coats with tails, silk stockings, knee breeches, and worst of all, powdered wigs. But then Beau Brummell whole lot of fuss, thank Beau Brummell. Brummell was a mover and shaker in early 1800s English court life, and definitely the man who changed the menswear game forever by came along and basically invented the suit we’re all still wearing today.”  

“If you appreciate the way a suit consists of two simple pieces that help you get dressed without a rejecting the popular frock coats and powdered wigs of the time in favor of simple jackets and full-length trousers—which would eventually become the suits we know today.”.

Suit Style for men played a huge role in the western movie and entertainment industry in the U.S. and the UK. 

For example: 

Charlie Chaplin: “America’s first movie star wore an exaggerated version of the everyday suits of the time, namely a skin-tight sportcoat and ballooning pants.” Elvis Presley.

And American iconic singer and performer who rocked the stage and was a cult figure for many followers worldwide.  

And nowadays, the list of people who wear suits and blazers also includes women, not to mention that suits also have an impact on recent fashion culture, an example is fashion runway.

4. For the fourth person Hannah, a large part of her dressing inspiration is from her Muslim culture, and hijab plays an important role in her daily style.

“Islam, like most other religions, regulates the behavior of its believers. Like other faiths, its legal code lays down rules regarding the related fields of clothing and sexuality. One goal of these strictures is to prevent the exposure and highlighting of certain parts of the body. Especially those of women.” 

“Many modern, non-religious Westerners see Muslim dress as a salient example of the repression of women and denial of their rights.” Alma quotes, ‘Many of these people think that if a women is covered up, it means that she is being oppressed.’ But in reality, “the hijab remains an outward expression of a complex reality”. As it is a rather contentious subject, one theory claims that “the hijab is an empowering display of identity,” there are also people who “reject the hijab and vie it as a means of oppression”…

5. For the last person Zahra, her style is mainly based on sports. It signifies comfort and flexibility and is something that you can easily spot on the street, especially on the generation of young people. 

T-shirts, hoodies, Sneakers, caps, bomb jackets, leggings are popular sporty items. People use them to do some mix and match with other fashion items like coats, skirts and even highheels.

A NEW TREND: Athleisure

It is a trend in fashion in which clothing designed for workouts and other athletic activities is worn in other settings, such as at the workplace, at school, or at other casual or social occasions. Athleisure outfits are yoga pants, tights and leggings that "look like athletic wear" and are characterized as "fashionable, dressed up sweats and exercise clothing". The idea is that gym clothes are supposedly making their way out of the gym and becoming a larger part of people's everyday wardrobes. It can be considered as a fashion industry movement, enabled by improved textile materials, which allow sportswear to be more versatile, comfortable, and fashionable. It has been identified as being sporty and stylish.

But technically speaking, the sporty style is originated in the U.S.

With the rising fame of sports associations like NBA and NFL, more and more fans started to appreciate sportswear. And some iconic sportswear brands have also shaped today’s fashion world, like Nike and Adidas.

And after finishing the research part, we started to make the powerpoint. We managed to do it in a creative way, in which we created a playlist in Spotify named “street style 2017″, to showcase each one’s style. So we selected songs according to their style and their cultural background, and used photoshop to design the playlist’s interface, which is similar to the spotify APP. 

And I also adjusted the pictures by photoshop, so as to make the image of each person clear. Also, I made a play interface for each person ( but at last it is not showed in slides though)

On the day of presentation, we first play the music we choose for the person, which lasted for about 15 seconds. Then we introduce the person’s style and our research on his/her style cultural background, and the connection with the current fashion world. Fortunately, we presented well on Tuesday and achieved a success.

Also, we have received many constructive advices from our audience, which can be listed as following:

1. We can add some interaction with the audience. For example, we can play the music first, then let the audience guess what kind of fashion style the person represent. This will increase the participation enthusiasm of the others.

2. And while introducing the style and the background of it, we can ask the perspective of the audience. 

3. We can also brief the process of our interview, for example, what have we overcome, what did we try, what didn’t work, and how we approached people, etc.

4. Except people’s name, age and occupation, we can add a question of where they come from, which is also an important element for research and analysis.

Besides, we also have learnt a lot from other groups’ presentation. And some feedbacks they received can also apply to our future presentation and research:

1. Try to be more creative and use for media forms to show your work and research process. ie. the moodboard is a good way to display your ideas. But when present, we shoult invite the audience to come around and interact with them. 

2. When you present, you should consider visually, for example, the way of shooting, how to show the details of the items, the layout of the slides, etc.

3. References are very important because it shows what comes from where. And your own evaluation of your research is very important.

4. The moving image (video) is also a fresh way to be included in presentation. But the framing and timing should be paid attention to.

In conclusion, I have learnt so much in our first self-directed assignment. Apart from what I listed above, I also know further about my two excellent groupmates: Sen and Cheery. They are so helpful and considerate. We three as a group, each have their strength. For example, Sen is good at research and brainstorming, so I have learnt from her about how to make the mindmap to improve my divergent thinking and critical thinking skills. I have a command of simple graphic design and photoshop, so I was responsible for the image making and transferred our common ideas into visual images. And Cherry is very patient, considerate, good at making powerpoint and lay out thing, so she adjust the slides at last, so that we can show our idea and research through ppt clearly. In addition, both of them are good at communicating with people, which I have little confidence in. So I have learnt from them how to approach people with confidence and express ourselves clearly when doing the interview. I think I need to practice more with my spoken English and social skills.

Last but not the least, I have realized again the importance of teamwork through the whole process of brainstorming, discussing, generating the idea, drafting the question, sharing out the work, and even sharing dinner together in China, etc. I’d like to say I really like and am truly grateful to my groupmates! They have helped me a lot indeed! I hope we three can collaborate again in the future.

Friday Favourites: Summer Staples

It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these but I actually love making a point of noticing things I love each week, so I’m bringing it back!

Here are some of my favourite things that I’ve really come to love this summer. I have found myself using them on almost a daily basis and often wonder how I survived without them!

Serengeti Sunglasses

I was invited to an event and was allowed to choose a pair of Serengeti sunglasses. I chose the Valentina pair and couldn’t be more in love.  Their lenses are photochromic and adapt according to the light around you. I’ve never owned a nice pair of sunglasses unless you count my $8 pair from Old Navy. My eyes are really sensitive and I truly didn’t realize how much a great pair of sunglasses could help. I wear these constantly now–even when it’s cloudy. You’ve probably seen me in them in a lot of pictures already! My eyes are significantly less sore than they were last summer which means I am significantly happier! Invest in your eyes, guys, and get a decent pair of sunglasses!

(I was not asked to write about them in exchange for the glasses. I just truly love them!)

Beautycounter Sun Stick

This little sun stick is my fave! It’s so cute and totally convenient plus it also smells so darn good that I want to eat it (but I resist. Promise!). I think my favourite thing about this stick is that I don’t have to get anything on my hands to apply it. No sticky mess left over or sunscreen stuck in my hair etc. Total win!

These Reebok shorts

I already wrote an entire post about how much I love these shorts but seriously, it needs to be mentioned one more time! They’re just so comfy I’ve found myself wearing them constantly all summer. I have two pairs but still panic if they both happen to be dirty at the same time because I possibly wear them at least 4-5 times a week. (Fashion is obviously not my strong skill set.) Now if I could just get Reebok to send me a few more pairs before they disappear from their collection forever, I wouldn’t have to do laundry so often!

The Lululemon Run All Day Backpack

I borrowed this backpack from my friend, Lisa, last September and wore it for a 13km run. I had never run with a backpack on, but I was really impressed.

I thought about it for months and months and right before our trip to Turkey, Prague and Jordan I saw that it was on sale. I went and picked one up and don’t regret it for a minute! I used this bag so much on our trip. I stuffed it with snacks we took from the hotel in Petra (hello, continental breakfast!), extra clothes, phone chargers, etc. It is comfortable to wear for long periods of time and even was neutral enough for my husband to wear without feeling awkward!

Since the trip, I’ve used this bag for countless runs. If I don’t have much in the bag I can adjust all the straps to synch the bag into a smaller size. If I want to carry extra shoes and a change of outfit, there’s room for that as well.

This is not a hydration backpack (as in it doesn’t come with a bladder), but if you buy a separate bladder you can easily put it into the bag and use it like that.
