Part of Padmé was grateful that senators greeting returning troops and their generals was a common practice, because it meant that she didn't draw unwanted attention when she met Anakin at the landing platforms of the Senate building when he came home.

She of course couldn't go straight to him, no matter how she wanted to.

So Padmé exchanged pleasantries with the clones and Obi-Wan before finally coming to her husband.

"Welcome home, General Skywalker."

Smiling as she felt his lips ghost over the scar left behind by the Dark Saber, the light tickling sensation of his beard against her skin was not entirely unpleasant, gently she ran her fingers through her love's hair.

She hated how the scar marred her skin, it wasn't pretty but it was a reminder of all she had survived.

"Hm. What did I do to deserve such sweet treatment?"

Not that Jedi were, you know, supposed to get angry. You know, 'There is no emotion, something something'. Some mantra that anyone who spent five minutes around them realised was a load of poodoo.

"I don't need to steal it, anyway," I have one of my own, "he drops the damn thing so often he'll lose it that way first. He should have a string or something tying it to his wrist."

She pauses, turns her glass on the table as another thought occurs, makes a smirk begin to tug at her lips, "Robes, on the other hand ..."

Xenia had insisted she wasn't tired many times actually. She was fine she didn't need to rest she could keep going. Still it was glaringly obvious that she was far from fine she was exhausted and stretching herself thin. Her eyes began to droop as she held back yawns. There was just so much to do so many people to help. She keeps saying she's fine so she can do more so she can be more places.

When he finally all but drags her to bed she protests the whole way between yawns. Still she lets him take her to bed. She gets into the bed and rests her head on the pillow. "Just.... just for a little while. A nap that's all wake me when a half hour has passed." She mumbles before her eyes close. She doubts he will wake her up when she wants he'll probably actually make her sleep a while. Still, the bed is so comfortable and she lets the warmth of it envelop her. Maybe she could use a bit of sleep.

It’s something she’s never really considered or done before, but she’s not opposed to it with the right people. If she found say twins who aren’t bothered about sharing and she liked them both, so long as they all agree to it she’d probably go for it.

The question of why was simple to answer, but as to the reasons to which it would be admitted to it easily to Kenobi, was another matter entirely. Slick knew fully well that reinforcements in any situation were a last ditch effort for survival. A survival effort that would be worth nothing if the one's on the ground couldn't handle themselves.

However, Slick knew a bit of both of the sides in this situation. No one would show up for quite some time and even if they did show up sooner? Slick doubted it would change matters. It was, after-all, a toss up no matter the situation these days.

"Because given the schematics of this place," he says, "I know how long it will take to get here given the entrances." A rough estimate, but that was besides the point.

"Suffice to say, we're on our own for the moment. You can be the judge of if that's a good thing or not."

"Papa!" jumping up, Allea ran over to give her father a hug. Sometimes her father had to leave Ossus at a moments notice, sometimes he even brought back new students to train at the temple.

But Allea did miss him terribly whenever her father was away.

"Did you bring new students?"

"Really?" Ink said. So she doesn't have to do anything and just watch the views. "Alright! That sounds awesome, Skywalker-sensei!" Ink smiles. When the other told him about a person of interest that has wings.

Hawks.

"A bird?" Ink asked. Where did she heard that name before?

"You don't have to do anything. Just watch the beautiful views while I fly the plane."

He would never trust a novice to pilot. This is dangerous and irresponsible. Anakin loved to fly by himself. Perhaps one day he will teach her to fly, but not now.

“I don’t know, I don’t have wings to say for sure. But I can introduce you to Hawks. He flies and can tell you about it.”

He met the Hawks a few years ago and they got along well.

Here's where the fun begins.

As he navigated through the battle with an unnerving amount of ease, Anakin got on comms with the 501st.

Thera's eyes flick up, and freeze - along with the rest of her, perfectly still. There always seems to be somebody who feels the need to throw this sort of question at her, and despite the almost-empty glass on the table it's very plain they're courting fire.

"I don't. Choose, that is." Her shoulders straighten and her chin lifts, though her gaze doesn't shift. "Instead," Tone calm, melodic, brushing on falsely nice, "I hunt down whoever is trying to make me choose, and I end them."

She smiles - cold, tight, all pressed lips and no teeth, and that warning stare doesn't waver an inch. An eyebrow lifts.

"Anything else?"

Hela had to do a lot of questionable things in her life. She lived a life moving around taking strange jobs going to questionable places. Still it was never anything like this it was self defense yes but that didn't change the fact that she had killed a man. She had cleaned off the blood scrubbing her skin until it was red and put on fresh clothes but still she did not feel clean. She is numb and quiet trying not to picture what had happened in her mind thinking of scrubbing at her skin again under water.

The plate is set in front of her and she flinches at the sound. She has been snapped back into reality. She looks up at Din then back at the food. She shakes her head pushing the plate toward him some. "I had a big breakfast but thank you please have my portion." She rubs her face before looking back at the man. "Is he still sleeping?" Amazingly Grogu had slept through it all no doubt because of the long day they'd had yesterday but she still wants to check on him to make sure he's okay since she knows there's little else that will make her feel alright.

"I found Rex and Bad Batch and we have been saving our brothers all this time. Rex has been part of the rebellion from the very beginning. We also carry out rare assignments for Senator Organa."

"That's good to hear, I'm glad you're able to do that Cody."

She had known about Rex being a part of the Rebellion, but she didn't know about The Bad Batch. She was glad they were a part of it too. She was also happy that Cody was able to help save his brothers. She felt just as guilty about the fate of the clones as she did about the fate of the Jedi.

"And you know what, I suppose it's expected from someone like you as well to help the Rebellion in that way. I hope you're able to save as many of your brothers as you can."

It will be good if General Kenobi finds out about all this. Perhaps then he will have a chance for forgiveness. Perhaps this is fate? This meeting could be fateful. He smiled at her.

"Mutually, sir. What are you doing now? Are you hiding or are you part of the rebellion?"

"I'm a part of the Rebellion these days. I spent a few years hiding, but I found it wasn't for me." She admitted.

"What about you? Since you deserted from the Empire what have you been doing?"
