I feel like the minority in that I hate Liam’s Loyalty Mission. It gives me a damn anxiety attack every time with the frequently changing map.
I am really bad with adjusting to rapid change, so it’s a nightmare for me.
Peebee’s does similar, in the fact that if it’s been a pinch since playing, I’ll forget where I’m supposed to go and fall into lava. 😩

thinking hard. about last life grian saying about etho “he has no loyalty to you, he’s just immediately teamed up with the next guy that’s come along. if he loved you why didn’t he give you a life" and secret life etho saying about grian “he had to move on with his life, what was he supposed to do, mourn the whole time?" both projecting their own reasonings for ‘abandoning’ certain alliances when they turned south. these two being teamed and staying loyal until the end. can anyone hear me

crozier being kidnapped and telling goodsir not to worry because edward will be there on the morrow, completely sure of it, like it's inevitable. edward in fact immediately going to rally the men to get crozier back and finding they held a vote without him and it's been decided they'll leave without crozier (and without the sick). edward having the choice between being left alone with no chance at crozier's rescue or his own survival, or taking up his duty and leading the men onward. crozier in hickey's camp believing in edward's sense of loyalty and edward not showing up, not knowing how edward fought for him. crozier showing up at the final camp seeing edward mutilated but alive like he told him to, only to die. thinking about edward's absolute sense of loyalty to his captain and duty towards the men tearing him apart and it never saves anyone

MORE DREADWING TALK!
Dreadwing isn't a character I particularly resonate with for his own sake (like his personality doesn't do it for me), but he was so great for what he revealed about other characters.
So, Dreadwing is a foil to Starscream. Starscream is sneaky; Dreadwing is forthright. Starscream will do anything to survive; Dreadwing is all about honor. Starscream will sacrifice any other person / relationship to get ahead; Dreadwing puts his life on the line to try to avenge his brother.
And finally, Starscream is good at his job, Dreadwing isn't.
This is one of the most interesting things about Dreadwing. He's buff, he's serious, he's honorable, but once you start looking at his track record . . . hoo boy.
Mission to get rid of Airachnid: Dreadwing loses control of Breakdown, allowing him to be goaded and lured away by Airachnid, who kills him and traipses away.
Antarctic mission: Dreadwing returns emptyhanded while a rogue Starscream escapes with the Apex Armor.
Omega Key mission: Dreadwing gets knocked out by his own bomb; Starscream clocks Smokescreen from behind and steals the Omega Key.
So let's fast forward to the episode "Regeneration". Dreadwing has just learned that Starscream turned DW's twin into a zombie with dark energon. Megatron tells Dreadwing to get along with Starscream because the 'Cons can only succeed if they're united.
Tumblr media
Dreadwing is like "okay" and immediately goes to the med bay to kill Starscream. While Starscream is cowering and pleading, Megatron storms in and orders Dreadwing to stand down. Dreadwing refuses but right before he can kill Starscream, Megatron shoots a hole straight through him.
Tumblr media
So, Megatron would have preferred to keep both Starscream and Dreadwing on his team . . . and IMO he did initially prefer Dreadwing's vibe to Starscream's. After all, why wouldn't an ex-gladiator prefer the hulking warrior who has the strength and confidence to directly confront his foes, over the lanky, conniving guy who has to plot in the shadows and backstab to accomplish his goals?
But when he only had a second to decide between the two, Megatron shot the big buff guy who kept failing missions and was actively disobeying him, and saved the skinny sneaky guy who--even hobbled by the loss of his t-cog--had succeeded in obtaining four important relics and who could (somewhat) be controlled.
Dreadwing might have been a better person than Starscream, but Starscream was a better Decepticon. And making Megatron realize that was the most significant thing Dreadwing ever did on the show.

In my mind, Tali's parents were in a sort of... lavender marriage*, and their true partners were Shala'Raan and Han'Gerrel.
I mean - Raan was the one who was with Tali's mother when she was born. They synced their suits with each other. It's implied that she was like a second parent to Tali, that she spent more time with her and her mother than Rael during her childhood.
On the other hand, Gerrel speaks of Rael'Zorah as being his partner in crime since they were teenagers. He tells their story with a fondness that speaks of years of partnership. He's the only one who notices that Shepard was deflecting when defending Tali, but let's be real - he doesn't know Shepard. He knew Rael. He's also the only one you're allowed to confide in when it comes to the secret geth experiments.
*Not because I believe the quarians are homophobic, I just think it could be a practice they used to mantain their population. After all, Tali explains in ME1 that sometimes they had to put in laws to make sure the population remained sustainable. Added to the quarian's inherent loyalty to each other... well, this way, they had a child as expected, but could keep their preferred partners.

They just have the perfect dynamic 🔴🔵
And then comes this split second scene of these two idiots in the background.
Tumblr media
The minute the enemy turns their back to take a call for a second, they both start debating if they'll go full bad cop and commit to the bit. 🤣 They are such dorks when they're together. Your Honor I love them! 🥺

i wish me3 had loyalty missions it would be so sooo good. assisting some shadow broker agents with liara. joining kaidan/ashley on one of their first spectre assignments to reassure them. helping garrus to evacuate his family from palaven. sticking around with tali on rannoch to make sure quarians and the geth are doing fine. handing a serious job to james and guiding him through it as a part of his n7 training. going on a task with edi to help her adjust to working with other people as a person and not as a vi. visiting javik's squad's resting place with him. doing little favors for your friends in the middle of a war because life itself hasn't ended yet and you want to make it a little easier for them while you have some time left

“बहुत अजीब थी वो
गुनाह की तरह छुपी-छुपी,
तो सवाब ही तरह ज़ाहिर
और कभी, किस्मत की तरह बेतुकी”

Shrouded like a sin
Obvious like a sacred deed
And sometimes, illogical like fate.”)

Every now and then I'll go "I can't believe Counter/weight is only the second season, it's so good" when in reality a lot of the things I like about it are clearly the result of it being the second season.

Im mentally chewing on the fact it's now Commander Scorch on his own working for Hemlock.
Like it'd be really fucked up if the reason he stayed and the others either didn't (as in they took a path similar to the books and got out altogether, they're some of the first clones eligible for retirement after all given their service records) is Sev and having to leave him behind. Or maybe the other's have since died. and he's the only one left to keep going. hooooo

“Matt…” she murmured, “Matt…”
The right side of his face was coated in blood and his lips split. The wound in his thigh had soaked his uniform trousers and she could see from how he held his left arm that something was broken or dislocated.
He handed her a blaster before he swiftly tugged at her uniform jacket.
“S’okay,” he slurred, turning to gingerly wipe some of the blood and grime off his face and onto his sleeve. “You’re gonna be ok, you hear me, Lieutenant?”
He almost ripped her jacket open to reveal the spreading bloodstain on her henley right above her waistband.
She knew it was bad. She’d known that the moment she’d been shot and Matt had dragged her to the meagre shelter of this tree. Up to that point, she’d really believed they could make it. After four days being held by the Pyke Syndicate, they had figured out an escape plan.
And despite their injuries from the expected beatings, they had all made the sprint uphill into the tree line. Maddy had felt the burn then and it was like someone had punched her hard in the back, but she kept going. She had to. She was dead if she didn’t.
This installment is for @accidental-spice
she’ll know why😉

Some thoughts for Cooper's New Vegas AU:
Companion for the Courier, recruitable in the bar at Boulder City. He says he's enjoying a drink at a historical city, but he clearly has some ulterior motives.
Recruiting him takes a down payment, or a very high persuasion check.
Anti-Legion. EXTREMELY Anti-House. Will tolerate NCR, but will push for an independent New Vegas.
Will leave the Courier if they side House, but it is possible to pay him off if you have his loyalty.
Will take care of Rex when neither are with the Courier.
Provides a lot of information about House and the old world, if the Courier has his loyalty. Without his loyalty, most of his answers are either long-winded metaphors or total bullshit.
Companion perk: Old School Cowboy. When entering VATS, there is a 10% chance Cooper will instantly execute your target in a bloody mess.
FACTIONS PRO: powder gangers, Followers of the Apocalypse, Jacobstown, Utobitha, Kings. FACTIONS ANTI: White Glove Society, Omertas, Chairmen, Boomers, Enclave Remnants, Caesar's Legion, House. FACTIONS NEUTRAL: NCR, Great Khans, Crimson Caravan, Gun Runners, Van Graffs.
