Here is what I said in 2017.... 🥰My Momma LOVED Valentine’s Day. Y’all are not hearing me. Hearts. Roses. Chocolates. Gifts. All the Frippery and Fluff… Love was what my Momma was all about. She used to say that “Chosen Love” is why we are alive. Art is because of LOVE. How can you argue with that? This woman used to tell me that I was given to her when she was young because she needed powerful love, because I was her truest love. That my being here showed her that God was real. That my loving her, emboldened & healed her. So can you see why I treasure Love and Valentine’s Day so very much? It is the day when you cannot show your affection too much. You cannot hug too much. You cannot kiss too much. And you cannot anything too much. Love is EVERYTHING Y’all. A bit on the Saint….**St. Valentine is the Patron Saint of affianced couples, bee keepers, engaged couples, epilepsy, fainting, greetings, happy marriages, love, lovers, plague, travellers, and young people. Tears...

For the first time in forever I cried today. Not just one of the those sad cries, but a deep, painful, full body cry that sticks with you hours after you’ve gained your composure. Hours later i still feel like my eyes are on fire and weigh 100 pounds. I hope I don’t forget how it felt to have this pain ripped from my soul today. 

I allowed myself to be vulnerable and openly give and show love. I knew the consequences before I went down this road and I’m at peace with the outcome.

i feel peaceful right now knowing that I was able to express true sadness and pain without the darkness trying to creep in like it has so many other times.

I deserve to be loved and I deserve someone that will accept my love openly. 

Let this heartbreak set you free to find someone that will accept you with all of your talents, quirks, and faults. Its better to be alone and love yourself than to make the same mistakes again.
