they gave us one whole episode of clingy ryu sun jae i love it!

okay, but can we talk about how much of a loser sol was for sunjae before they kissed in this scene?

it's actually so interesting to think about: before, all her time and energy were devoted to keeping sunjae alive and breathing. she simply didn't have room to indulge in the actions you normally associate with being in love for the first time: being clingy, seeking attention, wanting more intimacy.

we already know that sol loves sunjae just as insensibly as he loves her; but it was nice to see confirmation; that given half a chance, sol is just as capable (and willing) to behave goofily and get easily flustered because of sunjae. they're equally crazy about each other, sol just finally feels safe enough to reciprocate. they really are a perfect match.

one of the things i loved most about this episode was watching sol finally get to be herself with sunjae, without the threat of their time being snatched away: she got to be her real, true, cute, wacky, adorable self. she got to be free, without guilt, without worry. she got to focus on her own dreams, too.

and of course sunjae loved her for it, as he has loved all versions of her. of course he patiently supported her and waited by her side, because he's the softest, most attentive boyfriend.

i love to see love. and i love to see love happy.

and i love sol and sunjae most of all.

Of course Im Sol doesn't act as in love as Sun-jae, she's literally in a different genre.

Sol is in a murder mystery or a rescue mission. Sun-jae is oblivious and fully living in a RomCom. Even when he's told he's going to die in 15 years, he's still only focused on romance. He hasn't been watching the person he loves die in every timeline, the danger is not real to him.

When Sol finally thinks they are safe, she fully commits to the romance, but those moments of perceived safety are very brief. She only gets about 24 hours in the present timeline (Ep 8), a few weeks in college (I think? Timeline is unclear), and most of Ep 16. But just because she isn't making heart eyes in every other moment, she's still completely focused on trying to save Sun-jae. It's just a different kind of love.

this ep feels so bittersweet. their interaction, sunjae (once again) being lawser, sol's hiding her real feelings for years without telling anyone... when sol was crying, i cried with her. it's so painful.

her genuinely laugh for the whole episode and the cause is ryu sunjae. why i feel like it's been long time since i see her laughing like this? it suits her more than all those sadness an depressed look 😭 and ofc ryu sunjae was there and fell for her (again)

he shot right at the point and made her speechless. 😔😔

ALSO THE ENDING??? SUNJAE HAD THE NECKLACE HE GAVE TO SOL BEFORE THE LAST TIME SLIP..... IM CRYING like this man didn't even remember sol, but he still chose to buy (probably) this necklace and even wearing it till now.... and for a second, i really thought he just pretending not remember her.

They really did solve the taxi driver issue in the first 5-10 min and then we got a whole hour of happiness! and it's not just of only Sun Jae and Sol but their all friends and families too 😭🥹💖💖💖

yall I was Not Ready for episode 15 of lovely runner T.T

Imagine being Seonjae and having all those memories from 3 (!!!) different timelines come back to you at once, all about that woman you feel strangely almost magically drawn to and who has just a little while ago rejected you, referencing the person she loves as the reason she and you can't ever be a possibility, and you realise that in a past you only now remember, a past that your current self hasn't truly lived but did, you loved this woman more than your own life and saved her from harm time and time again, that this woman went back in time again and again and again to make sure you lived, even if that meant she had to decide that she and you had to be strangers in the end, and that the reason she blocked all your attempts of becoming closer to her (some of which were almost more unconscious than conscious) because you were in fact the person she loves and that she is once again trying to protect you from harm, even at the expense of her happiness

Okay, I absolutely get what we say when we call Sun Jae a loser and he's absolutely about to enter his loser era in this lifetime (I approve). But he's just a guy in love who doesn't try to stoically stomp it down, as most male leads do. So, is he a loser? Or refreshingly authentic?

"Why are you two acting crazy as a set this morning?" Gosh, this cast. I even like Madam CEO, she's a doll.

Sun Jae's dad does not know the meaning of a humble brag. As he should, his son is the gold standard. Get ready to witness your son chase this woman for the rest of their lives.

I love Jung Young-Joo, she's so beautiful. One of my fave ahjumma actresses.

Why did he come down the slide like that, I'm-

He would follow her anywhere if she led him by the hand.

I adore when he's scandalized by his own memories, that hand to the mouth in shock just tickles me.

Bless you Tae Sung, you took care of the killer subplot and gave us an ENTIRE episode of fanservice.

The scene in the library!!! She's always turning him into her older brother LOL. But this is why they're so good in this rom com. She's just as much of a loser as he is 😂😂😂.

I could just watch a slice-of-life version of the families. I live for their family meetings. It's wonderful how much Sun Jae's dad loves him.

There goes my comfort show these past weeks. I truly enjoyed it all.

I cannot believe how many tropes they incorporated but it still felt so fresh. This is the difference between Trope Done Tired and Trope Done So Well It Feels Fresh.

can we also appreciate the fact that not only did this kdrama incorporate almost ALL kdrama tropes known to mankind but every single one of those had a twist????

I'm also specifically refering to the white truck here. The ultimate weapon for all screenwriters when they want to insert unnecessary angst impact in the last two episodes but Li Sieun used it to GET RID of the angst entirely??? like finally the bigass white truck of doom kills someone that ACTUALLY needs to be killed and gives us clearance for 1 hour of fluff??? wowwww li sieun just gave therapy of satisfaction to us all fr
