alrighty hiii 🦦 it’s been so long but i’m back!!!! i stopped reading for a bit bc life got busy but also bc i had to literally put myself on restriction from your blog bc i was fr obsessed and constantly checking to see if you had updated when you were on your break and so one day i was just kinda like “wow let’s be a lil more normal abt this i think i need a break too” HAHAHAHAH so i kinda just forced myself to stop checking for a bit 💀 but then i was back reading and simply not commenting bc i couldn’t find the time hahahahah!
ANYWAYS im not super sure what the last shtuff i commented on was but i do know it was around the time you were introducing max!!! so first off i wanted to say that I LOVE HIM <333 i was a lil weary at first but he grew on me and omg the fic where we get to hear his thoughts as/after vin takes care of him???? SOB
NOW. while i do love max, i don’t know how i feel abt the idea of a vin/wen/max throuple🤠 so i’ve been STRESSED LMAO💀 i think im just super protective of wen and i absolutely LOVE wen and vin together so so so much that the thought of anything changing SCARES ME sm😭 and like,, what if things dont work out and vin and wen end up breaking up bc of it???? i’d sob for days. i think more than anything though it’s that thing you/someone mentioned abt the throuple trope needing to be super careful in terms of not just making it wen+vin and max+vin separately, but actually them all liking one another romantically and sexually, and it’s just hard for me to visualise that happening between max and wen? but also,, we haven’t seen them interact too much yet which is super exciting bc there’s so much to explore!!! so while i’m scared abt it, im also super intrigued and i simple CANNOT WAIT FOR THE MIGRAINE FIC YOU TEASED!!!!! pls make it long and maybe a lil angsty 🤭😌🫶🏽 i’m super excited to see how their dynamic turns out to be in this situation!!!!
🦦
Oh my god, OTTER!! How are you babe?!!
JHsahfdsakj you described me exactly when I was on break, I had to uninstall tumblr from my phone because I couldn't stop lurking. I hope life is treating you well, darling!
Max has the super power of growing on people like mold <3 I know the trouple won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I hope you guys will trust me on this journey and hang in there.
I'm not entirely sold either, I'm just letting these characters take the wheel and I have made a promise to myself of not forcing anything on this blog. It's my "sparks joy self indulgent" corner, I mean, I'm writing sickness porn, I think if there's one place I need to be self indulgent it's here.
In my real life I'm a very planned author, I have outlines and I'm actually taking care with pace and wording and always checking with beta readers.... Here I want it to be relaxed and to just happen naturally.
So no, Vince/Wendy are NOT breaking up, no matter how the trouple pans out or don't, there's no world where I'd do that, I really enjoy my pairings!! And I'm very excited to hear your thoughts in the recent fics and the interactions between Wen/Max, oh ye of little faith 😂😂

Dr. Garden and John Laurens
“His general character is so well known, and has been so ably fedpicted by others, that I have little to say that can increase its celebrity. His extensive information, and classical knowledge, obtained the respect of the learned. His polite and easy behavior, insured distinction in every polished society. The warmth of his heart, gained the affection of his friends, his sincerity their confidence and esteem. His patriotic integrity commanded the veneration of his countrymen— his intrepidity their unlimited applause.”
“His gallantry, in action, was highly characteristic of his love of Fame. The post of danger was his favourite station. Some, indeed, may style his display of intrepidity, at every risk, the height of rashness.”
“From such a display of chivalric gallantry in early life, may not friendship be allowed to say, without the imputation of improper partiality— To auger from the achievements which the past had exhibited, had not Death stopped the career of his glory, he would have proved a model, both of civil and military virtue, "a mirror by which our youth might dress themselves".”
From Anecdotes of the Revolutionary War in America: With Sketches of Character of Persons the Most Distinguished, in the Southern States, for Civil and Military Services by Alexander Garden.
The description Garden gives here takes a new perspective considering he met Laurens around his 15ts and literally watched him grow up, considering Laurens a good friend of him and specially, thinking in Laurens like a person who he had great expectations and opportunities in the country.
Considering his age difference I think Garden naturally would had thought John would be the one outliving him, but at the end, was him who outlived John for almost 10 years.
It's just, kinda sad to think, Garden had great expectations about Laurens and always looked to kept an eye on him even when their correspondece stopped however all of those good wishes ended up broken with his death. This brings a question, how conscientious Garden was about his pressure in Laurens? How much this pressure (alongside others one in his life) affected Laurens? The Garden's expectations over him have the tendency of being so good and so positive that it can touch the ambition of perfection in Laurens.
And with that, we can just wonder how pressured John was to make the things great and correct and how much it affected to his self-esteem and mental health.

YOU ARE THE MAGIC.
Magic is in your knowledge as a witch, in your wisdom, in your spiritual and mental energy and the intelligence of how to use it. It is about your inner power and creativity, always be inventive because everything can be a magical instrument.
---
✨ Don't have the right tools for your spell? Burn a candle with the intention and your true will, let the candle represent the four elements, the flame is the fire, which also burns in the air ... The liquid wax stands for Water and the candle itself stands for Earth ... write a word on the candle that has to do with your intention, and learn to visualize well.
✨ Do you feel threatened? visualize a protective white circle around you, or roses with protective thorns around your home.
✨ Wear corresponding colors, paint your nails for example; red for more passion, wear gold or yellow for protection.
✨ Do you not feel grounded and unsafe? - put your feet on the ground, even if you are indoor; Visualize that roots from your feet enter the earth and you deliver the negativity to Mother Earth, she will transform it to positive energy that will penetrate you - in a warm yellow glow from your feets... this glow slowly up to goes to your navel, while from above through your crown ... opal white light enter through your crown, that fills you up 'till your navel - The two heavenly and earthly forces merge together in you and will heal your soul, body and psyche. ✨ Chant: "I am surrounded by circles of light, and nothing can harm me." "," I and my loved ones are divinely protected. "
The elements and forces are present everywhere, in and around us. Open up your window, let the fresh air come in, put on your hob and there is fire, put your pan on it and there is your witch cauldron, pluck flowers or take some ground ... there is earth. Use herbs, there are the correspondences.
Learn... symbols; correspondeces; how to strengthen your intuition; how to visualize; what is your will.
A real witch always finds a way, because she is connected to everything ....

🐚🍑🌸 Seashell Magick + Correspondence II🐚🍑🌸
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
🌷💗 Hello little rosebuds! For today’s post i want to show you folks on how i create correspondeces for seashells! At the near bottom of this post i selected some shells that i assign correspondence with my own personal thoughts and meaning. This is what i do when im bored, i find pictures of seashells that i like and i assign correspondences on them. 🌷💗
🕊 How i do it 🕊
Depending on shell I like to look up on the basic info on the shell and then I split into 7 categories: color, shape, name of the shell, feminine/masculine energies, element, animal behavior and uses in history/myths
Note: This applies to shells that haven't had any magickal correspondences in them.
• Colors: depending on the most common color of the shell you can use existing color correspondence to assign the shells with it too! Some gastropods have nacre inside the shell this associates with beauty such as abalone and top shells.
• Shapes: there are a million kinds of shapes of shells, depending what's it reminds you of. Most shells look similar and its totally okay to assign similar correspondence to them! Some shells can even resemble as human body parts and reproductive organs such as augers and cowries! You can use shells that are similar to any body parts to give it an extra boost!
• Shell name: most shells can be named after objects, figures or what they do. This is the first easy way to assign their correspondence to, since they're practical depending on the name. Shells such as spindle shell and venus comb murex.
• Femmine/masculine energies: some shells can look nsfw-y depending on the shape or animal behavior. If the shell doesn't look nsfw you can determine if the animal's behavior. If the animal is aggressive you can assign it with masculine energy. If it's calm and passive assign it with feminine energy.
• Element: depends on the feminine/masculine energies, how the shell is used, shell name, animal behavior or where the shell of the animal spends most of its time on.
• Animal behavior: most shells can be relaxed, they can bury themselves into sand, hiding/showing themselves off or come off as very aggressive. An interesting way to assign the shells with!
• History/myth: shells can be used throughout history such as jewellery making, using it as water vessels, divination, money, decorative objects and so on. Some Greek/Roman deities names can be featured on shells such as venus clams, junonia shells and triton's conch, you can use deity symbols to align shells with. Plus you can also offer them shells that aligns with their names!
💐 Correspondence list 💐
• Baby's Ear shell: purity, grace, innocence, ear health, aggression, warding/shielding, protection, masculine energies + air element
• Babylonia shell: peace, scavenging, protection, aggression, masculine energies + earth element (not to be confused with junonia shells)
• Bailer shell (Melo-Melo): beauty, purity, prosperity, aggression, can be used as a water vessel, feminine energies + water element
• Carrier snail: attraction, wealth, love, peace, luck, friendships, good health, can be used to attract anything, femmine + masculine energies, earth element
• Delphinula/Dolphin shell: loyalty, weatlh, abundance, wisdom, playfulness, protection, gentleness, feminine + masculine energies, air + water element
• Elegant venus clam: (actually looks like a vagina) fertility, love, pregnancy, growth, cycles, female sexuality, protection, beauty, menstruation problems, feminine energies + water element
• Kitten's paw shell: youth, innocence, playfulness, protection for cats, feminine energies + water element

Sacred Black Goat - Day 1
In Brazil, there`s a very popular prayer surrounded by mystery and superstition attributed to Saint Cyprian of Antioch, in wich it is asked to a Sacred Black Goat to bind a object of love under petitioner.
My objective is to contact the spirit and have him work as a `familiar`.
My first meditations with the spirit attributes, traditional correspondecs and lore, led me to regard it as a familiar given to Saint Cyprian by the Devil himself.
Did my first evocation of SBG free hand, even though the lore strongly suggests to have a point knife while doing it.
The first contact with the spirit was overwhelming, I regreted very much I didn`t have the knife at hand. A very aggresive spirit and a domineering one. Had to break rapport/resonance and banish before the expected.

Deck Review:
The Iluminated Tarot by Caitlin Keegan is becoming a favorite tarot deck for me and other tarot practitioners. As a yogi, someone approaching tarot from a Vedic arts, science and philosophy perspective, this deck is amazing.
This deck has everything: beautiful colors, cartomancy, and references to the "deeper meanings" ( for me, deeper meanings include Vedfic references in regards to natural, healthy living as per the Vedas and Puranas including but not limited to Vedic astrology, Tantra/ Mantra/ Tantra meditations/ practices, ayurveda and what westerners describe as the physical yoga postures of western yoga studios).
The artwork is beautiful. This deck is in my humble opinion the ultimate card deck for meditation/ tarot reading/ mindfulness/ sacred spaces and is a MUST have for every tarot / cartomancy collector/ reader. This card deck will not disappoint. I have included a link to purchase the deck. I am not affiliated with Ms. Keegan. This is an independent, unbiased review of "the Illuminated Tarot."
Here are just some of my personal favorites:
Tumblr media
A ♣️/ Stregnth
A 🔥
Just wow. Immediately, I see Magha themes pertaining to the first house as well as the many themes of the Strength card. I feel this is a fantastic combination of so many thoughts pertaining to "as above so below" themes of Vedic culture and Vedic philosophies. Also, Tree of Life themes. Just an amazing card.
Tumblr media
Q♥️ / Q 🏺
I for one. always love the Queen of Hearts/ Queen of Cups depicted as the Empress ( I recently described how perfect it is to combine the themes/ archetypes of the Queen of Hearts/ Empress in a post about Dame Darcy's amazing "Queen Alice" Tarot Deck).
Bharani Nakshatra. The clergy. Water. Emotions. Venus, the moon. Aries. Family. The Brahmins. Feminine energy. "The Bearer".
I see this as a beautiful representation of the Empress and the Queen of Hearts and how both archetypes are described by the Vedas and the Puranas. I love this as a yogi and as a tarot card reader.
9 of ♥️
Tumblr media
9 of ♥️ 9 of Cups
LOVE This!!!
9th house/ 9th Bhava. Signifies many, many things in Vedic Culture and philosophy including ( but not limited to) higher learning, higher wisdom, higher education, higher self, higher religion, distant travels, long distance travel, foreign lands, Jupiter, Jupiter related nakshatras ( Purnavasu, Vishakha, PurvaBadhrapada). The 9th House is also the natural karaka ( Significator) of the Rasi sign of Sagittarius. Sagittarius includes the nakshatra/ moon mansions Mula, Purvashada, and Uttarashada according to the Sidereal zodiac. Western sidereal nakshatras include Jyeshta, Mula and Purvashada. Also, planetary correspondece can be and often is interpreted Ketu/ or the South node of the moon . Ketu is the natural karaka of "what is on the inside", passive energy, feminie energ, past lives, what we already know, where we find our peace amlmgts many, many other things signified by Ketu as per Vedic culture/ Vedic philosophy. All of this can be seen simply because of the 9. Of course, the number nine can mean so much more to anyone using this deck and of course the card reading/ tarot reading community supports and recommends interpretations to be personal and up to each card reader.
Hearts/ Cups are traditionalky equated to the water elements or Jala in accordance to Vedic customs and Vedic traditions. Jala, one of five of the elements is important in understanding the natural health systems found in Vedic culture and traditions including traditions such as Ayurveyda, for instance. Keegan herself acknowledges the tradition of tarot readings/ card readings having many, many meanings other than the key words that she provides in the guidebook accompanying this amazing deck, which if course card readers everywhere are also in agreement.
Many interpret the 9 of hearts% 9 of Cups as a Wish fulfilment/ celebration card. That interpretation/ traditional meaning works here as well. Obviously, the green liquid seemingly poured into the cups is likely poisonous and harmful to those who may be consuming the liquid. Even as poison, this can be seen as a Wish fulfilment according to Vedic culture and tradition. Medicine and poison often go hand in hand according to the natural health care found in Vedic culture. Often, it is described that "poison is inflicted to bring out the illness," as found in inflicting venom for snake bites, for instance. Also, the purpose of the Ugra ( sharp, dreadful, fierce) nakshatras is to inflict pain or to destroy and is seen as necessary to good health according to the Vedas and the Puranas. According to the Vedas and the Puranas, alcohol was/ is considered medicine and not necessarily prohibited for consumption. Of course alcohol historically has been seen as medicinal and as destructive in all ultures and philosophy.
Vedic nakshatras/ moon mansions along with other "moon mansions" such as the Chinese and Arabic moon mansions all describe "muhurtas" or auspices times for destruction, attacks, and even poisoning on one's enemies. Ancient kings utilized Ugra nakshatras for all kinds of things including warfare, and the destruction of enemies, even murdur. Of course modern tarot readers/ yoga practitioners take into consideration what is appropriate to meditation/ card reading and adjust appropriately.
8 ♣️
Tumblr media
As a playing card, the 8 ♣️is described as one of 3 fixed playing cards. Traditionally, Tarot card readers use similar interpretations as something in the trajectory, on its way, something that is imminent, and it seems Keegan utilizes traditional meanings along with a beautiful peacock illustration. Peacocks of course signify many, many things in Vedic culture as well as other cultures. I personally have my favorite peacock Significators I use in meditation/ card reading as do many other mindful/ tarot practitioners. I love having achance to utilize the Peacock when meditating/ connecting with my higher self. LOVE having the the Peacock here.
8th house/ 8th Bhava signified many, many things including being the original Significators of Scorpio. Scorpio, is fixed water sign ruled by Mars/ co-ruled by Ketu ( according to Vedic tradition) and according to the Sidereal zodiac consists of nakshatras Vishakha, Anarudha, and Jyeshta. Western sidereal astrologers describe Jyeshta, Mula and Purvashada as the nakshatras / moon mansions, as well as Jupiter/ Sagittariys as 8th house Karakas as per Vedic astrology.
Themes of the 8th house often include transformation, death, genitals, secrets, inheritance, sudden events, accidents, secrets, the "Scorpio Sting" amongst many, many other things according to Vedic astrology/ philosophy/ culture and tradition.
The above three cards found in "the Illumnitaed Tarot," are cards I found to be useful on sharing my personal enthusiasm for this card deck in regards to meditation and tarot reading. I do hope this post has been useful in reviewing "the Illuminated Tarot," and it's potential for mindfulness, meditation, astrology, tarot reading, yoga, natural healing, natural medicine, card reading, art therapy, card playing, entertainment purposes and the many, many other uses/ purposes of using a deck of cards.
Namaste
