I'm still figuring some stuff out with them, but as of now they're like, viruses that latch onto and feed off of (preexisting) soul bonds and then protect their source of food vehemently. The host becoming a 'yandere' is just the outwardly visible effect, they're not insane just sick.

Which is why I like to call the little viruses 'lovebugs', which is a 'luvsick' offshoot, which is the pat variant of the sickness. I figure itd be cool if you could actually 'cure' the sickness, I jus haven't decided what runs them off or kills them yet

Each little heart floating around them represents how many other 'bugs' they can infect other potential hosts with. Though they can regenerate alot more when feeding off of a soulbond

Pining Klance get lovebugg-ed and the rest of Team Voltron decide to take a vacation as they wait for the venom to work it's way out of their system. The venom is harmless, but Klance are starting to get uncomfortably handsy as the days wear on, so Pidge and Hunk set up cameras to record (but not monitor. no one wants to see that.) their activities so k/l can watch it later and report issues that might have popped up during the team's weekend getaway. So they've got the castle to themselves (1/2

and their drugged up minds tell them it's a great idea to fuck on every surface in the castle. They get separated when they go to grab something from each of their rooms and pass out. When they wake up they have no idea what happened or why they're naked but they shrug it off until the team gets back and Pidge locks them in a room to make them collect info for debriefing. Klance end up having to watch the video 11x because they kept getting "distracted" :)
