It really hasn’t been very long, especially considering she also cared for 10 big babies while she’s been here. Look at the before and after pics of Mama Stevie. The top two photos are from her walk to the car the day we picked her and her babies up from the shelter, just hours after her emergency c-section. Almost 12 weeks ago this practically starving dog delivered fourteen puppies - FOURTEEN - 10 of which survived. The happy photo in the bottom right corner is from this morning. THIS is why we foster.
